Belle Update for N8 Product code 059D7G5
Hi,
I was hoping to get belle update for my N8 in Ghana but since the release of the update, I have consistently checked with Nokia suite for the update but I always get no update available. Yesterday, I got an update notification only to realise that it is a service pack 1 for symbian anna.
I have gone through the list of product codes and do not find my product code in the list.
I know I have a genuine Nokia N8, T-Mobile branded.
I had the anna updatte the first time I connected the phone to Nokia Suite and was hoping to to get the belle update this time.
I was wondering if my product code is getting the belle update or if there is something I may have done that is preventing me from getting the update.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated
Post in the relevant thread in the Software Updates section, you have a much greater chance of getting a sensible reply there.

Software update for my Product Code
I guess my product code is 0596011 but I'm not very sure. When are you gonna release the 52.0.007 firmware for my phone? I need to know if releasing will take days, weeks, months or years, because I can't wait. Thank you .
Have a look here.. for how to search your Product Code.. and also to check whether update is available or not..
http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update/can-i-update
BTW this is a User-to-User forum.. so if currently there is no update available then no one on this forum can tell you with any authority.. when that will be.. You will have to wait.. and keep on checking... -
Firmware updates unavailable for most product code...
Hi,
it's over a month now that Nokia has released the latest 40.x.x firmware for its 5800 model, or should I say to a small, privilleged amount of customers? I have purchased a Nokia 5800 via Amazon.de, totally unbranded, product code is 0578314, and up to now, the new firmware is unavailable. Why does it take so long for the firmware to become available at least for the unbranded country versions? Technically, there seems to be no problem at all, since many users simply change their product code and install the new firmware, but I am asking here for an official way to get the new firmware in time. The massive delay in firmware updates for different product codes is simply a pain for us paying customers who want the latest features available.[quote]
Actually, Nokia already is using a similar system. If your phone is unbranded, you still have to consider if its a Regional or Country Variant (similar to the SE phones, and the China versions I stated above). There are basically two types of unbranded handsets: regional generic and country variants.
[/quote]
This fact is not clearly obvious when you buy a phone, so how does a customer know if he gets a CV (copuntry variant) or any other type of phone before buying? When I bought my unbranded 5800XM, I was still thinking that I get a perfect, free phone, and that firmwareupdates can be applied when available. It was absolutely not apparent to me that I would have to wait three months or so, before I can upgrade my phone to a new firmware, once it becomes available -

N97 v.21.0.045 in UK ((for some product codes))
I found today that there's update v.21.0.45 for product code :
0591861 RM-505 BLACK
so i checked the Internet and found that it's available too for product code:
0591721 RM-505 WHITE
so now i have both my N97 (( MENA version and CV UK version )) with v.21 .... yuppy!!
-you can show appreciation to my posts if it helped or useful by pressing the green Kudo star beside my post that hepled
-if my answer was the solution , so click accept as solution button
Started From Nokia 3310 , Now with Nokia N97 v.22.0.110 + N900 PR1.2Be aware that those are not the codes for the standard (most popular) UK models. The update for these two codes has been available for over a week.
They are for the "comes with music" version of the N97 that very few people have, in fact i've not seen it on sale anywhere on the high street yet.
Most people in the UK (with unbranded phones) either have the 0585162 (black UK CV), the 0587240 (white UK CV) or the 0587691 (CPW UK GB Black) codes.
What is more annoying is that this firmware is no different from the standard UK CV firmware.
Any UK users that are unhappy about this please post on this thread:

Unfortunately Nokia will never give an exact date of a forthcoming update. They never have, and they never will. Software waiting for approval has been submitted to the carrier, and they are waiting for the carrier to test the software and approve the update. This has to be done before the update can be made available to anyone on that network.
It doesn't matter which carrier you're with, the answer is usually the same. You'll get no information from either end, so your only option is just to be patient I'm afraid.
I'm on O2 in the UK and the Belle update is still waiting for approval on that network too. On another note entirely, a lot of the people who have updated to Belle have regretted doing so. Who knows, we actually may be better off without it
You're only jealous because the voices in my head won't talk to you.
Currently using: N8-00: Symbian Belle
Previously owned: 5110, 3330, 6310i, 6822, N91, N73, N95, N82, N97, X6 -
Why Nokia is not giving Symbian Belle update for nokia C6-00 while Nokia 500 is running on same platform which is much cheaper than C6-00. I am using C6-00 from around 16 months and the software is really slow and it hangs multiple times in a day. Before purchasing this phone i suggest all friends to purchase nokia phones, at that time i was using nokia's low end phones but when i purchased this phone, it never gives me satisfation that i am using a smartphone. So i am making plan to move on to some other brand.
Thanks and Regards

( An unsatisfactory customer)Belle is not being released for any S60v5 devices, they don't have the necessary internal hardware to run it. The Nokia 500 was released running Anna and it does have the required hardware, it was also released long after the C6-00.
Only S^3 and Symbian Anna devices can be updated to Nokia Belle. S60V5 devices are just too old, even the C6-00 which was released towards the end of that OS's life.
So if you really are unhappy about this then you really do need to switch to another brand. Before you switch you may want to look at that brands history for releasing updates, for example you'll find a lot of older android devices stuck on old versions too.
There is nothing further that this forum or Nokia can do to help you with this. -
Symbian Belle update for S60v5
Hai,
I've a better suggestion to you, Nokia,
Symbian Belle is a nice OS than other Symbian, very similar to Android,
Now you gives Symbian Belle update for all your Symbian^3 devices, like Nokia N8, E7, C7, X7 etc...
My idea is that, Please give Symbian Belle update for Symbian 5th edition phones, if you can't, please give only for Nokia X6, because of this is the only phone with CAPACITIVE TOUCH SCREEN in S60v5 section, only one disadvantage is X6 don't hv 'Multitouch'.
Please Nokia, please...

This is just an advice.
You are right in asking for that to Nokia but I can tell that the chances for you to get what you're asking for are less than ZERO. So my advice to you is to go for an app wich I used myself when I had a S60V5 device and it is "SPB Mobile Shell", I assure you won't regret it. That app made my old 5530XM a decent device to use.
Cheers!
PS.: I've posted the same response in here because they're asking for the same:

When will I get Belle update for 059C9F6: N8-00 RM...
Hi,
I have a Nokia N8 059C9F6: N8-00 RM-596.
This product code was not listed in the roll-ou sheet.
Please can anyone tell me when can I expect the Belle update?
I'm living in Coventry, UK.
Thanks!why do Nokia employee's not know how to reply in a way that is concise and informative?
The original creator of this thread states the product code:059C9F6 and gives a country of origin, where as in your reply you state a code of 0599255 which is not the same (no matter how related internally it may be) and does not help answer anything!
Secondly you do not state if you are referring to the originators country of origin or to other posters on the thread??? How hard would it be to just sum up that for the UK, updates with be on the 8th Feb 2012????
Really, this just shows why as a company Nokia is falling so far behind, if you can't even answer questions successfully so people can glean at a glance the answer! Internal meetings must go on for hours at Nokia, which would explain why any release you ever promise is late!

N8 Belle firmware update for O2 users - 4th March??
Post by jrrsteve on Thu Feb 09, 2012 2:26 pm
Hi,
I have just been told by customer support (via 202) that the O2 Belle release date is the 4th of March. Seems a bit strange when other networks have already released it. Anybody else heard anything different?
Forum Bouyegues
Hello,
The update validated by Bouygues released in Spring in March: to be confirmed, we're working on.
As soon as it is available, you will be informed. Watch this space!

Welcome to the Nokia Forums!
Operator usually release the update when they feel it's ready to be pushed out to their customers. Therefore different operator's will have different release date for Belle.
So even if your product code states that Belle is available for your device, you potentially will have to wait till your operator to authorise and send this out.
We hope you receive your update soon!
Thanks!

Belle update for Orange and Bouygues in 02 weeks
the update will be available within two weeks after the service of an agent on the phone ORANGE is what he said
I'm talking with a counselor from Nokia who told me this:
"The deployment of Nokia Belle started well. This update is already available for mobile bare, open to all operators. However, variants Belle Orange and Bouygues will available in two weeks."
hope it's for real this timeA quick search of the forum finds this thread /t5/Xseries/Nokia-X7-Product-Code-059k1b7/m-p/1338067/highlight/true#M15547 which identifies this as a France variant, and it seems that there is currently no belle update planned. Keep an eye on, http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/nokia-belle-update/nokia-belle-update-availability looking under France to see if the status changes.

Belle update for 059B656 Solved.
Since I wasn't getting the Belle update I called up Nokia. The executive assured me that we would get an update over this weekend (11/12 Feb. India Time) . The delay is due to some technical issues for RM-596 which are getting fixed.
Though I know that many of us may have a feeling of being left out while others are enjoying the new update I guess its better to wait for a few days and have an update which is free from problems.nelton wrote:

I think you were fobbed off by the "executive" because your product code indicates it is a light swap device. Your next course of action is to click on the link below and follow the advice given by Michaels.
