Better app for podcasts than 'Podcasts'?

I am tired of how the Podcasts app fails so often, behaves differently form the instructions in the manual, etc etc, has 'Playback failed' all the time, I have tried re-installing it, and still no luck. When you delete it, it says it will delete all its data, but hen oyu re-install, all the old podcasts are still there, except you have to re-subscribe to them. And then, still more 'playback failed'.
So is there another app I can use to download podcasts from iTunes and elsewhere, and play them for me. I am using a 4th gen ipod touch with ios 6.x.

Okay, so I just updated to the newest iOS 6 version on my iPod. And now I can't be in an app for more than 5 minutes without the app closing and I can't get back into the app for at least 10 minutes. Somebody, anybody please help me! This is getting really annoying!!! Please please please!

Any better option for email than iCloud?

I've endured iCloud for long enough. Apple keeps promising to get it working, rebranding MobileMe as iCloud, but still delivering a badly flawed product.
I've never had such an unreliable email service in all the years I've used the internet, which goes back to the days of bulletin boards before the internet was available.
I've had large numbers of emails deleted to oblivion, emails disappear then reappear, and yesterday 400+ emails retagged as "unread".
Now people are ringing me to say emails sent to me are bouncing back. Even the unsolicited discounts and extensions of service offered by Apple don't make up for such an unacceptably shoddy service that is just unreliable.
Does anyone with similar experiences have suggestions for a better alternative email system?

Purchased "Moneypad app" missing in App Store. I've used that app for more than a year and all my financial records are in it. I have the backup but I need the app. How can a purchased app go missing??? Is that even legal??

I've used "Moneypad" app to record my financial transaction for over a year and I got an update today. After updating all the icons where misplaced and there were a lot of bugs in the app. The update said "Restore original app icon". So I decided to delete it and reinstall the app but now i couldn't find the application in the itunes store both through my Macbook air and my iphone 5. What do I do now?? how can a purchased app go missing? Is it even legal to delete apurchased app from the itunes store?? What happened to my money and the worst part is my records cant be used in anyother application but "Moneypad". There were 2 version of the app in the store. One was free and the other One was paid. The free app is still there but the paid One is gone!! Please respond to this issue as soon as possible! I need it to record my daily transactions or it would mess up my work a lot! Thankyou.

Can I download once a app for more than one iPhone?

I would like to know... if could I download the WhatsApp Messenger on my iPhone 4 (which costs 0.99 dollars) and into my older iPhone without paying twice.

iPhoto is a consumer level photo storage and manipulation program,
It stores it's files in the iPhoto Library, which appears to be a file, but if right clicked on and "show package contents" is actually a folder with it's sensitive guts inside, including a folder called Modified and Originals which you can Finder > File > Duplicate and transfer out.
If you use iPhoto to delete a photo, it IS removed off your hard drive as well but only from the iPhoto Library folder/package, not anywhere else on your drive as iPhoto is supposed to import a copy if say you have some on your desktop already and import them into iPhoto.
So it shouldn't touch anything outside your iPhoto Library. So how you organize photo's outside your iPhoto Library is your business, however don't expect iPhoto to respect your wishes inside the iPhoto Library package, that's really reserved for iPhoto use only.

A better app for sms's

Good day.
For a year or so now I have been using whats APP on my Nokia 5230. The problem, as many might know, is that it takes an extremely large amount of battery power within a very short time. Thus leading me to charge my phone at least once a day and sometimes more. When I use skype on my phone or any other messaging application then it does not take a lot of battery power.
The other thing of course is thatnot everyone (unfortunately) owns a Nokia. My girlfriend has an Android based phone thus whatsAPP is perfect for us messaging each other, since she's in another country.
Are there any sms applicatoins that exist for android and symbian which takes up less battery power or is the Nokia developing board maybe in conversation with whatsAPP to decrease the amount of battery power it takes?
I don't know if there is another thread like this since the forum database is quite big and I can't look through the entire thing.
Please help me with this request. I think it would be great to have a well working sms application that won't kill your battery so fast.

You'll be pleased to know that an app called Viber is being developed for Symbian phones (it already exists for iOS and Android) and allows free SMS, MMS and voice calls. I've got it running on my Android phone and it doesn't deain the battery at all.
I don't know when it will be released so keep checking Nokia store or the Viber web site.

Can schools pay for one app and install on 5 others that are connected to the same iTunes account in a classroom? We do not have configurator

Not legally, no. You legally need to purchase one license for each iPad you're going to be using the app on. If Apple offers the Volume Purchase Program in your country, that's usually the most practical route.

Which is the better app for devloping a freelance design website?

I'm putting together a website for my freelance design business. I've rough out the site, but now I'm stuck between using Dreamweaver or Flash. The site is relatively simple with the common home, about, philosophy portfolio and contact pages. I know that Dreamweaver is a real workhorse and is very stable. But as a designer I want a little more glitz and freedom which Flash seems to have. If I do use Flash, I'm worried about bandwidth, search capabilities and device compatibilities.

The stability of Dreamweavere will have no little bearing on the stability of your web site--Dreamweaver provides tools, it doesn't teach you how/when to use them. Your decision on which way to go should be based on what it is you are trying to sell. If you are selling web site design, then you may want to temper things towards a non-Flash design base so that you can demonstrate your coding skills alongside the graphics aspects of it. If you are selling Flash-based designs, then Flash would be a good vehicle to demo the work itself. If Flash is not a big part of what you are selling, then it should not be a big part of what you put on display. But you can always mix things up, showing Flash elements and html/css elements, if the intention is to show well-rounded skills across the design options palette.
Be prepared for a large swing in differences in the responses.

Buying apps for more than one Touch?

I have two iPod touch's in my home and so far have used one on my laptop, the other on the homes desktop. However apps bought on one I can't load on the other. Now with the new sharing is this possible? I just don't see why I would have to pay twice.

If I'm not mistaken you just have to sign into your iTunes account on each computer and activate them both. This should allow you to have the apps downloaded on both computers.

Need Podcast player app for 4.2.1

I'm looking in the app store for good podcast player. Everything I find says I need 4.3 or higher, but my ipod can't be updated. Any ideas how to find an older app that will work on this ipod?

I think the chances of you finding such an App are slim frankly. Apple and (it seems) all the developers, are opting for iOS 4.3 as a minimum, completely ignoring those of us with older iPods. Unfortunately, most users with older iPods seem far too preoccupied with slating Apple, and not spending enough effort on trying to get the issue resolved.
Currently, there appears to be no method for searching for Apps by iOS version. You could try the site www.appshopper.com, and search for Podcast Apps. However, my attempt at this produced some very odd results, with strange omissions.
Appshopper doesn't even show which version of iOS is needed for an App. That's ridiculous and quite how such a site stays in business is beyond me! At least the iTunes Store does tell you which version is required, even if it's easy to miss.
I have to be honest; if I were seriously looking for a Podcast App, I would cut my losses after the tests I did with Appshopper and iTunes. I would have to check each one for the iOS requirements, and then check the suitable ones for the actual features I wanted.
On the iPod already:
Although it's limited, you can get Podcasts over Wi-Fi on the Touch.
The iTunes App on your iPod Touch (which takes you to the Store) does have a Podcast section (it may be on the More menu). If you find a Podcast you want, you can download it over Wi-Fi directly to the iPod. However, as far as I can tell, you cannot subscribe to Podcasts from the iPod Touch. In addition to that, if you already have at least one episode of a Podcast series on your ipod, then beneath the last episode is a Get More Episodes... button. Once again, it's not that good a tool. It means that you would have to manually look for new episodes of all of your podcasts in order to download the new episodes. That surely, defeats the purpose of Podcasts. (This may have been addressed with the "Podcast App" available to iOS 6 users, but that doesn't help us with iOS 4.2.1)
So, good luck in your quest. Sorry I can't be the bearer of better news.

Slow speed for downloading app and podcasts by WiFi

My Ipod Touch 5G is very very slow for downloading apps and podcasts, but not with internet browsing or youtube videos. I have an Ipad 2 with not problems in the same WiFi network. But the Ipad don´t have the last iOS update (6.0.1).
Anyone else have the same issue?

Download speed on wifi on my iphone is also slow, but only when downloading podcasts...
Running 6.0.2 on iPhone 5.
On WIFI I can download a 45 mb app from the appstore in less than a minute. I can stream Youtube and Netflix with no problems. Internet browsing - no problems.
But downloading podcasts with Instacast 3, Downcast or the Apple Podcast app happens at a rate of 20-50 kb/s when on WIFI. As soon as I switch to 3g (I am in a european country where 4g/LTE is not yet available) my download speed goes to between 300kb/s and 2 mb/s.

There's an app for downloading all podcasts?

Like most of you, I have subscribed to many podcasts. I have a USB charger so in most cases, the only reason I connect my iPod Touch to my PC is to update the podcasts in the iPod Touch. This is really tedious. As you know, we can't (normally) synchronize an iPod Touch with more than 1 PC. So if I'm not at home I have no way to update all podcasts at once. I have to manually download each single episode.
Isn't there any application that can updates every podcasts at once through iPod Touch's wireless Internet connection, without connecting to a PC? No, I don't want an application that downloads podcasts but I have to use that application to listen to them. I want an application that updates the podcasts I have subscribed in the Music menu.
Apple says that's app for just everything.. I can't believe it if there isn't any application that this simple task, if Apple doesn't allow third party applications to access users' podcast information. I had a PSP, and it of course had a menu that let me update every podcasts at once. It even had a reservation feature that updates all podcasts at a designated time. I just set the time, and forgot about updating. It just powered on itself, downloaded all podcasts, then put itself into sleep mode. iPod Touch can't do this?

The only apps I've found are not true T9 but rather multi tap ABC. I cannot find a true keypad texting app with iTap for the life of me. Can you guide me to one? Any help would be appreciated.
