Best practice Eloqua Landing Page examples

Hi
I was just wondering if anybody had any examples they have found of Landing Pages created in Eloqua that they think have been done excellently done.
I feel like I have improved mine significantly since I started working at my current company, however I am always on the look out for some new inspiration to open my mind up a bit!
Thanks for the help
Scott

Looks like I found what I wanted. Cheers,

  • Best practice for multi-page site

    Hello!
    I am working on a website build entirely in Flex 3.
    What is the best way to implement multiple pages as I don't want all loding at the same time?
    Should I make a 'parent' mxml, say main.mxml (swf later on) which loads the other pages in a VBox where they should show?
    Is there a better way?
    Thank you!

    Split your app into components, use a viewstack for this, not states, and consider modules if there are many views most users never see.

  • Best practice using "Master Page"?

    I have a photography website that I am building. Aside from the splash page, all of the other pages have the same header and footer. I figure I can use a master page to save some time. Since the splash page is completely different, should a create a new .png document to work on that? It seems like once you set a master page, ALL pages in the .png have to incorporate the same elements.
    Also, with a master page do I only need to slice and export the master elements once? And just slice the new items from the different pages?
    Thanks,
    Gordon

    You don't need a separate PNG file. Simply create the splash page as a separate page not linked to the master. You can remove the master page layer from any page by choosing this option in the Layers panel options.

  • Connect JavaFx(Applets) to J2EE - best practice & browser session

    Hi there,
    I’m new to JavaFX and Applet programming but highly interested.
    What I don’t get at the moment is how you connect the locally executed code of the applet to your system running on a server (J2EE).
    Of course there seem to be different ways but I would like to avoid using RMI or things like that because of the problem with firewalls and proxies.
    So I would like to prefer using HTTP(s) connection.
    And here my questions:
    1.) Is there any best practice around? For example: using HTTP because of the problems I mentioned above. Sample code for offering java method via HTTP?
    2.) Is there a possibility to use the browser session? My J2EE applications are normally secured. If the user opens pages he has to login first and has than a valid session.
    Can I use the applet in one of those pages and use the browser environment to connect? I don’t want the user to input his credentials on every applet I provide. I would like to use the existing session.
    Thanks in advance
    Tom

    1) Yes. If you look at least at the numerous JavaFX official samples, you will find a number of them using HttpRequest to get data from various servers (Flickr, Amazon, Yahoo!, etc.). Actually, using HTTP quite insulates you from the kind of server: it doesn't matter if it run servlets or other Java EE stuff, PHP, Python or other. The applet only knows the HTTP API (GET and POST methods, perhaps some other REST stuff).
    2) It is too long since I last did Java EE (was still J2EE...), so I can't help much, perhaps somebody will shed more light on the topic. If the Web page can use JavaScript to access this browser session, it can provide this information to the JavaFX applet (JS <-> JavaFX communication works as well as with Java applets).

  • Site Organization - Best Practices

    I am redoing a site that was originally created in FrontPage. All the pages are in the site folder. Before I selected DW, I investigated NetFusion. Their approach is to put each page in a separate folder according to the hierarchy. My site is over 70 pages which will be clumsy to navigate with all pages in 1 folder.
    My question is: what are Best Practices for organizing pages in a website?

    Nancy O. wrote:
    There are no hard & fast rules about organizing your site files.  It really comes down to what works best for you & your particular project.
    I like to keep all my main site pages at site root level and put my supporting files into sub-folders:
    Site - MySite (C:\MySite\
    about.html
    contact.html
    index.html
    services.html
    +images
    +includes
    +scripts
    +styles
    +Templates
    This is the way I generally do it myself ONLY because I use a lot of 'php include' files and using subfolders to organise pages creates a nightmare for my workflow. As my sites are general small max 20-30 base pages (mostly less as a lot of the information I use is called from a database to a template page - so may be 150 pages but only 20 base pages) they can be stored directly in the site root.
    Not sure I could do it this way if I didn't rely heavily on a database as there would be too many pages to store at root level comfortably (infact I do have a few non database sites where I do store pages in folders but then they don't rely on any php include files so I'm comfortable working that way too!)

  • HTML and CSS Best Practices for Eloqua?

    Hello Topliners Community,
    My name is Ben and I am a Web Designer. I am currently looking for any guidance on HTML and CSS best practices when working with Eloqua. I am interested in the best practices for e-mail and landing pages.
    Thank you,
    Ben

    Personally I like to upload my custom created html/css into Eloqua instead of using the WYSIWYG.
    But if you must then right clicking on text boxes and click edit source is the way to go.
    There was a good discussion on editing your forms with CSS:

  • Best Practice for link to WebdynPro page in welcome page

    Hi Experts,
        I am new in SAP Portal. I need some guidance from you guys. I have a requirement to create welcome page which is JSP and has a link to a WebdynPro page. I have to put the url in JSP file. So i do not know what kind of URL i should put in the JSP.
    The problem is if i put the url which i can see in the address bar like 'http://DevServer/WebDynPro/ApplcationA', when i transport it to another server ,for example Production,. The real url might be change to 'http://ProdServer/WebDynPro/ApplcationA'. It may cause the link in JSP can not be worked.
        I would like to ask you the best practice for this case. What url? What configuration?
    Thank you in advance,
    Noppong Jinbunluphol
    P.S. For the JSP, i create it in portal application dc.

    Dear Noppong,
    You can do it with multiple ways like :-
    1. Get the current host name and make complete URL with using host name for the webdynpro iview.
    request = (IPortalComponentRequest) this.getRequest();
    HttpServletRequest req = request.getServletRequest();
    StringBuffer strURL = req.getRequestURL();
    2. Create the KM Document or Link for webdynpro Iview OR Create the WPC Web Page for the webdynpro ivew

  • Set filter criteria on page 1 for page 2 OData model - "best practice"?

    Hello, I have a problem with an app - where I want to filter data on a second page, based on settings from the first page. I use an OData model.
    The collections on both pages are not related in terms of "navigation" properties, that is my problem and I can not change the data source...
    So I am looking for ideas/best practices to solve this because sometimes my filtering doesn't work... the following problem occurred: Request aborted
    I have a page with a sap.m List with items="{/tabWorkPlace}" and and a local JSON model where I store relevant data during the app lifecycle.
    handleListSelect - first page
    var context = evt.getParameter("listItem").getBindingContext();
    var dataModel = sap.ui.getCore().getModel("dataModel");
    var workplace = context.getProperty("WORKPLACE_ID");
    dataModel.setProperty("/WORKPLACE_ID", workplace);
    this.nav.to("SubMaster", context);
    The general App.controller.js handles the nav.to function:
    var app = this.getView().app;
    var page = app.getPage(pageId);
    if(pageId == "secondPage") {
         page.getController().filterData();
    And the controller of the second page:
    filterData: function() {
    var oModel = sap.ui.getCore().getModel("odata");
    var dataModel = sap.ui.getCore().getModel("dataModel");
    var workplace = dataModel.getProperty("/WORKPLACE_ID");
    var items = this.getView().byId("list");
    var oFilter=new sap.ui.model.Filter("WORKPLACE_ID",sap.ui.model.FilterOperator.EQ,workplace);
    items.getBinding("items").filter(oFilter);
    I don't write this code into the onInit() or beforeRendering() function, because they are called only once and I am navigating back and forth between the two pages, because the pages are created only once and "just" the data is changed.
    The desired page looks like this - with an other collection bound to it:
    <List
      id="list"
      select="handleListSelect"
      items="{/tabWorkstep_Status}"
    >
    But when I call it - then the request gets aborted:
    The following problem occurred: Request aborted
    But despite the fact the Request is aborted, the list on the second page is filtered!
    The filter criteria for the model works when I type it into the browser with URL. Maybe this fails because the data binding for the list didn't took place at this phase?
    I have this pattern (filter criteria on one page and result on the second page) more times - (and I think a better data model would be better with navigation properties would be better, but I cannot change it)
    But at another constellation the filtering doesn't work - same error... the following problem occurred: Request aborted
    I also don't want to change the pattern (page 1 to page 2) into popup lists or this fancy new filtering possibilities because it is not suitable for my use case.
    Is there maybe a more elegant solution - because sometimes filtering works, sometimes don't..., do I have an error in my solution (general approach)?
    Many thanks for any input!
    BR,
    Denise

    Hello, yeah you are right, but it works without the odata> stuff because of this in App.controller.js:
    var uri = "http://localhost:32006/JsonOdataService.svc";
    var oModelMS = new sap.ui.model.odata.ODataModel(uri);
    sap.ui.getCore().setModel(oModelMS, "odata");
    oView.setModel(oModelMS);
    So my question is - how to navigate from one page to another - and on the other page first bind a collection to a select and then when selecting bind certain elements (a textfield) to the selected filtered entity.
    The stuff with context and binding won't work, because the two Collections don't have a navigation/association property between them...
    So for example:
    page1
    select a list item with property color: red and year 1985. Press one of the buttons and pass this criteria to another page.
    page 2:
    show a dropdown box with all car names which fullfill this criteria, and when one car is selected, then display the data for THIS car in several text fields.
    This is not a master->detail navigation example, because on page 1 i select certain criterias, and then with buttons I navigate to several pages with those criterias.
    But since the OData model has no relationships it is really hard to do it manually... With a dummy mock.json like in DJ Adams Fiori like SAPUI5 apps it is no problem... But with OData and no things related to each other it is hard...

  • What is the best practice for creating master pages and styles with translated text?

    I format translated text all the time for my company. I want to create a set of master pages and styles for each language and then import those styles into future translated documents. That way, the formatting can be done quickly and easily.
    What are the best practices for doing this? As a company this has been tried in the past, but without success. I'd like to know what other people are doing in this regard.
    Thank you!

    I create a master template that is usually void of content, with the exception I define as many of the paragraph styles I believe can/will be used with examples of their use in the body of the document--a style guide for that client. When beginning a new document for that client, I import those styles from the paragraph styles panel.
    Exception to this is when in a rush I begin documentation first, then begin new work. Then in the new work, I still pull in those defined paragraph and or object styles via their panels into the new work.
    There are times I need new styles. If they have broader applicability than a one-off instance or publication, then I open the style template for that client and import that style(s) from the publication containing the new style(s) and create example paragraphs and usage instructions.
    Take care, Mike

  • Multi page best practices

    Hello,
    I am working on a form that navigates through several pages of gathering info. I am just wondering what the best practices are when dealing with multiple pages. Such as navigating the application, next page, previous page, etc etc. Would using states be a feasible possibility? What would be some other suggestions? TIA

    Use a ViewStack and move back and fourth between children in the ViewStacks children array based on back/next buttons.
    Alternatley use a tab navigator.
    An accordian.
    Horizontal list with slidding effects.
    Even a rotating carousel.
    There are any number of ways to do this and many many examples on the web.  Find one that you like and go with it!
    As for best practices it is generally a good idea to focus on maintainability and extensibility when desinging the interface.  You want to be able to reuse it easily and to be able to quickly and easily make changes to the content (Forms).  I know that is vague but that's the best advice I can give on short notice without writing a chapter on it.

  • Best practice on dynamically changing drop down in page fragment

    I have a search form, which is a page fragmant that is shared across many pages. This form allows users to selct a field from the drop down list, and search for a particular value, as seen in the screenshot here:
    http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/1291/174258525936074/1600/expanded.5.gif
    Please note that the search options are part of page fragmant embedded within a page - so that I can re-use it across many pages.
    The drop down list changes,based on the page this fragment is embedded. For users page, it will be last name, first name, etc. For parts page, it will be part number, part desc., etc.
    Here is my code:
              Iterator it=getTableRowGroup1().getTableColumnChildren();
            Option options[]=new Option[getTableRowGroup1().getColumnCount()];
            int i=0;
            while (it.hasNext()){
                TableColumn column=(TableColumn)it.next();
                if (column.getSort()!=null){
                    options=new Option(column.getSort().toString(), column.getHeaderText());
    }else{
    options[i]=new Option(column.getHeaderText(), column.getHeaderText());
    i++;
    search search=(search)getBean("search");
    search.getSearchDDFieldsDefaultOptions().setOptions(options);
    This code works, but it gives me all fields of the table available in the drop down. I want to be able to pick and choose. May be have an external properties file associated with each page, where I can list the fields available for search drop down??
    What is the best practice to load the list of options available for drop down on each page? (i.e last name, first name, etc.) I can have the code embedded in prerender of each page, or use sort of a resouce bundle for each page or may be use a bean?

    I have to agree with Pixlor and here's why:

  • Best Practices Question: How to send error message to SSHR web page.

    Best Practices Question: How to send error message to SSHR web page from custom PL\SQL procedure called by SSHR workflow.
    For the Manager Self-Service application we’ve copied various workflows which were modified to meet business needs. Part of this exercise was creating custom PL\SQL Package Procedures that would gather details on the WF using them on custom notification sent by the WF.
    What I’m looking for is if/when the PL\SQL procedure errors, how does one send an failure message back and display it on the SS Page?
    Writing information into a log or table at the database level works for trouble-shooting, but we’re looking for something that will provide the end-user with an intelligent message that the workflow has failed.
    Thanks ahead of time for your responses.
    Rich

    We have implemented the same kind of requirement long back.
    We have defined our PL/SQL procedures with two OUT parameters
    1) Result Type (S:Success, E:Error)
    2) Result Message
    In the PL/SQL procedure we always use below construct when we want to raise any message
    hr_utility.set_message(APPL_NO, 'FND_MESSAGE_NAME');
    hr_utility.raise_error;
    In Exception block we write below( in successful case we just set the p_result_flag := 'S';)
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN APP_EXCEPTION.APPLICATION_EXCEPTION THEN
    p_result_flag := 'E';
    p_result_message := hr_utility.get_message;
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    p_result_flag := 'E';
    p_result_message := hr_utility.get_message;
    fnd_message.set_name('PER','FFU10_GENERAL_ORACLE_ERROR');
    fnd_message.set_token('2',substr(sqlerrm,1,200));
    fnd_msg_pub.add;
    p_result_message := fnd_msg_pub.get_detail;
    After executing the PL/SQL in java
    We have written some thing similar to
    orclStmt.execute();
    OAExceptionUtils.checkErrors (txn);
    String resultFlag = orclStmt.getString(provide the resultflag bind no);
    if ("E".equalsIgnoreCase(resultFlag)){
    String resultMessage = orclStmt.getString(provide the resultMessage bind no);
    orclStmt.close();
    throw new OAException(resultMessage, OAException.ERROR);
    It safely shows the message to the user with all the data in the page.
    We have been using this construct for a long time for all our projects. They are all working as expected.
    Regards,
    Peddi.

  • Does JSP best practice of putting under WEB-INF apply to JSF pages?

    I'm new to JSF and wondering if the "best practice" advice that used to be given of storing your jsp pages under WEB-INF (when using Model2) to keep them from being served up without going through your controller still applies with JSF.
    Since the component lifecycle is so different, I'm wondering if it would still apply? If anyone can explain why it might or might not apply I'd appreciate it!
    Thanks!

    The rule is:
    keep all the pages you dont user to "browse", under the WEB-INF directory.

  • What's the best practice to manage the page file?

    We have one Hyper-v Server running windows 2012 R2 with 128 GB RAM and 2 drives (C and D). It setup Automatically manage page file size for all drives. What's the best practice to manage the page file?
    Bob Lin, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Install and Configure Windows, VMware, Virtualization and Cisco on http://www.HowToNetworking.com

    For Hyper-V systems, my general recommendation is to set the page file to 1-4 GB. This allows for a mini-dump should something happen. 99.99% of the time, Microsoft will be able to figure out the cause of the problem from the mini-dump. It does not make
    sense on a Hyper-V system to set aside enough space to capture all the memory on the system because only a very small portion of that memory is used by the parent partition. Most of the memory is under control of the individual VMs.
    Yes, I had one of the Hyper-V product group tell me that I should let Windows manage it.  A couple of times I saw space on my system disk disappear because the algorithm decided it wanted all the space for the page file.  Made it so I couldn't
    patch my systems.  Went back in and set the page file to 1-4 GB and have not had any issues since.
