Best photo sharing app

What does everyone use to share photos online?
The Facebook and Flickr apps are iPhone only and really aren't very good on iPad, not sure I believe that Picasa is going to have a very long life, Google Plus is too new.
What is the general consensus? I'm new to Apple but this year got my and wife both iPhones, an iPad and a Mac book pro 13 so I'm trying to soot it the way that is most typical... And figuring it out along the way.
Thanks

You can try iFlickr or iPicasa.

  • Best photo sharing site to use with aperture?

what is the best photo-sharing site to use with aperture?
    flickr and flickr export?
or are there more capable alternatives?
is there any solution to sync tags and keywords between aperture and the photo sharing site?
    thanks for any advice

i was wondering what the best service is in combination with aperture, the best service on its own for me is flickr, i like there online interface a lot.
so there is no way to have the same functionality with aperture as with iphoto from ilife08?
the demo on the .mac website shows they simply upload a gallery to .mac web gallery like here: http://gallery.mac.com/emily_parker
now when i export a web gallery from aperture its just a stupid web page with none of the interactive functions of a web gallery
but unless aperture can publish to .mac like iphoto can i will probably stick with flickr, flickr export for aperture seems also the most capable plug in for the moment compared to the export plugins for smugmug or other services.
i was really hoping to be able to use .mac like advertised with iphoto or have someone here suggest some other great service to use with aperture, i would especially like to be able to sync keywords both ways.

  • Name of photo sharing app

Anyone know the name of the photo sharing app featured on Apple's iPad page?

It is neither as I have both. I don't think it is an Apple app. The app is on the ipad on the right side of the ad photo at http://www.apple.com/ipad/why-ipad-retina/

  • What is the best photo editing app

I use Snapseed, but it seems slower and shuts itself off at random since Google bought it. What photo editing app has anyone found especially good.
Do any apps have the spot adjustments like Snapseed?

  • My best photo-video app for iPhone6, anything better ?

    Hi guys,
these are the best apps I found (both ipad and iphone), do you know anything better and with some more "professional like" features (e.g.: custom k° white balance) ?
    Photo: PureShot (by Michael Hardaker)
Why: Max quality jpeg (lowest compression possible), Tiff format, histogram, highlight clipping indicator, shadow clipping indicator, manual ISO, manual shutter speed, ISO priority, Shutter priority and many other features.
    Videos: Videon
Why: Custom picture size, frame rate, aspect ratio, video editor with very valid color correction and color grading tools.
    Thanks

If you copied photos to your iPod using the full resolution option you don't need a 3rd party program. Enable disk use, open your iPod in "my computer", open the photos folder then open the "full resolution" folder and drag the photos out of that folder to your desktop. For enabling disk use look here.
    Disk Use.
As for other programs, I don't know if this is the "best", but it's one I've used successfully before.
Copy photos from iPod to a Mac.

  • Best photo sharing sites?

This is not an iweb question per se but I'm making a group site where I want members to be able to upload and download photos. Obviously without iWeb they won't be able to do this. So I thought about embedding a shared web photo site, a la Flickr, into my iWeb page.
I'd like to know about other web-based shared photo sites other than Flickr. What do you recommend?

I use Smugmug for my husband's photography business. You can customize the site to match your own. It was a challenge to make it match my iWeb template, but I did it
Here it is, as an example:
    Our main site
The smugmug portion of our site
I have also seen people use Gallery, which I believe is something you set up on your own server but I am not totally sure on that.

  • Photo Sharing App

Our company has 70 sites.  What I am looking for is an app that would allow for mulitple employees to upload photo's from their iPhones to the app and also let each of us the ability to view using one password and username.  Our goal is to upload image photo's and types of equipment at each location.
I appreciate the help in advance.

You can try iFlickr or iPicasa.

  • Best photo editing for mac

Is there a "best" photo editing app for mac that may do a little more than iphoto? I'm interested in helping my photos to look a little better as far as lighting, contrast, etc. but not fake stuff like photoshop effects. I'm a newbie at this. Maybe I should just stick with iphoto?
    Thanks for any advice.

    Try these:
    Pixelmator
    Gimp
    Photoshop Elements

  • Can Apple Employees hack my iCloud/iMessage/iTunes/Private Apps/Photo Sharing?

Can Apple Employees hack my iCloud/iMessage/iTunes/Private Apps/Photo Sharing? I was recently in the Apple Store and was asked for my Apple Id/password, and to enter it onto the stores iPad. Coincidently, my email associated with my Apple ID was hacked, and numerous times a day I will be asked for my Apple ID password for iMessage and iCloud. I finally changed my email and password for APPLE ID and now literally every 45 seconds a screen for iCloud pops up. What can be accessed using my iTunes account? I had personal and private data including bank accounts, photos, location enabled GPS for most apps. Is it possible that an Apple employee (with good reason) could get a hold of this information??

We have become familiar faces since I go into the Apple Store and we know some of the same people through mutual friends. Everything I know about her she has told me, and mostly just innocent conversation at the apple store. I'm not going to report someone is stalking me if I dont know for a FACT that she is stalking me. It didnt catch my attention until a few friends who don't know her, just the situation started noticing it. I changed my apple ID so hopefully it stops, but like I said - it came to the point of being too frequent to be a coincidence. I guess re-routing back to my original question ....... Can an Apple Employee hack into my account and download the apps under my Apple ID and use my iMessage, iCloud, ect.... I don't understand why it is such a secret! its either a yes or no question. I don't feel comfortable knowing that I have had devices (not my own) that have been granted permission for iMessage (I received the notification on my ipad that another ipad had turned on imessage under my apple ID), and at the time I was not aware that someone would desire the need to log into my account to read my imessages - or could actually do it? I'm very very secretive about passwords, and would not even write on the forum about this if I didn't think it were possible. I appreciate all of your responses, I truely do but this has been going on since before March when I first created the post so understandably its been on the back of my mind for quite some time!

  • What's the best Bluetooth file sharing app for iPhone

I'm trying to find a good BT file sharing app for an iPhone 5. I've noticed that the iPhone 5 won't even detect devices such as other phones or computers with BT but seems to have no issue with BT accessories such as satnav. My iPod touch has no problem detecting any BT device which seems odd.
So, is there a good BT file sharing app availble for an iPhone 5?

You won't find any Bluetooth File Sharing app that will work with non-iOS devices. That is something iOS simply does not support.

  • Photo sharing doesn't work, no folders, sorting, limit amount, waiting for library

I promised my wife that I would make a solution for us to view our photo collection on TV.
So I bought a Synology DS411Slim and copied all our photo's from all our computers to this NAS, and bought an AppleTV.
Then I shared some photo folders from the iTunes on my MacBook.
This worked for the first time and we could browse the photo's, super cool.
But then I added a folder, it took a while for AppleTV to sync the library, but after that I could not find the folder.
It was not sorted on name, it was the last folder in the list!
Then I changed the iTunes photo share folder, but now the AppleTV doesn't finish the reading of the library.
I started to read the web about photo sharing problems, and I found that there are really a lot of complaints about this basic functionality.
Viewing photo's on your AppleTV is one of the first things that you want to do imho, I'm not interested searching for photo's on Flickr,
I want my own photo's, and I want to see the folders.
I really don't understand this from Apple, what do I tell my wife?
    Bart
p.s. I also installed iOS beta 6, but no improvements on the photo sharing..

Bart, did you get any further with this issues? I have the same situation here :
    Situation:
I store my Pictures (8K) and Music on a DS212j equipped with 7200RPM.
I reference my iTunes to this NAS and have done a consolidated files on the NAS.
I homeShare on itunes the shared folders on the NAS with 8K pics.
Want to see and hear all that on my Apple TV.
    The problem:
Apple TV Music Library over Itunes works flawlessly. GOOD
XBOX 360 access the pictures on NAS via DLNP and works flawlessly. GOOD
iPhone through Synology Photo apps get through all Pictures. GOOD
Apple TV Pictures Library over iTunes : dont get out of loading libraries! NOT GOOD
    The Question:
Since everything works with the NAS (Music with iTunes, Pictures with Xbox and iPhone), what is going wrong with the Pictures Library of Apple TV through iTunes?
The NAS vs The External Drive
I often see answer saying NAS is not the best place to share photo, but  reality is that it will be more and more ofenly use since it is a good solution for a family with grewing pictures library and Apple TV should manage it...
1- I dont use external drive on a Portable MacBook Pro
2- wife and kids just dont want to touch an external Hard drive!
3-... And Xbox read it from NAS flawlessly... ThereFore, it should work on the Apple Tv.
    Thanks,
    Christian
P.S. It seem not recommanded putting iPhoto Library on the NAS. (See post from Terence Devlin)

  • Photo Sharing in iWeb.

Why is it that you can only lock the photo sharing for a photos page and not a welcome page or a blog page? This is stupid. You should be able to lock all photos if you want. Why has Apple disable this feature for a Welcome or a Blog page? There are photos one can use on those types of pages that can be equally pirated, and I don't like any of my photos being shared, no matter what size they are. I want the control of NOT sharing any of them.

There is no way to prevent anyone from getting a copy of a photo that's in a web page. The photos page just prevents downloading the photo files that were used in the slideshow but not from making a screenshot of them`.
Any screenshot of a photo will be at the pixel dimension as seen on the screen and 72 dpi resolution and can be printed as a quality photo only at a very small size.
The best way to show ownership of a photo is to put a watermark on each photo like this example . It was done with Photoshop. There are a number of watermarking applications available. Go to VersionTracker.com and search for "watermark" to get a list of possible candidates.

  • I currently have iPhoto on my new 27" 17, iMac. What is the best photo editing software. I have photo shop elements on my previous mac which I liked many features.

I currently have an imac 27", i7.  I have iphoto on this computer. What is the best photo editing software to purchase or download?
On my previouw mac I had Photo Shop Elenemts and Photoshop CS3. Both of the later had features that I liked.
I am an amatuer family photographer; What is the best photo editing software. I do not think I need the power and confusion of full version photoshop.

I take it you are looking for replacements for the apps you used on a previous Mac?
I do not have Photoshop Elements, so I do not know about compatibility. But this site will tell you:
    http://roaringapps.com
Photoshop CS3 does run in OS 10.9.1. (I use it just about everyday.) You do not have to give it up.
And there is Gimp, which is free and powerful.
