Best way to separate non-music MP3 audio from iTunes Music files

Hello Joe Gramm, I have a couple of MP3 files that I listen to. They are not music but they downloaded into the Music section of my Library (the Christmas library actually). What is the best way to store them for easy access but not get mixed in with my regular Music library. Would creating another library be the best solution as I did with my Christmas music? They are on my MacBook Air but I will probably listen to them from my iPhone 5.

Ok so I have a fairly large mp3 collection(well over 100 GB). It is somewhat organized. It is all on an external HDD under the folder music then from there there are subfolders for genres, then bands, then albums. I am not sure I want to add all of it to my itunes library since there is a lot of it I never use, but I would like to add a good chunk of it to the itunes library so I can stream it to my appletv in the other room. I am trying to figure out the best way to do this. If I click "add folder to library" it only lets me select the Main Music folder instead of the subfolders inside. Any suggestions on how to simplify a mass add to the library would be much appreciatted. Thanks in advance.

That is not correct. When you click File > Add Folder to LIbrary, it opens a dialog from which you can navigate to any folder. If it happens to start with Music, then double-click to open until you find the folder you want, and then click Select.
Try it first with a small folder so you can see how it arranges the music within iTunes. Once you are happy with it, start doing slightly larger batches.

Hi, I have opened a new project in imovie - I have uploaded 200 photos into the project to make a Comic Book movie!
this project is 7 mins and 8 seconds long - the exact length of the audio track that I want to play during the movie!
I have selected the music by clicking the musical note button in imovie, which open up my itunes library and displays the track I want to use that is 7 mins and 8 seconds long.
When I click and drag my MP3 audio from itunes into my imovie project, i only plays the first 5 mins & 33 seconds; leaving my project in silence for the final 1 min & 3 seconds????
I have not added markers, there are no fade ins or fade outs - only the first 5 min & 33 seconds or a 7 min & 8 seconds MP3 Audio track???
I have spent 10 hours trying to rectify this problem.......
can anyone help me with this problem

My solution to this is to add the tag "Xmas" to the "Grouping" field of each Christmas song.
This little tag stays tucked away out of sight until Christmastime. Then, I create a new Smart Playlist where Grouping contains "Xmas." Voila.
The Grouping field can be useful for non-genre distinctions you want to add to your music, likesay "live" or "remix" or "cover."

Make sure you phone is logged into the Apple ID you used to purchase this music in Settings>Store. If it isn't, tap the ID shown, sign out, then sign back in with the ID you used. You should then be able to see your purchased music on your phone in iTunes>Purchased>Music. Also be sure you computer is auhorized for this ID in iTunes>Store>Authorize this computer.

As far as I'm aware an iPod Classic isn't tied to an Apple ID, therefore all you need to do is factory reset the iPod, sync your music library and plug in headphones, and you're ready to go!

As you probably know by now, DVD camcorders are not compatible with FCE or pretty well any other DV based editing system.
Possibly the simplest (though not cheapest) route would be by using an Analogue-Digital converter.
Streamclip and other similar programs are supposed to work but I have had no experience with them.
In the long run probably the best (but costly) solution would be to buy a Mini-DV camcorder - it doesn't have to be a top of the range model - even the cheapest ones can produce high quality video. Then you would not have to mess around converting DVD files with the inevitable loss of quality it entails.
A cheap DV camera need be not much more expensive than an A/D converter.

If you have created a new Windows user account you need to log out and then log back in with your original user name. By default each Windows profile will have an independent iTunes library.
If instead you managed to create a new library within the same profile. click the icon to start iTunes and immediately press and hold down the shift key, keep holding until asked to create or choose a library. Click Choose and navigte back to your original which should be at <User's Music>\iTunes.

in which case Selected Playlists is probably the best approach. Simply create a playlist for each device, Alice's iPod, Bob's iPhone etc. and sync the device with the appropriate list.

There are a few things you could try like phase inversion or possibly some EQ stuff, but at best you're going to get the instruments a little softer.
It's virtually impossible in most cases to eliminate specific elements of a full mix.
