There's no 'best practice' as such, but there are a few that I think should be default:
Enabling CDR, On-Hook Pickup, CFwdAll Override... but really the settings are specific to the requirements of the deployment.

Best practice document for ACE30

Can someone point me to a best practice document for the ACE30. I am specifically looking at best practices as they relate to resouce allocation, logging, FT, and snmp. I am migrating from CSM so the VIP/Server configuration is basically set. I am looking for areas that pertain to the ACE as a whole.

I'm afraid there isn't a best practices document as such, however, I would suggest you to have a look at the ACE section in doc-wiki (http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Cisco_Application_Control_Engine_%28ACE%29_Troubleshooting_Guide).
This document can give you some useful insights on different topics, including (but not limited to) resource allocation.

Your question is not clear for me to provide an answer. Basically, the shared entities like item, SOB etc provides the integration of various models and Security, Validation Rules provide the security for the data.

I use the IRIS card scan which works but is a long shot worse than the Cardscan which i used to have on a pc back in 2000.... there is currently no really good solution for business card scanning on the mac that i have seen.

because of historic reason in history of SAP there might be the risk to misinterpret your question. This would be my first answer:
1.) check this document first: SAP EHS Management for Beginners
2.) check may be:SAP Product and REACH Compliance - SAP Library
Some "topics" are dealed with this SAP solution
3e.) years ago a product if TechniData was available called "Compliance for products". Regarding many of the functions therein: these are now mainly available in the above mentioned solution or in the new solution as shown here:

Take first a survey in the doucments and links given and then coe back with furthere questions etc.

Getting error while generating Business Blueprint Document for Project

Hello Experts,
I hv created a project in Solution manager 3.2 through solar_project_admin . Now iam in the phase of defining its Business Blueprint . I hv completed the steps, at the end when iam generating Business Blueprint document ,following error is being displayed:
Blueprint document cannot be created. Check the selection
Message no. SOLAR110
Diagnosis
A Business Blueprint document created for the selected selection options would contain no structure elements. It would be empty, so it is not created.
Procedure
Choose less restrictive selection options, especially the option
"Print Structure Elements: Complete Selection" in the "Options" tab.
I hv checked this error and the option displayed above in the error message but no such option is being displayed anywhere,can anyone plz help me out with how to resolve this problem?
Requested to revert at earliest as iam stuck with this since many days,My email id is [email protected] .

Thanks for ur reply.I hv now again tried to Generate Blueprint Document with unselecting option Only with Documents but in the structure selection when i tick on all the options given in tat structure then regenerate Business blueprint Document ,following error message is displayed:

Data files available in Best Practice document for BPC

Any idea how to retrieve data files avaialble under Miscellaneous folder on Best Preactice cd. These files are not available online and don't know how to retrieve the same. Any help kindly appreciated.

Invoice Matching - Best Business Practice

As far as I know matching invoices to PO or to a receipt is done in AP. A colleague of mine is stating that matching should always be done at the purchasing level and that she has never seen it done in Payables. Other than the user's guide, would anyone know of a white paper that addresses the matching business flow.
We are not usinf Oracle Purchasing, but rather a third party solution (ePlus), and for whatever reason, the matching is going to be done in that solution. Invoices will also be created in that system, and interfaced to AP in order to issue checks.
Your input would be appreciated.

It depends on the kind of External Software you are using and the purpose of the same.
You cannot Import PO to Payable to perform Matching in Payables unless PO is created in Oracle purchasing. Secondly performing a match between two system, Oracle Payables(Invoice) and PO in (ePlus) is very difficult. Also it depends on the type of item they are using in ePLUS. If it is service oriented Organization, then they would have created only service items which might have Performance Guarantee etc., which can be better reviewed and analysed by an Engineer who is incharge of the PO rather than Accountant performing the PO to Invoice Match
So it is better to identify and analyse the client Business and choose where to perform the PO to Invoice matching.
The choices are as follows
If it is inventory based matching then, Convince the client to use Oracle PO and Inventory Module and make the set up and import data from ePlus to these modules and create Invoice in AP and perform PO to Invoice Matching in Oracle.
If it is service oriented Item it is better to create Invoice in Eplus Itself and perform matching in Eplus and Push the Invoice and PO reference details to Oracle Payables to make payments

Best codec/practice/software for importing Screen Demo Video

Hello!
I have access to Snagit 8, Microsoft Media Encoder, and Flash
8. What I'd like to do is use these three programs to capture on
screen interaction with websites via Explorer, import it into Flash
8 and add text and interactivity.
Obviously, I'm trying to do what Captivate was designed to
do, but due to my position outside of a certain department, I am
not allowed to access Captivate (ah, corporate politics).
So, I can capture uncompressed video using Snagit 8 and then
import it into Flash, embedding it into the timeline. I embedding
the video compromises the quality a bit, but it's much easier to
get the timing of text and graphics to the video if it's embedded.
Is there a certain codec available to one of these two
programs that Flash would like more? Is there a certain codec that
Captivate uses to create such crisp video? Would anyone be willing
to share that with me? I would totally go out and get Captivate if
the boss would let me...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
