To be honest, I can't tell you specifically why Google won't work in landscape mode - but I have some good suggestions.
1. Delete your Google App, and redownload it - and make sure you've chosen the version for iPad. This fixes the problem for most users.
2. Use an alternate app, like Safari (which has loads more features) or Chrome, both for iPad. And the search results are exactly alike.

Bring Back New Films This Week.

Recently the catagory New This Week has been removed from the Films section of On Demand.
Please put it back.
The whole browsing system is slow, unresponsive and bloated. This section was the only decent way to find new content... Why would it be removed?

BT you need to bring this option back I noticed it had vanished aswell!. Do you realy expect us to navigate through every single categorie list each week just to find the new ones?? seriously!.
If its a legal thing using the word "New" then just change it to "Recently added" or something. Also remove 'The Thing' from free movies because its actually a paid movie and misleading to anyone browsing the FREE movie section.
I also noticed in the free movie section that they added a lot of box office/premium content links which feels like your trying to make us goto that section and "accidentally" pay for premium movies without realising it. If I wanted to view box office movies I would have gone to the box office section!.
What is going on????

TS3274 My daughters ipad has stopped downloading new apps, we tried to download some new ones this week and they are just showing as "waiting", we deleted all her games to see if it was a memory issue but they are still showing as waiting.

We have tried to download some new free games for my daughter this week, there are three which are just showing as "waiting" and not downloading at all and its been almost a week.
I deleted all her previous games thinking it might somehow free them up but it has not helped.
please help i am getting nagged!

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

No new films this week & sony?

Been waiting all day for some new films to be added to film club but nothing seems to have been added :\ ..no new films this morning...no new films this afternoon and as of now 11:40pm still no new films. Where are the new films? lol
On a side note the Sony film section now has only 4 films in it which will all have expired by November 20th which means no films will be in it in a few weeks time. The sony film section hasnt been updated in months have BT lost contract with them or something?
Service is getting really bad..seriously.

I think there are new (recycled) films today .... Six of the seven advertised (new this week) Warner films are available on my black box new look system. The one missing movie is Innerspace.

I bought a new iMac this week but am struggling with the WiFi as it intermittently drops. I have an HP notebook in the same room without any problems. It keeps on "looking for networks" it then connects and drops and starts again.

I am connected to the internet but it keeps on dropping all the time, same with my email accounts. Other hardware is running well without any issues. I have gone through the Wi_Fi faultfinding tree but still the same. I have also spoken to a Apple sales consultant in the store that suggested the software be reloaded which could be the case but I doubt. Any ideas?????

Okay i got a new laptop this week. i downloaded it to my new computer. sadly i cant put my music on it and i cant figure out why. The songs that i purchase off itunes i could download on but i cant find away to get my other songs?

FCP4 is not supported as it is a Power PC app, but if you install FCS3 from the install discs, FCS3 (FCP7) should work.
Migrating the pro apps is not recommend as a best practice, but it is done.
60 GB of free space on your system drive is not a good idea, having about 20% free is usually about as little as recommended.
FCP-X uses a completely new editing paradigm, some like it, some don't. There is nothing similar about the way one edits with FCP-X and editing in Final Cut Pro, and your legacy projects that were created in Final Cut are not directly useable in FCP-X. There are third party apps that are available that will convert FCP legacy projects into FCP-X useable files, but there are limitations.

Premiere is much more similar to editing in FCP 7 and earlier than FCP-X is. You can even switch the keyboard short cuts in Premiere to the same shortcuts used in FCP.

Re Download FCP X to new mac next week?

Just wondering if FCP X app is linked to your iTunes account. So if I buy a new Mac this week can I re download it at no cost as long as it is on my itunes account?

I believe the Mac App store allows you to download your copy to as many as you like as long as you don't use it on more than one at once (thats a pro-app restriction I think)

Best way to Create New projects in FM9 RH8?

Hi, I just finished doing this exact project. I found that the
discrepancies between my old style sheet and the new one caused
strange font changes that I could not account for.
Instead, I copied and pasted the css from the old project into the new
RHStyleMappings.css file. I then saved the settings to a neutral place
on the drive.
Once this is done, I create a new project in RH8, do the project
settings first, importing the settings into the new project.
I then import the book by reference.
This seems to work best.
I still have some questions about this:
What does the FM template have to do with it? Where does this come
from? Can I link to any file, as long as it contains the most recent
styles? Why does the .isf save this template? Since it does, does it
also save the location of that template? If so, do I need checkmark
the link every time I create a new project and import the settings?
Finally, does the .isf file contain the RHSettings.css as well? Or
does the .css need to be co-located with the .isf?
I will probably find the answers out to most of these questions soon,
but if you have ideas I would like to hear them.

I would just like to talk about the possible usage of FM template

2. We can use any Document(which is part of the whole book we need to
import/link or at least has all the FM styles used that will be used in the

in the document will apper in the conversion setting dialog and you can use
thes eto define all your mapping or setting for these styles
            This is a workaround to enable style mapping and settings
mapping without linking/importing the actual document.
the location of the template used is not saved rather the actual template
document is saved in the setting.isf file
so the anotomy of settings.isf file is it contains
   a. All the settings or mapping that we defined
   b. the CSS file used for mapping (default RHStyleMapping.css)
   c. The FM template used .
and you need to check the check box after you import the .isf file if you
want to apply this template on the Linked FM book/document or any Import in
future !

Best method to copy slide audio to new project ?

I have a project made up of multiple slides.
Each slide has its own audio.
I need to update the project (resize and update slide images) but the audio does not need to be changed.
Rather than record the narration for each slide again, I am planning to copy the audio of each slide from the old project (export) to the new project (import). Audio of slide 1 of old project gets attached to slide 1 of new project etc.
Any suggestions as to the best way to do this bearing in mind I have multiple slides each with their own audio and I need to ensure I attach the right audio file to the new version of the slide it was copied from.

Hi Noel,
Can only explain what would be my method in that case. All audio clips will be found in the library, but they have a not very descriptive name. I would identify them and change the name (if they have to go to the same slide number, just put the slide number in it). Then in the new project I would open the old as an external Library (File, import, external library) and drag the audio clips to the proper slides. External libraries are so little known, but I use them all the time (have a set of often used assets in separate project files that I only use as external libraries)

PS just did see the official answer from the staff, but please, rename your clips there as well or you will not be able to identify them. In the original file you can look for the clip in the Library from each slide

Any work you do in Lightroom is in the catalog. It is impossible to use Lightroom without a catalog.
In addition, your photos are filed in a specific location, which is determined when you import the photos (this may be a location you have specified or it may be the default location chosen by Lightroom).
So ... unless you specifically choose to delete your photos, your photos have not been deleted. To find them, open Lightroom and select File->Open Recent and select each catalog shown there until you find the one with your 170 photos.
And now ... a word to the wise: as gvb279 and Keith said, you absolutely need to stop doing whatever it is you are doing and learn the basics of Lightroom. You are clearly in need of such basic understanding. What Happened?
No way for us to know. But if your system was crashing, there definitely was a problem. The FCE error message you got normally indicates the FCE project file has been corrupted. This probably happened due to whatever caused your system to crash & shutting down the system.
First, make sure your system is running correctly. Then, use the Finder to navigate to /users/yourusername/Documents/Final Cut Express Documents/Autosave Vault and find the most recent backup copy of your FCE project file. Copy the file to your Final Cut Express Documents folder (copy the file, don't just move it). Then double-click the copy to open it in FCE. It should open ok, but will probably not have your most recent edits (transitions). You may have to rebuild the transitions, but at least you will be back in action.

I have the following Problem with my Final Cut Express: When I try to open a project i get an error message: "The file format is too new for this version of the program". (my FCE is in german, this is the google translation!)
I have already erased all the rendering files, but no luck.
Please Help!

Have you recently reinstalled FCE and forgotten to update it?
