There are standar I-views for this.
log on the portal with the super user Id
and follow following path
Content Administration -> Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP -> End User Content -> Employee Self-Service -> iViews -> Benefits and Payment -> United States -> Benefits Participation , Enrollment , FlexBens Enrollment etc

I'm afraid currently termination rule are only checked via termination workbench (HRBEN**, in R/3).
This functionality is not available in ITS or ESS.
You may have to develop the same in a custom program (or raise a development request.

ESS Benefit Plan Decimals Issue
Hello ,
We are on EP7.0 ECC6.0 and have an Open Enrollment Application which lets employees enroll for various Benefit Plans ....and when they try to Edit the Plan the cost shows up as 9.51 if the value is 9.51 in R/3.The Cost shows up as 9.5 even if the value in R/3 is 9.50....so somewhere the trailing zero is getting discarded ...Please help.

Error in Form16 taken through ESS.
Experts,
While accessing Form16 through ESS, system shows an error. The error key is as follows:
Screen output without connection to user. , error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
I check the Java connections and its working fine and there is no problem with the display of salary statement in ESS.

If the error occurred in your own ABAP program or in an SAP
program you modified, try to remove the error.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:
"DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND" " "
"SAPMSSY0" or " "
"SYSTEM-EXIT"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)

Hi All,
Please help me in the following :
As per my Business requirement i need to delimit a Benefit plan becuase that plan is no longer existed in their business effective form 01.01.2009. So as per their requirement i have deleted the master data records existed after 01.01.2009. Now i need to do some functional configuration so that end user will never enter the data for the "Actions" done through PA40.
This plan is not coming any actions performed enrollment. before the changes itseld this plan is not enrolling. i need to show my user that plan is not active in the enrollment for any of the actions through PA40. and note that this is "Default Offer plan".
I can delimit and closed the plan effective form 01.01.2009. Before that i have to make sure that this plan enrollment is possible if plan is
"OPEN".
Can any one help me how can i show this plan into the action.

Benefit - Enrollment to delete a benefit plan
Hi,
The requirement is to delete a benefit plan (e.g. DENT) from enrollment screen (HRBEN0001):
a) Is to delete a benefit plan via "Define Benefit Programs" the best way?
a) Currently, there are employees already enrolled with benefit plan DENT and have payroll run with it. Is there any impact that need to be considered?

Edited by: Nikki_99 on Aug 5, 2010 2:39 PMI think the requirement probably is to exclude this plan from showing up in 'HRBEN0001' for specific benefit adjustment reasons.
If this is the case, you can remove this through V_74HB_A (for health plan as it's Dental plan). Note, this only exclude the plan from showing up in benefit enrollment; it doesn't prevent user from actually adding this in IT0168 through PA30.
You really don't want to physically remove an existing benefit plan that's either currently or previously used as this would cause inconsistency.

Hi All,
We have certain Benefit Plans which are closed , no more new Enrollment in this plan.But existing employees can change their benefit plan option.
This plan has Plan type as that of many active plans. When i try to see this plan in Enrollment workbench i am not seeing this plan.
Whether its because of Closed status and if any workaround for this issue??

Also Locked concept here we are using with Closed Name.
How if locked employees will be able to change the options...because i am not seeing that option in workbench???

We have an issue that I need your help with. I am new to benefits so any help would be most appreciated.
When an employee tries to enroll their spouse in the Spouse Life benefit plan, he/she cannot enroll them unless they themselves are in the Employee Life plan. This is the way our plan is set up.
We have noticed that on ESS the first time the employee goes into Open Enrollment do this, it will correctly prevent the spouse from being enrolled without the employee having it as well. But if the employee logs off of ESS and then tries again, it will allow the spouse to be enrolled without the employee also being enrolled. It seems as if the rule doesnu2019t u2018applyu2019 all the time.
What are we missing? Is this a plan set up issue or is this an ESS issue?

This question has been answered. It apears that the rule worked one way but not the other so a rule had to be set up on the employee's plan as well.
In other words, we allow employees to enroll their spouse in suuplemental life for the amount of 1/2 the employee's election. In our case the system was allowing the spouse to be enrolled in equal to the amount or even without the employee being enrolled!
It turns out that the spouse plan had a rule about the 1/2 but the employee plan did not therefore there was no cross check happening in that direction.

"No Benefit Plans found for Program Grouping 1st/2nd"
I have configured 1st and 2nd Program Grouping and maintained respective features also.

Unable to open Planning application through Workspace
Hi All,
I have Installed and configured the Hyperion products in the following Order
->Foundation services
->Essbase server
->Essbase Administration service
->Planning
->Reporting and Analysis
->Workspace
We know that workspace is a single user interface.
After configuring, I tried to open the Planning Application through workspace but I could not able to find "*Classic Application Administration*" under Administer option of Navigate menu Kindly guide me.

chiDamYou don't need to start downloading weblogic.
Usually the issue is that either the web server has not been configured (this is not weblogic) or the permissions are not correct in shared services e.g. the hss roles of application creator, dimension editor.
You can always try going to create a planning application directly first http://<planningmachine>:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp

The estimated travel amounts could not be determined
Errors have been discovered when checking the Expense Report. Please correct them in order to proceed.
Whereas we have already maintained entries in the same table.

Error while creating planning application through workspace
Hi,
I am getting the following error when i am trying to create the classic planning application through workspace.
Invalid or could not find module configuration.
Required application module HyperionPlanning.AppWizard is not configured. Please contact your administrator.
Communication Error.

I am facing the same issue. Reconfiguring Web server did not help. It is still not coming up and the link to planning that you have shared here is also not working. I am doing it on RHEL and facing issue with the same. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I checked the mod_jk log which has the following:

While updating banks details through ESS, " change in the payroll past not possible".
I have checked IT0003 and noticed that accounted to 31.08.2014.

When the infotype 0009 is modified, the system is regrouping data for the infotypes which are checked releavnt according to the table T582G. Retroactivity is checked via V_T582A In view V_T582A for infotype 0009 you will see, I guess, that the field 'Past entry all.' is maintained with an 'E'. This means that it is not allowed to maintain any infotype 0009 record for the payroll past. The important day for this check is the last day of the last accounted period. Retroactive change of infotype 0009 is not permitted as the bank transfer is already done. This is the reason why this infotype can not be changed retroactively. For bank records end user must not be allowed to maintain past date records and should not be allowed to change any other detail of record when payroll for that period is already run. for e.g. if current date is 26/11/2013. Then end user must not be allowed to edit other bank record effective from 25/11/2013. We should not allow end user to edit record effective from 27/11/2013 because payroll is already run for that period. If user is allowed to change then data maintained in infotype 9 and information send to payroll may be different. You can use BAdi HRXSS_PER_BEGDA,to default the next payroll period -
Issue in migration of Planning artifacts through LCM
Hi,
I am trying to migrate EPMA planning application from development server to production server. I am using LCM for the migration and have taken export of the HSS, EPMA, Planning and FR & WA artifacts. I am now importing these artifacts in to production server, however I can not proceed with migration of Planning artifacts through Migration Wizard as I got stuck on the "Destination" step where I got message as "There is no destination available to migrate".
Please guide me on this...

Break down the migration into product areas first, start with HSS and then migrate, then move on to planning and HSS, this should narrow down where the issue is
That is what I am doing - I am migrating the artifacts separately i.e. I migrated the HSS first then migrated EPMA Architectue and at last I tried migrating the Planning artifacts during which I got stuck with selection of "Destination" for Planning artifacts.

For this I need to create a planning application manually before migrating, and since my planning application is EPMA enabled application and not a classic application I guess I should not create a planning application manually before starting migration. Please guide me on how can I ensure that planning application exist before migrating the same on to target environment

ALV Report to display the status of the requests raised through ESS

We have to develop a ALV report to display the status of the requests raised through ESS
for Leave, Travel & Event Management, Travel and Appraisal workflows.
ESS Travel, ESS TEM, ESS Apraisal workflows are associted with SAP Business Objects.
we are using the function module SWI_WORKITEMS_OF_OBJTYPE_GET to get
the top level work item id's by passing the object type like PDRELA_025, BUS2089.
By using SWP_WORKFLOW_LOG_READ function we are getting the workflow log
by passing top level work item id's as imort parameter.
The report output should have the following fields
Initiator, Initiator Personal No, Request Type( Leave, Travel etc.. )
Date of application of the request, Status ( Approved by RM, Rejected etc )
Name of the Approver, Approved / Rejected Date.
The logic should be work for all the above ESS workflows and should be generalized.
Can any one please let me know the procedure to get the required information from the workflow log.
It would be great if any one suggest on the same how to proceed further to get the information as mentioned above.
