Best place to specify module load
Hi all, I am having problems lately with the network modules. I have an nforce2 board with integrated network hardware and a realtek network card, and now and then the integrated interface stops working, so I have switched to the external to avoid the nuissance.
But it raises a question that has been looming for a time (with all these changes in initrd, etc.): What is the best or appropriate place for specifying module load? /etc/rc.conf, /etc/mkinitrd.conf, /etc/modprobe.conf?
The recommended way to load modules is to make sure /etc/rc.conf has
MOD_AUTOLOAD="yes"
so that the modules required by your system are detected and loaded automatically. If you have some unusual hardware that escapes autodetection, or some undetected modules that require boot-time loading, they should be listed in rc.conf MODULES.
mkinitrd.conf is used to specify the modules required to allow your system to boot, and modprobe.conf allows you to fine-tune module loading by setting aliases, module options, or additional install commands.

We are getting an error while trying to create an Universe via Microsoft -> MS Analysis Services 2014 -> OLEDB for OLAP Provider under Connection in UDT -"DBD: Error while trying to load the transport provider for odbc. Failed to load the library. System error: The specified module could not be found." We have installed BI 4.1 SP05 in our system. As per earlier posts in scn in BO XI 3.x this issue used to be for improper installation of Integration KIT but in our scenarion Integration KIT is within the BO 4.1 package so no seperate installation is required. Moreover I have checked whether all the driver is present under file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer\drivers" and seems everything is fine. But still I am getting this error. One important point is we could use IDT because in IDT still we don't have option to connect with 'Microsoft Analysis Services - 2014 (XMLA)' as we are using Microsoft Analysis Services 2014 version.
Kindly help if anyone has faced the same problem with SAP BO 4.1.

The problem is solved now after installing "OLEDB drivers from SQL Server 2012 Feature Pack". We had OLEDB drivers that comes directly from SQL Server but that did not worked out in our case.

I have a asp.net web application running on windows server 2008 with oracle server 10g installed.
now we are planning to run application on another server with same server as database server. but when the deployed on new server the login page comes up and after login System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'OraOps10.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E) exception is thrown. any help would highly be appreciated.Did you run the ODAC installer, OUI or xcopy, or did you just copy over Oracle.DataAccess.dll to the new machine? If the latter, then you need to run the installer to put in all the necessary Oracle DLLs ODP.NET references.

Best place to load Images in applet game
Sorry for the double post but I just realised I originally posted this in completely the wrong forum!

I have made a fairly basic game of 21/BlackJack and was wondering where the best place to load the card Images is/was...
Currently I am loading the images into an Image[ ] in the applet class, but was thinking maybe the loading should be done in the deck or card class?
In the applet class I use an ordered version of the deck to assign the cards in the image[ ], then to call an image I generate an index number based on the current cards value and suit....
However this method means I have to create an instance of the deck in the main program, whereas before I had it as a private member of the dealer class, so only the dealer could access it (which seems "safer", no?)
So would a better idea be to have a loadImage() method in the deck class, which populates an Image[ ] with the cards and pass this to the main program?

Loading images is slow so you only want to do it once... maybe when you generate the deck ... and "image" is definately an attribute of the card, yes... I'd actually implement the loadImage() as a method in the card class so set a private image variable... and then get the the dealer to call the loadImage method for each card as "he" builds the deck.
But that's just how I would do it... and I'm no guru so don't take it as gospel... I'd be surprised if there wasn't atleast one "purer" way of doing it. -
I am using intermec printer (directly loading to the printer no system used for printing) for this program and if i run this,i'm getting this below error

The error is because the app tried to import that driver but it was not found. So, you will need
to recheck your project setup, provide locations for imports, etc. I am not familar with Intermec Printer.
The code snippet does not show any information about the DLL import, check there too.

3. New connection - SQL Server Compact 3.5 - Northwind.sdf
4. Highlight Products and Suppliers.
5. Drag both onto Win form
6. Run with debug
7. Error message "Unable to load DLL 'sqlceme35.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)"
some blogs advice change dir in SQL Server Compact 3.5 in regedit but regedit doesn't even have SQL Server Compact 3.5; only SQL Server\SQLExpress.
reinstall SQL Server Compact 3.5 and problem still exists.

I developed a window application in VS2005 and want to import a dll file from another program into my project and use it. But when I try to call one of the function in the dll file, I got the error message "Unable to load dll 'elev.dll". I try all options that say it works to solve this problem, but somehow it doesn't work for me. I put the "elev.dll" file in the bin folder and use P/Invoke to import the dll file into my project. Can anyone help me out with this? thanks and really appreciated!

Hi! I am new here and really need your help. We have a few Lenovo T400 notebooks. If I want to install Windows XP Prof with SP3 I always get this error dialog during GUI mode setup 9 Min. before finishing.

Sorry, we use Windows XP SP3 with this hotfix included. All of our other hardware which needs this hotfix too works fine with SP3. -
[SOLVED]Get [FAIL] when loading user specified modules.
That is it, when the system is booting i get a [FAIL] message when loading user specified modules after upgrading udev, and the kmod new module handling or something as say in the news. I dont have a modprobe.conf or a modprobe.conf.pacsave file either and creating a modprobe.conf file doesn't solve the problem. The strange thing is that the modules are loaded anyways. I mean the ones that are specified in rc.conf. I dont know if the system [FAIL] to load that modules or others...The system works fine for now too.

I've tried everything I know how to do. I just spent 45 minutes on the phone with Microsoft, was transferred four times and finally told I will have to use the forums to find an answer. I'm almost completely out of patience with this.
I got the software through the Dream Spark program as a student. I installed it with the web installer and it appeared to install fine. When I try to create a new project, I get the error: "Error writing the project file. The

When I exit the application, I also get: "The automatically saved settings file 'c:\users\user\documents\visual studio 2013\Settings\CurrentSettings-2015-02-02.vssettings' is not available for write. You can change this file on the 'Import

I initially got the Error -2032 message after downloading the newest version of itunes. I read a geek blog that said to uninstall Quicktime and I did that a bunch of times. I also uninstalled and reinstalled itunes repeatedly. None of this works. I noticed that the apple website said the requirements for the new quicktime/itunes download included an intel processor and I have a celeron processor, so I wondered if that was the problem, although everything has been running fine up until now, so I don't know. It also doesn't address the missing .dll file, but I may have accidentally deleted that because I went into the registry to try and unload some Quicktime files when I uninstalled Quicktime. I did this at the suggestion of the blog, but I may have screwed it up. Now I need to repair the missing .dll and still try to get itunes running

dboraslib.dll is properly installed - I checked the registry and physical location of the file.
The problem was : Environment variable "Path" not being set properly for the "oracle jre".
Solution:
After setting the path, the dispatcher started to run properly without any problems.
Path=<Drive>\oracle\ora92\bin;<Drive>\Program files\Oracle\jre\1.3.1\bin; <Drive>\Program files\Oracle\jre\1.1.8\bin

Error message @ Win 7 Pro start up "There was a problem starting C:\programdata\ofpviaowu.dat - The specified module could not be found."
This error message appears every time I start (boot) my computer and windows starts (Firefox is not running at start up). Firefox 15.01 functions properly otherwise.
This started after I installed the 15.0.1 patch.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but the problem remains. Google search for "ofpviaowu.dat" came up with "2012-08-29 Firefox Release 15 Startup Crash Report" as the only listing.

There are other factors that may be considered when deciding where to put CUA. For example:
Are you using Indirect Assignment of roles also? If so, then simplicity would say, put the CUA on the same system as the HR module (saves having to ALE over the PD object -> Role relationships to different CUA system).
High availability - normally your ECC system would have the highest availability due to the critical nature and impact on business, so it would make sense to put it on your ECC system if this is the leading factor.
What is your role integration strategy like? I know some clients that have excellent integration across all systems such that a 'role' is defined as all of the access that you require inclusive of all SAP systems, and LDAPs. If this is the case, then you can have a single CUA system. Assign ONE composite role to the user, which then provisions out single roles to all of the other SAP systems (including non-prod) and synchronises with your LDAP. If your role integration is not as 'good' as this, then you may consider having two CUA systems. One for the prod systems, and the other for the non-prod systems. -

I'm looking for the best practice identifying ERT modules with SAP / IS-Utilities (electricity).
Here's the physical device set up :
The ERT modules are internal to the electricity meter. They're integrated into a multi purpose electronic circuit. So they can't be remove physically as a separate device.
The ERT modules are used to transmit data from the meter to a radio frequency receiver (handheld or drive-by). The main data that is transmitted is the consumption reading. So the receiver stores the ERT module number and the reading value.
They may be one or more ERT modules in a single meter, and each ERT module transmit his own specific consumption reading (energy reading, demand reading, etc...).
Each ERT module has is own manufacturer number.
My issue is :
To find a way to identify in IS-U the ERT module within the meter's register group (or somewhere else???) in order to relate each register to his ERT module number.
The purpose of all this is to create reading orders with the ERT module number following for each register.
This way we can match, using a unique key, each reading order and his corresponding reading value uploaded from the radio frequency receiver (handheld or drive-by).

BI has got a separate tool and GUI to perform all the Extract, Transform and load related activities. ABAP is part of BI but you don't need much extensive ABAP learning. Basic ABAP is sufficient to write routines and extractors.
3) How is a BI system to configure as default after installation?
May be a BASIS person can help you out here about the configuration but this is not the job of BI person.
4) Good guides (e/books) to learn ABAP and ABAP OO (as far as possible oriented on the practive)
You can search for SAM Series learn ABAP in 24 days book. This book is sufficient to learn the ABAP required for working in BI.
But except ABAP you will have to completly learn the BI system to work efficiently.

Where is the best place to get support for iPhoto?

I have an issue that is listed here, in regards to iPhoto being very very slow, this is something that started to happen a while ago and I have been all over trying to find something to resolve this issue.
6000+ Images, it used to work fine but now it will not Quit, it just hangs. You can send some images via email then it will crash. I have tried all sorts of suggestions from various forums etc, but nothing. Clearing Cache's etc, nothing seems to help.
Is there any place I can get help from, or should I go directly to Apple for some suggestions?William,
You have come to the right place -iPhoto forum. It's the best place I know to get the help you need from knowledgeable iPhoto users.
When you say that iPhoto runs slow and quits, that sounds like a memory problem. How much free space do you have on your boot drive? The OS needs about by 15% free and clear disk space to use as virtual memory. An iPhoto library of 6000 can put a real drain on the system.
Apple recommends closing down other applications if you are getting sluggish response from iPhoto to free up memory.
Working in iPhoto you can also speed things up dramatically if you close all the rolls in the library source window, except the one you want to work with.
If you got the zoom set to give you big displays in that source window then minimize the zoom in the organize mode. I photo creates fasting loading thumbnails for browsing through your library. If the zoom is set all the way up, iPhoto has to load the full size file in the library for viewing in the source window. If it has to load all your photos full size in the source window you will get slow response and iPhoto is apt to quit on you
