Benefitts Self Service Configuration Issue

Hello once again,
I am having this delima where i have used the Self-Service Administrator role to remove links from the Benefits Application. We can package the changes into a transport and import them into other landscapes. The issue occurs when i make a change to ESS Benefits application in WebDynpro Java and transport the changes via NWDI. When the changes are assembled and transported into the next system it overwrites my transport packages.
I know there is a cfg component in NWDI for benefits but i am currently unaware on how to update it. If anyone has any documentation on this or knows how to solve my issue it would be greatly appreciated.

where you are using this Benefits information under Life and Work events or some wear else in ess , if you are using in LWE you can remove it thru GP role .

We are Implementing HR Renewal 2.0 FP1 and the Self-Services Landing Page to be launched from within SAP Portal.
I have imported the PFCG role ZSAP_EMPLOYEE_ESS_XX_UI5_1 into portal and assigned to the user. The End User read permission is provided.
We see the landing page with all lanes coming up fine when launched from portal. But subsequently when we click on the SAPUI5 delivered applications in the MY INFO Lane like Employee Profile, Salary Statement, Leave Application etc, they open from inside the portal in a new window via the below Standard Launchpad Start URL application

Student self services - configuration guide or cook book

Dear All,
We have recently upgraded to EHP4 and enabled student self services.
But when I changed my program of study no workflow is triggered in the backend.
Do I need to do any configuration for this ?

Adobe Document Service Configuration Issue

Actually we have installed SAP ADS 7.4 ON SAP NetWeaver 7.4 JAVA STACK HUB
SYSTEM.
I did the configuration as per the SAP Standard documents. The ABAP
connection in ADS is working but ADS configuration in an ABAP environment
is not working.
While I am executing the form in SFP, I am getting the error message:
ADS:com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.Processin(200101).
While I am testing the ADS configuration in ABAP environment, I am getting the error:
ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException:com.adobe.Processin(200101).
While I am checking the Destination service in SAP ECC I am getting theerror: SYSTEM ERROR:
ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException:com.adobe.ProcessingException: XMLFM Exception during render:com.adobe.ProcessingException(200,101).
For the above issues I raised ticket to SAP. They suggested below steps, So I did the first three steps but I don't know how to do the 4th and 5th steps means how to copy the and extract the files.
1. Shutdown J2EE engine
2. Rename the folder
/usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/j2ee/os_libs/adssap
to antoher folder name (ex. adssap.old)
3. Start J2EE engine
4. Make sure XMLFormService_native.zip is copied under os_libs fold
during starting up engine (synchronize phase)
5. Also make sure XMLform.exe is extracted under
/usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/j2ee/os_libs/adssap/XMLFormService/bin
Please help me from where to copy the zip file mentioned in 4th step and find the attachments for error screen shots for reference.

Actually we installed ADS in NW 7.4 and while I am doing configuration I am getting the above issues.
While I am executing the any form means (standard also) I am getting the same issues.So I think it is may be configuration issue.
I raised ticket to SAP with the below error they suggested above five steps.
ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.Processin(200101).

Hyperion Shared Services Configuration Issue

Hello,
We are using Hyperion Strategic Finance (Version: 9.3.1.2.0.775) on a server XYZ. The shared services database (Oracle) has moved from an old server to a new server.
When trying to configure the new database for the Shared Services we are not able to edit the Database Details.
Can someone please help us with this issue?

Have you tried editing <HYPERION_HOME>\common\config\product\hub\9.3.1.0\hub_1_config.xml as this contains the configuration info.

Workflow service configuration issue

I am having issues setting up workflow service in my SharePoint 2013 environment. My setup is single server farm.
I see the workflow service under the "Manage Service Applications" option in the central administration (as show below), but I do not see this service available under the service for the server under "Manage Services on Server".When
I open Designer and try to create workflow, I do not see the drop down for SharePoint 2013 workflow.
I am also attaching the IIS screenshot.

SQL Server Reporting Services configuration issue

When I click on “System Settings” in the SSRS service application management I get an 503 (server Unavailable) error even though the service is running.
The farm consists of 4 servers (2 Web and 2 Application server). SSRS is running on one of the application server. SharePoint 2013, SSRS 2012.
SP2013 WFEs - Installed only RS Add In
SP2013 APP1 - Installed RS in SP Mode, SQL 2012 SP1 and Add-in.
In services on server, The SSRS service is started on the application server.
I can activate/deactivate Site collection feature for Report Server Integration Feature.
Add Reports Content Type in document library.
Has anyone see anything like this or have an explanation of what is happening?

Employee Self Service - configuration of home page

I have configured the Area Group page through the IMG, however the changes are not appearing on the ESS Home Page. How do we get the config changes to appear in the home page? Help!!!

Have you added this Area Group page name in the iview ?
Say for example, you have created a Area(Personal Information) and have assigned this area to the area group page(SAPDEFAULTESS_ERP2005)
Now, go to the iview(personal information) and look for the property "Application parameters'. You need to add your area group page name here.
Ex: sap.xss.menuarea=EMPLOYEE_PERSINFO_ERP2005&sap.xss.menuargrp=SAPDEFAULTESS_ERP2005&sap.xss.menuhdr=SAPDEFAULT

Log out issue in Employee Self service

We are encountering an error when people click on log out in self service page
Once all the steps are done such as adding a dependent and making elections, a confirmation page comes up with the summary of benefits info. At this point, there is a "Log Out" button alongside with "Back", "Printable Page" and "Return to Overview". All the other buttons work fine but if we click on Log out, instead of logging out, it displays a "page cannot be displayed error". Strange thing is if we click on 'Back' it goes to Benefits summary page and allows us to navigate as if the session is active.
Can anyone advise?
Verified the Oracle system requirements and everything passed. Tested this on Windows 7 with IE8 configuration and as well as with XP but still the same error.
P.S. This Log out is different from the button which appears on top right hand corner of the page which appears alongside Help button.

I guess if you have the latest notes (Personas client + kernel notes), then session should be killed once you either navigate away from personas or close your browser.
I just tested on IE and chrome, seems working for me. If issue continues, please raise a message so that dev team can look into it.
And of course, you can change the timeout parameters based on the message what Steve has posted above. But in your case, session should be killed immediately.

How to configure sync rules involving a CSV file and portal self service

I need to configure some FIM sync rules for the following scenario:
User account details are entered from a HR CSV file and exported to AD Users have the ability to modify their own AD attributes in the
FIM portal (there is not a requirement for them to view their HR CSV data in the portal). The FIM portal modifications will be exported to AD as expected.
My setup is as follows:
CSV file - name, last name, employee ID, address.
CSV MA - has direct attribute flows configured in the MA between the data source and MV Portal self service attributes –
users can edit mobile, display name and photo
I've also set the CSV MA as precedent for the attributes
FIM MA – attribute flows defined for MV to Data Source as usual (i.e. firstname to firstname, accountname to accountname, etc).
AD MA – no attribute flows defined as inbound and outbound sync rules have been configured in the portal using the Set\MPR\Triple.
I’m thinking of using the following run profiles:
CSV MA – full import and delta sync (imports HR data)
FIM MA – export and delta import (imports portal changes)
FIM MA – delta sync (syncs any portal changes)
AD MA – export and delta import
If my understanding is correct this should sync HR data from CSV to AD, as well as user attribute self service updates from the portal to AD.
If I wanted to just do a HR CSV sync could I get away with just steps 1 & 4 ? (presumably not as my rules are in the FIM portal?)
If I wanted to do just a portal sync, could I get away steps 2-4?
Any advice on how to improve my setup is much appreciated - cheers

The truth is that your design should be done in the way that it doesn't matter which profiles in which order you will execute. At the end, if you will run all import, synch and export profiles on each data source you should get same result. This is beauty
of synch engine here.
Your steps from 1-4 will synch data to your data sources and at the end will give you expected result. But not because of the order you are executing them but because of correct attribute flows. If flows from CSV file and from FIM portal might be done for
the same attributes you need to think also about attribute precedence.

MBAM 2.5 Issue with Self Service Portal

I have recently set up an MBAM 2.5 server to test with for a potential roll out of encryption to all laptops in our enterprise. All seems well. I have tested the recovery using the Drive Recovery option on the HelpDesk page and that works just
fine. I enter in the first 8 characters of the recovery key from the laptop and get back the 48 digit code. I enter in the 48 digit code and I am in.
The problem arises when I attempt using the SelfService Recovery option. Once I put in the 8 characters in the Recovery Key ID box, select a reason and hit the Get Key button, it gives me a response of Invalid Key ID.
These are all laptops that I have already logged into with my account and it is the same account that I am using in the Self Service Portal.
I had another user attempt it from his laptop with the same results.
Any help would be appreciated.

- I've verified that the user attempting to get the Recovery Key ID from SSP has logged into the machine before (and the database confirms that).
- Had another user from the device try the SSP - same issue.
- Verified that the Recovery Key ID can be used and get a Recovery Key from the HelpDesk portal - works.
- Pulled logs from the client and the server - no errors related to issuing recovery keys.
- The Recovery Audit Report shows that the two users (myself and the actual owner of the laptop) show "Failed" on the attempt, but the HelpDesk recoveries work (depicted).
Do the user's have to be in a specific group or anything to be able to get recovery keys from SSP?
What's even more weird is that my company is using MDOP MBAM as well and this is not a problem - Self Service works like a charm. This feels like there's some kind of permissions issue - especially since I was able to verify with a custom query that my user
account was assigned to this machine and that I should be allowed to do this.

Web Self Service 2.1.0 configuration in CC&B

Dear all,
I'm trying to configure Web Self Service 2.1 for CC&B 2.1.0 and I have followed the steps provided in the installation document. I got the login page.
When I try to register an user I get the following error:
"Unable to load request schema. java.io.FileNotFoundException: /u01/spl/PRODTEST/SSvcPersonSearchByID.xsd (No such file or directory)"
The above xsd file is available in the directory /u01/spl/PRODTEST/splapp/xai/schema.
Is there any configuration which need to be updated to pick the correct path for the schema files?

Is the SelfService application installed under +/u01/spl/PRODTEST+ ? If yes, can you try installing it under $SPLEBASE/splapp folder , i.e. +/u01/spl/PRODTEST/splapp+
Default 'Schema Directory' location is configured under XAI Options, default value is 'file:///@SPLEBASE@/splapp/xai/schemas/', which in your case would be +/u01/spl/PRODTEST/splapp/xai/schemas/+

OTL Time Card issue in Self Service

I am working in OTL. I m new to this module. Currently i am facing the below issue.
In OTL, there is a validation of project and task when user enters time card.
Whenever user enters time cards against the hour type which is not of PTO (e.g. regular) etc, project number
and project task should be mandatory.
It is working fine in OTL Time Keeper, but not working in Self Service Time Card.
I am analyzing the issue but not getting the exact solution for the same.

MBAM console not accessible after new installation and self service re-direct to give foreign key issue

i am novice to MBAM and i have gone thru the virtual lab and material and i am in process of implementing it for my Organization. i am having 2 issues :-
1) After installation, i am confused how to access the console or does there is no Admin console and it is just servername:portnumber\helpdesk only.
2) If i enter just servername:portnumber\ then it get redirected to selfservice portal which is not an issue. Issue is after accepting agreement and clicking continue i am getting below error :-

If that is the only link or admin console as well then if anyone can confirm what rights difference a user get when he is member of MBAM helpdesk, MBAM Advanced Helpdesk and MBAM Administrator group.
Also if i can get any help with the self service portal redirection then that will be really helpful. i was also checking if this could be because of any kind of certificate issue as server name was renamed after SQL and IIS installation.
