Below most visited, getting started, latest headlines and between the actual webpage screen there are about a dozen firefox support and other site indicators tha i can't close. how can i close them?

That will be the bookmarks toolbar. To hide it, in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Bookmarks Toolbar" entry to de-select it.
You can also control-click on a toolbar and click on eh "Bookmarks toolbar" entry.

Make sure that you have the bookmarks in the Bookmarks Toolbar folder if you want to see them on that toolbar.

It looks like the card may be the problem, and your best bet is to try the Card Reader - this will make the card accessible by the Finder and you may be able to drag the pics off to the desktop or, at worst, try recover the pics with an app like MediaRecover

Everytime I open my imac I get an error message that says: "We're sorry but the Safari browser version your are currently using does not support the community toolbar." I can't see where it affects anything else, but getting an error message on an imac, just doesn't seem right, ya know? How can I get rid of the message.

Apparently an add-on named Community Toolbar was installed at one time, and is causing the problem. To get rid of it, quit Safari, then throw away these files -

Note - if you are using Lion, the Library folder in your home folder (user name folder) is hidden. To get into it, in Finder open the Go menu; with that menu open, press and hold the Option key. An item "Library" will be added to the list, and can then be selected. That will open the Library folder in your home folder.

There is a white straight line which comes under the Most Visited, Getting Started and latest headlines and continues to be on the entire firefox. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but does not work.

You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

I can't find anything to let me get my toolbar back! I don't know how it was removed either so I can't undo what was done. All of the "Help" comments on Firefox.com pertain to adding stuff to your tool bar but I don't have one!

I want my bookmarks to be on the side of the screen the way they always were! My bookmarks toolbar is just showing "Most Visited", "Getting Started", and "Latest headlines"- I want my old setup back! This didn't look like this a few hours ago-

Actually, it's not obvious & common sense would dictate that users' bookmarks would not be left stuck to random computers even once they've logged out of the account. No one wants that if it's a public work computer or if they're traveling & use an Internet cafe. As I am not the only one who has noticed this issue or had bookmarks disappear/be deleted, in addition, common sense would indicate it's not really a very good system. And carrying around a flashdrive to run Firefox off of it is a good solution? Really? Just curious why a useful feature such as being able to login & use your preferences & bookmarks & then logging out removes your preferences when you're gone hasn't been developed. Yahoo keeps my preferences when I logout (it's called My Yahoo!). Maybe a My Firefox or My Chrome solution could be developed.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod/iphone/ipad: File>Transfer Purchases

After deleting the backups, go back to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and make sure iCloud Backup is set to On (if not, turn it on).
