Beta 3 Expired

After i installed beta 3 last night, there was some eclipse
problems, so i uninstalled it and installed it again , now it says
beta 3 is expired, so i tried putting the serial for flex builder 2
, and it says invalid serial ?. what can i do to start using beta
3

Beta 3 will not accept FB2 serial numbers. For more
information, see
http://weblogs.macromedia.com/mchotin/archives/2008/01/beta_2_expiring.cfm.
As for the other people seeing "Beta expired" messages. Are
you using the beta 3 SDK build? There are two different types of
expirations with Flex Builder, the SDK and Flex Builder IDE. The
IDE shouldnt expire until March 15th, but you may see the
expiration message if you're using an older version of the SDK.
What happens if you download a new Flex 3 SDK from the
nightly builds page on Labs,

  • Adobe Flex Builder 3 beta expiration

    Hi Everyone,
I'm currently developing an application for Education
purposes in the UK using Flex Builder 3 beta (Built in Eclipse).
I struggled all the day with Adobe France, Adobe Europe,
Resellers to find a solution : our products will be locked in 5
days because we will be at the end of the demo.
I looked for education licenses for Flex Builder 3 beta, and
it seems that it's not possible for now. They told me to ask there
    for a solution.
How can we continue working on Flex Builder 3 beta ?
    Regards
    Eric

We're in the same boat here - the the behavour of xsd:all in
BETA 3 renders our Flex app virtually useless because of
communication issues with the backend webservice. We have studied
the proposed workaround suggested, unfortunately we only control
the FLEX app - we do not control the WS we have to integrate with.
As a result we've gone back to BETA 2 to do some critical
changes in the software but the "Beta expired." message we've been
receiving is really not well received. As we have been very
proactive in supporting development in the BETA phases including
reporitng bugs, we think that Adobe shoudl also have some
flexibility here and offer ways to extend the BETA 2. We're not
asking for any type of support during that phase - purely the
ability to compile our source until we can implement the full work
around which will allow the software to run on BETA 3. The
suggestion to change dates or go to previous restore points do not
work well here with our numerous developers.

  • Will renewed Beta expire?

I've recently renewed my Flash Builder 4 Beta with my Flex 3 serial number. Will this new Extended version expire at some point? I don't want to be in the middle of developing something and have it stop working.
    Regards,
    Jason Villmer

    Hi Jason,
The beta will expire near the end of this year. However, it should not be an issue. We plan to release a beta 2 prior to your beta expiring.

  • So... what happens when the beta expires?

Does our installation of the beta copy expire just like any other Adobe trial software? If so, anyone know when that time will come?

  • Beta Expired - Have Flex 2

I'm a flash dev, I use Flex 3 beta to write code because I
prefer it's error checking. I have a valid Flex 2 license, which I
entered into Flex 3. Now Flex 3 beta has "expired". All my projects
have been converted to Flex 3 so reverting back to Flex 2 is a
monumental pain in the arse, and I had expected Flex 3 to be
released by now... While I recognise that one response could be
"don't use a beta to develop with" is there any way that I can
further extend the Flex 3 beta until I can purchase it?

    Thanks peterd_mm
Sorry I should have specified more clearly. Yes, I downloaded
and installed Flex 3 beta 2. That gave me a bunch of errors. Then,
after deleting all flex things from my applications folder and all
config files that they place in the documents folder (why do they
do that? that folder's for documents, or so I thought...) I
reinstalled it without problems. 60 more days. On entering my Flex
2 license it says I have 136 more days.

  • CS6 beta expired, now CS4 won't start

I had Photoshop CS4 installed on my Mac, then installed Photoshop CS6 beta and uninstalled it after its trial expired. Unfortunately, CS4 now reports "license expired" at start, and then quits. I have my CS4 serial number but I don't know where to get its installer. I'd appreciate any help.

  • IOS 5 beta expired, but I cannot update to stable release... please help!

The iOS 5 beta has expired but I cannot update to stable release for some reason. So now the phone is rendered useless, what can I do?

Do you know where I can download it? thanks for the help!

  • Getting a beta expired error when trying to open LR3.2

I used LR earlier today, but now it says the beta version has expired and will not quit. I purchased the full version a couple of months ago and have used daily since that time. What can I do? I can't open LR at all.

I think this may have been my problem!!! After trying to install from the disk and the .exe in my program files, I downloaded the August 31 update. It didn't look like it wanted to work, but it finally did and is now working. (Just tried it again, to be sure!)
Thanks for your help. I was freaking out there for a bit.

  • FlexBuilder 2 Mac Beta Expired!

I started up FlexBuilder 2 on my Mac to do some work today
and I received a message that the trial period has expired. My only
options are to purchase FlexBuilder 2 or exit. Since FlexBuilder 2
isn't available for purchase yet, what can I do to get the Mac beta
running again? Thanks for any help!
    Paul

I restored by system drive from a backup and FlexBuilder is
running again. I lost some things since the backup was a few days
old, but at least I'm up and running again with Flex.
I'm almost certain that what caused the problem was running
DiskWarrior on the drive (it was a routine preventative maintenance
run and not a run to fix a disk problem). If you're running the Mac
FlexBuilder 2 Beta, I'd advise staying away from DiscWarrior until
    the official release is out.

  • Beta Expired?

The beta has expired and broken your phone?
Download the latest software from the dev centre, go into iTunes and then  click alt+Update and select the iOS6 firmware! It works like magic.

I just went ahead and did it (shift click on update - and choose restore file downloaded from dev page)
And it worked fine it seems.
No need to restore from backup
    Thanks for the help

  • Beta expired, iTunes says I'm up to date!

I can't even use my iPad 2 because the activation servers can't be reached. Trying to update in iTunes says my iPad has the current version of iOS. I really don't want to wipe my iPad and have to download 20 gigs of apps again. Help??
    Thanks.

I don't HAVE to have it for work but I am a disabled student so not having it at my disposal is a pretty big deal. I won't die but I'm not happy.
When did 10.7.2 come out? I wonder if Apple is just getting slammed. Or is it because Beta 7 expired tonight?
They still handled this extremely poorely. I tried updating through iTunes as soon as iOS 5 went public and it wouldn't let me because it said I was already using the newest version. I guess I have to wait to hear back from my dev but it seems like this would brick a ton of devices and make it really hard to update your device to non-beta status since you can't do it automatically.
If I go over my Comcast cap because I have to redownload everything I'm going to be mad. Didn't realize PO'd was cussing.
I'm also worried because I haven't had any contact with the dev in over a month. So what if I don't hear back??

  • Standard v Professional and when does this beta expire?

I just saw the email from adobe that included this little
    nugget of info:
We're also offering new Flex 3 packaging and pricing when it
    ships in early 2008.
    Adobe Flex™ Builder™ 3 Standard Edition
    $249
    Adobe Flex™ Builder™ 3 Professional Edition
    $699
Flex Builder 3 Professional Edition adds the following
    features:
    * Data visualization and charting components
    * Memory and performance profilers
    * Flex test automation framework
This appears to be great news for us that just to pure AS3
development as I don't use the charts and such. The memory and
performance profilers seem interesting but I'm not sure they are
    $450 interesting.
Why not an ActionScript developers edition? Take out the Flex
designer and add back the memory / performance profiler and sell it
for the same $250....Just a thought. Would be great for people like
me...and for those that just want a better AS editor for CS3.
So this says that Flex 2 pricing will be effected Nov 1, I'm
assuming that this beta will run for 30 days and then I could by
flex builder 2 for $250 and then enter that serial number and run
until flex builder 3 is released, at which point I'd need to buy a
second license for flex builder 3 standard for $250....which means
that I could end up with flex builder 3 now (running beta then full
version) for the same $500 that I can get flex builder 2 for
today...as long as I plan out my trial/ purchase.
    Thanks for listening Adobe!
    C.

I've read all this info in a couple of places. The fact
remains, here on November 2nd, that when I go to the adobe web
site, to purchase my copy, the price is still $499 for the standard
version of 2, and $299 to add charting. my boss is ready, willing,
and able over here to buy Flex2, with I guess the "support" package
to allow getting flex3 when it ships. But, why spend $499 for a
product that is supposed to have dropped about in half? Where is
the magic place to go to get the new pricing?

  • HT4367 How to update Apple TV firmware 6 beta when beta expired?

I installed Apple TV firmware 6.1.4. Now I see a message that that firmare has expired, and instructions to update connecting the Apple TV to a computer with iTunes. I did that, but iTunes downloads firmware version 5.3 which isn't capable to install. In the developers site I can't find a way to download the current version of the Apple TV firmware. Is there a way to pass the message that the firmware has expired and update to the current version?

Please post on the developers forum and not in these public forums.

  • Two part question 1) what happens if you  sign into messages beta on os x lion 10.7.5 after it expired? does the whole application not work or just imessage? 2) does installing messages beta on os x lion 10.7.5  delete ichat?

    Two part question
    1) what happens if you  sign into messages beta on os x lion 10.7.5 after it expired? does the whole application not work or just imessage? can you stil use AIM, jabbar, google talk, or yahoo?  if you open messages beta does it immediately tell you that messages beta expired?
    2) does installing messages beta on os x lion 10.7.5  delete ichat or just transform ichat into messages beta giving the illusion that ichat is deleted?

    Hi,
It was never completely clear whether it was just hidden or whether Apple ran a download page for iChat 6.
As the Download for Messages Beta was separate and "Deleted" iChat it would seem it would be another download for iChat 6.
iMessages will not function as it is only an Account type within Messages and iChat 6 does not have it.
Therefore messages on the iPhone will not sync to the Mac. (until you get Mountain Lion and Messages in that OS X version).
Mountain Lion and it's full version of Messages will not sync the iMessages that have happened in between the 14th December 2012  (end date of Messages beta) and the Install of Mountain Lion if you decide on that route.
