Best place to ask java security questions?
I know this is a weird question to ask here but every java security forum I've found is very sparsely populated. There are almost no very-knowledgeable people in those forums and it's hard to get answers, let alone timely ones. So I was wondering where everyone here thinks is the best, most populated java security forum, blog, or whatever to get java security info and questions answered.
You might try the J2EE ("Java EE") however security is seldom a general purpose category.
Setting up tomcat securely is significantly different than using SSL with sockets. Both are security issues but significantly different.
And java developers as a group are seldom going to be that knowledgable anyways. Someone might spend a year writing GUIs but only spend a week figuring out how to make the server secure. I would be very surprised to find anyone that spends time here and yet spends a significant amount of their work time dealing with different security issues and varying setups.

So I am a print designer with very little experience with html, css, etc. I have a client who has a programmer building a site for them that is running into some techincial issues in regards to what can be done using html 5. Does anyone have any suggestion on where I could ask specific question in regards to html 5? I know this is the DW forums, but the html 5 forums here look pretty dead so I figured this migth be a good place to ask where to go. And if you say here, then I will just repost with a more specific question.

Anyways, this is one of my larger clients, so hopefully I can help them out. BTW, not looking to find out how it can be done, just if it can be done. The site in question lets the end user upload a large file and do a small bit of design to it. It then outputs to my client for printing. The issue is that it is really very slow becasue they are large files to start with. So is there a way to write code that would temporarily replace that large file with a small version, then reinsert it at the end of the process for printing. If you are familiar with ID or AI think of it simialr to linked low res version that then gets replaced with a high res version.
Strangley enough, it wasnt just me that suggested this to my client. Apparently his hosting company made the same susgguestion earlier on the same day. If was just me I would have probably just dropped it and said okay, that just isnt posible rigth now. But when the same suggestion comes from the hosting as well it makes me think maybe it can be done. -
I have an iPhone and recently bought an iPod 4 touch what l am using the same apple ID for. The iPod won't let me download songs from iTunes it is asking me security questions which I don't think I have put answers to in the first place, because of this it won't let me buy any songs on iTunes
It's probably asking you to verify the security code found on the back of your credit card.

You can edit or delete your rescue email address at My Apple ID. To edit your rescue email address:
Navigate to My Apple ID using your web browser.
Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.
Note: The option to send an email to reset your security questions and answers will not be available if a rescue email address is not provided. You will need to contact iTunes Store support in order to do so.

They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I am trying to purchase an app and when I try to it tells me to login. When I log in it ask me security questions which I don't even remember the answers to. I put, "forgot answers" and it says, "we can help you reset your security information by sending a message to your rescue email address: [email protected]" I only have one email and thats on Yahoo. i still click send email button and it tells me to check my email but i dont recieve anything. please help me
That's not a good sign if it said it was going to send it to an email address you've never heard of. Contact iTunes Support and let them know this: http://apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

I cannot download certain games because I do not recall the answers to my security questions when it asks if I am 17 years or older. In fact, I do not even recall being asked these security questions.
I tried to guess logical answers but now my iPad is threatening to lock me out. My second email is no longer in use as it has not been used for years and has seemingly expired.
Can you please help?If you don't have access to your rescue email account, or you don't have one on your account (an alternate/secondary email address is a different setting/address), then you will need contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset (you won't be able to change/add a rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions)
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'

It's a security feature that was brought in a few months ago - when you try to purchase something for the first time on a new computer or device then you will be asked for the answers to your questions (or to set them up if you haven't yet created them).
