Best method to upload info type 8 (Basic pay)

Hi Team,
Could you share some information on master data upload for info type 8.
What is the best way to upload the master data info type 8.
when we can GO for BDC and go for LSMW.

You can go for either, but you may need to put in some coding in the LSMW as well. Several of my projects we have always used LSMW.
The fields in IT 0008 are shown in tabular form, but in the back end they are stored as LGA01, LGA02 etc.
Dpedning onyour country, the employees may have anywhere between 1 and 10 wagetypes in It 0008, it is very very unusual to have more than 10 wagetypes in It 0008,
So your data collection template will have ten columns for the wagetypes, and the first column will get loaded in LGA01 and second in LGA02 and so forth.
this is just a a high level idea, the spreadsheet will become more complex if some of the wagetypes are amounts and others are unmbers/units. also if there are diffent set of wagetypes for different employee groups.

I'm trying to upload data into Basic Pay Infotype 0008 Using LSMW Subtype 0(Basic Contract). While we are trying to input values into ANSAL(Annual Salary) field directly using default wage type as 1000.
We are gettting a error in function module RP_ANSAL_FROM_WAGETYPES.
and eventhough we are inputting values into ANSAL field it is taking it as 0.00 by default .

sort by your output type. you will get all documents with that output type.

If you have a legacy system in place with most of the data - then LSMW is the most preferred route. Check this message -Re: SAP MASTER DATA
Using BDC will be the recommended approach in other scenarios. Please make sure that you are manually able to create a recipe the way you want in the system and design the BDC accordingly (Rules: At least one operation/phase mandatory; PV is created first, etc).
Also, you can explore eCATT scripts - could not find a suitable thread with the detailed steps - but that is an option too.

Modify ZTABLE FROM TABLE IT_TAB. " < IT_TAB has 13K records
IT_TAB must be the same as ZTABLE.
IT_tab-mandt must be filled also.

What's the best way to upload a site for a client?

I am creating a website for my 1st client and I am wondering what the best method to uploading it for their viewing is. The site is not ready to be fully uploaded so I can't load it to the url. How else can you send it somewhere for the client to view? Any help would be greatly apprecaited!

Default wagetype in Basic pay infotype that depends on payscale type

Hi,
Just want to ask if there's a way to default different wagetypes in basic pay infotype that depends on person's pay grade area and pay grade type? Defaulting means I will not choose the wagetype in the pay group but when i choose a specific pay grade area and pay grade type the system will automatically populate the wagetype in basic pay infotype. I've tried using feature LGMST and table V_T539A but this way it is limited to employee subgroup and not by pay grade area and pay grade type.

ISSUE in basic pay arrears wage type for new joiners

Hi Experts,
I am facing an unusual issue as after executing payroll for new joiners from previous month(example: joining date 25.01.2015 & payroll execution date:28.02.2015) results not reflecting arrears wage types of basic pay but reflects /552 wage type and /ZF5 PF arrears wage type.
But this issue is not happening in case of salary revision or other action which affects salary from retro date ie. basic pay arrears wage types are reflecting in RT table.
Already analyzed similar existing discussions in the forum.
Kindly help me to get it resolved.

As mentioned earlier check the parameters for payslip to bring the arrears on payslip, For your reference check the below image where similar case employee is joined in the month of January and payroll is executed in the month of Feb with arrears same wage types will appear on payslip this is standard functionality of SAP you can find out in the image with * with out * * indicates arrears.
let assume your basic pay is XXXX when arrears are there then another line appears with *XXXX indicates arrears similar to your case joined in the month of January and payroll executed in the month of February then one month arrears appear on payslip like above for each wage type.
This is completely integrated with payslip design and PC00_M40_CEDT parameters which we are using for Remuneration statement variant.

in Basic pay there is no any wage type copy Non taxable Wage type but Additional Payments there is one Copy Wage type name is "M400 Non taxable payment"
i check the all config related setting related to M400 non taxable payment
can i copy in Basic Pay any wage type & create new wage type (xyz)
& i change all setting eg processing class & all is similar in (XYZ) =M400
its is ok or not

Best method for initial upload data into CRM

could someone tell me what is the best and fastest method to upload a mass of data (11 mio. BPs) to CRM? Now i am not sure. I thought you have to do that through the CRM middleware. Now i read you can do this also via IDOC. Which method should i use to do this? What about LSMW?

Hello Ming,
Could you tell us where is the Mass Data of BP located?
Are you trying to upload the data from R/3 to CRM? or from legacy systems?
If its from legacy or non-R/3 systems then LSMW is the best approach.
But if its from R/3 to CRM, then better approach would be via MW since once initial load is performed using txn:R3AS,
subsequent delta changes would flow down automatically to CRM.

1) The WT needs to be added to WT Model and LGMST Feature
2) IF India, thn it also need to be added in Allowance Grouping and A9 table.
3) can u tel mewhat do u mean by "We want the this wage type to be included in a calculation which is inturn update another wage type".
do u mean, say XXXX=200 u assign in IT8, then calculate YYYY=XXXX/20 ? for such kind of calculation u can use INVAL B in V_T511 table, and this can be achived at Infotype maitnaince level only.
But, if u want this to happen at Paryoll Process level, you may then need to use some PCR's. this is not adivisable until unless there is no alternative.

Are those 3 WTs in IT0008 indirectly valuated (through Salary Grids in T510) or do they require manual input of the amount (direct valuation) ?
Ans Wage type calculation rule already defined,only we have to put wages standard amount in basic pay infotype. for all employees.It will diectly calculated amount according to their attendance data
Are those 3 WTs always in the same position (ie. Lines 2, 5 & 7) in the IT0008 of all the employees ?
Ans:Yes, they are in same line(4,5,8,9) and positions for all employees.

Likely the easiest approach is to use SNMP traps from one router to another. See https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3713232#3713232 for an example.

When bouncing- what's best method for smallest file size/highest quality?

I am in the process of embedding 3 mp3's into a PDF to submit as a portfolio. The PDF also has text, and two scores included, and with the 3 embedded mp3's it can't be more than 10mb.
So my question is: When bouncing a project out of Logic, what is the best method for getting the smallest file size, but retaining the best audio quality? And once it's out of Logic and it is an mp3 or other type of audio file, is there a best format for compressing it further, and still maintaining the relative quality?
I bounced out the three projects into wav's. Now I am using Switch for Mac to compress them down to smaller Mp3's. I basically need them to be about 3 mb each. Two of the recordings sound OK at that size, but they are just MIDI(one project is piano and string quartet, the other is just piano- all software instruments. The recording that combines MIDI and Audio and has more tracks (three audio tracks and 10 Midi/software instrument tracks)and sounds completely horrible if I get it under 5 mb as an mp3. The problem is that I need all three to equal around 9mb, but still sound good enough to submit as a portfolio for consideration into a Master's program.
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Please be detailed in your response, because I am new to logic and I really need the step by step.

The highest bitrate that falls within your limits. You'll have to calculate how big your MP3's can be, then choose the bitrate that keeps the size within your limit. The formula is simple: bitrate is the number of kilobits per second, so a 46 second stereo file at 96 kbps would be 96 x 46 = 4416 kbits / 8* = 552 kBytes or 0.552 MB. (*8 bits = 1 Byte)
So if you know the length of your tracks you can calculate what bitrate you need to keep it within 10 MB total.
I consider 128 kbps the lowest bearable bitrate for popsongs and other modern drumkit based music. Deterioration of sound quality is often directly related to the quality of the initial mix and the type of instruments used in it. Piano(-like) tones tend to sound watery pretty quickly at lower bitrates, as do crash and ride cymbals. But don't take my word for it, try it out.
And once it's out of Logic and it is an mp3 or other type of audio file, is there a best format for compressing it further, and still maintaining the relative quality?
You can only ZIP the whole thing after that, but that is just for transport. You'll have to unzip it again to use it. And no, you cannot compress an MP3 any further and still play it.

That is silly, you could have done that in Logic, which has one of the best MP3 encoders built in. And how good encoders are will especially come out at bitrates around or below 128, which you might be looking at.

So, one more scrap of info we need here: how long are those three pieces, exactly? I'll calculate the bitrate for you - but please bounce 'm directly out of Logic as MP3's. They will very probably sound better than your WAV-conversions made with Switch.
