best way to upload a large 25 minute video and where to?

Just a couple minutes surfing - YouTube only allows 15 minute videos from general users -- to upload larger apparently you have to be a trusted long time source.   There is also a restriction on the file size.
YouTubes help section should give you all the details.
I don't watch online videos - so I just used a query in ASK.Com to get some quick tips.

  • Fastest Way to Upload a 10 Minute Video For a Vlog?

    Hi all. I have a 10 minute video (484 MB) that I've compressed as a .MOV file. I'm trying to upload it to my website or to Internet Archives and it's taking FOREVER. Am I better off compressing it as an mpeg-4 or for ipod? Is it normal for 10 minutes of video to take 5-6 hours to upload to a website?
    Thanks.

    DUDE! FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTY FOUR MEGABYTES?!?!?
    You need to learn about compressor and H.264 - my short film (Killer Trees) is 10 minutes and is 41 megabytes...

    EDIT: I shouldn't say my film - I just cut it.

  • Best way to upload youtube videos in hd?

    my camera shoots in 720p whats the best way to upload to youtube thrue imovie 09 via share option or exporting ?thanks

    While the direct export from iMovie via Share is the easiest, I find that the couple of extra steps involved in exporting the file to QuickTime then using the YouTube uploader is definitely worthwhile.
    First you can 'fiddle' with the settings and I find using the mpeg4 codec produces a smaller file size than h.264 without any appreciable loss in quality.
    This is one of my 720p exports via QuickTime using mpeg4:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uw_4dCTPcQA&fmt=22
    and this is the method which I use:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZ06dOb0Mds
    As already mentioned try encoding with mpeg4 rather than h264 if the length and file size of your video is an issue.

  • What is the best way of compressing a large 3 hour final cut file

    What is the best way of compressing a large 3 hour final cut file. I shot the play and it is in final cut and I rndered it so now I have a 22gb file that I need to put on a dvd . Any suggestions
    Thanks
    Macbook Pro
    2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
    with Final Cut Pro 7.0.3
    using Lion as operating system

    Presuming your menus aren't complicated(include audio or video) the total size for the MPG-2 and AC3 files should probably be under 8GB for a dual layer disk. The inspector will tell you the estimated size. 2-pass varible bit rate would be recommended.
    Trying to fit 3 hours on a DVD-5 will only bring very noticable quality hits. Compressor will let you change the average bit rate so that you can fit 174 minutes but trade-off isn't worth it in my opinion.
    Be aware that dual-layer -R and +R media may not play well for everyone everywhere.
    I presume you are not making 1000 or more copies? If you were replication could solve this.
    One other alternative would be to break-up the show into two parts and spread it across two DVD-5s.

  • Best way to upload RAW photos to internet from iPad

    If I am on a trip and 64GB isnt enough storage for my RAW photos (and I am without my MacBook Pro), what is the best way to upload my pics in full RAW format to an internet location. Apps? Best site to store them on in full RAW? Thanks for the help!

    I just posted the same question. I also have a 64gb ipad, however, with movies and tv shows, games, apps for the trip, that only leaves 8-9 gbs. I could as you have suggested buy more SD cards for my camera..but was also hoping just to batch load 200-300 photos a day up to internet storage (which I am willing to pay for) and then dump them down when I get home. iDisk will do them 1 at a time, but that's not much of a solution. I have wifi where I am staying, so that isn't an issue. I wouldn't want to use a 3g data plan as the roaming would cost more than the trip. This would just let me bring just my camera & ipad (with camera kit). I was hoping to avoid a laptop too.
    Can it just not be done yet? Do I need to lug around my 13" macbook pro as well? My main question is not where can I get internet storage, but how do I get large amounts of photos off the ipad to that storage? idisk, dropbox, etc. Don't seem capable of transfering large amounts of pictures FROM the ipad.
    Thanks!

  • Best way to organize a large photo library on a 10.6.8 Macbook?

    I have an older Macbook pro- version 10.6.8.
    I am looking for the best way to organize my large library of photos (approx. 15,000).  I have both personal as well as professional photos that I would like to organize and keep separately. I currently use iPhoto'09 version 8.1.2 but it has become very slow and I would like to find a solution that uses better organization.  I am considering keeping my personal photos in iPhoto and my professional photos in another organization app.  I was thinking about purchasing Aperture, however it is only available for Mac OS X version 10.7.5 or later and the same goes for the latest version of iPhoto.
    I am a little confused about what my options are.  Can anyone recommend anything?  I am looking simply for a good organization tool, I am not interested in photo editing or anything beyond that.

    Well now we know that the speed problem is in your old library. Repair it.
    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Backing Up:
    Time machine will back up, yes. Just be sure it's set up correctly.
    Most Simple Back Up
    Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
    Slightly more complex:
    Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically. Examples of such apps: Chronosync or DejaVu . But are many others. Search on MacUpdate

  • Best way to upload to Flickr??

    I want to upload photos to Flickr, but the directory of photos is like some unknown maze of data files, thumbnails, folders, etc. About the only thing I dont see are the titles of my photos and the photos themselves!!!
    So first of all, what's the best way to get my photos into Flickr and second, why don't the photo filenames change when I change the title?? I know that I'll get some flack for this, but my Windows desktop actually makes better sense of organizing the files than iphoto 4. Anyway, thanks for any suggestions!

    By far the best way to share iPhoto with Flickr is flickerexport negating the need to mess about duplicating pics onto your desktop.
    Download, install and then flickr export is available through the share/export menu in iPhoto. Also provides the ability to assign tags/description/create a set etc.

  • Best way to upload form into WDA

    I am working on WDA containing Adobe Interactive form with Vendor Payment request.
    WDA will be called by workflow every time an approver has to approve the request.
    The form will reside at URL.
    What is the best way to upload an Adobe form into WDA?
    I found Web Dynpro example WDR_TEST_ADOBE_PDF_ONLY.
    This example demonstrates how to get a form data assuming the form object is created in the view.
    Is there a way to also upload a template into WDA?
    Or I have to have the form template in SAP repository and
    then assign the form name to  templateSource property in WDA?
    WDR_TEST_ADOBE_PDF_ONLY:
    method wddoinit.
      data:
        mime_repository type ref to if_mr_api,
        content type xstring,
        url type string value '/SAP/BC/WebDynpro/SAP/WDR_TEST_ADOBE_PDF_ONLY/test.pdf'.
      mime_repository = cl_mime_repository_api=>get_api( ).
      call method mime_repository->get
        exporting
          i_url = url
        importing
          e_content = content.
      wd_context->set_attribute( name = 'PDF' value = content ).
    endmethod.
    Thank you,

  • What is the best way to handle very large images in Captivate?

    I am just not sure the best way to handle very large electrical drawings.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Tricia

    Is converting the colorspace asking for trouble?  Very possibly!  If you were to do that to a PDF that was going to be used in the print industry, they'd shoot you!  On the other hand, if the PDF was going online or on a mobile device – they might not care.   And if the PDF complies with one of the ISO subset standards, such as PDF/X or PDF/A, then you have other rules in play.  In general, such things are a user preference/setting/choice.
    On the larger question – there are MANY MANY ways to approach PDF optimization.  Compression of image data is just one of them.   And then within that single category, as you can see, there are various approaches to the problem.  If you extend your investigation to other tools such as PDF Enhancer, you'd see even other ways to do this as well.
    As with the first comment, there is no "always right" answer.  It's entirely dependent on the user's use case for the PDF, requirements of additional standard, and the user's needs.

  • What is the best way to upload icons I created on illustrator, onto a photoshop file of a website design?

    I currently in the process of designing a website on Photoshop. I have designed some icons for the website using Illustrator. What is the best way to upload these icons onto the photoshop file and keep them looking crisp and high quality? I have tried a number of ways but all seem to come out pixilated.

    What you need to do is make sure you are creating the Illustrator icons at the same ppi as the Photoshop document and at the correct size. If you have created the icons say with 300ppi but are in pixels it won't carry the same properties as the website you are creating if that has been set up as 72ppi and therefore will distort.
    Once you have mastered that then you are best (if you think there may be changes to the icons later down the line) to create .ai files of each icon and place them intt the Photoshop document, then if you make any changes to the source .ai file it will update within you website design.
    If you don't see the icons changing then you can always just copy and paste directly from Illustrator to Photoshop and make any changes on the fly by making sure you keep it as a smart object.

  • What is the best way to upload invoices to A.R.?

I need your suggestions.  Kindly specify also the pros and cons and any other suggestions that you can give and also please point me to some reading materials.

    I've been looking for several days at examples of using a
    flash file uploader. I was after single or multiple file uploads, a
    progress bar and the ability to add "vanilla" form fields. The most
    promising I found was the YUI uploader from those nice people at
    Yahoo
    http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/examples/uploader/u...
    I got it working fine submitting to a simple CF page
    <cfif structkeyexists(form,"Filedata")>
    <cffile action="UPLOAD" filefield="Filedata"
    destination="#expandpath(".")#" nameconflict="OVERWRITE">
    </cfif>
    <cfif structkeyexists(form,"var1") and
    structkeyexists(form,"var2")>
    <cffile action = "append" file =
    "#expandpath(".")#\log.txt" output = "var1 = #var1# var2 =
    #var2#">
    </cfif>
    I'm a complete novice with Javascript, PHP, flash in fact
    anything other than CF, so there's a bit I don't understand (well
    several ... but this one in particular!)
    On the example in the YUI documentation they say they are
    using this PHP scrip to handle server side
    1 <?php
    2 foreach ($_FILES as $fieldName => $file) {
    3 move_uploaded_file($file['tmp_name'], "./" .
    $file['name']);
    4 echo (" ");
    5 } ?>
    The echo bit seems to "bounce back" the post data which is
    then picked up by the onuploadresponse(event). In CF how would I
    pass back some response to the calling page to fire this
    event?
