The services you listed in your post will require a data plan which is provisioned by your wireless provider. You may want to contact your wireless provider to see if you have the correct plan.

Blackberry Curve 8330 and Exchange Email??

Just got a Blackberry Curve 8330 and was hoping I could use it to get my corporate email. We are using Exchange SP2 behind an ISA 2006 firewall and OWA is using a self-signed certificate for SSL. When I attempt to setup this email on my Curve it can not connect to the Exchange server. I was told that the Blackberry could use OWA to connect, but I am guessing either the ISA server or the self-signed certificate for OWA is causing the problem. I really love the phone and don't want to have to swap it for something else because of this issue.

Ok, well first things first, Does your company have a Blackberry Enterprise Server with their exchange??
If they do, u need to have a Blackberry Enterprise plan on your service and you can connect straight to their BES/Exchange.
If they don't have a BB server, you will need to create a pop3 email to link to your device, and have your company forward all your exchange email to your pop3 email.
This is so large companys must 'pay' a few grand to host a Blackberry server and thus have the email all go through fine..
If your company does not wish to do this, you must sneak around it the 'Blackberry Internet Solution' way...

Picking between the Bold and Storm 2

I have the blackberry Storm 2 and I'm having problems with sending and receiving bbm's, the phone freezes in the middle of texting, and during phone calls it hangs up on the person and I would then have to call them back. I've been to the store 5 times in the last month and am on my third storm 2 in a month. I was finally able to downgrade to the bold and I don't know if I should stick with the Storm 2 or switch to the bold. Someone please tell me.

In my opinion, the Bold is a nice, solid device without nearly as many issues as the Storm 2. Plus you can get OS 6 on it.
If you can live without the larger screen and touch screen, the Bold would be a very good choice. I've picked up the device in stores, and the build quality is superb.

Moving data between two blackberry curves

Please help - I am trying to move from one blackberry curve to another and cannot see how to transfer my info from one to the other - I tried through the desktop manager's backup and restore but it does not want to co-operate.

Can you be more specific about what the problem is?
Assuming you don't want to use both at the same time, you should use Desktop Manager's Device Switch Wizard anyway. It will automatically back up your old Curve and restore it to your new one.

Blackberry curve 8320 and MacBook pro address book issue.....

I have a BB Curve 8320 and MacBook pro and am currently using PocketMac for synching. My address book contacts have all been copied onto my blackberry except for the e mail field on each of the contacts. Very strange- names, addresses, phone numbers- all okay...no e mails???? Any thoughts. No other issues also with calendar synchs, etc.

BlackBerry Curve 8900 and the Exchange Server (((((PLEASE help me)))))

Dears, I am new to the BlackBerry world, and I just got my BB Curve 8900 last night, well I’m very familiar with other iPhone, Nokia& Windows Mobile.. I managed to push my gmail to my device, WOW it’s very nice, but trying to do so for my work mail!!! BAD LUCK They use Exchange Server, we do have web access but through SSL, so even so can’t push it to my device, some forums were talking about the desktop redirector, I install it on my PC (I can’t touch our server of course, even our IT will never listen to my request); having the latest Desktop Manager and the latest Desktop redirector, working with Outlook 2007& Vista OS.
I keep all of them running while trying everything, but always getting an Status: NO PIN in the Desktop Redirector window? I have the following Q’s please..
1- Is there is any S/W that I should install on our server? If so, it means it’s OVER for me and it’s BAD LUCK.
2- Why I can’t get my work email although of following the same procedures described in the installation guide?

I do not succeed in synchronizing my new MacBook Air OS X 10.9.4 with planner and address data stored on BlackBerry 9380 Curve. If I use BlakBerry Desktop for Mac, the message is "Sync Services is not active on this device. Please activate it" . But it seems to be impossible for a Mac with OS X 10.9.4. On the other hand, if I try with BlackBerry Link, I get this reply "Your smartphone must be equipped with BlackBerryu 10 software". Which is not the software running on 9380. As a result, I'm unable to utilize 9380. How can I fix it?

Blackberry Curve 8330 and Desktop Manager v5.0

I have a BB curve 8330 running the current device software, BB Desktop manager v5.0 and Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista and have just recently experienced problems syncing. I continue to get an error message such as below...
Faulting application DesktopMgr.exe, version 5.0.0.11, time stamp 0x4a4bd539, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e03821, exception code 0xc0000374, fault offset 0x000afaf8, process id 0x1dc, application start time 0x01ca41d751046e2b.
I've tried everything I can think of from reinstalling DTM, previous versions of DTM...getting rid of the "intellisync" folder that others have discussed...scanning my PST and OST files for errors, reconfiguring the sync settings...all with the same result. Everything is fine until it goes to read the calendar off of outlook and sync it...then it crashes saying the program has to close and windows will notify me if there is a solution....I've even tried running DTM with Vista's "Administrator" option and no dice...
I'm thinking this is an issue either with DTM or with the latest Vista Update (Windows 7 can't come soon enough!)....anyone else have any other ideas as to what this could be???

While you have tried many things, I cannot tell if you have tried this...so apologies if it is redundant in any way.
I suggest the following steps (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM DTM software:
KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
3) Get a fresh download of the RIM DTM software:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
Choose the version that is newest and (if applicable) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager for synchronization
4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
5) Install DTM to your PC
6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
7) Start the organizer configuration over:

Blackberry Curve 8330 and Act! 6.0........

Hello all, I was wondering if any of you had insight into whether Act! 6.0 is synching with the Curve. I previously had the Palm Treo 700P which is a piece of garbage and was lucky it worked at all. My company is upgrading to Blackberry and abandoning Palm, I see here on your product sheet that Act! 6.0 is supported but has anyone had any experience using this Blackberry with Act! as I always had alot of issues with synching Act! with any PDA and wanted to hear others experiences before settling on this model. I also read that Companionlink may be needed, however it doesn't bother me when nothing prevoiusly available would successfully synch my Palm with Act! without issues......

I finally received my Curve and I just wanted to share my positive experience with you all. It's simple as pie to sync Act! 6.0 using only CompanionLink and Blackberry Desktop, skipping the more difficult sync with Outlook then Blackberry method. I had it all done in under 10 minutes and it was a pleasure. I personally took my Palm Treo 700 and smashed it into a million pieces on the street in front of my job to celebrate. CompanionLink has all the instructions on how to do this easily here:

Blackberry Curve 8330 and newest PocketMac software

I downloaded the newest PocketMac version 4.1.25 in hopes it would help with some of the problems that I have had with the syncing. I haven't installed it yet, because I can't find anywhere that it supports my Curve 8330. I don't want to make matters worse, but installing incorrect software. Does anyone know if it works with my phone?

Blackberry Curve 8310 and New Macbook Pro

I have a year old 8310 and a brand new Macbook Pro. I have downloaded Pocket Mac for Blackberry but my Macbook will not recognize my 8310. I have been told that BB is working on a fix, but does anyone have a time frame? I really don't want to wait until 2010 to get this fixed.

Blackberry Curve tethering and file transfer

Hello,
So, I was told by AT&T that I can sync, transfer files and tether on my Mac. After several days and fruitless calls to them, I've decided to post here. I have it setup to my employer's enterprise server but also want to set it up with my Mac for music transfer and tethering. I am paying for the full data with tethering service and it is my device, not my employers, so I know it's not a security thing.
I've downloaded PocketMac and it is working fine. I'm not able to transfer files via Mac's bluetooth transfer tool though.
Also, after fishing around I have found that AT&Ts Communication Manager for tethering is only for PCs. Is there a way around this?

What a quandry! First off, you mentioned you can't transfer files via Macs Bluetooth software. So you went through the Bluetooth Setup Assistant to pair your Blackberry with your Mac ???? What happens when you try pair the two... please explain.

Check whether you have turned off wireless syncing in the Address Book under Options in your Blackberry. Also try only syncing across one program at a time (Address Book, Calendar etc..) all the data is transferred.

Help please: I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and I am unable to log into Blackberry Internet Services

and I am having problems in receiving my emails, it says that I have to reset my password. When I try and log in it says: username/password incorrect.
Have requested the password to be sent to my device, which I have now received but still unable to log in....not sure if I am using the correct username. Have been trying for days to obtain a reply from my provider (virgin) but they are unable to help.
does anyone know how I can retrieve my username?   plz plz plz....I am going mad!

Sadly, the only place to retrieve the information you need is from your carrier. Request escalation from their initial level 1 support up to their dedicated BB support staff.
