Best export setting for video taken with an iPhone 4?

Whats the best way to do it and keep all the quality? Any presets i could have?

These work perfectly for the IPhone 3 so i do not see any reason why the should not give the same result in 4.
Just copied them from CS5.

Coming from Final Cut Pro, I would export a ProRes 1080 mov file for my TV. This would give me a high quality playback.
I have experimented with several export options in PP 6 and noticed choppy playback on my TV. Upon closer inspection, the FPS appears to be changing with each frame.
What settings do I need for a constant 24fps with a high bitrate ?

4 Hours later, I am still waiting on the export of a 10 minute HD timeline.   The clips all have Magic Bullet on them but that's about all. There must be a quicker workflow for this ?
My Final Cut workflow was the following...
Export a 5-10 minute ProRes HD Sequence takes about 5 minutes!   I then open theProRes mov file and convert to H264 with a smaller dimension. I use quicktime player to make this conversion. This takes me no more than 1 hour.   Total export and conversion with Apple's Final Cut averages about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

There isn't one. You have to convert the media to one of the ProRes codecs, probably ProRes LT would work best. You need to do this in Compressor.
Easy setup isn't relevant as it's options are for tape based media, which this isn't.

Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder on your PC to /Music/ on your Mac.
Then delete what you don't want.
You will need to authorize yrou computer for the iTunes account yoru mother has.
You should create & use your own iTunes account for any more purchases.
You don't need to export anything and definitely don't need to (and shouldn't) convert anything.

here is a cheaper solution than camera kit and a lot easier if you have WIFI available.
I use the PhotoSync APP (I think its a $1.99) will transfer videos and photos over WIFI to any other IOS device or even PC/MAC. Great app since I like doing video and photos on my IPHONE and transfer to IPAD2 without synching through computer or doing cloud based storage.
You can even send photos/videos from your MAC/PC to your IOS devices that way too. Makes it so much easier.

Yes, I know that, but it was easier to see it on the Iphone self, like the other company phones. The name of the picture taken should be the date when it was taken.

You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.

Sometimes syncing will have problems with very large video files like this. I'm not sure you will be able to overcome this, but if the videos are important enough you may consider purchasing 3rd party software such as Touch Copy to transfer them.

Best Export settings for vid shot with iPhone5S

Hi, I have been reading the discussions and tried many settings but it all didn't work. The exported video is still choppy/jerky
Heres my situation. I have video clips that I have shot from my iPhone 5S (1080x1920) H.264.
In order to rotate the video orientation to 1920x1080 (portrait) without the black bars, I use iSkySoft video converter. (Should I skip this step and just use iMovie directly?)
After getting the video coverted to an mp4 file of smaller size, I do my editing in iMovie 11. Everything looks good, the preview looks good on my mac. But I cant seem to find the perfect settings to export the project so that there is no quality loss and no jerky/choppy motions in the video.
I've tried these settings for export:
video format: H.264,
data rate: 16000kbits/sec (overkill?)
optimized for: cd/dvd-rom
image size: custom (1080x1920)
frame rate: 30
Key frame: Every, 30 frames.
WIth these settings, the exported vid is slightly jerky.
I would like to know what would be the best way to edit my videos shot with my iPhone 5s, then export them without losing quality? I only need the videos to be on my mac. I dont have to upload it anywhere or get them on DVD.

You messed up. You should NOT have rendered MP4 out of Premiere to use in AE. You're adding compression and quality loss in between stages. BAD video person!
The easiest thing to do would be to import your Premiere project in AE. That way it can use the original footage too. If, for some reason, you can't do that, you should render a lossless file out of Premiere. Speaking of lossless files, that's what you rendered out of AE. This page explains your large AE file issue.
Anyway, take that large file you render out of AE into the Adobe Media Encoder and render out your final compressed file. Either H.264 or WMV should work well for playback.

Can anyone give me some advice on the best export settings for a short video that is to be viewed on the web? I have some short, say 2 minute videos that need to be placed on a website and need a reasonable file size. What would the best Format and Preset options be in Premiere? Would it be helpful to utilize After Effects to reduce file size? Thank you in advance to anyone who has some advice!!

For now, it would be on my own website or a clients website. But there may
be another possibility, I have a client that already has some videos
available for viewing on their website, looks like they are YouTube videos
that play on their site, and there is an option to "Watch on YouTube". So I

What will be the best exporting setting from FILE>EXPORT> to share a HD projet on the web.

Convert it to h.264.
Try this:
File - Export - QT Conversion...
Make sure QT movie is selected and where it says default... change it to Broadband High.
Then go into the OPTIONS button and change the size to reflect the 16:9 aspect ratio...
That will give you the quality you want I'm sure.
As for # megs... well -- try a smaller SIZE option and then force it 2x or 1.5x from your web page.

Why does iMovie not recognize video taken with my iPhone that is in Aperture

Since "upgrading" (not sure that is a good term for this project) to Lion, I am unable to see or import .mov files taken with my iPhone, on a Mac using Aperture and iMovie. I uninstalled 3ivX and now can see them in iPhoto and Aperture but when I try to import them into iMovie you cannot see them in the media browser.

You have to import the movie into iTunes via iOS file sharing, then drag the movie from the file sharing window in iTunes to the desktop, then you can import the movie into iMovie. Here are the details.

I've searched, no clear answer.... Simply trying to determine the best settings in iMovie 11 to export slideshow (no video, just stills using jpegs) that will ultimately be used primarily for viewing on a computer screen..either Mac or PC. Goal is highest quality..don't care about size.

The presets are all h.264. They are pretty good. However, if you know what you are doing, you may get better results using export to QuickTime. It is not likely to look any better, but you may be able to get a smaller file size that looks about the same.
