BEX error with iTunes

Dear Apple Support,
I really need your help! I did a disc clean up for my C: drive using Windows Vista. After doing so, my iTunes wouldn't open so i tried uninstalling it and then re-installing it back and i would still get the same error messages, which do not even open iTunes.
Please help me resolve this problem. Below is the detailed error i get once i try to access iTunes.

Try updating your QuickTime Player to the most recent version. Does that clear up the iTunes launch errors?

I continue to get r6025 runtime error with iTunes version 10.6.3.25.  Have uninstalled and reinstalled twice.  Happens when I search in iTunes Store.  Ideas to fix?

    Hi,
got it fixed! My Son had both files on his Win7 iTunes installation. Never mind he had no issues whith ths iTunes and iPhone Sync. So I checked my other Win XP PC, where I don't have this problem syncing my ipad, and surprise. Both files do NOT show up on this PC. So I renamed the iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe I found under c:\program file\iTunes and synced again my iPhone and it went through without any error. So the problem might be and unremoved iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe or the missing iTunesPhotoProcessor.dll under the iTunes install root folder and this even if I had checked that the folder was completely removed during iTunes unistall.
Please try yourselve and just rename the iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe to iTunesPhotoProcessor.exe_ under c:\program file\iTunes or get a copy of the missing iTunesPhotoProcessor.dll and cp to c:\program file\iTunes.

  • How to fix Communications error with Itunes in FronRow

I've had the " An error was encountered while communicating with itunes" message whilst trying to play music in Fron Row.
I ran Apple support and they advised me to check on the settings for where the itunes library was located. I did this and stiil the error persisted.
After much searching I found the solution... Completely remove iTunes then reinstall it.
    Heres how...
Drag the application's icon to the Trash. Open the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder and look for one or more preference files named "com.apple.iTunes....plist" and drag them to the Trash. Look in /Library/ folder for an iTunes folder and if you find one drag it to the Trash. Look in /Home/Library/ folder for an iTunes folder and drag it to the Trash. Last, in /Home/Library/Preferences/ByHost/ folder look for two files with names com.apple.nnnnnnn.plist and drag them to the Trash.
Open Activity Monitor (Utilities folder) and in the process list look for iTunesHelper. Select it, then click on Quit Process icon. Quit or Force Quit the process. Now open the Accounts preference pane, click on Login Items tab, look for the iTunesHelper entry and select it, then click the "-" button and remove it from the list.
Empty the Trash. This should fully remove iTunes and its associated files/folders.
It works like a dream, the communication error has gone and I can play music once again. Hope someone might find this helpfull

I'm glad you found a solution that worked for you and appreciate your clear description.
It does seem a bit drastic, however. For others I would suggest at first trying one or both of these Apple support suggestions:

  • 5002 error with iTunes 9.1 when updating apps

I'm getting a 5002 error whenever I attempt to update an individual app via a 'Get Update' button in iTunes on all accounts on the machine. The app still downloads, but the error dialog comes up every single time. This did not occur prior to an update to Mac OS X 10.6.3 and iTunes 9.1.
Anyone else having this problem or know of a fix? Note that I have already tried the following:
    - Clean/reinstall of iTunes.
    - Removal/re-add of all apps (and confirmation that even with iTunes only having one app 'installed' the same problem occurs).
    - Update of account details.
    - Removal and deletion of all ad-hoc builds/apps with 'generic' icons.
    Full error message:
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (5002).
There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."
This doesn't happen with 'Download All Free Updates', but with multiple account downloads still broken, that button's only an option for me if the apps are for a single account.
    Message was edited by: CraigG

The updates still download on my Mac, too - but the dialog is clearly something that shouldn't be there. Regarding the 'major version' error, that, as I stated, is down to multiple accounts. According to my communication with Apple, this is not intentional, but there's also not a timeframe for a fix. (This error started when the update screens started showing apps from all accounts, not just the one signed in.)

  • Error with iTunes "The iPod Group Storage cannot be used with iTunes...."

I bought a usb hub to accomodate my multiple usb devices. I plugged my iPod into this and got the following error:
"The iPod Group Storage cannot be used with iTunes because it is not formatted properly."
I plugged the iPod into the computer rather than the hub. Same thing
Tried to restore, per the error message's direction. It says it has restored it to factory settings, then it brings up that message again.
I uninstalled and re-installed iTunes. Same thing. It was playing fine but it needs re-charging now and it won't because of the error.
Does anyone have any ideas? I don't know what to do now.
    Thanks.

Try to reset your iPod using the recovery mode as described in this support article
However, this will erase the iPod completely. If you have an iTunes-backup on your computer you can restore your iPod settings later from the backup.
I have never tried this in WIndows, however. The procedure might be slightly differeent.

  • IPhone 3G 2.1 connection error with iTunes 8 on Windows Vista Enterprise

I was previously able to connect my iphone with my work computer (Windows Vista Enterprise) and it would recognize my phone. However, since I updated my iphone to version 2.1, it will not recognize the phone and gives me the following error message:
"iTunes could not connect to the iphone because an unknown error occured (0xE8000024)."
I am able to connect my phone with version 2.1 to my home computer running Windows XP SP2.
Any idea what may be causing the connection error in Windows Vista?

    Hey TranceCadet,
This could be caused by a USB connection issue.
Make sure the iPhone is directly connected to a high speed USB port on the PC and not plugged into a hub, monitor, or keyboard. Disconnect any other USB devices, other than the keyboard and mouse.
This article has some general USB troubleshooting tips: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1286
You may also want to disable or reconfigure any security software. This article will walk you through putting the PC in a selective startup mode, which will bypass most application conflicts.

I just want to know if it's just me or if the store is down itself?

I have been recieving the same error for the last three days (Feb '08) I can access every part of the iTunes store except shopping cart. I get the same message on two different PC's.
I have been using Shopping Cart as a "wishlist" and really dont want to have the contents cleared as I cant remember everything I've put in there. This bug seems fairly prominent on Apples part based on the number of posts about it in the forums.
Can someone point me to a good source of info on a fix for this?

  • App Install error with iTunes 7.7 (Facebook and MySpace Apps)

Whenever I try to sync either the Facebook or MySpace apps from the App Store, I receive the following error:
The application "Facebook" was not installed on the iPhone "Ray's iPhone" because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000013).
    and
The application "MySpace" was not installed on the iPhone "Ray's iPhone" because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000013).
I've tried deleting and redownloading the apps multiple times. Anyone else had this problem or gotten around it?
    Thanks - Ray

I downloaded a few free apps also and it didn't take. When I tried downloading it again it said that it's already downloaded and I have to sync the phone up with iTunes and click Store -> Check for purchases.
Well I did that, but the Store is still down so it didn't sync it with the phone. I'll keep trying.

  • Keep getting an error with itunes Please help

I'm a first time user with itunes I just bought my ipod a couple of months ago and everything has been working fine, but when I went to charge my ipod and all my music had been taken off my ipod. I did mess with my settings a little bit and I think that is what caused that to happen. well I put the default settings back on and I went to sync my music and about half way through i got a message that Could not sync my file and error (-69) has occurred. If anyone can help please do!

See if this trouble shooting article helps.
iTunes displays error 69 when syncing iPod.

  • Sync error with iTunes

My iPhone has been having a weird problem. When I sync it with iTunes, it gives me an error message saying "The iPhone 'xxxx (iPhone name)' cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (13019)." However, when I look at my iPhone, everything that should have been synced is, including new information that was not on the iPhone prior to syncing.

I have the same problem. Last week, I went to an Apple Store, but there were no Genius appointments available. I was redirected to a manager, who explained how to fix it. It didn't work for me, (I still no longer have any music from my Itunes library on my phone), but maybe it will work for you. Here are the instructions I was given:
    1. Plug your phone into a USB port on your computer.
    2. When the error message pops up, click out of it.
    3. In the menu on the left, right-click on your Iphone; Left-click "transfer purchases."
    4. Right-click on your Iphone again; Left-click "back-up."
    5. Right-click on your Iphone again; Left-click "restore from back-up."

  • -42023 error with iTunes 8

This is an excerpt from my email to iTunes Store Support. I've found quite a few others experiencing this error (though the previous discussions on this I read on this board I can't seem to locate now??) but found it on quite a few other discussion boards. I thought this my be useful to others.
+The -42023 error which I've and others have repeatedly received is a problem with the iTunes Plus Upgrade only and occurs as the track tries to replace the earlier DRM track and a conflict happens with the file rights/permissions. This then causes problems playing any iTunes purchased DRM purchased tracks requesting computer authorization (which will not work - will only loop the same request and denial to play). As I've said this will rectify itself simply by restarting iTunes, but if you have downloaded tracks which are in download cue which have received the -42023 error, you will lose those tracks. iTunes Store sees these as already downloaded even though they errored out and never updated the tracks. They will be in your username/itunes/itunes music/downloads folder but will not be able to be opened.+
I may be wrong about some of the details of what precisely is happening but it certainly appears consistent with my experiences. If someone has any further info I (and maybe Apple) would be very interested to hear.
    Thanks
Updated Note: It appears this error has happened to others purchasing new tracks, though that has not been my experience.
    Message was edited by: tcb

    Correction.
It is not only with iTunes Plus Upgrade. I just tried redownloading an iTunes Plus album after support reauthorized them and only 3 of the 22 tracks downloaded without the error. Repeated efforts so far have been fruitless. Even tried deleting the download folder which will restart the download from scratch with the same error.
Now if I don't get these before I restart iTunes at some point in the future I'll loose these again and will have to go through the whole support rigamaraw all over again.
By the way I have no operating firewall nor any web accelerator or the like and have no network problems.
I hope Apple fixes this. It would be nice if they'd even admit it exists.
update: And yes any earlier purchased DRM protected 128 iTunes files request authorization (which it won't accept) and so I can't play until I restart iTunes, which means I loose all the files I'm trying to download.

  • Found New Hardware Error with iTunes and Motorola L7 SLVR

    Hi,
I reinstalled iTunes because when I connected my phone via USB I would get an error in Found New Hardware Wizard: There was a problem installing this hardware. Motorola Motorola Phone USB Device. After reinstall, I opened iTunes and no error until it asked me to 'convert my phone for use with iTunes'. Once I said yes, it did something to the phone and then the error re-occurred. I am using the latest version of iTunes.
    Shiff1

None of the steps outlined in the referenced document resolved the problem. In addition, simply connecting the iPod to the system now has the added effect of freezing my wireless connectivity. I can still get iPod connectivity to the system, but I'm offline until I reboot again (w/o the iPod connected).
When I try the second set of steps recommended in the attached note ("Disable conflicting System Services and Startup Items"), and had only the iPod selected, the system would not allow a complete boot up at all (kept sending me back to edit the System Services screen). It would then not allow me to restore the system to the selections that were previously on the computer. A mess!!
I ended up doing a complete system restore (back to a prior system configuration) and that corrected the problem. But, of course, I continue to get the error when booting up that "new hardware found".
    Any other ideas?

  • Error with iTunes 11- Can't delete lyrics

    Hello,
I found a couple of posts on the same topic I'm about to ask but didn't find an answer anywhere. So I'm putting forth the issue again.
Error 1: For some songs, there are some lyrics which I want to delete. I do that through the info pane (cmd + i) and press ok. But when I check again, the lyrics re-appear.
Error 2: So I figured out the only way to get rid of the lyrics was to insert a space or dot in its place, as leaving it blank made the old lyrics reappear. It worked. But later when I sync this song to iPhone 5, the lyric remains what they were originally, no matter what I change on my mac. The same song shows separate lyrics on my mac (the one I recently changed) and shows the old original lyrics on my iPhone 5.
Is this some irreversible tweaking in tags done by the person who originally released the song or is it an error in itunes?
Please suggest a solution as I have googled a lot but nothing has helped so far.
    Details: Mac OSX Mavericks / iTunes 11.2.2 / iPhone 5 / iOS 7.1.2

I faced the same problem and tried a lot of the solutions but none don't work and a blank space as told here is not a 100 % solution. I found a complete solution for it. It has got to do with the tagging of the songs. MP3 has two tags one is version 1 and version 2, iTunes seems to work well with Version 2 and when information is missing it updates it from the version 2 tag and the lyrics info is back even after deleting in iTunes.
Try this solution and it works like ****.. Download a MP3 tag editor and delete all the problematic info from both version 1 and version 2 tags preferably delta all version 1 tag data from the MP3 file and you are set. the best client I found for Mac running Mavericks is kid 3 found in source forge, the link is given below.
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/kid3/
Then delete all the songs from iPod/iphone/ipad then re sync with iTunes on your mac.
