BEST Tutorial guides to follow when learning to make Flash Templates
I'm trying so hard to try and find either videos or books or
anything on learning to make Flash Website templates, but I'm
having trouble coming up with REALLY GOOD walk throughs as to
learning to use and create interactive flash website templates.
Does anyone here know of the best resources to go to or what
I could buy that would REALLY help my knowledge on the flash
program. Who here didn't know anything about Flash, and then what
did you learn to help you learn the program.
Again, I want to create flash website templates, but I don't
know what guides or tutorials to follow when learning, so could
someone please please direct me to the best place, thanks.
Oh, thanks for the compliment.
But i still feel like a beginner. Flash is a fantastic
program and its possibilities are mind-boggling.
Maybe 2 or 3 years ive been playing around with flash. Not
enough as i would like to however. I havent "trained" or anything
though. I did buy a couple of books but, to be honest they were a
waste of money. Everything you need is to be found on the web.
My template? Well, i just made a sample site and decided to
turn it into a template. Changing the text to xml text and trying
to make life easy for anyone who wanted to buy it. Im just testing
the water and these are early days.
Funnily enough I remember a couple of years back seeing one
of the templates on templatemonster and thinking "Wow! i wanna do
that!". But i quickly realised what a task that was and just
plodded along making sites.
I couldnt even begin to explain how to make the site though,
it would be like writing a book. Believe me id love to able to tell
you exactly how to acomplish your task.
Like ive said earlier, maybe your best bet is to get hold of
a free flash template, just a simple one, and open it up and have a
poke around.
Hope this helps

When will adobe make FLASH layers export to illustrator possible? (again)
Why oh Why is it not possible to export layers FROM Flash TO Illustrator.
Yes there are still people designing and drawing there artwork in Flash, refining them later in Illustrator.
The SVG format creates just one layer containing the flash layers as groups.
Will this again be possible? and for the time being does anyone know a easy way to separate groups into layers?
Many thanks in advance!Select all the groups, right click>Distribute to Layers.

Hi Gurus,
I am new to security, i like to know the best practices to be followed when adding a new tcode or auth object to the roles. what is the general way of doing it and when expert mode is used specifically rather than change mode.
Regards,
sandhyaHi Sandhya,
Here are the best practices i can think of:
When you create a new role, You always assign the tcodes in the Menu of the role so that all the authorization objects check/maintained for the respective tcodes will be pulled into the role.
When you go to Authorizations tab and click on Change Authorizations data (Pencil symbol), You will see all the authorization objects and the authorization fields that you need to maintain in the role.
When ever you change an already created role for any reason like adding new tcodes/deleting existing tcodes/adding or deleting of Authorization objects, it is by best practices stand point of view that you use the Expert mode for Authorizations so that any change in Check/Maintain status of Autorization objects in SU24 will be reflected into the role.
Pls go through the SDN forum on Security and i am sure you will find tons of info on this.

Learning to Make Basic Interactive Site
I want to learn to make a basic interactive site with Flash.
My ultimate goal is to design a portfolio website including video
and graphic design samples, but I want to start by learning how to
make a basic interactive site. I know the basics of drawing and
animating in Flash 5, but I don't know how to make Flash
interactive. I don't even know where to start on creating a website
in Flash. All I'm asking for is a starting point. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.Oh, thanks for the compliment.

I'm about to upgrade from an ASA5520 to ASA5525, is there a best practices guide anyone know if I can follow for this project.
Hi,
I am currently not aware of any really thorough guide on this, though then again I havent really looked. Maybe there would be idea in trying to make that kind of document myself since the question naturally keeps coming up again and again.
I would say the following things are the things that need most redoing when migrating from 8.2 (or below) to 8.3 (or newer)
NAT configurationsBecause the configuration format has changed
ACL configurations, mostly those attached to any kind of interface towards which NAT is appliedBecause the traffic is now opened towards the Real IP instead of NAT IP
Some VPN configuration formatsBecause of having both ikev1 and ikev2, your configurations might need an added "ikev1" in the Phase1/Phase2 configurations
Naturally if you have some specific questions on how something would be configured in a new software we can help with that.

Hi Experts ,
I recently faced an big issue . The system solaris 9/V440 went into maintainence mode after improrper shutdown.
I boot the system in maintaineece mode and Ran :fsck -y d0(root mirror namme ) . It was so lethal that everything wiped off . The system had to be rebuild .
The root Fs was UFS .
Could you all recommend some Best practices to handle situations in which system goes into mainatianenece mode asking was fsck .
For Solaris+SVM also Solaris+VXVM
Thanks in advanceI boot the system in maintaineece mode and Ran :fsck -y d0(root mirror namme ) . It was so lethal that everything wiped off . The system had to be rebuild .For exactly this reason, fsck -y should be a last* resort. First, you use fsck to examine the amount and type of damage before making repairs.
I am somewhat infamous at my work location for having once smacked a system administrator in the back of the head for immediately typing "fsck -y <return>" without knowing anything about the problem at hand.
Could you all recommend some Best practices to handle situations in which system goes into mainatianenece mode asking was fsck .I have repaired many filesystems, but succeeded more by caution and luck than by in-depth knowledge. For two years I attempted to find someone truly qualified to write a guide like this, and failed.
I spent most of that time explaining to different people the reasons why "fsck -y" is not an acceptable solution. Experience and success has proven to me that it is almost always the wrong thing to do.
Unfortunately, when there is a problem so difficult that fsck cannot handle it on its own, the number and type of issues that might exist are so varied that it is virtually impossible to give a meaningful Best Practice guide. Each kind of problem interacts with the other problems in the filesystem such that there is no one way (or best practice) to handle it.
It is not unusual for one (or a few) damaged inodes to mislead fsck into thinking that there are many other problems. The problems do not exist, and its efforts to repair them WILL become problems.
The best Best Practice statement that I can offer is :
Don't use "fsck -y" .
It is the weapon of choice for those uneducated in weaponry.
It is like using a nuclear bomb to eliminate the rats from a city.
It gets rid of the rats all right, but there can be some fallout.
The best solution I can offer is that to to use fsck properly and successfully, you must know something about the filesystem and what fsck can and cannot do.
[SunSolve document 230273|http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-61-230273-1|SunSolve document 230273] about "what fsck does in different passes" is the best thing that I've been able to find for getting a basic understanding of fsck.
To a useful degree, it explains what is happening, and what the implications of different changes can be. It even mentions certain changes which fsck offers to do which can be deferred to another fsck so that you can find out more before making a change.
Remember, there is no reason to do everything in one run of fsck.
There is every reason to run it several times, each time making incremental changes to shape its response in less damaging ways.
In addition, fsck is not the only tool available.
You should know about the file system debugger "fsdb" and the inode clearing tool "clri". ( Clearing an inode which is corrupt and is causing fsck to be mislead into all kinds of bad suggestions is wonderfully effective). Read the man pages.
For a better understanding, read (and try to understand) the man page for "ufs". That man page suggests that you also read the man pages for "newfs" and "mkfs_ufs".
If you want to be proactive and get some filesystem repair experience BEFORE you have to fix a production system (and you have no disks to experiment with) the mkfs_ufs man page suggests a technique for creating a filesystem in a file and using lofiadm to allocate a device for it, for use with tools like fsck.
You can selectively damage it with fsdb or with tools like "dd" (using the "seek=" option) or "mdb" and learn how to fix it using fsck and fsdb.
Alternatively, you can have an excellent and frequently verified backup/restore system which is available from a network- or cdrom-boot.
This would allow you to fsck -y (if you want to) or simply restore the filesystem at any sign of trouble. Make sure that the backups are very frequent.... -
Best practice guide for Batch Load utility in Oracle UCM.
Hi,
Is there any best practice guide for Oracle UCM Batch Loader utility.
We are looking for information regarding batch size in terms of number and size of contents. Also is there any loading time standards considering the contents are uploaded in filesystem where filestore provider is configured?
Thanks,
KrishnenduHi ,
There are no specific set of steps / practices for batch loading contents to ucm . It would be very much dependent on how many contents does the user have to load to UCM and how well the server is configured in terms of performance .
You can get more details from the following documentation link : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21043_01/doc.1111/e10792/c02_settings009.htm

I am ready to start testing NSM, mainly for management of home
directories but I cannot seem to find anything about the network
design/requirements for this product. I can see the install guides but
nothing about server requirements.
Do I need a dedicated server for this or would it be fine on an existing
OES server?
How much RAM etc does it need?
How many servers do I need? We have about 3000 users currently.
Does the server(s) need a replica? I really don't want to add more
replicas if it can be prevented.
Is there a best practices guide somewhere?
Thanks
BusterI cannot find the server requirements in the docs. I'm sure it's there
somewhere but I cannot find it. When looking at the "prerequisites" page
at
http://www.novell.com/documentation/...a/a20gkue.html
it doesn't mention anything about actual software/server requirements.

Anyone give me the best tutorial site for servlets nd jsp
hi ,i want to know the servlets in deeply... so plz give best tutorial sites...
thanks in advance...Hi,
If you want to learn Servlets "deeply" - you need to understand how the Servlet Container works, along with the Servlet API.
You can check out the Servlet Container Jetty ( http://jetty.mortbay.org/ ). You can download the Source Code & see how the Server ticks !
And, of course,....practice...practice...lots of practice.......:) !

Best tutorial using open source technology with jdeveloper 11g for beginner
Best tutorial based on Jdeveloper 11g myfaces, Spring , hibernate and oracle xe or mysql using tomcat server.
Is there any tutorial like followed link. Using jdeveloper 11g.
http://www.javaguicodexample.com/javawebjpajsfmysqldatabase12.html
also like netbean tutorial in jdeveloper 11g.
http://netbeans.org/kb/67/web/jastrologer-intro.html
http://netbeans.org/kb/67/web/jastrologer-validate.html
http://netbeans.org/kb/67/web/jastrologer-jsfformtags.html
Jdeveloper 11g always go with wizard. I personally like visual jsf desinger of jdeveloper.
But other thing i want to code. To understand properly.
I am following following tutorial in jdeveloper 11g
http://wowjava.wordpress.com/2010/01/21/jsf-database-application/
Edited by: prafull on May 26, 2010 5:37 PMThere isn't an end to end tutorial with the stack you are looking at, but:L
You can start with this tutorial that uses EclipseLink for JPA to build the model layer:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/ps1/ejb/ejb.html
Here is a little example of how you can use Trinidad components (open source) in JDeveloper 11g for visual JSF development:
http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/2009/02/using_trinidad_in_jdeveloper_1.html
using MySQL would just mean adding the MySQL JDBC driver to JDeveloper, and to the integrated WebLogic - like this:

Best Practices Guide for SAP CRM 7.0 on Paymetrics Integration
Hello Experts
It would be of great help if someone can guide us to any available Best Practices Guide for SAP CRM 7.0 on Paymetrics Integration.
We are working with SAP CRM 7.0 together with an ECC system connected to it. We are looking at both Authentication as well as Payment part of Paymetrics.
I am interested in the following:
-> Architecture involving ECC, SAP CRM 7.0 and Paymetrics.
-> The Customizing/Configurations/Enhancements needed to integrate Paymetrics (ECC / SAP CRM 7.0 / WebShop Admin / XCM).
-> Storage of Credit Card data (whether in ECC or CRM or none).
-> Authentication process (whether needed in both ECC as well as CRM).
-> Payment process.
-> Recurring payments (B2B scenario).
Thanks and Regards,
