Best choice for a bluetooth car kit for the 4S?

I want to add a car kit to my 2004 MINI I have the Aux in jack for the audio HK ans XM radio system that came with the car but the 2004 Nokia bluetooth kit that was installed when the car was new only worked with a 2004 Nokia feature phone and after I replaced that phone with a motorola phone in06 I have had to use a Jabla ear piece for hands free in the car... and with the new 4S I would like to fit a proper working bluetooth car kit I understand there is something new about how bluetooth is implimented in the 4S that is causing some problems with car kits.
has a concesis as to what should be bought yet? if not if the smart thing to do to wait a few months?

Chris,
Please do not cross post across the newsgroups. We would very much
          appreciate it.
There is a response to this message posted on the performance newsgroup if
          you're interested.

  • What is the best Bluetooth car kit for Siri?

I have an iPhone 4S and I do a lot of calling for work from my car.  I need a really good Bluetooth car kit that plays well with Siri.
I bought the Motorola Roadster and it is very inconsistent.  Sometimes people can hear me very well and other times I am cutting out so badly no one can understand me.  When I am making business calls this is unacceptable.  I can always hear the person I am talking to very clearly on the Roadster.
Siri does not understand me through the roadster and it can take forever to finish a request.  Usually I just get the phone out and do it myself, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a hands free car kit.
Playing music would be a nice feature but the most important feature is call quality.
Thanks.  Any help you can offer will be very much appreciated.

  • Any Suggestions on a Bluetooth Car Kit for iPhone 3G

Any suggestions on a bluetooth car kit to go with my iPhone 3G. I could get a bluetooth earpiece, but I would really only need this in my car because of the new California law.

    Hi Mike,
What's your budget? For less than $2,000 U.S. you could get into an ARRI kit with a 650W and two 300W heads. This is what I would use. If you don't even have $1K for a Lowell kit, do an internet search for budget kits and home made setups. I saw some kits for as low as $99 to $399.

  • Car kit for 6500 from 6230i

I have the now old cark 126 great holds and charges the phone even has an arial. It seems what ever I do now with my new phone is a backward step. I am begining to think I should have kept my 6230i instead of changing to the 6500c.
I hope one of you can help with the following issues.
1 Which hands free kit should I use?
2 Is there a cradle available?
3 What about charging the phone ?
    4 arial ?

The only option you have is to change your car kit, Nokia only do bluetooth car kits for 6500 classic. Look at Nokia ck-15w or ck-7w, your phone will work with other brands of bluetooth kits like Parrot or THB Bury.

  • Connecting two mobile to the one bluetooth car kit...

Is it possible to connect two mobile phones to the same bluetooth car kit at the same time?

I dont think its possible, i may be wrong, but imagine if both phones were connected to the car kit and they both got a phone call, there is no way it would work as it would not know what phone to connect.
So i dont think its possible.
My posts are my opinion and in no way the direct views of Nokia.

  • Best car kit for a Nokia 6111.

    Hi all,
Just got my 6111, and I want to get a car kit for it. I had an 8310 and used the CARK-132(?), which worked very well.
I was thinking of getting the CK-7W. As it is similar sort of style, it should save me a bit of effort with re-wiring the speaker/mic.
My main question is: with this car kit, will the Pop-port connection charge the phone?
Any other car kits particularly recomended? - I don't need anything fancy (CK-610?), just something that will allow me to easily answer and make the odd call easily, with radio mute, and as cheaply as possible. If it will automatically take the call when the ignition is switched on, that would be handy.
    Thanks,
    Nick.

    Thanks Danny,
I'm curious as to why using a pop port connection would be a safety issue? Surely once the phone is plugged in and sat in a cubby hole, it's no different to using the kit with bluetooth?
I think I've come to the conclusion that I may as well buy any bluetooth handsfree and a separate charger. Most of the time I will not need to charge the phone in the car, but I need the facility just in case. At least with a separate charger, I will be able to use it in a different car.
I could buy a CK-1W which appears to be exacly the same as the 7W apart from the pop-port snd cheaper. Otherwise there are numerous universal handsfree kits available. Any suggestions?
    Nick.

  • Car kit for 6210 Navigator

I've just upgraded from a 6230i, for which I have a Cark126 car kit, to the 6210 Navigator. I can't find anything like my current car kit for the Navigator. I really wanted to just plug the phone into a cradle and have it immediately charge and connect to the car's handsfree.
What do you all think is the best way to go 'hands-free' in the car, with my new phone? My hubby says he's capable of wiring a hands-free kit if it's straightforward but that he's no car or electronics expert!

Both the CK-100 and CK-300 have a charging cable coming from the control unit.
The charging cable plugs into the bottom of the cradle and then every time you put the phone in the cradle, it will be on charge and held legally. The actual connection to the car kit itself is over wireless Bluetooth.
If your car has aux in on the stereo system then the CK-300 is the all singing, all dancing option as you can operate more controls of the phone from the control button of the car kit AND have music from the phone playing through the car stereo PLUS a 3.5mm jack that you can connect an IPod to.
However you do not have aux in, the CK-100 will give a good simple solution and still give you the wireless music option but played directly through the car speakers.

  • Can anyone recommend a car kit for the Nokia 6131?

I'm looking for a car kit for my 6131 and I'm a bit baffled by all of the options I've found on the internet.
All I really need is a nice neat mobile holder and a charger. The holder should not be the type that attaches to the air vents; I had one of those once before and it just made the car look untidy!
I already have access to a Jabra BT250 bluetooth earpiece so I'm assuming that if the phone is in its cradle I'll be able to use that to make and answer calls. Otherwise I don't mind buying a bluetooth car kit if it's a better option.
I noticed on another thread that someone was recommending the wireless plug in hands free HF-6W to a 6131 owner, but the phone isn't listed as compatible with that on Nokia's web site. In fact, if you look at the compatibility details for all of Nokia's car kits, the 6131 isn't listed as compatible with any of them!
Any recommendations for the best holder and charger for the 6131, or a single unit that combines both?

The only way to connect this phone to a car kit is via a bluetooth connection, the ck-7w would be suitable for this. There is no specific holder for this phone so you would need a universal holder, i suggest that you buy a specific non damaging bracket for your car to mount this on to give you the best position.

  • Which Car Kit for my trusted 6230 & 6230i

I am so confused with the amount of Car Kits available. I would like a kit for my 6230 & 6230i and have seen 2 so far. The CARK 91 and the CARK 126 but do not know which would be more suitable. I do not want Bluetooth connection, I would just like to plug the phone in a cradle and have a decent 2 way conversation. Any ideas on which kit would be the most suitable. Power/stereo mute/external antenna would be nice but not essential. Thanks in advance.

CK-7W Car kit using the wired connection into an MBC-15s Cradle with the AXF-15s Antenna Coupler.
The only downside to these older wired car kits is that there is no digital speech processing so there will always be some background noise. Therefore is it critical that the microphone is correcly placed directly in the line of your voice and away from air flow from an open window or air vent.

  • BB Q10 is troublesome for my bluetooth car stereo due to too many contacts

In the past my various blackberrys have had no problem connecting via bluetooth to my car stereos or various hands free units. I do have 9,000+ contacts on my blackberry. Typically a car hands free unit will only take the fist few hundred or thousand. This has never bothered me as i dial manually from my backberry phone. However on the Q10 it seems to keep feeding contacts to my Kenwood car stereo, result being that my stereo displays continuously the message "downloading" over any other display - which is frustrating to say the least. I have spoken at length with Kenwood support, and they seem unable to help, but keep leading back to trying to find a way for the Q10 to connect on the bluetooth for voice / calls, but turn off sharing of contacts or data. The kenwood product does not have any control on this unfortunately. The Q10 also seems to support phone book auto synchronisation. I know others have had issues on the bluetooth car connection for the Q 10, but no one seem to have the same issue i do - of too many contacts, or not that i have seen. The phone works fine via the bluetooth connection, it is simply a pain that i cannot see my tracks or radio station on the stereo because it is "downloading". Does anyone have a solution for this issue from the blackberry side, if not is there likely to be one in the future? I have been impressed by the fact that blackberry have made other changes recently such as resolution size of photographs etc, wonder if we can expect other tweaks.

In Italy we have some Radio Sender which can be connected to the iPhone and send the music to the FM receiver.
They are practically useless. Even if you can tune in to find a range free from Radio sender it is stable only for 1 Mile. Then you get a strong radio over your music.
BT should be more stable but I do not believe it will give you a stronger signal compared to a direct cable connection.
    You really need an amplifier.

  • Car Kit for Nokia 8800

Can any one suggest the best hands free car kit that the nokia 8800 is compatible with.

You may use a 616 car kit which has display and your phone will support sim access so you can download your contacts.

  • Car kit for N73

I have a Motorola bluetooth car kit which worked perfectly with my motorola phone, but I have real problems using it with my N73. I have to connect it manually ever time I get in the car and even then it doesn't work sometimes.
Can anyone recommend a bluetooth car kit that definitely works with the N73. I don't want to buy another one only to find it won't work either. From what I've read, the N73 can be fussy when it comes to bluetooth.
    Thanks.

You might be better off asking this question on the accessories board - there may even be an answer on there already.

  • N80 and Motorola IHF1000 Bluetooth car kit

    Hi all,
I've been unable to get my Nokia N80 to correctly pair with the standard bluetooth car kit supplied with the car. I have also downloaded the latest firmware, but this does not seem to rectify the issue.
Is there another solution instead of moving to another phone manufacturer?

I'm now with Sony Ericsson and the above post should have been my last were it not for a rather belated response to my enquiry with Nokia 'Support'. Moderators really should take note to the response that Nokia 'support' team offer as it is in their direction that the moderators will often send bemused Nokia owners who need help on this forum: - -------------------------------------------------- Dear Mr xxx Thank you for contacting Nokia Helpline. With regard to your email concerning the Nokia N80, we can advise as Nokia do not test out handste with any third party software or deivices we can not say wether they will be compatabile. Please don't hesitate to contact us again if you have any further questions. With best regards UK & Ireland Team Nokia Helpline ---------------------------------------------------- It has taken the best part of 3 weeks to receive the above response which, quite frankly, offers absolutely no help whatsoever!! Quite an admission though. Just to repeat what they have said above....NOKIA do NOT test their handsets with ANY third party software or device. This leaves owners such as myself, who spec car-kits at he point of buying a new car because they prefer the integrated equipment rather than an 'add-on', completely high and dry! I still have the N80 and intend to keep it as a constant reminder NEVER to buy anything made by Nokia again. ttfn
