  • What is the best source to learn and advice to get Oracle 12c (OCA) certificate???

    Hi there,
I hope all are running good.
Actually, I'm a new in a Oracle career but I know all concepts of Databases and SQL.
I'm planning to take a Oracle 12c (1Z0-061) (SQL Fundamentals) exam to achieve 12c OCA certificate but I'm bit confused in what source is best to learn it by self and what are tips to pass those all exam to lead me OCA certificate. Please, kindly provide your valuable opinions. Look forward to hearing your replies.
    Thanks

The Oracle Press exam guide for 1Z0-061 is written, though of course there is all sorts of production stuff still to go. The 1Z0-062 guide (a lot longer!) is done except for the last two chapters. So both should be out in the near future. I know this because my buddy Roopesh is writing 1Z0-061, and I'm writing 1Z0-062. Bob Bryla's 1Z0-063 guide is bit later, the exam isn't in beta yet.
As Philippe says, the OCA is not simple this time. Of course I can't reveal the exam content, but I think I can say that Oracle Uni is raising the standard with 12c .

  • Best sources for learning digital scrapbooking?

I am interested in learning more about digital scrapbooking using PSE7.  I'd like to print them using Shutterfly. I've looked all over the internet and am now confused where to start. I need to start with BASICS!  I'd love to find a message board where people exchange ideas.  Thanks for any ideas you have!

Once you get the hang of digital scrapping, you are going to become a collector of great digital kits and elements. My advice to people just starting out is top get organized *before* you accumulate a lot of stuff. And beleive me, you will! If you are using PSE ther eis Organizer built in, but I founf that to slow my computer down a bit. Other scrappers use Picasa. I use ACDSee Photo Manager and I find that one to be the easiest and the best.
If you google "digital freebies" you'll find some great stuff out there. Also, Digital Scrapbook Place is a great site for tutorials.
    Have fun!

  • What is the best way to learn about galaxie s3 from novice viewpoint?

what is the best way to learn about galaxie s3 as a complete beginner?  nothing that is taken as a given by other discussions is known by me.  i instantly get lost.

Do you already have the phone, or are you planning on getting the phone.
You could sign up for a free workshop at one of your local Verizon stores. You could read the owners manual. You could peruse thru the topics on THIS Verizon site.
I thought there was a thread which gave a bunch of tips/tricks for the GSIII, but I can't seem to find it. There IS one for the Galaxy Note II which MAY be helpful with the GSIII, though.

  • Best way to learn iWork? Which source?

I'd like to know a good source to learn iWork thoroughly.. Online.
    Paid and Free.
    Certification might be cool.

I used only these resources :
    Keynote User Guide
    Numbers User Guide
    Pages Users Guide
iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide.
For users really fluent with English, Apple deliver also several videos
All these resources are available for free thru the Help menus.
For me, the videos are perfectly useless. I'm unable to understand the spoken explanations.

  • Newbie Question - Learn FrameMaker from scratch

    Hi All,
First of all, apologies for the cheesy screen name
I am an IT developer at an MNC in India and want to move to technical writing. I do have a brief formal technical writing experience before and have published an engineering course ware book too. I have good MS Word authoring skills, but I have never worked with FrameMaker.
Now I want to learn FM, from scratch!.
Can anybody here point me to a good source for a complete FM newbie? (with good Word skills)
    Any good book
Video channel on youtube (highly needed, since in the day time, I have my job and I only have 26 days left for the trial )
Any other online resources / PDFs etc
I have started by looking at this link: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/framemaker/using/index.html  But it seems like it is for FM experts / intermediates. Frankly, I thought learning FM would be easy, but as I browse through the questions in this forum, I realize it's a sea not a pond / puddle as I had initially thought of
Any sort of help would be highly appreciated. I am using the latest version, FrameMaker 12.
    Thanks in Anticipation
    - Navin

    Hi Navin,
You can check out some of the videos on the AdobeTV TechComm Channel at http://tv.adobe.com/channel/technical-communication/
The best reference book currently available is "Publishing Fundamentals: Unstructured FrameMaker 11" by Matt Sullivan and Sarah O'Keefe. For an ePub see: Books - Scriptorium Publishing or order the book from Amazon: Publishing Fundamentals: Unstructured FrameMaker 11
There also is the Adobe Classroom-in-a-Book series that has a version for FM11 by Barb Binder. For an electronic version see: Adobe FrameMaker 11 Classroom in a Book (don't get the Kindle version, the layouts are hard to read/use - the PDF is much better).
There's an online training course available from lynda.com. See: Watch the Online Video Course FrameMaker 10 Essential Training
VTC has a FM9 training video series available at: Adobe FrameMaker 9 Course Online
The basics don't change, so even FM9 training is quite valid for FM12,
Note: all of these refer to using FM in an unstructured mode. If you want to learn Structured FM (DITA, XML or even SGML), then you'll still need to understand the basics that unstructured FM provides.

  • Need Recommendation of Online Sources in Learning to Use the Relational DBs

Please recommend some online sources in learning to use the relational databases; such as the ways relational databases are different from flat files, how to retrieve data from relational database tables. Thank you.

Actually I figured the OP was looking for a source that would instruct one in building ones own database rather than using an existing one.
Myself I would just buy a book (or read the one I already have.) I wouldn't expect to find to many sources like that online althoug one might find some college course materials for a class.

  • What could be the best way to Export data from 11.5.8 instance to 12.1.2?

    Hi All
What could be the best way to Export data from 11.5.8 instance to 12.1.2?
    Release: 11.5.8
OS: Oracle Solaris on SPARC (32-bit) verison 9
    DB: 9.2.0.1
    Thanks in advance

What kind of data you are looking to move?
Database export/import is only supported for full database export/import and the application release should be the same on the source/target nodes.
You can move the setup using iSetup or FNDLOAD.
    Thanks,
    Hussein

  • What is the best way to learn SAP-ABAP

What is the best way to learn ABAP??
Stick to SAP press books and understand and learn theroitically
                                            'or'
Move to ABAP programming and experiment all the things you have learn.
If both want to go hand in hand and if we want to do more practise, where can i find a source of abap programming questions (like codechef for java,c,c++..).  Bcoz understanding new concepts require practise and to creating programs to practise is a really difficult.
    Thnak you
    Md Omar saleem

    Hi,
Do the SAP course (BC400 - 5 days - it is a great course) and then practice practice practice.
The language itself is not difficult, but finding your way around the SAP system can be challenging.
    Try to do real-life examples.
    good luck!

  • Best way to transfer application from Test Environment to Dev. Environment

    Hi All,
We are try to create an application on Hosted Environment similar to www.apex.oracle.com.
    We got two work space
    1. app_production
    2. app_test
My application will have 200+ tables and many other supporting object.
My question is in hosted environment what is the best way to copy application from test to production environment (P.S In hosted environment I can uses SQL Developer / TOAD or any other tool .. its similar to www.apex.oracle.com)
With my present workaround I have to use
Go to Utilites -> Generate DLL
and then export this and application..
The main problem is 200+ table and associated structures .. its very difficult to keep track ...
Can anyone suggest me any good way for HOSTED ENVIRONMENT

    Hi,
    Just an idea:
1 - Do a DDL export of the source env
2 - Do a DDL export of the target env
3 - Use some tool to compare those files and highlight the differences. There are even some tools that are smart enough to generate SQL statements to apply the differences in the target env.
    I hope this helps.

  • Best LKM to move data from with in Oracle from one schema to another Schema

    Hi Gurus,
What is the best KM to move data from one schema to another schema within same oracle database.
    Thanks in advance

    Dear,
If your source and target are on the same database server then you dont need LKM.
You have to 1. create one data server for the database server
    2. Create one physical schema for your source and another physical schema for your target under the above created data server.
    3. Then create models for each above created physical schema
In this case you just need IKM knowledge module
    Please refer http://oditrainings.blogspot.in/2012/08/odi-interface-source-target-on-same.html
If your source and target are on different server then you must create two different data servers in topology. You have to use LKM.
The best LKM to use is LKM oracle to Oracle dblink. But you should have proper grants to use it
If your source has very few records you can go with LKM SQL to Oracle other wise use LKM oracle to Oracle dblink
