Best view for Video for 5800

Kindly let me know in which resolution should i convert video for Nokia 5800 so that it can be viewed perfectly.
e.g.: 320 x 240, 320 x 480, 320 x 200, 240 x 180.
Also audio quality in what Kbps ? shouls i keep while converting.
I had converted 1 video it seems video is stretch.

The 5800 records video in VGA 640x480, so that ought to be your benchmark. The 5800 screen is 640x360 pixels in landscape mode, effectively therefore widescreen, but when I tested this model I had no issue watching videos that I had converted to MP4 using WinAVI so the screen should not be causing the distortion.
I'm not a video expert and I have my software on standard settings so I can't offer much further advice on conversion configuration.

  • Best export settings for video for web

Can anyone give me some advice on the best export settings for a short video that is to be viewed on the web? I have some short, say 2 minute videos that need to be placed on a website and need a reasonable file size. What would the best Format and Preset options be in Premiere? Would it be helpful to utilize After Effects to reduce file size? Thank you in advance to anyone who has some advice!!

For now, it would be on my own website or a clients website. But there may
be another possibility, I have a client that already has some videos
available for viewing on their website, looks like they are YouTube videos
that play on their site, and there is an option to "Watch on YouTube". So I
guess I would love some recommended export settings for a straightforward
video clip on my website, and if I need to explore the YouTube preset in
Premiere, let me know. Thank you, I really appreciate your answers and
    help!!

  • Best External hardrive for video for MacBook Pro?

I have a MacBook Pro - 2009.  I have put a lot of video on my computer and it's getting full so I need to clear content off to make some room.  What is the best and easiest external drive for holding video?  Also, I want it to be super easy to access and move a video file back from the drive to my computer to work on.

The best HDD is the one that works.  You will find many officialdoms of various brands and detractors of those very same brands.  What I think is important for you is to get the right enclosure in which to mount the HDD.  Video files are huge and to transfer the data from your internal drive to the external drive can last a long time.  I speak from experience.
The enclosure I use and endorse is the OWC Mercury Elite-Al Pro mini.  It can be connected by not only USB & Firewire but eSata as well.  An eSata connection is the fastest available at this time, that I know of.  (I'm sure thunderbolt and USB3 will coming along soon, but not available yet.)   They are well constructed out of heavy aluminum extrusions and dissipate heat very well.  Be warned, they are not cheap.
For what its worth, most of my HDDs are Seagate, but I have a Hitachi which came with my new MBP and Toshibas Which were inside enclosures that I purchased.  All of them are still spinning.
    Ciao.

  • Best SINGLE SLOT video for PowerMac G5

I presently own a nVidia 6800 DDL, but it takes two slot positions in the Mac chassis due to the cooling fan.
Any advice on a comparable card that will only use a single slot of space? I really need to free that slot for an additional DSP card.
    Any help appreciated.
    DP 2.5 G5 & PB17" 1.67   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   2.5GBRAM/UAD1x2/MOTU828MKII

Well - assuming the graphics card slot in your G5 is AGP and the card must be a 'Mac' version - and to only take up one slot - the ATI X800XT would probably suit. Has a variable-speed fan, so is fairly quiet - and works well (and is still available - just). Some tests here

Note the Conclusion from the link above:
    "CONCLUSION
I'm very impressed with the performance of the ATI Radeon X800 XT Mac Edition. It's equal to or faster than the GeForce 6800 Ultra in every test but one, yet costs $100 less and uses only one slot. Yes. It is half the length and half the thickness of the GeForce 6800 Ultra. So if you want to reclaim your PCI-X slot, better list your GeForce 6800 on eBay before everyone hears about the X800. "

  • Best compression of video for use within dvd studio

i am doing a dvd with lots of 1 min clips to choose from - what is the best method to give me the highest quality of video within the project? do i use compressor's dvd settings or is there a better way to do it.
    thanks
    mr C

It all depends on the total length of footage you plan to include. A bit budget is crucial before an encode.
    http://www.videohelp.com/calc.htm
Once you have the correct bitrate you can set it up in Compressor. However, it my depend on the type of footage you have as well. Compressor VBR isnt very good so a CBR encode might be a better option. Basically, there's no objective answer.

Can anyone help me figure out what this means? My updates are current...I'm running on OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
"VLC media player 1.0.3 Goldeneye requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher. VLC's last release for your OS is VLC 0.7.2, which is highly out of date and prone to known security issues. We recommend you to update your Mac to a modern version of Mac OS X."

I upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 and most of my programs do not display correctly, I think I needwindows 10  driver for display.

Hi sorokateam, welcome to the forums,
you can find drivers for the L440 on the following support site.  I would suggest installing the chipset driver before the graphics driver if you haven't already installed it.

  • What is the best way to export a video for broadcast using FCE?  H264?

I need to get the best quality HD video for broadcast using final cut express and I need to know all info and settings please?

    Hello,
You need to find out from the broadcaster what specs they require you to meet.  H.264 is probably not it.

  • Videos for Visio

Hey guys..i was thinking of putting some videos on my vision M. Is there any specific site that you find to be the best place to get them or do you just search around? Just wondering. Thanks.

There should be a way to fix it.
Check the AV connector to the Vision M end has 3 parts on the jack.
    is for video
    for left audio
    is for right audio.
Now.... In most of these conectors, the video is on one of those parts, but for the Zen, it's on a different part. You could buy the official cable, or what you could do is just look at the End which connects to the TV.
You have the 3 seperate phono jacks going into a Scart convertor?
If so, you'll most likely have put the Yellow one in the yellow connector in the scart convertor. Well, that one is the video.
Try swapping the positions over. e.g. put the yellow phono jack into the red connector.
    Check it out and see.
If that's not it, check to see that the Video you have is not 60Hz NTSC format running on a PAL 50Hz tv, or something. I think you can change the settings on the player.

  • Best Practices for viewing home video on my Mac

Come on people - THERE HAS TO BE A BEST PRACTICE out there for storing and viewing family video!!
I'm the typical dad out there taking photos and video of my kids playing soccer, family trips ect ...
When I get home I hook my camera up to my MacMini (which is hooked up to my Plasma TV - and backed up to an external HD) and within mere seconds, my photos are nicely captured in iPhoto. Friends and family come over, I flip on the MacMini, select iPhoto (or Front Row) and we enjoy great slide shows.
I want to be able to have the same easy access to my videos -flip on my MacMini, start Front Row, view my various home movies, pick one and enjoy the show.
What is the best way to do this?
    Current Technology
    Canon HV20
    iMovie 08
    iPhoto 08
    Front Row

Thanks for the welcome WC! And thanks for the initial help.
I have never exported video before (sad but true), so I have a couple "Workflow" questions for you or anyone else that knows this stuff
    1) Should I assume I just hook my firewire up from my Canon to the MacMini and everything just starts to export?
    2) Once exported into iMovie, I assume I can edit out some of the garbage (example - my wife sometimes forgets to turn off the camcorder and she'll video her leg or the ground for minutes at a time - I'd like to trash that.
    3) Once edited, how do I move it into iTunes?
I will probably need to take an iMovie class ...

  • Which do you think; Windows 7: 32-bit / 64-bit, (plus unused RAM issues) is best for video editing?

    Hi there!
Just received delivery of a Lenovo G550 with the following spec:
    2.2Ghz Core 2 Duo,
    4GB (DDR3 - 1066Hz) RAM,
    500GB HDD
    NVIDIA GeForce G210M (512MB)
    Windows 7
The entire purpose for buying this laptop, was for video editing and it is the best spec I could find for my needs and budget.
    So what's the problem?
    1) Windows 7 is installed as 32-bit, not 64 bit. Why is this? I was given no choice in this decision.
    2) Only 2.96GB of that juicey RAM is being used by Windows 7. I need as much RAM as possible for video editing.
    3) Lenovo sent NO install disc. - When I eventually get a virus or my HDD fails, I have NO WAY to clean install the very product I have just purchased! (A laptop with Windows 7 OS).
    Considerations:
As I understand it (please comment if there are alternative views on this); The 64-bit architecture is only useful for compatible software which has been designed to run 64-bit.
The video editing software I use is "Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 9.0"
The suggested problems with Windows 7 run as 64-bit include:
    * Possible lack of driver compatibility support.
    * Possibility of 32-bit programs running SLOWER in 64-bit environment, than their native 32-bit environment.
    * Higher running temperatures & processor cooling issues.
    * No performance gains for all other programs running as 32-bit (email, internet browser, etc).
The suggested advantages with Windows 7 run as 64-bit could be:
    * Full utilisation of the 4GB RAM. (Presently limited to 2.96GB)
    * Faster rendering and video editing tasks in 64-bit environment.
    Questions:
    4) How can I get an install disc for Windows 7? Shouldn't this come with the computer?
    5) Do you think the potential hassle and architecture conflicts are worth suffering, to get the reported performance gains of 64-bit architecture and the remaining unused RAM?
Thank you for any help and advice!

contact lenovo support line for windows 7 dvds, but make sure if they send recovery dvds instead of windows 7 dvd.
most of people are having trouble with installing windows and drivers, so companies has found as this as solution to send recovery dvd -if asked- or using hidden partition to recovery system - like one key recover - instead of.
but if you ask me, they need to send dvds.
i'll contact the mods and admins about this issue, please stay connected to this post.

the member should contact lenovo, as of recently users are entitled to request media for 32 / 64 bit if they purchased one and want the other.

  • Best Push email software for the 5800

Just thought I would pop this up as I have been trying out a lot of Push email products recently and finally think I have found one I like for the 5800!
I am currently using System Seven and it does almost everything I need - push email - with the option to view compatible emails in html.
My only issue with it is the fact you cant set HTML as standard and it doesnt have a clickable notification on the homescreen. (minor issues)
I have tried others like Emoze (works well and has a notification but the HTML emails done allow you to scroll and the scrolling is very tempremental in normal view.)
Mail for exchange doesn't have html although is now available for services such as Gmail etc...
Anyone got any better solutions or anything to add to this thread let me know.

I dunno, there aren't really any screen shots or concrete descriptions on the Evernote site, and I've never used it, but from looking at a video on their site, I'm not sure it would qualify for creating organizational charts. If Fred is looking for something that creates stuff like flow charts and the like, he may have better luck with OmniGraffle. Whether this is available on the Mac App Store, I don't know... but if not, don't bother with the Mac App Store and just download from the web site:

  • What is the best, safest MXF video converter for mac?

I need to view MXF video files on my macbook pro. Wondering if anyone knows what is the best video converter to use for these files?

Hi, I just got one recommended to you. It is iOrgSoft Video Mate. It can convert camcorder footages like MXF, AVCHD, MTS, XAVC, MOD, etc to regular video formats like MP4, MOV, 3GP, etc. I usually it to convert AVCHD files from my Sony cam. • Optimum settings for video playback on 5800 Xpress...

    Hello.
I want to find out what are the best setting to use for converting videos for watching on the 5800.
I will be converting from EyeTV files using a Mac. I can use either the ‘Export’ function from EyeTV or VisualHub – both have a huge range of formats and settings.
I could spend considerable time playing around with settings, but thought it easier to ask, as someone might of done this before.
The fact that I am using a Mac is unimportant - what I need are the optimum settings for: format, bitrate etc?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

i have h264/aac working in either a mp4 or a 3gp container, settings are 352x198 1000kbps ABR video 128kbps audio, baseline level 1.0, no b-frames, no cabac are the main things to remember. this is the largest size 16/9 aspect h264 the 5800 will play,  this gives really good watchable video though and even dropping the video bitrate to 600kbps ABR still gives watchable video. i have attached a mediainfo output file for you to get the full settings i use, hopefully someone will find good use for this

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
