Most should work, the pre-requisites would be an HDMI socket supporting HDCP and 720p or 1080p capability.
There are too many variables such as screen size, styling, plasma vs LCD etc, cost and other fancy features on modern TVs - you may want a basic no frills display with good picture quality or a bells and whistles SmartTV.

Download from where into what? What are you going to do with the photos?
I agree with Larry that a Mac with an SSD boot drive and addtional standard drive is blazingly fast. I have an iMac setup that way and it boots in 14 seconds. With the system and applicaitons and iPhoto library on the SSD drive and most other documents, backup photos, etc. on the std. drive. it works beautifully. However, I do not let the free space on the SSD drive get less than 50 GB.
I also have an external HD that I sue with Time Maching to backup both my SSD and standard drive in the iMac.

• Best upgrades for under $100

I suppose it's my turn to ask a few basic questions. Someone gave me a Beige G3 desktop. It has a 300 mhz processor. And it has OS x 10.2.8 The only upgrade I have done has been to put in one 256 ram chip. I would like to make a few other upgrades to it, but not for very much money since I also have a mac mini that I use primarily. The G3 is used mostly as an extra computer for family to jump online with. It also has it's original 6 Gig hard-drive of which 4 gigs are used. I have a few different questions and perhaps someone could point me towards the right post, if they have been asked (I couldn't find them on my own).
1. I was interested in getting the larger vram chip for it, but after reading one of the posts, it was recomended to get a graphics card instead. Will a pci card just bypass the vram? In other words, do I just pick up a graphics/video card and forget the internal vram exists?
2. Here is a little more wide open question. If you were in my shoes and you wanted to make important upgrades for a total of about $100, what would be your "no-brainer" prioritized list? I have been looking for a list of prioritized upgrades, but haven't found any.
Thanks to any who reply.
G3 Beige Desktop 300 mhz Mac OS X (10.2.x)

Since this is a secondary computer, and because its market value is negligible, I wouldn't recommend a processor upgrade. The stock 300 MHz (with 1 MB L2 cache) processor is certainly more than adequate for your expressed usage. Having enough RAM for running OS X is necessary, so the additional 256 MB DIMM that you added to the existing memory (? MBs) may be enough. The motherboard has a slot for a 2 MB or 4 MB SGRAM SO-DIMM for graphics enhancement. Used pulls are available at eBay for $5 now plus shipping. As for video cards, a Mac can use multiple cards for multiple displays (if desired), so (unlike PCs) you don't need to use the "Device Manager" or go into the BIOS setup to disable the onboard graphics chip. The video card must be Mac-compatible, meaning that it's programmed with a Mac ROM. Used Mac cards are available on eBay for $30 and under, like ATI's Radeon 7000 or the Rage Pro 128 for under $20. A graphics card with a faster onboard processor will provide faster screen redraws, and will be an asset, especially if the Mac will be connected to high-speed internet. Any of the widely-available IDE (E-IDE) hard drives sold in computer/electronics/office supply stores can be used in the beige G3, so if storage capacity is needed, you can get a new drive for around $40 or less (with or without rebates). Beyond the extra disk space, new drives run cooler, faster, and have larger caches. Even on the stock ATA bus, you'll notice a speed/performance difference. The onboard controller can't recognize any drive greater than 137 GBs, so that means that a 120 GB (or less) is the target size to purchase. You can install a larger capacity drive, but anything beyond 128 GBs of formatted space will be unrecognized/unused. A USB PCI card is a convenient add-on, especially if you'd like to use current printers, flash drives, scanners, etc. with your beige G3. Avoid the Belkin cards having the Opti-based chipset. I've had no problems with the IOGEAR 2-port USB 2.0 card. In order of priority, I'd place memory first (which you've done), a graphics card second, a larger capacity hard drive third, and a USB PCI card fourth. You may also want to consider replacing the stock 24x CD-ROM drive with a CD-RW drive, but with a USB flash memory stick, files could be transferred to the Mac Mini for burning to CD, so that probably wouldn't be needed. I will point out that I upgraded my beige G3s with RAM, a Radeon graphics card, USB and FireWire cards, CD-RW drive, and larger capacity hard drives in some. I couldn't begin to recover the total investment in each unit, if I sold any of them today. If you set a $$ limit before upgrading, you'll keep from going overboard.

Hello.
What is the best iPad model to get for old people/elders who are over 60 years old? I assume iPads' iOS can do DPI to adjust sizes for bigger

All iPads can read and write Chinese and can also have Chinese user interface. They can even accept Chinese handwriting input. Plus Chinese SIRI, Dictation, and Dictionaries. See

• What's the best MacBook to get for dual boot (SL & Lion)

I want to get a MacBook pro i7 13" that I can set up with both a Snow Leopard & a Lion boot partition so I can test apps on both. (Plus maybe add a bootcamp partition).
Can I just buy a new machine with Lion and be able to repartition and add Snow Leopard, or should I look for a previous generation one. (I'd like to configure it with an SSID and max out the RAM. I also want to be able to hook up an external monitor to it).
Are there any "gotchas" I need to worry about.
Thx
Frank

If you create a Boot Camp partition, then you can only have it and the OS X partition. You cannot add a third partition. If you do then Boot Camp can no longer restore your disk if needed.
Not all of the newest Macs are able to run Snow Leopard or require a version of Snow Leopard that is not publicly available.
You can find out all the rest by just going to the Apple Store and examining the technical specs for each model.

• What's the best Mac to get for college?

My daughter is getting ready to attend college in the fall and I would like to get her a MAC. Which one do you recommend and why?

She'll certainly want something portable and while the MacBook Air is the lightest, I would be more prone to suggest a slightly heavier (but not too hefty!) entry-level MacBook Pro. If she needs to run Windows apps, she can, and there are a number of applications that are cross-platform (the ubiquitus MicroSoft Office for example).

Im going to university in September and like the sound of the MacBook air. However I'm just worried that I wont have enough memory even though I am doing animal science it will be mainly written tasks than anything more production like...

If you want something to carry around campus the MBA is a great computer - I'm totally happy with mine. Dominic's suggestion for the 256GB model is spot on and 8GB of RAM should see you safely thru your undergraduate years.
I've started seeing more and more students carrying iPads with keyboard covers and I took that route myself this spring at a convention. I needed to travel extra light so I left the computer and charger at home. The MBA has great battery life for a full notebook but doesn't come close to matching the all day goodness of an iPad. Add a mini or iMac in the dorm and you're all set.

• Debating on what tv to get for under $3500...

I have narrowed down my decision on two possible tv's....on one hand I can get the Samsung PN63C8000 which is the 63 in plasma or the other get the huge DLP 82 Mitsubishi. I know I would get better picture quality with the plasma...but just wanted some feedback....

I second the opinion that Sony has fallen off, but I also second the opinion that flat screen TVs are of a wide variation of qualities. But lets use logic to decide this for sure. I remember having several Tube style TVs and still have many that are still working after 18+ years without an issue. Think about it, before flat screen and DLP projection all there was is tube, since the 50s all man had to refine was the same tech, therefore it became easy to master.
now with all this new technology and the constant advancement of technology we live in a very ADHD style of electronics market where everything keeps changing. knowing that, can one honestly think that these companies are taking their time to master each new technology that they think of? I'd argue that they are not. the closest tech mastery we have in TVs right now is either DLP (because Mitsubishi has continued to champion for it), and plasma (because Panasonic has taken plasma as their stand as their focus). but honestly, any flat panel cannot be proved to be as consistantly reliable as a tube TV.
therefore whatever you buy, be aware and be reasonable with your expectations. I usually tell my customers, that if they are lucky they should expect to receive 8-10 years of reasonable use out of their new TV, and thats if no problems ever arise. I will submit, that while I have no scientific proof, id estimate that 1 of every 20 flat panels would not make it past 3 years without a severe problem arising.

• What is the best computer to get for editing?

I currently use Avid Xpress Pro on an iMac G5. I can't run FCP on it because it doesn't have an Intel Processor. So, I want to get a new computer and was thinking of either getting a 17" MacBook Pro and connect it to an external monitor, or a Mac Pro. Any suggestions? Are there any limitations to getting a MacBook Pro to run Final Cut Studio? I'll mostly be using FCP and DVD Studio Pro.

Either will work.
What formats do you need to edit? What's your output?

• What's the best sleeve to get for my X230?

I'm wondering since I'm going around Amazon, I live in the UK. But college is coming up and my X230 needs smaller but still decent protection. Carrying two bags will become a chore.
Which should I go for? I'd like something strong, but snuggly fit and it won't damage the system itself. Hoping that the build isn't so horrible.

• What is the best ram to get for my imac i7 retina?

Specifically I will go to crucial and I want to buy another 16gb of RAM to sit by my current 8,
Which should I choose as there a few options? I have a iMac i& 4ghz Retina.
Thanks for your help guys!

Reliable vendors include Crucial, DataMem, or OWC. I don't understand your second question since Crucial only sells their own branded product. They have an online tool you use to identify the proper RAM for your model. Your model uses:
Maximum Memory
32 GB
Memory Slots
4 - 204-pin PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM

I'm really happy with the purchase but can think of a couple minor modifications I'd like to see they incorporate into the case to make it work even better.
