Best alernative headphones with mic rem for iphone 4s

Which are the best alernative headphones with mic and remote compatible with SIRI for iphone 4s?

Im using the a-Jays Four. They seem great, mic is supposedly same as the one on Apple's own headset. The position is the same (lower jaw) and all button commands for volume, skip, fwd, siri etc are the same as with the official Apple headet.
Sound is good enough for my ears and it seems to get the best reviews for any headet under £90.
Yes there may be some that sound better and you will hear many say that especially from bass heads but none that have the quality of sound and a mic and controls that work as simply as Apple's headset.

I lost one of the earbuds for my Apple In-ear Headphones with Mic.
In case you don't see why this could be a big deal, let me remind you that these little earphones will run you $79 new. Naturally, I'm sure there's got to be a reasonable solution that another owner of these headphones may know of or can share with me.
Should I bring it to the Apple store or will they just laugh at me?
Basically, all I'm missing is the jelly-like in-ear bud on one side (which is easily replaceable; I just need to know where I can order GENUINE extras from).
Click here to see the Apple In-ear Headphones I'm referring to.

I've tried several and the best by far is the Sennheiser MM50 iP ($99 at the apple store). The sound is incredible, particularly the low frequecy response (bass). These are even better than the Bose Triports I used for my iPod, plus they have the mic and button for recieving calls and ipod playback. I also have the airdrives, which don't even compare for sound quality and range because they aren't in-ear (they sit directly in front of the ear canal). I still use the airdrives in situations where I want music distraction but still want to hear what's happening around me, but for in-ear sound quality and iPhone functionality I don't think you're going to find better for the Sennheisers for under $100. In fact I don't think their is anything under $250 right now that would match it for performance, comfort and functionality.
Note: these are asymmetrical which means the cord for the right earbud goes behind your neck to the right ear. I found this strange at first but now I actually like it because it allows you to pull the earlplugs out and just let them rest over your neck/shoulders.

My Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic White For iPhone says: made in vietnam right in the cord. i want to know if they are OEM? here my email: [email protected], thanks.

Accidental damage is not covered under the warranty but if possible to reset the screen without causing additional damage, the Apple Store should do this without charging for it.

  • Bluetooth headphone with MIC

I'm considering to purchase a Bluetooth headphone with MIC for my iPad mini. If I connect, will the headphone MIC take over the iPad's builtin microphone?

    Shardsofmetal wrote:
However, it sounds like you're saying that the headphones will work but the microphone won't, right? Thanks
mainly true and most likely yeah! The sound will come through the headsets but the microphone will not be able to function at all.... The bluetooth on the iPod touch is very limited to what function it can perform, like Meg St. Clair mentioned is for stereo Headphone; wireless speakers and games. Things like headsets or anything(like microphones)that might be used as with Bluetooth is not supported. The only way you can get a microphone to work is if it's plugged in on the headphone Jack at the bottom of the iPod touch. Sorry that you had to hear that, you were probably hoping that you could use the Bluetooth with that microphone.....

  • What is the best voice to text paid app for iphone 5?

what is the best voice to text paid app for iphone 5?

I use Dragon Dictation, but it is free. The microphone also works for dictating text in the Messages app, notes, email. With that, you just tap on the microphone key by the space bar.
Is this what you are looking for? Why does it have to be a paid app?

  • Can I use Bluetooth headphones with a 1st generation iPhone?

Can I use Bluetooth headphones with a 1st generation iPhone? The headphones pair but the sound comes out of the phone and not the headphones. The phone has iOS 3.1 which is the last software the phone will support. Thanks.

    This will help you:
    Original iPhone
The original iPhone features Bluetooth capabilities only for making calls. Connecting to a PC or streaming audio other than phones calls through Bluetooth is not supported.
    IPhone 3G
With the iPhone 3G operating system, its Bluetooth capabilities are expanded to support wireless stereo headsets, file sharing with other Bluetooth devices, and use of the iPhone as a 3G modem. Also supported are new capabilities for combining the iPhone with Bluetooth accessories.
    IPhone 4.0
The 4.0 version of the iPhone's operating systems keeps the expanded Bluetooth functions introduced in version 3 and adds one new benefit: Bluetooth keyboard support, so iPhone owners can use wireless keyboards wherever they go.

  • Why do apple headphones with mic loose sound???

i've had numerous apple headphones with mic and they seem to loose sound from one earplug!
Anyone know why? At £26 pound each time, they're not cheap!

headsets have been shortlived since I had walkmen in the early 1980's sure expensive ones last a bit longer but they all die pretty early
best way imho is to buy a stereo bluetooth headset which support the bluetooth profiles called a2dp
    no wire no  metal fatigue

  • Loud background noise when using headphones with mic. iPhone 5

I usually use headphones with a microphone to make phone calls, and they used to work perfectly.  As soon as I got the iPhone5, I have had trouble.  The person I'm talking to can hear every tiny background noise louder than my voice.  In fact, they complain that it sounds like glass breaking or the ocean or loud rain.  Today, someone about 20 feet away pulled up the window blinds and my caller said it hurt her ears.
I've tried a couple different sets of headphones and have the same problem.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes I have the same problem. I have tried 3 different sets of headphones and have had my iPhone replaced. The problem persisits. I am a Version customer in central Wisconsin.
The headphones are unuseable while making a phone call in a atmosphere where there is any background noise.
I have been on the phone for hours with Apple. Problem persists.

  • Headphones With Mic.

    Hello,
I recently replaced my Apple Earphones and Mic from my iPhone 5 with some new AKG ones, also with a mic. When connected to my mac, the microphone does not work on my new earphones, the apple mic does work. My mac is a mid-2012 non retina MacBook Pro.
I have tested the new earphones on my iPhone, and there is nothing wrong with the mic there! Confused!
Usually I find great answers here so I'm hoping for great things

    Thanks for the reply,
The headphones only show up as an output in the sound pane, they dont show up as a Mic, only the built in Mic is visible.
When connecting apple headphones both the built in inputs change from built in to headphones

  • IMac mid 2010 w OSX 10.9.5: headphone with mic -- mic no longer working

I've been using the same headset plus mic with my iMac for a couple of years. Has worked fine until yesterday. Now the mic does not work. Headset / mic still work fine with my phone and other computers so nothing wrong with the headset. Checked system preferences -> sound -> input and the headset shows up but the blue bars don't move when I talk into the mic. I rebooted the machine and still have the same problem.
    Any ideas? Thanks.
    Jim

I tried resetting the SMC and PRAM. No luck unfortunately.
I've tried two headsets and neither are working (both worked fine two days ago). I've used both headsets on other devices and they are working fine there.
I can hear through the headset but cannot be heard when I talk.
    Thanks.

  • I needed a 2tb hard drive for my new iMac whats the best to work with time machine for around £100

Any suggestions about the best 2 tb hard drive to work with my imac, compatible with time machine for around £100

There is no such thing as "best" and "inexpensive", you either want one or the other but you cannot get both. IMHO I'd recommend OWC's Mercury Elite Pro (www.macsales.com) however because  you are on the other side of the pond you may want to consider a Lacie product. High quality, not cheap but good stuff for the most part.

  • Headphone with mic not working properly on Bootcamp Windows 7

Hey, guys. I have a Macbook Air mid-2012, installed Windows 7 (Bootcamp) and I wish a I could use my Sony Stereo Headset DR-EX12iP with mic for chatting while playing some games. But the microphone isn't working in Windows 7 and I don't know why. I already searched over the internet about an answer but found none. The build-in microphone of MBA is too much sensitive and bother my friends. Just for information, I use the same headset in Mac OS X and it works perfectly with facetime and skype.
I hope somebody can help me out. Thanks!

I found this after doing this post: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3369017?start=0&tstart=0
Apparently there is no good answer for the problem...

  • Online conference participants hear echo when cinema display is connected via mini-displayport, even though I am using headphones with mic.

When I use Google Hangout or GoToMeeting, other participants in the meeting hear an echo of their sound -- loud and obtrusive. When I mute, it goes away.
This only happens when I am using my Apple Cinema Display 27" (recent vintage) connected via the mini-displayport (natively, not an adapter).
On my end, i don't hear their echo, but I do hear waves of squelching -- basically it sounds like their end is trying to adjust their input down to account for what it thinks I saying, even though I'm not talking, it's just the echo making that happen.
Sometimes this doesn't occur -- it seems to crop up intermittently, but happens around 75% of the time at some point in a conversation.
I am using iPhone-compatible in-ear earphones with built-in mic; the earphones are the rubber seal type, so there's no sound escaping them that the system should even be able to hear.
I have my audio set up for "Headphones" as output device.
Input device is set up as "External Microphone" -- this part confuses me because even though I know my Cinema Display has a microphone, the OS seems not to list it as a separate input device. So I wonder if it's getting confused trying to use both the cinema display's mic *and* the earphone mic? (see dropdown image)
OS version 10.20.2; Macbook Air 13 inch, "early 2014" and Apple LED Cinema Display 27inch
Earphones are skull-candy brand iPhone compatible (with built-in mic), plugged into the macbook air's earphone jack. (without the display connected, this has always worked fine -- and with a prior non-apple display that had no mic/camera this was not a problem)
This is an ongoing issue in our office, in fact ... especially troublesome in client meetings.
I haven't tried other configurations, other than when using the Cinema Display's USB connector, the same thing happens.
It also happens even when I'm not using the "USB PnP Sound Device" you see listed in the dropdown here -- that's something I use for controlling music output to my desk speakers.
A general question: is there no way to control the cinema display's mic and/or camera more directly?
(EDITED TO ADD: Ok I see in the Cinema Display manual, there should be a listing for "Display Audio" in the input list, but my SysPref panel has none listed. See other screenshot. I wonder if this is the problem??)

Curious, is the 30-inch Cinema Display you have, one listed in this Support Article:
    •Apple Cinema Display (20-, 23-, and 30-inch DVI) - Technical Specifications
or is yours a later build series; which one do you have...? This says Mini unsupported.
The specifications vary across the line of Displays, as do the graphic support in Macs.
I'd suspect your version is a later 30-inch display, but it may be one of these. And a
newer 27-inch Display has the Thunderbolt cable.
    In any event...
    Good luck & happy computing!
