Best adaptor for an iPod 5th Generation

Just a quick question as to what you guys would reccomend for me to use.
I have just bought an iPod dock and an iPod 5th Generation ..not realising that the port for the speaker dock is too big to fit in the small 5th generation port.
What adaptor would i need to buy in order to fit my iPod into the speakers. I was going to buy the one for sale on here but a lot of reviews say that it isn't good?
What would you all suggest i do?
Thank you, kind regards,
Charlotte.

This adopter let you place the ipad where you want it

This one requires that you jury rig a support for the iPod since the adopter will not support the iPod

  • How do I adjust the back light time for my iPod 5th generation?

I Set my iPods back light timer (not sure what it's called exactly) to one minute. And after realizing that some things get annoying to have to tap the screen constantly to keep it from locking itself I wanted to change it back to "Never" but I forgot where that setting is. If anyone knows where it is, which I'm sure many do, please tell me where to find it. Thanks.

Hey Turnerfran, go into Settings>General and scroll down to Auto-Lock tap on it you can choose from 1 minute to 5 minutes or turn it off. If you choose off the back light will stay on until you put your iPod to sleep or turn it off or after the battery drains. Good luck. Cheers.

  • "Phase" game not copying to ipod 5th generation

I just bought the game phase for my ipod 5th generation and itunes won't let me drag it onto my ipod. When I try, a circle with a slash shows. I'm sure my ipod is the right type, too. Anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?

I bought an apple iPod 5th generation the other day and I cannot remember the unlock passcode. I have done the restore thing, but because I never set it up or synced it with iTunes, it does not recognize my device. It is disabled for one hour. There's only a few things that could be my passcode, but because it disables for an hour, it is time consuming trying to figure it out. What do I do? I do not care about having to erase everything since it's new and there's nothing on it, but it was never synced with iTunes.

    Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • Whenever I go to iTunes with my iPod 5th generation 32 gb iPod Touch, running iOS 8.0.2, It tells me that the "Other" category is using up 14.59 gb of data. I have no clue why it says this and I have searched the internet for fixes and none worked.

I have no clue why it says this and I have searched the internet for fixes and none worked. I have tried on a windows and a mac and noticed no change. I have tried restoring to a backup but that didn't help. I haven't had time to do a full restore but I will try if the problem persists.

An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB indicates corrupted files.

Next, usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

If the iPod was purchased from Apple with the last 14 days you can return for a full refund and then purchase the 32 GB one. Otherwise,
Apple will only give you a 10% recycling discount if you turn in an old iPod when you purchase a new one. Better off selling it yourself.

  • Whenever i charge my ipod 5th generation i have to move the charger around for about 5 minutes,it doesnt want to charge and switches on and off?

whenever i charge my ipod 5th generation,i find myself moving the charger around for about 5minutes,the first few months the charger has worked fine now it is playing up,turning on and off charge?

I would make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. The warranty covers manufacturer's defects. Unfortuantely, if you inadvertantly cause some damage in your wiggling, it could be determined that you broke the port - regardless if it was malfunctioning before or not. Have them look at it and see what they say.
