Bex Analyzer Amount not correct

Hi ,
I am facing an issue with Bex Analyzer. When I run a report from Query Designer on the web , the amount key figures displays as $772.97
However in Analyzer ,same amount displays as 0.00000773 . I
Any ideas?

looks like a scaling error. Do have any scaling relevant settings or is this done in the webtemplate (mutliplied by some factor) ?

IP - Issues with Input Query: Works on Bex analyzer but not on Web

I am doing the following:
Created a Aggregation level for a multi provider which has only real time infoproviders associated with it
Created the query using Bex Query Designer availing all the options for planning
When I execute this query it executes using a web template and does not open up the Key Figure cells for input, I had tried using the Web Application designer with Save button but still the same issue
I tried the same on Bex analyzer and it works fine
Please help to resolve the above issue.

Hi Ram,
Cells should be input enabled on the web just running the query. No need to create a Webtemplate, altough you need to have the webtemplate to be able to use the "save data" function.
Maybe your query is not input ready at all, and you're misinterpreting analyzer layout.
To test this, please enter some plan data in analyzer, right click and choose "save".
Please check if data is written to the real time infoprovider.

MS Excel in the Bex Analyzer is not working

If I start Bex Analyzer (BI7.0) , MS Excel is not working.
So There is no userid pop screen on the MS Excel Screen.
Whats' wrong ?

Which version of excel are you using?
Try with the SAP GUI 7.10 with the latest SAP BI Addon Component. You can download it from SAP Service Market place.
Downloads - Support Packages and Patches - Entry by Application Group - SAP Frontend Components - BI ADDON FOR SAP GUI - BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAP GUI 7.10 .
The latest patch level for SAP BI Addon Component is 1300 (bi710sp13_1300-10004472.exe).

Variable exit populates value in RSRT And bex analyzer but not on web

Hi everyone
I am trying to populate my end date with the number of days, and it gives me the right result everytime I execute the query in RSRT or when I go through the BeX analyzer in BI 7. So when I put 30 days, my end date automatically gets populated with the range todays date to todays date + 30 days.
But when I execute the same query through the query designer on the web, it doesnt get populated with the right value. and just gets populated with the range : todays date to todays date.
Please let me know, how to correct this value, I think the problem is how the web template has been defined. Could you please let me know, how to correct the error.

Maybe you should try to populate a variable on a global routine. Its works to us with for example a variable for a year to planificate and version. !!

Tabel control - amount not correct for currency

I m having a slight problem with a table control. First this is my table:

I have different includes in my table, because I have more then one table control, but everyhing is related so i work with includes.
In one of the includes i have an amount and currency.
First the amount is for example 1,00 and the currency is EUR. if i should change this to JPY i expect that the amount should change to 1 JPY like in transaction fv60, but this is not the case.
In my table i have a reference of my amount to the currency.
Also in the table control i have a reference. Is there something that I m missing?

I changed the attribute to 'CURR' and changed in my table the reference table and field and this works but...
when first I have an amount of 1,00 EUR, changed the currency to JPY, i get now automaticly 100 instead of 1.
Is this normal? What can I do to change in automaticly to 1?

CKF not showing correct results in BEx Analyzer

Dear Friends,
I am getting different results when viewed from BEx Analyzer and Web Analyzer for the same query. BEx Analyzer shows incorrect results. The column that is showing different is a local formula (say Formula3) that is a result of dividing Formula1 by Formula2.
BEx Web calculates Formula3 correctly while BEx analyzer does not.
I am in BI 7.0 SP 10.
Any Clues?

Bex Analyzer not connecting

I'm working on a new implementation. The Bex query designer, WAD and report designer all give me the log on box when trying to connect.
But the Bex Analyzer does not come up with this options. It just shows the normal Excel screen and when I click on the offnen (open) icon, nothing happens. My security setting in Excel is low.
Do youhave any idea?

Strange, it won't let me access the note now on the market place either. I did however save the note at the time we needed it so i'm certain it's the right number. Basically the note only points you to download a windows patch which fixed the issue for us;

Variable window not showing through BEx analyzer

HI Experts,
I am facing a weired situation with one of the variable.
I have a Customer Exit variable which is Input Ready and entry is Mandatory, i wrote some code in CMOD to fetch default values through I_STEP=1 and my requirement is that user should able to change the values if needed.
now, the problem is, I can able to get the variable input screen when i execute the query through RSRT with Query display mode as HTML. But when i execute the same query in BEx analyzer or through RSRT with different Query Display modes like List/Bex Analyzer am not getting the variable input screen.
The variable is taking the default value generated through CMOD code and the same values are being used in determining the query output..
Please suggest me what do i need to do inorder to view the Variable input screen in BEx analyzer.
I am using BEx Analyzer 3.x for the queries and working with

   SAP EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0

I found the solution in one of the SAP notes and the issue is resolved.
We used Note: "1609237" to resolve the issue. Hope this might help anyone who faces this same problem..

Opening Bex Analyzer in Webgui using NetWeaver Webdynpro

I have a Netweaver Webdynpro(Java) application which stores Transactions as favorite URLs (eg: SE37, SE38, RRMX..). When user clicks on the favorites link, the application supplies the URL to the transaction by appending the System , host details and the transaction opens up in a webgui.
This works for all transactions except RRMX for Business Explorer Analyzer(Bex Analyzer). For Bex Analyzer, the SAP WebGui opens up, but the Bex Analyzer does not open up. The message displayed is "Please install suitable Excel version."
Does anyone know what is missing?

Ok.. I have to add this. The BEX ANALYZER works in the same scenario for another link defined on Portal. So, the problem is not with the Excel/Office installation.
The only difference is that the link which works correctly on the portal : uses an Transaction Iview whose SAPGUI type WinGui.
Where as the application which we built forms a Url with the transaction code. So, when user clicks on the URL, what happens is the Transaction opens up in the WebGui mode. This is the main difference.
And, we have a whole list of transactions which needs to be opened and it would not be feasible to make seperate transaction iviews for each transaction. Currently, we are thinking of calling this already configured Transaction Iview for only the RRMX transactions. But, we are stuck trying to launch this transaction iview from WebDynpro.
Reason: The window closes after launching the Bexanalyser and we are unable to get the URL of this window before it closes. How do we read this PCD information from WebDynpro to get to launch this Transaction iview for RRMX?

Run report from Backend BI system using Bex analyzer

Dear All,
End user (GM) is having access to 5 queries (reports). Right now end user is accessing reports via enterprise portal system. Now requirement has come that end user will login to BI backend system and he should see the query names in his Role/User menu then he will double click on query name and it will point to Bex analyzer.
So end user will see reports via Bex analyser using backend system.
in backend BI system, in end user's pfcg role, i added role menu as BW report ID, it is showing in end users's user menu, but when he click on that..it is pointing to Bex analyzer but not opening report. Then again end user has to type query name there and execute...
please advise how end user can see all query names in his role menu's ?

Problems installing SAP GUI 7.1 patch level 4 for Bex Analyzer

Hi all,
I have a problem installing the SAP GUI for BW - running office 2003, have tried to install without success. The old Bex tools seem to work, but not the new ones and when opening any of the tools report designer or web application designer I get the error : System configured incorrectly. The new functionality in Bex Analyzer do not respond when clicking on the icons.

Working in BEx Analyzer but giving error dump in Web Analyzer

Hello Experts,
I have a BEx Query, that has couple of customer exits for initial filter selection, and some base KFs and conditions as part of definition. When I run this query in RSRT or in Bex it was running fine, and results showing up in 3 to 5 seconds hardly 10 seconds.
but the same query throwing error in Portal / Web Analyzer.
error contains;
Error Summary : error processing the current request
root cause: The initial exception that caused the request to fail was:
java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException
Messages: warning there is a condition on Plant and Material to suppress results.
contest: under this heading many line of HTML code
when I debug the query in RSRT, I found any issue, all the exits, and the query is quite OK.
does anyone has any idea, whats going wrong?
we cannot suspect the portal / Java patches or anything, Because we have other queries running good.
could someone give me some idea..how to go through this portal/web related errors.?

This issue was caused by "Bad programming in Customer Exit". Exit is trying to give too many Single values as selection to certain batch characteristics plus some are redundant. So code logic modified to fetch distinct values hence problem solved.
it worked in BEx analyzer but not in Web is just because of its limitations. As I said there is no syntax errors in the exit rather bad logic.

BEx Analyzer 7.0 formatting

Hi Experts,
I have an issue when creating workbooks in BEx Analyzer 7.0.
Most of the times when I include a query in the workbook (with the Analysis Table) everything is fine with the formatting. But for some queries the formatting in BEx Analyzer does not work, and I get a table without any default formatting. The formatting I am talking about is the default formatting which is achieved by setting the tick mark for "Transfer formatting" in the Analysis Table.
Does anyone know what could be the issue here ?

Found the solution myself. There is a tick mark in the query designer called "Adjust formatting after refresh" which was not set for the queries that did not work.

Using Variants Created in BEx Analyzer in BEx Broadcaster

We are experiencing an issue where variants created in BEx Analyzer are not available to be selected in BEx Broadcasting.
What we are trying to achieve is when we have a Variant that is created in BEx Analyzer, we want to use the same variant in our BEx Broadcaster, which is found under the Tab General Precalculation and the option Determine from Variants.
For some background, we are on NW04S Patch 9 with BEx Front End 3.5 Patch 10.
Does anyone have any inisight on this issue?
