Best headphones for iPod function

Hi all:
I'm looking into getting a nice pair of Bose headsets...but nto sure about which one to get. I dont fly alot, so I wouldnt need noise-cancelling, right? It would be using mostly in the office..and the white apple headphones are not giving me the full enjoyment of my music.
Can Anyone suggest some nice headsets?

I have had the Klipsch Image S4i earphones for a couple of months.
They come with different size earpieces to fit different size ears (duh!). But, they also suit different contexts. I use the small ones while exercising to allow some ambient (and potentially dangerous) sounds in. I use larger ones in places like airplanes when I want minimal ambient sound.
In addition, the sound is quite good. The chord is longer than Apple standard issue. The chord is also not as springy which I didn’t realize was a negative until I got the Klipsch (they wind up and store better and are less tangly). The buttons are easy to find without looking and easy to operate. The mic works very well. And, the earpiece fits into the ear nicely and is much less prone to falling out.

After using apple standard headphone, now i am feel degrading the sound quality i.e. the loudness of output has reduced when i compare to the now headphones. Could some one suggest best In Ear Head phone for iPod Touch.

I have been using Ultimate ears for years and am very happy with them.

  • Best headphones for ipod nano 5gen 8gb music wise?

    Hi,
Just got my first ever ipod. I got the earbuds and am reasonably happy with them, but they do not provide the eardrum damaging bass and volume capabilities I require, even at full volume. I have tried my other pair of full sized Seinheisser headphones, which I use for my Sony Floor system and they have improved the quality of the sound immensely, but the volume has dropped right off. Any suggestions for maybe some mid sized earphones that will give me that high quality, and volume I need to for my dance tracks? Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks

It is a subjective issue, but thats what I got for myself

I would like to use my Ipod Nano to play music for my

best serve this purpose. The wedding is small, but
moves from outdoors to indoors, so I need something portable that also has good sound quality (i.e., loud). Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • Best replacement Headphones for ipod

My family has seven ipods of different sizes and ages. We are constantly stealing each others' ear buds, losing them and breaking them. Every time I look for replacements, either Apple brand or 3rd party, it seems the reviews regarding quality are spotty at best.
What are the best options for replacing ipod ear phones?
    Thanks!

Well, the Bose In-Ear Headphones are pretty good, high-quality, but expensive and don't really help with the Classic's lack of volume.
I have two sets of headphones, both made by Skullcandy (available at Best Buy - at least that's where I got mine). One is their Over-the-Ear Headphones, which have a BASS-Booster built in, and the other is their In-Ear Headphones, which have a volume adjuster on the cord, which does boost the volume just a bit without losing any quality that I can notice.
And you can purchase BOTH sets of the Skullcandy headphones for the price of the highly-rated Bose In-Ear headphones. Personally, if you're looking for a new set of In-Ear Headphones ... I'd go with the ones from Skullcandy.

  • Best Headphones for the X-Fi Fatal

Ive been searching the internet EVERYWHERE for the best 5. headphone setup im willing to spend 250 max.
I like headphones cause they are not as noisy. (i li've in an apartment complex)
Can you guys please help me in the search for the best headphones?!
All the help and advice is greatly appriciated! =]

First of all, there is no such thing as true 5. headphones. 5. headphones was a huge failure in the first place. All the 5. headphones I tested sounded like crap, nothing close to quality stereo headphones. All the top dog headphone companies like Sennheiser, AKG, Grados, beyerdynamic would've start making 5. headphones if it gained popularity and practical functionality, but it hasn't.
Don't waste your time and money on someone's research project go out and get a pair of quality stereo headphones instead.
Sennheiser's HD595 is a good starting headphone. Shipdog.com currently has them for $48 (retails for $300)

  • Best headphones for working out?

I just got my first ipod (5G) so I am not familiar with what headphones create the best sound for it...I will mainly be using it while I work out so I won't want to use big 'ole "earmuffs"...any suggestions?

I've tried many, many different kinds of phones with my iPods over the last 2 years. I own several isolater-style phones from SHURE , ER, and Sony and they sound superb but for working out isolaters reflect too much of my breathing sounds. They also feel mushy in your ear after you start to perspire.. Unless your club has really loud music to tune out, I'd avoid isolator-types, and if you do, pick the soft plastic tips over the foam ones!
Believe it or not, the best listening experience I've found for working out is the Koss KSC-75 Sport Clip-On Headphones.
These clip on to your ears but they are completely comfortable- unlike every other clip-on type I've ever tried.
They currently retail for $13 at some retail websites, and the sound is tremendous. I enjoy listening to music on these more than even my isolators. They are that comfortable and great-sounding.
heres a review on a website that does a good job of reviewing phones by usage categories.

    I'd give them a try-

  • Best Headphones for x-fi fatali

    Hello,
i am planning to buy a soundblaster x-fi fatality next week.
Currently i am using the speedlink medusa 5. headset, but i am not pleased with this headset.
As long as i am buying a quite expensi've (imo) soundcard, I want the headset to match perfectly to that card.
I am going to use the headphones for the following purposes: playing games (Battlefield 2, Everquest 2, GT Legends, Age of Empires II) and listening to music.
I thought about buying the Sennheiser PC 60 Headset, but i am afraid, that this one doesn?t fit exactly to the x-fi: i read in a test, that the simulated surround sound works best with headphones, that cover the whole ear (hope that you know what i mean).
Does someone have experiences, with this hardware combination?
Or can you recommend some headsets?
Maybe it'ss even better to buy some good headphones and use a seperate microphone?
Thanks in advance for your help

You should do a forum search on this topic - it has been posted a few times and the responses contained the info you seek.
Good luck with your new card. I have a fatalty and like it very much. You will love how good BF2 sounds.

  • Best headphones for working out? Shure E2C or Bose In ear TriPort?

I want some good headphones for my Nano (2nd gen) while I'm working out (jogging).
My wife gave me the Bose In Ear TriPort for Xmas, and while the sound is very good, the right tends to "loosen up" easily. I can return within 30 days, hence I need opinions on other headphones for working out.
I have read positive reports on the Shure E2C and the Sennheiser MX 70.
Does anybody have any experience using these headphones during workouts? I am looking for great sound but more importantly, a set of in ear phones that stay secure while working out. I do not want heavy bass either.
    All opinions are appreciated.
    Thanks

I have the E2c and they are great. The only caveat I have are the sleeves. It comes with 3 types, flex, soft flex, and foam. They all come in 3 sizes also. The best fit that works for me are the foam. They stay in your ear and provide excellent isolation.
Here is the site to read about them.

I'll keep that in mind when I fly and make sure to hide my Bowers and Wilkins P5's at the bottom of my carry on when I fly .
I actually loved my Klipsch S4i in-ear headphones, but after loosing two pairs, I just couldn't justify buying another seeing as I would probably loose them in another month or so. I did ask if I could re-mortgage my house at the Apple Store when picking up the P5's and they said no.

  • WHAT IS THE BEST CLOSED HEADPHONE FOR IPOD $50-70?

i have been looking at the Sony MDRV6, Sennheiser HD280, Sennheiser PX100, and Beyerdynamic DT 231. i have heard the Grado's in this price range are excellent as well but i don't really like open ear headphones. i need something good for the airplane and mowing the lawn.
    anybody know whats just right?

I don't know about "best" since everyone will have their own opinion, but check out these.
    AKG K27i.
Closed back, excellent sound quality, and I bought them for the same reason as you, for airplane use.
I normally use the Sennheiser PX100s (which are open backed by the way, not closed), but they let in too much outside noise if you are not in a quiet environment.
You could also check out PX200s which are closed back, but a bit bright in the top end for my taste.

  • Best Over-ear headphones for iPod

My search continues for superior sounding over-ear phones with good bass and crisp sound. Can't do the in-ear phones. Tried the Bose Comfort 2, Sennheiser HD595, and Ultimate Ears 5. Senneheiser comes closest. Bose sound muffled to me. Any suggestions for good over-ear cans? I'm ok up to $250 or so. Thanks
    Dell XPS   Windows XP Pro

The Senn PX100 sounds flat..no bass whatsoever. So I got me the PXC150. The best one I have had especially with Noise Cancelling switched to on.
