BEx Analyzer delay opening

Hi,
In our company there is a very particular case with the Bex Analyzer and users are beginning to be impatient. We have checked everything, but I would like to confirm if it is to share something of SAP or Microsoft.
We have computers on the same terms of hardware and software, and installation of SAP Business Explorer with patches installed. In some computers it works well and in others, however, when you run the BEx Analyzer, it takes 4 minutes to open the Excel.
The computers have installed:
- Windows XP SP3
- .NET Framework 3.0
- Office 2003 SP3 and patch "office2003-KB907417-FullFile-ENU.exe".
- SAPGui 7.10 and patch "gui710_11-10002995.exe".
- Business Explorer patch "bi710sp08_800-10004472.exe".
Tests:
1. If we open the Excel without using the Analyzer, it works correctly.
2. After 4 minutes of delay in the initiation, Bex Analyzer works correctly.
3. BEX Analyzer have permissions to create dll's in the temporary folder: "c: \ Documents and Settings \ user \ Local Settings \ temp."
4. Uninstallation of Office and SAP, followed by the installation from scratch.
Thank you very much in advance.
I expect an answer.
A greeting.

Hello,
We solved the issue :
When you start Some BEx components there is an internet call to verisign.net servers :
The BexAnalyser and all new Businex Explorer are trying to access internet each time we use them.
The CLR tries to contact CRL.VERISIGN.NET for updating the system list of revoked certificates.
On computers having an IP connectivity but where connecting to CRL.VERISIGN.NET is impossible (firewall or proxy blocking access for example), the launch time could take up to 5 minutes :
t0 : launch Analyzer
t1: triyng to access internet "CRL.VERISIGN.NET" : wait x seconds until timeout
t2 : retry to join CRL.VERISIGN.NET
t3 :retry again
after x tries the Analyser starts.
So you must find the way to tell the CLR not to contact the Verisign revocation
There is an option on Internet Explorer options : (advanced options on the IE Tools menu / Last tab):
Unselect the "update the list of revoked certificates", the restart the Bex, you will be happy
Hope this helps and solve your issue,
Regards,
Karim

  • Error with BEx Analyzer to open

    Hi,
    I am facing with this error message with the BEx Analyzer (Office 2007) when trying to open any query.
    " A critical program error occured. The program has to close. Please refer to the trace for further information".
    The patch level of GUI is 5(SAP GUI Final Release) and patch level of BEx Analyzer Support Package 0, Revision 461.
    I really tried many different options from SAP Notes etc, but did not work. Please let me know if there is anyone faced with this situation or anything that I can do?
    Reward points will be assigned.

    Hi Kumar,
    The critical program error means the frontend installation is not proper.
    You need to check the frontend installation as per note 918394 and ensure that all the dlls are green and the frontend patch is latest.You can use GUI 640 with BI 7.0 frontend.
    Which front-end version you are using.The frontend patch level is found in the BEx Analyser -> BEx Tool-Bar
      -> yellow question mark -> Help -> About => Version <xx> Patch <xx>
    Please goto
    -> service.sap.com/patches
    ->entry by application group
    ->SAP Frontend Components
    ->SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS
    ->SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS 6.40
    ->SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS 6.40
    ->Win32
    ->Apply the latest patch..1600
    This should resolve the issue..ensure .net and other prerequisites are installed as per note 877774.

  • URGENT: SAPBEXonRefresh or Callback in BEx Analyzer after opening query

    Hi everybody,
    I'm trying to create an standard excel sheet which should be used by default when opening queries. This works so far...
    My goal is to change the format of specific cells in order to get a nice layout and design. If I use the functions SAPBEXonRefresh or Callback (used in the SAP standard sheet) it is just possible to change the format <b>after</b> a refresh. I want to access the cells after the selection of the query, when it's first launched. This does not seem to be possible...
    The functions are declared in the sheet settings dialog and the corresponding sheet is also declared as default in the global setting.
    Now I have to <b>first</b> open the query, which also opens the standard sheet. <b>Second</b> I have to manually do a refresh, that the code in the functions can work as expected.
    Does anybody of you has an idea or solution?
    Thanks in advance,
    Joerg

  • Problem-taking a long time to open Bex Analyzer

    We upgraded from BW 3.1 to BI 7.0 SP9, Front End SP 9, Patch 3, Revision 370 and have a problem when we try to access Bex Analyzer.  The response time is very poor. It can take as long as 3 minutes (or longer) for Bex Analyzer to open after we click on the Bex Analyzer option.  When we were on BI 7.0, Front End SP 7, the response time was better but since upgrading to FEP 9, the time to open Bex Analyzer from our PCs is very long. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, how was it resolved? Thanks

    You might want to trouble shoot with web log from BINW2004s forum topper and Front end Champ Prakash ...

  • Open another workbook with a button in Bex Analyzer

    Hi,
    is it possible to create a button in a workbook in Bex Analyzer which opens another (specific) workbook in a new window?
    Or is there another easy way to open a specific workbook in Bex Analyzer.
    Best regards.

    Hi,
    You can configure excel to open each document (e.g. workbook) in a own window, within options (display ->windows on taskbar).
    You can also have 2 excel windows logged on to different BW systems (e.g. QA and PRD) bij opening not Bex but Excel for the second session and opening the BW Addin mannuelly via the Extra's -> addin menu...
    How to open a specific workbook is beyond my current knowledge..

  • TRYING TO LAUNCH BEx ANALYZER FROM R3 SYSTEM, WITHOUT LOGIN AGAIN...

    Hi mates,
    We are trying to launch BEx Analyzer, with a Program/Function from R3 System, using an RFC.
    1.- We create a program in R3 system (4.6c), in that program we try to call BW (SAP BI 7.0, SP18), with:
            - CALL FUNCTION 'RSAH_LAUNCH_TRANSACTION_SLAVE'
              DESTINATION **RFC TO BW**
             EXPORTING
            TRANSACTION                  = 'RRMX'
    or
           -  CALL FUNCTION 'RFC_CALL_TRANSACTION_USING'
              DESTINATION **RFC TO BW**
                 EXPORTING
                   tcode                         = 'RRMX'
                   mode                          = 'N'
    With that, or calling an Z transaction, with an Z program, and calling the next functions in the BW program:
             'RSSEM_QUERY_LAUNCH'
             'RSAH_LAUNCH_EXCEL'
             With o without setting Infoprovider and Query or Workbook in the functions.
    The result was the same:
    1.- R3 call BW - OK
    2.- BW call BEx ANALYZER/EXCEL - OK
    3.- Analyzer shows, but the user have to login again in BEx Analyzer to open queries or workbooks, and that step we are trying to hide to the users.
    We need that users call BEx ANALYZER from R3 to BW using an R3 program or transaction, without login again into BW or BEx, but it seems like there is a problem with ANALYZER, RRMX (and its functions) and SSO.
    RFC works fine, and is "trusted". Remote connection and Test Connection works OK.
    If you make a REMOTE ACCCES with the RFC, and call RRMX, the result is the same, you have to login again in BEx Analyzer, to open queries or workbooks...
    We think, must be something wrong with the SSO, or the SSO with BWE and BEx Analyzer, i mean something wrong with the standar or versions.
    We tryied with:
    1.- BIAddon 9 in Excel 2007
    2.- BIAddon 6 in Excel 2003.
    We really appreciate your help.
    Best regards,
    Bruno.

  • Cannot open query in Excel (BEX analyzer)

    Hello Experts,
    Issue: Cannot open the BEX report in Excel but can open the same report on IE.
    1) I am trying to open a BEX report "ReportA" in Excel (BeX Analyzer).
    2) As soon as the report opens it shows me a message "Do you want to open the 3.X workbook for upgrade"
    3) I click on "OK"
    4) then i get a message window listing a lot of warnings liike " Access to project denied"  "creation of items failed"
    5) i click on "OK"
    6) Now, variable entry screen appears
    7) i enter values and click on "OK" the report does not show any data.
    Now, the same report "reportA" when i open it in Internet Explorer, it displays data. What can be reason for this problem in BEX analyzer ?
    Please comment.

    Hi Suraj,
    If you want to execue your query, you can use the bex analyzer.
    If you are opening the query from query designer 3.x query in 7.0 fronend, it will get upgraded and then cannot be reveted.
    In your case this automatic migration might be havng some issues, owing to complexities.
    Please recheck.

  • Error Message while opening workbook or Query in BEx Analyzer

    Hi all,
    Whenever I try to open any workbook or query using Bex Analyzer I get an error message saying "Serious error occured while reading history folder" Message class RSOBJS, number 170. But this doesnt stop me from opening the workbook or the query.
    Kindly help me to suppress or eliminate this message. I am not able to find this message in the list of messages available in RSRT either.
    Thanks and Regards
    Mui Kanva

    Hi Mui Kanva,
    Does your problem occur in a copied system?
    I have same problem in our Quality-BW (copied from productive system). WE are in our QBW not able to activate personalization correct and get the same error messages. I suggest the reason in the fact, that the source-system Myself (QBW) does not work correct. This reason causes that export data sources could not be activated via RFC-Connection.
    Please check to activate your source system?
    We accept the error messages in our QBW and did not activate the RFC connection.
    Regards
    Andreas

  • Workbook in BEx Analyzer doesn´t open

    Dear all,
    I´ve a problem, because I have a user on the bw and I work with the BEx Analyzer.
    When I open a special workbook there comes a white screen and then nothing.
    I deleted the user I´ve used and created the user new but still the same problem.
    But when I create another user id the problem doesn´t exist.
    What can it be?
    Or are special user parameters set in the sap bw? because I have not set any parameter

    the authorizations are ok.
    I´ve made a authorization trace with ST01 and that´s not the problem.
    A few weeks before the problem doesn´t exist. But after a few weeks I´ve opened the workbook and it doesn´t open.
    Is it possible to delete the user but that all things of the user will be deleted like entrys in tables of the customizing where the user is in?

  • Problem opening a query in BEx Analyzer 7.10

    Hello,
    we have problems with the BEx Analyzer, an empty screen is
    displayed when we open a query.
    I'm going to explain the steps:
    We open Analyzer, goto open query, logon into BW window appears and then, before the screen to select query from an Infoarea, roles, etc is load, the Analyzer seems to open the SAP Logon and an empty screen from R/3 appears.
    We can not close this R/3 empty window, only when we close the Analyzer this windows is closed.
    The problem happens with the SAP GUI 6.40, so we updated to
    SAP GUI 7.10, installed patches, addons and windows/ office
    patches but the problem persists.
    How can we solve this issue?
    Thanks in advanced.
    Best regards,

    Yes, I have done all the installations that the notes said and the pre-requisites:
    - Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 + .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 + Hotfixes and windows update + Microsoft Visual J# .NET Framework 1.1.
    - Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 + .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 + Hotfixes and windows update + Microsoft Visual J# .NET Framework 2.0.
    - Microsoft Officce 2003 patches (KB907417, KB945185) + Office 2003 SP3
    - bi710sp03_300 and bi710sp04_400
    - gui710_6-10002995.exe and kw710_1-10004321.exe
    But the problem persist.
    I have executed BI Frontend installation check tool (sapbexc710.xla) and seems everything is OK.
