Best iphone case

Looking for a great iPhone 4S case for both my wife and me.  We both have Otterbox Defenders and keep waiting on the Armor to show up.  However, the Defender is rather bulky and based on the measurements of the Armor, it will be, too.  Have looked at LifeProof but a little hesitant about the screen cover (looks and feels cheap).  My wife would like something waterproof since her last phone (a BB) got moisture (from the air!) inside its battery compartment and killed it.  As for me, I also have a Speck case with a protective screen, but I always have to take it apart to clean it and went back to my Defender.  Any advice would be much appreciated!

Just remember there isn't such thing as a best case. Depends on your needs and usage I guess. If you're careful with your things, a slim case would be best imo. Screen protector is optional but it increases the value of your handset when you decide to sell it if there are no scratches on the LCD.

  • Best iPhone case - what's your favorite

I have heard that many iPhone cases scratch the heck out of the iPhone...
What are your thoughts on some of these cases?
I heard the "Agent Zero" iPhone cases are pretty good... any thoughts?

With out a doubt - The Otterbox Defender Case is the best case going - Many of my friends have iPhones - They have now or have had every case imaginable - I read all the reviews and went with the Otterbox Defender Case - I have a few scratches on the Otterbox screen protector - Not one scratch anywhere on my iPhone - I have dropped my phone in this case - No damage at all - I open it up every now and then just to check if my phone has gotten any scratches from the inside of the case - Not one - It works so well that I have bought a second one to have when the built in screen protector gets to scratched for my taste - But - It repels damage so well that i may never need it - The holster also works really well - If you are thinking of an iPhone think of a case first - I had my Otterbox Defender in hand a few days before my phone arrived - It never had a moment without it on and has been great ever since - Bottom line - Buy the case first - Then get the phone - One more thing - The installation instructions that come with the Otterbox are okay - You can see an installation vidieo on the Otterbox Website that makes it an easy move

  • Best iPhone Case suggestions..

I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion for my next iPhone case. I need to find one that has a beltclip. The one I have now is a Speck brand and is like a clear silicon rubberized looking case. I have dropped my phone twice now and have small cosmetic marks on the bottom of the phone where the dock connector plugs into. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

My personal recommendation is the iskin revo - I think it is awesome.
    - The silicone case is better than the speck - not as sticky in your pocket - but still feels nice
    - All of ports are covered - the volume, on/off switch, main menu button, headphone jack (flips back for insert) which really keeps the dust and dirt from your pocket or other areas from getting into the phone.
    - The film that goes on the screen is great - not only does it greatly minimize the smears and smudges, but the privacy effect when viewed from the side works great, it directs the light at you - not to the side, which is nice if you are looking at your phone in a theater.
    - the extra plastic shield which easily flipts to the back is a nice extra feature - I don't use it much - but I do when I put my phone in my gym bag, or bike bag for extra protectoin on the screen.
its a good all purpose case - I don't use the clip myself though. I've dropped my phone a few times and the extra rubber on the corners provides a little extra cushion in those instances.

  • The Best iPhone case I ever gotten

    click this link
    http://blog.monkeykit.com/2007/09/14/review-eco-iphone-shield-by-agent-18/
I have bought alot of cases for the iphone and this one is the best and the most secure and it protects the silver lining on the phone and it's eco friendly, I bought one in the apple store and all the employees love it too, any questions let me know.

I read the review and bought an Agent 18 case over the weekend.
    Taking it back tomorrow.
I typically don't use cases for my hand held electronics. Aside from looking like a tool, it's redundant.
But the back of the iPhone is so slick... I'm afraid my cat could easily knock it off the table if she were feeling frisky.
When I bought the 'phone on June 29, I also picked up an Incase.
    http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/protective-cover-cl59019
The case comes with instructions that recommend frequently removing the case to clean out dust as they can scratch the chrome. Fine. But frequent removing and reinstalling the case leaves things fitting less than snug. And leaving the case on will result in a very marred chrome ring on your 'phone.
So for now, I am still searching that perfect case: one that offers a snug, grippy fit without damaging the device. Anyone?

  • What's the Best iPhone case????

I like to keep my phone in my pocket but in doing so gets a lot of dust and lint on it. Is there any case out there that would work better against dust build up. I not that worried right now, but over the years the build up could get inside and slow down the machine.
I have currently have the agent 18 case and an static cling screen protector.

I usually resist responding to threads but I just had to throw in my two cents…
I’ve tried a lot, and I do mean a lot of cases. I’ve spent a lot on my iPhone and equally on accessories but the main objective is to prevent the inevitable drop on the pavement from destroying my iPhone AND still make the iPhone look awesome.
The leather holsters didn’t work for me because they don’t protect all four corners. Out of the silicone models, DLO’s Jam Jacket is great but only comes in black. The sister Jam Jacket with Headset Management comes in colors but management system going on in the back is clunky and drives me crazy.
Equally as good, if not better would be the Incase Protective Cover which is considerably more expensive but really works well with the phone. I have red and slate but the red conforms better and hides the metal ring around the phone.
As far as protection, I dropped my phone with the DLO Jam Jacket on it and sent it doing cart-wheels on the pavement with no visible damage. I’m not so sure the Incase Protective Cover could do that because the silicone is significantly harder than the DLO model which also makes it harder to get off and on.

  • The best iphone case for functionality

Okay, so I just got myself an i Phone 4S and now am looking for a case. After browsing the interwebs for a bit I have begun to notice the pattern of either bulky hard plastic cases designed to protect I'm guessing, or interesting silicone ones more marketed toward 'showing the personality of the user' as types of cases avalible. The thing is while I do want my fancy (i.e. expensive) new phone to be protected, I also want it to stay fairly slim and functional: I do not carry a purse and usually just stick my phone in my pocket: I also often go out dancing and with this upgrade to a fancier phone I now find myself sattled with a larger one. I'm looking for a case that protects but doesn't add too much extera bulk: any suggestions?

I thought these cases were known to cause heat problems in the Iphone....that is what an ATT rep told me some time ago...did Otterbox recently redesign their cases? I am always afraid that a belt clip will snap off in a busy place like an airport...
The AT&T rep is wrong - no problem with overheating. The only problem the Defender case had was an echo when using speakerphone. Otterbox "redesigned" it by removing a filter like material that covered the mic and speaker - no more echo.
I use the belt clip daily - it's secure, but I wouldn't play hockey wearing it. You can always put the phone in a pocket.

  • IPhone case...what is the best?

What is the best iPhone case out there? I want one that doesn't take away from the elegant design, doesn't collect dust like the silicon cases do, but I want it to be well protected.

I ordered a leather case from Vaja. and like it very much. They offer several styles and quite a few colors. I wanted a case that doesn't cover up the elegant iPhone, but would give it some protection and the ability to clip it to a belt clip when I want to wear it.
Vaja is a bit pricey. I think mine was about $80. It took several weeks to get it as it was custom made in purple leather. More conventional colors may be faster.

The best case, is the one you like the best.  Seriously, how can we answer that?  Everyone has their OWN favorite case.  You need to find yours.  Not to mention we have no idea what phone you have???

  • What is the best protective case for the iPhone 4s?

What is the best protective case for the iPhone 4s? If I drop my phone I don't want it to crack or break. How protective is the Gorrila Glass?

I am using the Otterbox Defender, and it's a great case.
Gorilla glass is a glass applied to phones (not the iPhone, it does not use Corning branded glass), but the iPhone screen is pretty good against scratches.

  • What is the best iPhone 4/4s extended battery case? I've been reading reviews for a bunch of them, but they all seem to say the same thing.

What is the best iPhone 4/4s extended battery case? I've been reading reviews for a bunch of them, but they all seem to say the same thing.

Personally most of my co-workers are using the Mophie case. They are great quality but can be pretty pricey. All of my fellow co-workers have been using this case to help with the upsetting battery drain that comes with ios5. I have seen people drop the the iPhone with this case on and seems to be a good sturdy case with an extra 9 hour battery life. Anyway's here is their web site if you want to look into these cases further.

  • Best iPhone 5 Battery Case

I just ordered an iPhone 5 and was interested in possibly getting a battery case. I had the 4S and unfortunately the battery life really didn't cut it, It would drain in less then 5 hours. (Hopefully the iPhone 5 is better than that to begin with.)
So my question is, what is the best iPhone 5 battery case? I'm looking for something sleek and not too bulky. I took a look at the mophie helium/air but it seems like it makes the phone look outrageously tall.

ive tried a bunch - i actually like the mophie - there are a bunch you can find on amazon - just search uphone 5 battery cases
    ivyskin
    ww,ivyskin.com
makes one that has a detachable battery so you only need to attach the battery when needed - it also has a builtin screen protector - i had one for my 4S and they now have one for the 5 - product is not bad but customer service was awful
a company called third rail mobility
www.thirdrailmobility.com also has a case with a detachable battery (no builtin scren protector)  with thir case you can stack multiple batteries to get more power - of course it makes the case big and heavy - last time i looked they had not yet released their case for the iphone 5 though

  • Best Bumper Case For Verizon iPhone?

What is the best bumper case for the VZW iPhone that is,
    1. Pretty thin, doesn't make the iPhone feel that thicker.
    2. Under $35.
    3. Doesn't cover the back.
    4. Has a sort of front or back lip.
    5. Is good looking and is good quality.
It's a lot of stuff but I'd really appreciate it if you could recommend me some bumpers. Thanks.

What you just described is the apple bumper perfectly. Just go get one of those.

  • For iPhone Case Lovers and their concern of Magnet Closers!!

I recently learned that some have had issues with their iPhone when used with a cases that includes magnets for closing. Sorry mwhitted for your woes.
While looking for a nice case for myself I became concerned of this, and decide to contact Sena about their Dockable iPhone case. This case seemed to be exactly what I was looking for, but after reading mWhitted and a few others problems I wasn't sure.
So I sent them a e-mail with the links and question their knowledge about their product.
This was late last night (about 1:39 am). How about 10:09 in the a.m. I get a response! A Long and thoroughly explained response (read Below).
Great customer service! I am going to give this company a try and see how well this works.
I have included my original e-mail to them and their response by Ronda so that you may judge for yourself.
PS. mWhitted, aparently the case you used may not have had the proper magnets and maybe not assembled appropriately for this phone which may have caused the problem. What do you think, maybe this may have been the cause?
Thanks for the info by the way.
Below is my email to them.

    Subject: Pre-Order Dockable iPhone case
I have looked up many cases for my iPhone and I have found your Dockable one to be just the style and function I am looking for. Although recently there has been a buzz going around that the magnetic closing cases such as these have caused many iPhones to malfunction.
I was curious as to if you had any information on this? I also wanted to send you this so that you may look into this to avoid any potential problems with your sales.
Another question, I would like to know if it would be possible to replace the magnets in this case and apply velcro to it instead as an option for your customers?
As far as the info that I had on the magnets, you can read tease threads from apple support forums for reference.

Subject: Case Update: 1086 - Pre-Order Dockable iPhone case
Update for Case #1086 - "Pre-Order Dockable iPhone case"
We use only non Neodymium magnets that do not interfere with the device. We have done extensive testing with many devices to assure that the magnet use will not harm the internal applications or antenna on the devices which we manufacture cases for. Also we have long created cases for use with the IPOD nano, Ipod 3rd,4th and Ipod Video devices using the non Neodymium magnets in our cases without any interferance at all after selling thousands upon thousands of cases. Sena Cases are designed by Engineers with PhD, they are all handcrafted by skilled craftsmen who have been in the leather industry for many years making them expert leather craftsmen, our cases are not just designed by a purse maker or a designer who is thinking of only fashion and style, because of the engineering focus of the design staff they are detail oriented making sure that each and every feature and function of the device has been addressed and is accessible as well as taking wevery precaution to protect the devices and information which belongs to our loyal customers, and new customers as we hope that each person who finds their way to Sena Cases will become loyal to our products for all devices which they own now and in the future. Because our company's entire focus is PDA, Smartphone and Computer cases Sena Management and Design staff have extensively researched magnets available in the industry and magnetic substrates, with a solid plan to avoid any magnet which would harm any device we have created a case for, So the selection of the magnets available and the possible strengths that we can use are focused on a very limited type and size of magnet, sometimes even shape takes some precidence in the design of certain cases, in regards to the iPhone magnets the staff have created a new installation making the magnet undetectable on the open face of the case so that the form and shape are very sleek and suitable to the high style devbice which is in the Sena Case. Some case makers off shore may just throw a case together without considering future ramifications, These case manufacturers may be selling cases at a lower price point not created out of fine materials or more novelty type accessory cases that are often offered at a bargain price that is unbelievably inexpensive, They may be thinking when creating their own design that " this company and that company use magnets we will to..." this may be how cases get created for devices which may harm the device that they were intended to protect. Sena Cases has taken every precaution to design a slim sleek sexy iphone case that will protect your device in a very stylish fashion throughout the years that you own this expensive device.
I will pass your forum links on to our design staff and the research group as well as our company president for review, Customer feedback is highly valued here at Sena Cases. I assure you that serious research has been done to assure that your iPHONE case will fit precisely allow access to all features and functions and to protect your investment in the device and the information which it contains as you as well as your referrals and your future business is our main focus and if we dint sweat all the little details to attempt to create you a perfect case for your device we could not expect your loyalty to our brand.
We do also stand behind all our products with a one year warranty against any manufacturing defects. The best compliment we can receive is for a customer to refer family, friends, colleagues and strangers that they cross paths with to our cases as your refferral of our product is more valuable to us that a full page color ad in a major magazine, if your happy you will refer many people to our products who will refer their friends and so on and so on....
Stephan, I reccomend that you avoid Neodymium magnets in what ever case you elect to purchase and you will be fine, I am hopefull that you will elect to protect your iPhone in our cases, as we make a fine product as does many competitors in the market, I am not familiar with their designs for this device so I cannot speak openly about any of them, but the iPHONE cases in our office on display as well as future designer cases to be released before the fall are all incredible. Sena Will have some leathers and designs nwever seen before by similar type device owners ever in the past, as our company has searched out new Leather vendors as well as creating our traditional line of stylish Sena cases will be releasing a designer series of cases for iPHONE because the device is phenomonal the design staff and management felt that the cases could also help carry off the devices style in a ddifferent intrepretation.
You will love any of the Sena Cases designs which are available now or in the future., We have had customers stop by and try on the prototype cases which we have photographed and were in love with the look and fit. The sensor on the face of the case has been revised the original case designed before the device was available to accommodate the proximity/light sensors! The sensor lies above the ear piece at the top of the screen. so there will be two circular oval type openings above the screen. These cases are really off the hook, crazy cool and distinctively beautiful, I am hopeful you will enjoy owning one to protect your device.

    OK. Here it is...

"Neodymium magnets are very strong in comparison to their mass..."
    A.K.A. "rare-earth magnetS".
"While most solid state electronic devices are not effected by magnetic fields, some medical devices are not manufactured to mitigate the effects of strong magnetic fields." Maybe phones too?
These could be the ones that I removed from my case:

  • What is the Best iPhone 5 Screen Protector?

What is the Best iPhone 5 Screen Protector? Anyone have any recommendations?

I've used no less than 10 different types of iPhone screen protectors. Most are either difficult to put on (Zagg, invisible shield, etc.) or just plain suck (too thick, bubbles, folds, etc.). The HD are the best covers out there. They are very easy to apply bubble free. They also stay on once applied. Others that go on easy often fold up when a case is applied. This one does not. I use a Speck case which curled the other easy apply protectors but did not curl this one. Great product!
