Best free flight combat game with iOS 6?

Hello
I'm looking for a nice flight combat game to play on iOS 6.
I'd like to find one that I can play when I'm not connected to the internet, like on a plane, etc.
I was using Skies of Glory, but now in iOS 6 it won't open - just crashes.
Metal Storm is nice, but requires an internet connection to play.
And if you know one that's free, that would be great too.

Boooo this makes me sad I'm putting myself through college. I can't afford a new iPad but I really wanted Siri for while I'm driving. *sigh*
You notice other things about the update? YouTube apparently isn't free you have to pay two bucks to put the app back on. This update was not nearly as amazing as I anticipated lol. Totally put a downer on my day, thinkin I'm gonna wait to do it on my other electronics.

hey guys, i'm looking at moving over to the Mac in a couple days and i just need to know the best free Word Processor that can open .doc files. 99% of my docs made in Word are of the 97-2003 variety and not 2007's .docx.

Well, in terms of best, it might be argued the best would be MS Word for Mac (MS Office for Mac 2011) as it uses the same native format as the window's version of office.
Others that are compatible include Apple's own Pages - http://www.apple.com/apps/pages/
Then there are the free offerings, like openoffice - http://www.openoffice.org/ and others.
I do not honestly know if there is one single "best" as there are so many possible specific features and formating oddities in MS Word that it is impossible to say that any one otherwise generally MS-Word-compatible program is guaranteed to be 100% compatible with your specific documents.

Update it from iTunes on a computer as described at the bottom of this article; there isn't a Software Update option in General on iOS versions prior to 5.0. It can only be updated directly to the newest iOS release supported by the device’s hardware, which is iOS 6.1.6 for an iPhone 3GS.

you can update over the air with strong wireless signal, or by connecting to a computer running iTunes. Either works well. If you do the update over the air, be sure and attach your iPhone to a wall outlet so you have a solid power supply and don't risk the battery dying during the update.
The iTunes approach installs a much larger file because of the connection, but if you have not updated since 5.1 that might be a better approach...replace the entire operating system instead of patching.
Either way, backup the iPhone yourself just for your own protection in the off-chance something should go wrong...a little paranoia while updating is a good thing

The apps are free with iOS 7 if you purchased a new device after September 2013. The apps do not come free just because you are running iOS 7 now. Did you purchase or receive a new iPad recently?
If you did, are you using the same Apple ID to get the apps that you used to activate the iPad? If you are, sign out of your ID, restart your iPad, sign in again and go back to the App Syore and see if the apps show up as free.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad and go back to the settings and sign in again.

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.
