Please let me know the best add-on for my sap b1 for creating the visual reports. As im new to this tool, i wonder can i get any third party add-on or crystal,dashboard add-on cracked versions for free.

    How do I add button for exporting report into specified folder?

    What version of Crystal Reports are you using?  Any service packs or hot fixes installed?
    Can you open other xls files with 2007?  
    Have you ever exported to excel before?
    I export to -excel (97-2003) data only- and open the files with Excel 2007 with no problems. Excel 2007 complains about the old format (xls) and wants to convert it to the new excel format. I alsways ignor it.
    Maybe the 'garbage' you are seeing is because the layout of your crystal report is not working for the export. Is all the data there but you have extra cells and/or lines, or the data is pushed to the left? I find that I must have the fields packed tightly with no space between them and no space above or below the fields, or I get extra cells between and lines above or below them.
    Most of my exports are detail lines with a single line header and columns are set to match the detail line. When exporting multiple lines where the fields do not line up exactly with the ones above them, I may use one or more empty text fields that matches the size of the fields above them to fill the empty space. Sort of like:
    line 1:{field1.}{field2...}{field 3}
    line 2:(text...}{text.....}{field 4)
    And you may need to turn off 'can grow' on all fields as they may cause miss-alignment. All the data will be there when you export it, even what you can not see in Crystal. You will just need to format the cells in Excel to see it.

    I am not sure that this is the correct forum for my question... it’s not obvious where to post.
    I was looking for solutions for keeping track of calendar entries in Outlook 2010 and came across a 
    sample add-in contributed here:

    The add-in has to be built using Visual Studio 2010 – which I do not have – and I was not able to load the project in Visual Studio 2010 Express.
     The author of the code posted an update here
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/officedevdocs/archive/2011/07/20/starting-the-time-reporting-outlook-add-in.aspx where he provided an installation package for the add-in for users who do not have Visual Studio 2010.
    The installation instructions warn to expect a dialog box displaying “Publisher cannot be verified. Are you sure you want to install this customization” and that installation can be made to proceed. I am getting the following message, instead:
    Customized functionality in this application will not work because the certificate used to sign the deployment manifest for ScheduleTracking_AddIn or its location is not trusted.
    Contact your administrator for further assistance.
    Is there a system setting under Windows 7 to work around this? I can’t continue with installation.

    The solution proposed in Common Error 3 solved my problem.
    I have one point for others who come across this same security issue. The full error message that I obtained was:

    The Zone of the assembly that failed was:
    MyComputer
    The last line is misleading as it suggests that Inclusion List Security setting needs to be configured for the
    MyComputer zone, since installation was from a local drive. However, doing so did not resolve the issue. I had to enable the
    Internet zone to install the add-in.

  • Best Data source for Crystal Reports

    Hi Experts,
    We have decided to use Crystal Reports 2008, for our project & advised to use BO Universe(based on Dimensional model) as data source against using the Dimensional tables directly(in Oracle).
    Since the Universes are based on Dimensional model, typically I have to link two or three Universes for each report. I am concerned about the query performance time involved for the Universe approach vs. using the Dimensional tables directly.
    I understand Universe as Meta-Data layer that hides all the database complexity from the end-user, and is a favorable option for Adhoc reports created by end users.
    But for developers who are going to create 400 odd reports, I don't see any advantage that Universe brings, compared to linking the tables at Crystal Designer.
    And we do not want to write customized Stored Procedures for every report, so our options are Universe/ Oracle tables.
    Appreciate any help from you on helping my process.

    IMHO, the Universe is fantastic for sophisticated end users (who have a general knowledge of logic or a logical mind) to build ad hoc reports.  (Less sophisticated users should not be given the ability to design reports.)  It should not be used for production reports that will run frequently, as performance can deteriorate quickly.  (This is particularly true if you design the universe with the intent to build multiple reports off of one logical view.  You tend to do a lot of extra work to gather data that is not needed for the task at hand.  Our universe was designed this way - before I got here...  I tend not to use it on new reports...)
    There is no question in my mind that direct SQL will be the most performant way to develop the reports.  In fact, I'd even suggest using SQL Commands as the basis for the reports so the database does all of the heavy lifting of table linking, record selection, sorting, and summarizing.  That's what databases are built to do!  (I know Crystal is supposed to push what it can to the database, but its definition of what the database can do is very generalized, so a lot ends up on the Crystal server.)  This is particularly true if the Crystal server is not the same box as the database server; you don't want to pump huge volumes of data over the network!  The downside to this is that some logic tends to get duplicated.  This can be minimized by creating additional data (fields, tables, or aggregate tables) in the database, which are populated by one program (where the logic resides) and used by all of the reports.  (For example, "definitions" based on data values should be table driven.)

  • How do you add additional pages in Pages 09 visual report

    I'm trying to create a report in Pages 09 using the Visual Report template.  I have over 150 photos to include in the report - 4 to a page.  I have two questions. The first one is how do I add pages beyond the 2 on the template.  Secondly, is there a way to group all 150 pictures and have them inserted into the document all at once or do I have to drag each one over individually?

    If you want more photo pages, select the appropriate template master from the Sections icon on the Toolbar.
    You can drag multiple images onto your .pages template but they will come in in a clump.
    The whole point of the template is the neat formatted style of the image and you get that by dragging photos individually onto the image placeholders.
    Are you using:
    Menu > View > Show Media Browser
    to drag in your photos? Or are you going straight from the Desktop? Either method works.
    In the Desktop you can arrange your images in Icon view and make them large enough to identify and rearrange them into the order you want to bring them in. Line up your .pages template with the open icon view window next to it then just drag over the images into the template with a simple click > slide > drop.

    Already installed the add on: windows server 2008 64 bit / SAP Business One 8.8 PL 12.
    Crystal Runtime is installed too.
    After activating the add on, we tried to do the 'account setup'.

    hyperion Reporting (Financial Reporting)uses Report scripts to generate its data. The optimal report has dense dimensions as the columns and inner most row of data from the dense dimensions. if you have a common format of how the reports pull data having the outline ordered from the left most report row member to the right most member
    So if you had the sparse dimensions of product market and customer and your report looks like customer, product market switching the order of the dimensions to match that could help report preformance (assuming you are drilling into each of these dimensions. I've also heard having your most commonly accessed sparse dimension last is better. And of course if you are using attribute dimensions in your report having the base dimension associated with the attribute dimensions last is recommended for better report retrieval (I don't know why)

  • Crystal Report  not listed Add New Item for Visual Studio 2010

    I just finished installing cryestal report for visual studio 2010.
    During the installation a visual studio error dialog popped up "Operation cannot be completed. Access Denied", the crystal report installation continued and was informed that the installation was successful.
    But on opening my visual studio project to add new item,  crystal report item is not listed there.
    Is there anything that needs to be done to get it listed in the Add New Item dialog for visual studio?

    I wonder what file you ran to install CRVS2010? Was it the MSI as opposed to the actual install file?

    I have installed the Crystal Report Design for Sap Business One on my customer server.
    But when I open the Crystal Report I can't see the Add-Ins menu to put the rpt directly on my Sap Business One.
    I have installed it on many customer, but only with this I have this type of problem.
    There is some restriction on Sap Version/Patches or Authorization Users or some check that I have to set on Sap or on Crystal Report?

    i have the same issue on crystal report add-ins. Have you able to solve this without upgrading our sap business one to the latest version or patch level? Please see details below.
    OS: MS Windows 7 SP1
    SAP Business One 8.82 pl7
    Crystal report 2011
    Crystal report integration package installed under B1_SHare/Client
    But still the problem persist on the workstation.

    When I am installing the SAP SAP J2EE add-on for SAP NW XI installation I am getting the follwing error:
    CJS-00084 SQL statement or script failed. DIAGNOSIS: Error message: Executable /oracle/XID/920_64/bin/sqlplus returns 127.. SOLUTION: See ora_sql_results.log and the Oracle documentation for details
    Could some one help me to resolve this error and install the SAP J2EE add-on?

    Ramya,
    It will depend on which Addon's you are referring.  Certain Addon only apply to certain localizations while others are common to both A and B.
    Example: Outlook integration would work for both A and B, while the Fixed Asset add-on might not be applicable to all localization within A or B.  It all depends.

    Thanks, but my question was not how can I workaround, cause I was able to read that note. (Unfortunatly the workaround solves the problem for the query designer only and the error still persists when executing the query)
    However, can some one please tell me, when the Support Package 7.00 will be released?
