Best way to include drawing in an email?

When writing emails, I often need/want to draw something to illustrate what I am talking about. Lately it was a rough plan of my house to show the rooms. Sometimes it could be an article of clothing. Nothing professional or precise.
I find that drawing with a mouse has a lot to be desired and would much prefer drawing with a stylus right on the screen, but failing that, I wouldn't mind using my fingertips. I do not want to use some other gizmo "in addition to" in order to draw something for the email or notes.
To do this, is the iPad my best bet? I can see myself ending up sending emails on my iPad if this is true.

Meg, I have thought about it overnight and am leaning towards getting the iPad2 with the hope that it might have some apps that let me incorporate my drawings, notes, and audio files into Apple Mail.
I have been watching some iPad2 videos on the Apple site and it gives one the impression that the person is writing words and drawing pictures with his fingertips right onto the iPad2 screen. Am I wrong in thinking this?
My desire is to be writing an email to someone and illustrating whatever I am trying to describe right on top of the email. Is that possible? Or would I have to do this in some other way? Would I have to draw a picture of, for example, a house plan or a new gizmo, and then attach it to my Apple Mail?
I downloaded AudioNoteLITE for my iMac last night and it is great, but it does not allow for drawing. It does allow for typing and recording sound. Then one can put the file into an email.
So are there any other solutions in addition to Bamboo Paper??

What's he best way to include Adobe PDFs on my blog?
I create worksheets as a teacher and would like to share them from my blog. Currently I am linking to Scribd etc to share PDFs. If I upload the worksheets as an image is there a way to adjust the size/resolution of the PDF for easier viewing?

PDFs are just files. Can you upload files to your blog space? If yes, just upload the PDFs then, in a blog entry, provide the web link (URL) for each file (PDF).
Or, place the PDFs into your free acrobat.com "files" storage (5GB free). You have one as you have an Adobe ID (needed to make your post here eh).

Or - same idea as above (use a "file share" service) -- Microsoft's OneDrive, Adobe's Creative Cloud, Google drive, DropBox, others ...

Best way to include 1-800, 866, 877, 888 into Device/line approach to CSS

I am running Call Mgr 4.1.3. Due to the number of small remote sites that we are expanding to, I have been using the Device/Line approach to Class of Service to minimize the number of CSSs and PTs. I used the textbook method of defining BlockLocal, BlockLD, BlockIntl, Block nothing. My LongDistance Translation Pattern is 9.1[2-9]XX[2-9]XXXXXX. This blocks 800, 866, 877, and 888 in my BlockLD partition. What is the best way to include these 8xx series toll free numbers into the Device/Line method so that they are included into the COS that allows local calling? My guess is that in the 9.1[2-9]XX[2-9]XXXXXX translation pattern assigned to the BlockLD partition, I would add 9.1800XXXXXXX, 9.1866XXXXXXX, etc, translations and click "route this pattern" and associate it also with the BlockLD partition.
Is that the correct approach - or is there a better approach? Thank you.

What I don't understand is how write this code in Adobe Edge so the jQuery scripts connect to images in my Edge composition.

Best way to include appendices to pages document

I am trying to transition from using MS office (for over a decade now) to using the Apple suite of apps.
I am in grad school so I write a lot of papers. I am working on one now that requires appendices at the end. I am working on the paper in sections right now (main body, appendices 1, 2, 3, etc..) and was curious what the best way to do something this is in pages?
Can you create different sections within one one document instead of simply copying and pasting the appendices at the end of my document? That would be a big hassle, going back and forth between different files. Like I said, I would like to be able to keep them all on one document.
Any ideas? Do you think it's perfectly doable in grad school to use only Pages for your word processing needs? (I've had to many crashes with Office on my mac, and am ready for the full change over.) Any advice, or suggestions?

Best way to include javascript-script into different struts-pages

Hi,
I'm running a struts-based webapplication using the tiles-templates for my layout. Now I have to use some javascript-code for a pop-up window and another javascript for tracing on multiple pages but in different combinations. As I do n't want to copy-paste it on every page, but put it on a single place for better maintenance I'm wondering what would be the best way to do this together with the struts-logic.
I thought about the following options:
1.) Using the "template:put" feature like this:
<template:put name='js' content="/myJavascripts.jsp"> I don't think this would be a good option, as I always have to include the whole javascript and I cannot distinguish between my two different javascripts
2.) Using the template:insert feature like this:
<template:insert template="/myJavascripts.jsp"/>. This is a lot better, as I can split my two javascripts into two different files and can always decide, which one to include with the template:insert tag. But I'm not sure, if this is conforming with the struts-concept, as I do not use any template:put or template:set tags
3.) Using simple jsp:include or <%@ include ... %> tags.
This would be the easiest way to include my pages with <%@ include file='/myJavascripts.jsp' %>. Same advantages like template:insert but I don't need the additionally features of the template:insert-tag. But still the same question: is this the concept of struts? Or will I become any difficulties with this concept later??
Any recommendations or further ideas are greatly appriciated.

Best way to include mathematical formulas?

Hi all,
my primary interest in possibles uses of iBooks Author are textbooks with heavy load of mathematical formulas. Without serious testing there appear some ideas how it may work.
Folks, did anyone made experiences (especially with the final appearance on the ipad) including formulas both inline the main text and in individual paragraphs? Any idea about automatic referencing/numbering?

Best way to send Christmas cards by email?

Based on other comments I've seen on these forums I advised my work this week that they should send their Christmas card email by creating it in iWeb and then sending it as an HTML message by choosing "File > Mail Contents of This Page" in Safari.
The problem is the Director just called to say that one of our clients said all he could see was the text.
Any idea what has gone wrong here? And what do people recommend as the best way to send Christmas card emails?

Not every mail client is able to or setup to view HTML content in web pages. JBK's suggestion is a sure fire way to get the content of the card so that any client or platform can view it (unless they have display of image content turned off and they have to download the image file and open with an appropriate application).

Best way of including timing in a waveform graph?

Hello all,
I've been toying with a number of different ways to do this, but so far I haven't had all that much luck. I've posted a picture so you can see what's going on. All I have is 4 plots that need to be plotted with accurate timing information on the x-axis. I guess I'm just wondering what the best way to go about this is. This method seems to be the most cluttered and messy that I've done, but is the only one I've gotten to have the actual correct timing info on the graph. I would put a wait in the loop, but I need to acquire this data as fast as possible. Thanks for any help!

The display options you have chosen are OK on their own.
If you're looking to get more speed out of the code, try only graphing the data every 10 iterations or so. You can save the processed data (your waveforms) in a shift register where they can then be appended every 10 iterations.
This will obviously not clean up your code. The best way to clean up your code might be to simply throw the conversions you're performing into a sub-vi. Or create a time input for your "meters" VI and have thr processing done there with correctly-scaled values being outputted.

Best way to include a jpg file in a project (where to locate the file)

Inside of my main VI - I am "building a path to the current VIs" directory where I have a jpg file. This jpg file displays fine when running this VI. To do this I get the current path, strip the VI name and then add the jpg name to the path.
Now when I build an exe file and run it the jpg is not displayed. In the build specification it appears to force the jpg file to be in the support (or data) directory. Because of this it can no longer find the jpg when running in exe form. I also notice that the path returned when running a exe includes the VI name as well as the exe name.
My question is what is the correct way to set up a path to this jpg (and perform an exe build) that will work both when I run the VI normally and when I use it as an exe?

Another option would be to add the image data as a diagram constant inside the VI if it the image should be an integral part of the VI. .

What is the best way to include external files in an application?

I am developing a vocabulary-training program (Adobe AIR using Flex Builder 3). Asks you what an equivalent of a czech word is in english and the other way. I am storing the "dictionaries" in external XML files. I would like to include about twenty of them in the installation. So far I just had them in the applicationDirectory, but now, I added an editing feature and I ran across the fact, that I cannot write into the applicationDirectory. So I figured the most intuitive place for the dictionaries would be in the documentsDirectory/name of program. However, how do I tell the AIR installation to make the according folder and include the files?
How do I do this, or what do you think is a better solution? Thanks!

where <appData> is user preferences folder, typically /Users/<user>/Library/Preferences

where <appData> is typically C:\Documents and Settings\<userName>\Application Data
Note: Vista uses "junctions", which behave like shortcuts but look just like regular folders.
    It is not possible to access them, and any attempt to do so will give you an "Access Denied" error.
    Here is the real folder location:

Best way to send GR document to email destination output printing

When a goods receipt document is printed, I need to send an email with the document attached. It does not matter if it goes to an external email address or to the SAPoffice (Workplace).
If it can not be triggered during GR output creation, I could just do it when the GR is processed.
What is the best approach? Can this be done in output determination or is there a user exit?

The requirement will allow me to check the PLANT. This is perfect. However, I can only set this up once per condition type.

I am using WE03. WE03 needs to print. I cannot define a requirement to stop WE03 for email, because it will stop it from printing.
In SD, I would create a new output condition for email (like ZE03). I could have a requirement on ZE03 to check PLANT and use it for email.
I thought there were issues with new output types in MM. The standard SAP processing programs have values hard coded. I remember seeing things like "WE" being concatenated to "03" to form "WE03" in standard SAP code. New output types like ZE03 will not work.
Maybe this has changed? Maybe I am wrong?

What's the best way to include many files into a website?

I have a several hundred documents that I would like to load onto my website. I'm trying to find a faster way than hyperlinking them all one by one. Right now they are in pdf format but that can change. I'm hoping for the end result to be one page (possibly with subpages) with the different links for the documents on them. The visitor doesn't necessarily need the ability to download them, just the ability to view them. Is there a faster way to bulk or batch load multiple files into a site? Thanks in advance.

Best way to draw thousands of graphic objects on the screen

Hello everybody, I'm wanting to develop a game where at times thousands of graphic objects are displayed on-screen. What better way to do this in terms of performance and speed?
I have some options below. Do not know if the best way is included in these options.
1 - Each graphical object is displayed on a MovieClip or Sprite.
2 - There is a Bitmap that represents the game screen. All graphical objects that are displayed on screen have your images stored in BitmapData. Then the Bitmap that represents the game screen copies for themselves the BitmapData of graphical objects to be screened, using for this bitmapData.copyPixels (...) or BitmapData.draw (...). The Bitmap that represents the screen is added to the stage via addChild (...).
3 - The graphical objects that are displayed on screen will have their images drawn directly on stage or in a MovieClip/Sprite added to this stage by addChild (...). These objects are drawn using the methods of the Graphics class, as beginBitmapFill and beginFill.
Recalling that the best way probably is not one of these 3 above.
I really need this information to proceed with the creation of my game.
Please do not be bothered with my English because I'm using Google translator.

Yes, my game will have many objects similar in appearance.
Some other objects will use the same image stored, just in time to render these objects is that some effects (such as changing the colors) will be applied in different ways. But the picture for them all is the same.
Using the second option, ie, BitmapDatas, which of these two methods would be more efficient? copyPixels or draw?

What is the best way to allow one to send an email? Confused.

I researched on the forum for the ability to have someone click a button and be able to have a blank email pop up. I use to use this all the time.
However my question is since Outlook Express (and for that matter now Windows mail) are no longer included in the new operatings systems ... meaning everyone has to buy a mail program ... what is the best way to have someone send an email? I am particularly not fond of forms and would rather have them be able to have an email pop up.
However now you will miss a lot of people ... I use Windows mail thus the Outlook express code gives me an error.
THUS MY QUESTION:
Is there general code (and if so what is it?) that allows a person to click a button and send an email no matter what type email program they have?
If not is there an other way to accomplish this?
If not, if I must use a form/action script 2.0 ... does anyone have a sure-fire 2.0 script that is easy to use/debug/modify?

I don't understand what you mean by "be able to have blank email pop up" but Yes you can send an email without the need of any email programs through ActionScript via PHP through the POST method. There is a simple example in http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/flash_php_email.htm
