There are 2 separate issues here:
- The Apple 30 pin to USB cable was redesigned to remove the 2 button squeeze feature pricesley because of your issue with the buttons falling off and consumers being unable to disconnect the cords. The newly redesigned cable removes these 2 side buttons for a shorter 30 pin connector that will work just fine in Apple devices. If you are plugging it into your iPhone Power Adaptor (5W) it isn't strong enough to charge your iPad with it on (it will trickle charge if you have your iPad off). When will Apple offer more than just THEIR brand of cases for the 6 Plus?

I bought a Project Red leather case for my 6 Plus. I have also ordered a Tech 21 case, but the shipping from the UK was $15. I'd love to be able to order a couple of more Tech 21 cases, but I don't want to pay high shipping costs like that again.

Yes, I have. I want Tech 21 since it is my favorite brand. However, they are from the UK and it costs around $15 to ship to the U.S. Apple generally has some awesome Tech 21 cases and I'm hoping that they'll offer them soon for the 6 Plus. Any idea when Apple will offer more than just their brand on their online store? The closest Apple retail store is a couple of hours from me....

My current 3G has some bad scratches on it from the Griffin Hard Case that clips in 2 pieces to it.
There has to be a case out there that protects the chrome plus not scratching it when you put it on.
Whats everyone's opinion about a good case with Chrome Protection?

The absolute best case for the BB Playbook!!!

Ok, I've tried several cases for my Playbook---even a $160 Vaja, the Rolls Royce of cases. Absolutely beautiful Austrailian leather...however it had no cut outs for camera or headphones, therefore worthless. Then I found the Blurex case on Amazon.com. It's truly unbelievable. Real leather,
custom fit, 3 position stand, all cutouts, and it only cost $15!. Please trust me, this is an amazing case. In case u think this is just hype, check it out on Amazon. You'll find about 200 reviews, and almost all are 5 stars. I don't know how they sell a custom leather case for $15, but I bought 2! There is no other Playbook case that even comes close....not even the famous Vaja. Call me at 318.(personal info removed) if u need more info....Bill

I bought an iCase which seemed to be okay - clips to a belt, it is leather, and in concept is easy to work with.
BUT - obviously designed without the iPhone in hand - case is fairly expensive, but the volume cutout slot is done improperly, and the case is sewn skewed, like a person sewed it whilst on opium or similar.
Personally, i would wait for a while for a case until the mfgs actually make one around something they can see.

I read your reply and had a nice chuckle. The day after I posted this for discussion, I went to the Apple store in the mall looking for a cover.
Prior to getting there, I saw the new Otter box cover for the iPhone5 (slimmer than the previous models) and a new cover by Griffin (slim case with a clear back..I guess to put a photo) at a kiosk. I went into the Apple store and a rep informed me that they were all out.
Outside the Apple store there was a Ghost Armor kiosk. I talked to the rep there to get more comfortable with the idea of how this process works. I was more concerned about having my new device sprayed with a liquid. I decided to go with it...FULL COVERAGE. I am so happy I decided to do this. The phone look amazing and cleaning it is a breeze. Not sure if it will protect it in a fall but WOW the look beats everything I saw hands down.
I'm not a big fan of phone cases because I believe they devalue your device.

I origianlly got the fade to black gradient case (hard plastic snap-on case black at the top and gradually changes to red on the bottom and from verion) and I still have it. But after taking it on and off quite a bit I got the feeling that I'd end up breaking the snaps, so I picked up the black Verizon silicon case, and I love it. It absorbs a drop better, it stretches slightly when putting it on, and to me looks almost like it is part of the phone. It bulks up the phone less than the snap-on case I was using, it gives better grip in the hand but it doesn't going in and out of pockets. The snap-on case I believe went for $20-25, while the silicons go for $15. Hope that helps.
P.S. I use a holster (case logic from WalMart) which has felt on the inside and the silicon works fine in and out of that as well.

i think it is a personal preference and what you like. just try not to get cases that have too strong of a magnet on them as they can damage the phone in a long run.

It appears that the Targus case has a cutout that would allow you to charge the device with the cover closed. The HP case doesn't allow for that.
I wrote a review here on the HP case. I wouldn't recommend it. I should also note that the HP store personnel chose not to make my review public...seems there's some selective editing going on there which means I will never trust any reviews on that site.
You can search here for my whole review, but basically the HP case has a couple of problems.
1. It's very heavy for a case.
2. The holes don't line up particularly well with things like the camera (no matter how many times you adjust the tablet and tighten loosent the velcro closure.
3. The aforementioned charging issue.
4. You can't have any cables plugged into the device while in Stand mode (probably also an issue with the Targus).
