Best Adobe Presenter 9 resources?
I'm having trouble finding good Presenter resources. I've been playing with it a bit and looking on YouTube, but I want to learn how to make tests that collect results, etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

What Adobe Presenter 8 Licence option is best?
Our association would like to hire freelance content experts to develop short narrated ppt presentations (hopefully in adobe presenter) that we could then publish to the web. However, not all our authors will necessarily have this software. Is there some sort of roving license or subscription we can buy that will temporarily provide the author with access to the right version of the software, for the short time period they are under contract to us? (Sorry if this is not the right forum for this question.)
Since Presenter is installed software, you could uninstall and reinstall the application on the appropriate individuals computer, as needed. The licenses shouldn't be tied to a specific individual.
However, in my experience that can be a pain to teach someone a new application on a regular basis, so I have found it easier to leave one (or a few) individuals with the Presenter application who will be responsible for compiling the audio with the presentation, and publishing out to meet your needs. Then the individual who is recording the audio can do so in PPT, or in another application (Audacity from SourceForge is free). Then the person using Presenter would just import the audio and apply it appropriately to the presentation. This may reduce employee hour over head, as it may be faster to use this workflow than to teach and support a new individual using presenter every few weeks/months. -
I need to show dirty water, the treatment, and the clean water after treatment. It is necessary to see how the water flows in the tubes.
Which is the best Adobe program fr this job?After Effects, but be ready for a steep learning curve. Third party plug-ins may be required if you want realistic flow. Schematic diagrams are fairly easy to create with After Effects. I do it all the time.

I have to install only Adobe presenter from this whole application. I created package using AAMEE3.1
I created package using AAMEE 3.1, using source of Adobe E-learning Suite 6.1 .
During Package creation i selcted only Adobe Presenter 8. Package is serialized and also Adobe ID is there to login. Package created sucessfully. But when i run MSI it rollbacks during Installation.

Adobe Presenter on MacBook Pro?
Is it possible to run Adobe Presenter (current version) on an Apple MacBook Pro either directly or with one of the programs (Parallels etc) that allow Windows programs to run a MAC?
If it is possible hopw has your actual experience been? My work is pretty simple, just PowerPoints with audio-no video.
Thanks..DavePresenter 6 works with my Macbook Pro using Parallels and Windows XP Pro OS. I did a narrated Powerpoint. The results are very good. My audio quality wasn't the best but I think it was the Logitech headset I was using.

How to link to a youtube or vimeo video in Adobe Presenter
I am new to using Presenter, and am having trouble inserting videos in Adobe Presenter (the videos are often over 1 hour in duration) and am wondering if it's possible to instead insert/embed the link to the video, which is hosted on either YouTube or Vimeo. Is there a simple way to do this?

Unfortunately, it appears that that the method I originally posted (above) is now broken in Presenter 8 and 9. The YouTube video still plays fine, but otherwise the entire Presenter interface breaks as soon as the video is played (all clickable items stop responding).
That being said, you don't really need to be a Flash developer to create an SWF handler for a YouTube video. If you have access to the Flash development application, then all you need to do is
Open Flash (from your CS6 bundle)
Paste the above ActionScript into the "Actions Frame"
Modify the script according to the instructions above to make the script call the desired YouTube video
Click File->Publish to output a SWF file.
That's it. Google's YouTube API (and its AS3 interface) simplifies the matter, doing all the heavy lifting for us. The end result will be a SWF file that uses the YouTube API to call, load, and play a YouTube video. Anywhere you can embed that SWF file, you can play a YouTube video.
Unless, of course, Adobe does something to break it.
Oh BTW - as for your last question. I do believe that the newest release of Adobe Captivate allows for HTML embedding, including <iframes>. This would effectively eliminate the problem altogether, as you could simply embed YouTube videos using the <iframe> embed code that YouTube generates for you.
But for now, the best way to get a YouTube into Adobe Presenter is via hyperlink (very disappointing). Instead of a plain text hyperlink, I'd suggest a screenshot of the video and hyperlinking the image instead - or at least creating a "video button" in the PPT (better interface communication).

In previous version of Presenter 8 it was inside wpconfig file (text ,,uiname..."). But this line of uiname text file I cannot to find inside instalation Presenter 9.

YarikI Presenter 8 I just modified the language.xml file located at C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Local\Adobe\Adobe Presenter\Themes (Windows 7/8 file path). Then this text can be edited in the Theme Editor through the Modify Text Labels button. Add the following to the file:

I did it after the quiz pod and message box text list, but you should be able to put it anywhere. Then when you go into the Modify Text Labels tool, it should show there and you can modify it as you see fit. -

Adobe Presenter vs. Articulate Presenter
Hello!
I previously used Articulate Presenter to develop content. However, due to some major software bugs I was having with Articulate, I switched to using Adobe Captive (and am very happy). Now I just came across Adobe Presenter and it seems exactly the same as Articulate Presenter. Can anyone tell me what are the differences between Adobe Presenter and Articulate Presenter? Does Adobe Presenter produce smaller files? I like to keep my files (which have graphics, animation, and narration) under 5 MG.

I'm having problems with quizzes in Adobe Presenter 10, upon publishing, the text just disappears and the buttons look weird, also the text on submit buttons doesn't show?
I created a dummy test project with one slide and two quiz questions. I uploaded to a Connect 9 server for AICC testing.

Adobe Presenter 10 crashes when clicking record
I am using windows 8.1 and have tried the 32 and 64 bit versions of Office 365 and Presenter 10. Since presenter detects the version of Office you have its always using the right one but i still get crash.
Every time i load it and hit record i get the error message.
"Adobe Presenter has encountered an unexpected problem while working with this presentation blah blah blah" This happens with everything i try to try to record, even new presentations.
I have also completely reinstalled my entire OS and all of the drivers to ensure its not some i loaded. I have removed my webcam software completely to ensure its not my video camera as well.
Ive spent hours on the phone with tech support and quite honestly they are terrible. They have me go through the stupidest exercises to find the problem every time i call and its still not working.
The last guy i talked to suggested i use another computer which is absurd to even suggest because that would mean i have to buy another copy of Office since its only good for 1 computer and 1 Tablet, let along the fact that i need to record on my best machine now some laptop.

Presenter 10 doesnt work with Multi Monitor Setups (at least some of them)
Im not sure if anyone else has multi monitors and uses Presenter successfully but that was why mine crashes.
This amazes me quite honestly...Powerpoint by nature is designed to support 2 screens...1 for the presentation and 1 for the controls...for Presenter 10 to not support such a basic thing is absurd.
Come on Adobe you have been through 10 versions of Presenter and you cant get this right?

Migrate Articulate Presenter 13 Content to Adobe Presenter 10
We need to migrate our current library of ~150 modules (approx. 10 mins each) authored in Articulate Presenter 13 over to Adobe Presenter 10 and I'm not sure the best way to go about synching the animations and narrations. The animations are all "OnClick" in PPT, and are synchronized in Articulate Presenter with the Sync Audio feature, but the audio files are not available as I believe they are within the proprietary .ppta file.
Here's what I've tried...
Publish Articulate Presenter 13 for web
Rename published mp3 files to correspond with slide numbers
Open the PPTX file in Adobe Presenter
Import renamed mp3 files that correspond with the slide numbers
Re-sync animations in Adobe Presenter
This is obviously quite tedious and time intensive, and I need to see about other means of synching animations.
Questions
Is there another way to synch the animations?I could take the On Click in the Animations pane in PPT and change them to After PreviousNeed to know the timing in secondsNot easily discerned in the audio editor in Articulate Presenter
What happens to the audio after I've imported an MP3, which is already compressed and then publish in Adobe Presenter?Is it further compressed or does it maintain the same audio quality as when I brought it in?
Thanks in advance!Is there another way to synch the animations? No. You will need to resynch the audio through either the Sync Audio tool or the Edit Audio tool.
Could you set the animations to After Previous? Yes. I believe you can set a delay timing in PPT and have Presenter take it (not gospel truth, but I recall that working some time and a few versions ago). however you will have to know how long the audio needs to run before cuing the next animation. I would think that just doing the animations on click and synching them through the normal means would be easier and faster. My 2c.
What happens to the audio when published? If the audio is at a higher quality than the selected publish quality for the audio, then it will be reencoded to the more compressed audio settings. If it is at or below the publishing settings for the audio, it just creates copies of the audio files.

Adobe Presenter - AICC No Completion in Saba
I am currently testing integration with Adobe Presenter courses using the Saba LMS and AICC import. The training content is on a different domain than LMS so I have used the frameset and crossdomain.xml workarounds suggested in another Adobe forum post. Everything is fairly successful, however, even when I have completed the content according to the completion rules set in Adobe and the content module (lesson) shows as complete on My Enrollments, the course is still showing as Not Evaluated in general and is not moved from My Enrollments to My Transcripts. I tried with Captivate and it is updating the content module (lesson) complete in Saba and also marking the course as complete and moving to My Transcripts.

Out of curiousity, why are you using AICC? Because the content is on a different domain?
To the point, it's great to have a logging or debugging tool for these sort of things to view the communication between the LMS and the lesson. Perhaps the lesson is sending the 'completed' status but also sending some other value that the LMS is using to change the status back to incomplete?
My first suggestion would be to try the lesson in a tool like TestTrack...but I don't think that handles AICC. Does the Saba LMS have any kind of debugger or logging tool you can use? You really need to see if the lesson is sending the status back to the LMS as you suspect it should. If it IS, then the issue lies with the LMS and how it's interpreting that result. If it's NOT, then you can then perhaps figure out what to adjust in the lesson.
In general, just play with the settings. If it's set to Complete/Incomplete and has a Mastery Score, try NOT setting the Mastery Score... And other such combinations.
I hope the folks in the Connect/Presenter forum can provide more insight.
