BEST WAY TO CONVERT XDCAM EX FILES TO PRORES

I would like to covert all the files from the SONY EX-3 to ProRes.
What would be the most efficient way. I tried to import the files using my
sony transfer and then using Export (Quick time conversion using Apple pro res). However since
there are many files I was wondering if there is another way to do all files independently from each other to ProRes.

Or, use FCP's *Media Manager* tool to Recompress all the media to your target codec.
Or (in future) capture directly from the camera's baseband output to the target codec using a suitable I/O box such as a Matrox MXO2 box, AJA IO HD or Express box or Kona card, or Blackmagic Design card.

My company just upgraded to Captivate 7.01 from Captivate 6. We still have many CP4 files that need to be updated. Is there a better way to update the CP4(.cp) files than opening and saving as CP6 (.cptx), then opening the CP6 files in CP7 to update? Is there a batch file converter available that will do it?
Since I will be updating the files (background images) and testing them as they are updated, I am not too concerned about converting Action scripts for CP7. I mostly want to save some time (and tedium) converting the files so I can edit them.

No batch file converter. You'll just have to do it the old way, upgrading to an intermediate version such as Cp5 or Cp6 and then going from there to Cp7. It's the penalty for not upgrading sooner.

What is the best way of converting a Top Level VI into a 'sub vi' - or function ( without duplicating programming)

Hi,
General question here about design architecture, which i keep running into, but haven't found a really good solution. If i write a 'Top Level VI' to do something, what is the best way of converting it into a subVI - which is call-able from other VIs, while still allowing the top level VI to have synchronised feedback/indicator updates.
I guess the point is that when something is a top level VI you write gui logic about what happens when someone clicks buttons or whatever - which you don't want in the 'sub vi' version.
I did at one point try having a hidden boolean button that was an input to the subVI which would let the VI know if it was supposed to be doing the front panel stuff - or simply running as a subVI. This isn't really ideal though - since it would be better to be able to hive off the grizzly useful stuff from the fluffy - front panel updating stuff - having them together makes the VIs rather untidy. More annoyingly though, if you have the front panel version of it running - say waiting for you to hit 'go', it breaks all the other VIs that use it as a sub vi - since they can't compile when a sub vi is already running.
Another possibility that i tried was to basically duplicate the vi so that there was a backend part, and a front end part - and when i click 'go' the backend part is called as a sub vi. The problem with this is that it really limits the interface that the user gets - since none of the controls on the front panel update with the results untill the sub vi is over. I guess again i could solve this by passing references to some of the controls to update them in the subvi - but this doesn't really seem like the ideal situation if the subvi is called by something else without the same types of controls etc.
One final idea i had was to essentially paste all the controls in the VI into a global variable file, and make the sub vi update them, and the front panel VI read from them. This seems to 'work' - although clearly it is a work around rather than a proper solution - since i spend loads of time worrying about how i update cluster variables in the global - reading and writing.
Does anyone have any guidance on what they do to solve this problem?

You could run a subvis in a Subpanel on your top level. Lets you see the current data while the subvi is running.

In iCloud Drive you could create two separate custom folders, one for work documents and one for private documents and organize your documents there. Don't use the app specific folders (Keynote, Pages, Numbers, ...) , because you can only create one level of folders inside these folders.

At the moment I'm using
rs.getString(i);
everywhere (no matter if the underlying datatype is a date or whatever..) it converts automatically evertything expect NULL into a valid string.
Are there better (simple to use..) ways?

What's the best way for reading this binary file?

I've written a program that acquires data from a DAQmx card and writes it on a binary file (attached file and picture). The data that I'm acquiring comes from 8 channels, at 2.5MS/s for, at least, 5 seconds. What's the best way of reading this binary file, knowing that:
-I'll need it also on graphics (only after acquiring)
-I also need to see these values and use them later in Matlab.
I've tried the "Array to Spreadsheet String", but LabView goes out of memory (even if I don't use all of the 8 channels, but only 1).

But my real problem, at least now, is how can I divide the information to get not only one graphic but eight?
I can read the file, but I get this (with only two channels):
So what I tried was, using a for loop, saving 250 elements in different arrays and then writing it to the .txt file. But it doesn't come right... I used 250 because that's what I got from the graphic: at each 250 points it plots the other channel.
Am I missing something here? How should I treat the information coming from the binary file, if not the way I'm doing?
(attached are the .vi files I'm using to save in the .txt format)
(EDITED. I just saw that I was dividing my graph's data in 4 just before plotting it... so It isn't 250 but 1000 elements for each channel... Still, the problem has not been solved)

you are asking about Microsoft products and using a laptop, not a workstation Mac Pro.
The Numbers and Pages Apple Communities. or MS Community if you want those.
Importing and Exporting, but Numbers and Pages will not do a SAVE into other formats by default, and therefore have to keep using Export which is messy.

The problem is that I can't publish it for web because I don't have the engine's xtra .w32 file for it (I have only the .x32 file)

No - you have to have the source to compile to w32 or the equivalent Mac auto-downloadable package. Try contacting the author.

          The best way is using the tag lib. If you cannot, but you can use JAXP, you can

          You construct the transformer with you xsl, use you xml file or DOM to form xmlSource,
          and use JSPWriter "out" to form outputTarget (StreamResult). But if your JSP page
