Best iPad Air 2 case ?

I'Ve had my iPad for 2 weeks now and it's still naked. I've been looking for a case and obviously thr first one I thought of was Apple Smart case. However after watching the videos and reviews I feel like it makes the iPad bulkier than it should be. What I want is a keyboard case ( like Clamcase) or a case that provides different viewing anges so I can use Apple Keyboard with my iPad. Any recommendations will be appreciated:)

You're right, they only say the Air

You can call them and ask them if a case is coming for the Air 2. I've found their customer service to be really good.
I've used one of the older folio cases on my iPad 2 for almost 3 years now and love it.

  • What is the best iPad air case?

Just got my new ipad and have been trying to find a decent case/cover for it.  I used to have a belkin tri-fold cover/case for my ipad 3 and that did the job.  With the air being so thin and light i dont want to beef it up too much with a cover.
Had been looking at the Logitech protective folio case - but read that it's very heavy.
    Any suggestions or recommendations?????????

I got the Smart Cover (front side only) and now I'm looking for something to protect the back side. I didn't purchase the Smart Case because it's too expensive. I don't want to add thickness to it either. I just need something to protect the device while I'm on the go. This sleeve looks great:

LivingSocial has a 50% discount coupon. Head over to slickdeals. Search for incase for iPad. That's how I got mine. I'm about to get one tonight.
    EDIT:
I just read a response from Kappy after posting my reply. I'm new here and honestly don't know this forum rules. If my post violates the rule... mods, feel free to delete my reply in this thread.

  • Best iPad Air / iPad 5 Case?

Anybody starting their search for an iPad Air case?  Think Otterbox will create a case for this?

Not the most attractive, but they are great for gripping if you game a lot, or take the ipad around for music technology, as a recorder/poratable studio, synth etc...
    http://www.gumdropcases.com/droptech-ipad-5-case.html
The one i have on my ipad 2 is still going strong, has Microban to keep germs away, and as well as covering all ports, has a built in replaceable screen protector.
I prefer them over the Otterbox cases I have used in the past to be honest. The Otterbox for my Galaxy s3 stretched out and is no good although the one for my HTC was very nice.
Try the Gumdrop I highly recommend them, spesh if your the outdoor type, they look rugged and are really comfy to hold.

  • IPad Air case causing problems

My brand new Apple case keeps shutting down my brand new iPad Air as the case presses on the switch. The opening in the case where the lightning cable is plugged in is also badly aligned and I have to fiddle with the case to get the lightning cable to engage. Is anyone else experiencing problems like this?

I bought my iPad Air and decided I needed a case on it FAST. I looked at dozens of cases/covers online from a variety of sources. It's super expensive, but I kept coming back to the genuine Apple iPad Air case. Bought one and it works flawlessly. All of the attachment holes line up (speakers, mics, headphone and Lightning jacks, camera, etc) and the iPad fits securely. Cover closes perfectly and the fit, finish and materials quality is what I was expecting from Apple.
Hated spending that much on a case but after spending $499 + tax on an iPad, I only wanted the best case to protect it. Easier to use and enjoy this super thin, light and fast iPad when it's protected from dirt, grime, scratches and dents. Hopefully in a fall but hope that doesn't happen. It's a personal decision and you'll need to go with whatever makes you the happiest...

  • BEST iPad 2 case, WITH screen protection built in!!

I am looking for the best ipad 2 case. I know there are other posts on here, but I can never find the information I am personally looking for.
First of all let me start by saying I have an iphone 3gs. On my iphone I have an otterbox which is water resistant, shock proof, and it COVERS the screen.
That is exactly what I want, except I want it in ipad 2 form.
I am looking for an ipad 2 case that has a screen. I do not want a screen protector I want my case to have the screen. But I havent come accross any like that. I bought an otterbox but it didn't have a screen, I don't know if I bought the wrong otterbox, but if anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it!!
    Thankssss

You'll get more responses to this in the "Using iPad" forum then here... you may want to move it.
But to start - what do you mean by wanting a case that "covers the screen" and "to have the screen" but not a screen protector? It seems like you want a case that covers the screen but at the same time lets you use the screen? But is not a screen protector?

  • What is the best iPad Air 2 Case that features a swivel hand strap?

What is the best lightweight iPad Air 2 case that features a swivel hand strap?

I use the i-Blason Smart Cover with Hand Strap. It's the most full function case I have found. It has magnets for the smart cover function, a hand strap as well as a slot for business cards and such.

  • BEST iPad 2 case for Kids

My 5 year old has the Griffin Survivor 2 on her iPad, it's a great case.
See my review on it here
    http://livinthemommylife.blogspot.com/2012/02/griffin-survivor-ipad-2-case-revie w.html

Thank you all SO much! My 2 1/2 y.o. uses my iPad and I've been paranoid about her dropping it! I was familiar with the Otterbox series, since I have a Defender case for my iPhone 4, but was not familiar with the Trident Kraken! I think this will be a perfect fit for her, especially since she's often frustrated because of accidental screen swipes, or from where she holds the screen, and it's slightly extended handles seem to be the perfect solution. I also found it on Amazon for $27! Nice!
I'd also like to add to @HuskieN, there are 24 hours in a day and if the other parents here are like me, our children get PLENTY of outside play time, as well as other extra-curricular activities such as dance and music class, however, there are times when she needs to sit still, and I'd much rather she play with the eLearning's Spanish flash cards, or Kids Manadarin language matching game than turn what should be a 30 min affair into a 2 hour one.
We're raising well-rounded children, ones who are physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and technologically experienced, so don't knock others parenting tacticts unless you know and understand the fullness of them.

  • What are the best ipad mini cases

Does any one have any recomendations foran ipad mini cases?

    MikeNMN wrote:
I agree with the earlier post, you gotta go with the Otterbox Case. I purchased this case for my IPad Mini. It is a perfect fit and does not add much weight at all. It is great protection and a necessity to have this for the IPAD Mini. The stand is nice for both upright and side display of the iPad Mini on my desk.
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009WU5XUG
I'm what you consider a gadget junkie always trying out new products and since the introduction to tablets (iPad's) I've been searching for that perfect case as well. I've owned the clamcase (keys broke three months from purchase date and yes, just after the warranty expired), hard shell, soft shell, leather cases, and the Otterbox Defender case for the iPad2. The previous edition I was not as impressed with. The silicon was a bit loose and felt too bulky but it did do it's job twice, when I dropped it on concrete. I just purchased the iPad Mini and shopping for a case, a young man sold me this otter box that was his display. This case rocks!!! The silicon wraps tightly around the plastic case which feels like one entire piece. It does add to the weight of the mini but definitely better than the larger version, not to mention, the peace of mind knowing it's protected. Also, the rubber port covers for the plug, earphones actually stay in place when pushed in.
A brief word about some of the AMAZING features of this case... The screen protector is built in to the top part of the case, and although I had trepidation about that initially, my fears were allayed; the screen sits on the screen directly and there is no space between the screen and the protector. The removable cover doubles as a stand in several positions, and feels like Cole Hamels could throw a fastball at it and it would still protect the screen. Also, you can use it on the front or the back so if you're throwing your mini in a backpack or luggage, you can do it without fear.
Obviously there's not too much to say about this case that hasn't already been said. It's tough, it's stylish and it's functional. But that should be no surprise... OtterBox is renowned for their cases by now. All I can recommend is this: to those who are wondering whether it is worth the money, imagine what it will be like to take your iPad mini out of the OtterBox in a year and have it look exactly the same as the day you bought it. No scratches, no scuffs, cracks.
It's just an amazing case, well worth money for the peace of mind it brings.

  • Lifeproof iPad case for iPad air

Does anyone know if they will be coming out with a lifeproof case for the iPad air?

    Sully:
Not sure about what lifeproof is up to but have you checked MacCase? They have been around forever and do both high and low end cases for the iPad. I have their Premium Leather Folio for the iPad Air and it's probably the best iPad Air case out there. My girlfriend has a super expensive fashon brand case that cost like $1000 and it's not made as well as my MacCase Folio. Worth a look -

  • What is the best slim/light iPad 3 case under $40?

Is anyone else OCD about buying the perfect case for the ipad 3?  I had an Apple Smart Cover but I don't think it provdies enough protection and functinality for the price so I'm selling it.
Anyway, what is the best iPad 3 case with a slim and light design under $40?

I know you said under $40.00 but I just thought I'd share it anyways...I got the Targus Slim case usually go for $50.00 but if you shop around online, you can get it at about $42 to $46.00 the cheapest.
The case is beautifully made, slim and fantastic material (not cheap looking ). Though I must say that I had trouble with this case at first since Targus released the case without knowing that iPad had change the position of the new iPads magnets which a lot of cases out there is having same problem with the auto on and off feature when you open and close the cover but fear not since Targus has great customer service, when I called them and explained the problem, they honestly admit that a lot of people are experiencing the same and sent me a new corrected case and told me too that I don't have to send them the first one I got for a replacement....what a service.
Here's the link of the product....

  • What is the best charging cable for the iPad Air (that is not made by Apple)? I need a long cable (over 6ft or more). I also need the cable to be of high quality and the cord part of the cable to be made of strong material.

What is the best charging cable for the iPad Air (that is not made by Apple)? I need a long cable (over 6ft or more). I also need the cable to be of high quality and the cord part of the cable to be made of strong material. Apple does not make one this long. Is there a cable out there that is sturdy like this and is safe to use?

yes, but I'm trying to use my iPad to type notes (using pages) and I have the smart case which I use as a stand. I need a cable long enough to fit through the back of my desk and the charging brick for the iPad won't fit behind the desk. I have to put it on the floor and then the apple cables aren't long enough to reach.

  • IPad Air 2 Smart Case Fake?

    Hello all,
I have recently bought a Smart Case for my iPad Air 2 in BestBuy.
I didn't notice that the front face of the box said "iPad Air 2 Smart Case".
When I watched some review in YouTube, all of them do not have "2" printed, in fact, some of them point out that the cases for Air 2 has the writing not in bold as it for the original Air ones.
Has BestBuy given me a fake one? Or does Apple have different/new box model?
    Thank you

No one here can possibly know, but I doubt you were swindled by Best Buy. If your not happy with the case, simply take it back.

  • What is the best wireless printer to use with an IPad Air and IPhone?

What is the best wireless printer to use with an IPad Air and IPhone that will print both text and photos?  Also, is the separate keyboard available for the IPad Air, yet?

Best is relative. Different people like different things. I have an epson that I like. I'd look through a site like Best Buy and compare reviews for Air Print enabled printers.
as to the keyboard, I know Zagg has one and I think there are other manufacturers that have keyboards for the Air. As far as I know, pretty much any bluetooth keyboard will work, but if you want a case then you'd need to get a specific one.
