Hi Debasish,
yes this should be possible by using Report Report Interface (RRI) from chart...
Check this links to get an idea:

  • Can you change the Graphs Colors in BEx Web Analyzer?

    Dear All,
I have few queries I have developed via BEx Query Designer which I am opening from BEx Web Analyzer in portals. Unfortunately the colors in the Graphs are not very pleasant. I was wondering if there is a way we can customize the colors which is given by the standard.
I am aware that we can do this is BEx Report Designer. But I would like to do this is BEx Query Designer.
    Please help..
    Cheers,
    Shanka

    Hi Shanka,
There is no option as such in BEx Query Designer.
You can manipulate and play with colors only in Report designer or Web Application Designer.
In Bex Query designer, you will find only exceptions which are related to colors but chart colors cannot be manipulated in query designer.
If you are executing the report in workbook, you can change accordingly as it is excel.

    KK.

  • Bex Web Ad-hoc Analysis Template - Displaying both Data and Graph Tabs

    Hello Everyone
I am asking this as I would not have belived this if I hadn't seen it for myself. I was showing somone a BW report using the standard Bex Ad-hoc analysis on the Web. They managed to display both the data analysis tab and the Graphical display tab on the same page, with the data at the top and the graph underneath. I could see that both of the tabs were highlighted at the top. It was great because as you manipulated the data in the navigation block, the graph changed at the same time.
I have looked in all my documentation and I have not found anything.
I have tried to replicate what this user did, but cannot. I have tried all the usual things like Shift control and alt, but it doesn't work.
Does anyone know how to do this, because the user loves it and I cannot explain to them how they must have done it!
Points will be awarded for the successful answer!!
    Many thanks to you all
    Gareth

    Thanks Andrew
I am glad you understand what I mean, as I thought I was seeing things when I saw it!
I feel I am so close to the answer, but when I do the drop down on the Graphical display tab for "display as" it only gives me the options
    Column Chart
    Line Chart
    Pie Chart
    Bar Chart
    Stacked Bar Chart
Do I need to do something else, or I am I in the wrong part of the report and I am running BW 3.5.
Thanks for your reply so far

  • Creating graphs/charts in BEx Analyzer - BI 7.0

There is no design item for creating graphs / charts in BEx analyzer. We don't have web server/portal.
There is a chart button in default workbook, which switches table/charts views.
How do I create charts in custom workbook.
Also, how do I do precalculation of workbook w/o Broadcaster.

  • BEx Web iView displays graph only after page Refresh

    Dear Friends,
I am facing problem in BEx Web application iView.
I am using the SAP Standard BEx Web iView template to call BI Report by passing parameter as below
    com.sap.ip.bi.bex?TEMPLATE=ZSD1_WR_TREND_HY
    URL is Link[http://<hostname>:52000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?TEMPLATE=ZSD1_WR_TREND_HY]
The report got 2 graphical representations along with a table data.
Problem is the graphs displays data representation only after refreshing the page.
Infact the problem exists in production system and works fine in Development system.
When I checked from portal prospective I found no difference.
    Can anybody help on this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Lakshmikantha

    hi,
find the iview from the content administration menu in portal.
If you are using a standard role open the role
and trace the pages until you find the iview containing the template.
Open the iview and check the parameter Content-BW report.
At the field BEx Web Application Query String go to and and check the template name.
Go to web application designer and open the above template.
Change the parameters from the post above and save the web template as zXXXXX.
Change the web template at iview as well.
What i figured out is that bex handler has a problem creating an array when you are using same session for more than one charts.
When you use seperate sessions for each chart there is no need for array creation and works just fine.
*If you are using best practices go to Content Provided by SAP->Specialist->Best Practices and find the role and iview you are using.
    It should work..

  • Where to control graph properies in BeX queries?

My report initially shows up in tabular format. When user chooses Graphical Display I would like the report to show up as a bar chart with legend. At present the legend is not showing up. Where do i configure this? I use BI 7.
Will generously award points to any useful help offered!

    Hi
It will give the options of saving as a query view or work book,If u open the query and if u do some simple operations such as drilldrown.... save it as a query,Other wise if u use the designmode items in ur report sch as buttton,analysisgrid... which will be on the left side of the screen u save it as a workbook..If u save it as a workbook,we can send that through the Broadcaster.

  • BI IP - bad performance in BEX workbooks

    Hi,
    we use BI IP and have workbooks with 5 to sometimes 10 planqueries (located on individual worksheets). We notice that the performance in BEX is bad. The planning functions itself are performant ( less that 5 seconds in the modeler). However in the excell workbook everything is slow;
    opening: 30 seconds  - 3 minutes.
simple save: at least 30 seconds
planning function: more or less the same as the save.
=> when performing a trace with ST05 (when clicking on save for example) we don't see much happening. Also in SM50 we don't see much happening.
Does anyone has experienced the same (or the opposite?) Is this problem caused by SAP or by Microsoft Excell?? Are the figures above normal???
    D

    Hi,
we created aggregates which decreased the response time significantly. But even if we have no data or it is quickly selected, it takes for ex 10 - 20 seconds to do something (saving, simple function) in case of workbooks with 4 - 8 queries. For queries with one query, this is faster, like 3 - 8 seconds to do something.
I think planning in BEX is slow (it is 4 - 20 times slower than web according to SAP studies!), but the effort we should do now to increase the speed would not weigh up against the benefits ...
could you do a trace with ST05 and let me know which statements take the longest time? What is your reaction time in your query. How hearvy is your query? Do you have pictures  or graphs included? do you use data slices or characteristic relationships? you can also email to further discuss.

  • BW Report iView - Buttons to create graphs on the fly

I once created a BW report through the portal and it had buttons at the top so once I had filtered my query the way I wanted it I could click the graph button at the top of the screen and automatically graph it.  That was very cool!  Now I can't remember how I got that option to appear?  There was a whole row of icons at the top of the screen, for example one was a pie graph, one was a bar graph, one was an Excel icon, one was CSV I think...
How do I get those to appear?  I used Web Application Designer and then referenced it via the portal iView.  I don't see the option for the toolbar anywhere and I'm baffled how I did it before.

  • BO Webi: How to populate a variable with the set of static values for Graph

    Hi All,
I have the data: Order number, Order Date, processing time coming from the SAP Bex query in the below format:
Order No    Order Date    Processing time (Days)
    1                 Jan-2011      4
    2                 Jan-2011      5
    3                 Feb-2011      6
In BO webi report, I have to report the number of orders which were processed in <1day, <2days, <3days,...<10days in a graphical view. i.e., X-Axis:  <1day, <2days, <3days,...<10days(10 static buckets for the processing days)
    Y-Axis: Number of Orders.
The graphical output should be like below:
    X-Axis: <1day, <2days, <3days,<4days,<5days,<6days,<7days,<8days,<9days,<10days
    Y-Axis: 0, 0,0,0,1,2,3,3,3,3  (count(Order No)) (Cumulative count)
I am able to calculate the number of orders individually for each of the 10 buckets. But the problem i am facing is that I am not able to hold the 10 static bucket values in a variable to use it for the x-axis in the Graph, as these 10 static bucket values are not coming from the backend source.
I would like to know if there is way to populate a variable(to use it for the X-Axis in the graph) with the set of 10 static values.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Leela

    Hi ,
I think we can use the variable as X-axis in chart.. but Variable Qulaification should be Dimension.
    can you try this?.
    Using efasion universe
    1) Select month and Sold at (unit price) , then run the query
    2) create the variable V_Month ==If [Month]=1 Then "Month1" Else "Month2"  (Note = Variable Qulaification should be Dimension)
    3) Create the variable V_Sum= sum (Sold at (unit price))
    4) create another variable V_Cumulative_Sum==[V_Sum]+Previous([V_Sum])
Now add V_Month and V_Cumulative_Sum in table , then convert to chart.. now you can add the variable V_Month as X-axis of the chart.
    Hope this will help:)
    Thanks

  • Automatic axis description for charts in BEx 7.0

In BEx Analyzer 7.0, if I have a simple table and hit the 'Chart' button, it creates the graph but does not put the descriptors on the X axis.  The X axis has numbers (the same amount as the number of rows).  What I want is for it to automatically populate the description instead of putting a number.
    Here is what I get.
    100  |
    50
    0
              1       2       3       4     5
    Here is what I want.
    100
    50
            |
    0      |----
              TX     CA    NV     OK     TN
How can I have the X axis automatically put in dexcriptors instead of numbers?

    Hi Ronald,
The chart Report will show, what ever is displayed in your table Report. Probably you have selected. Right click on Chart and select "Select Data" and see waht is selected for Rows and columns. For example in first column you have customer and if it is set as display Key in table it will show you Key in chart as well.
Do some Trial and error with "Select Data source" option in Chart, you will get the desired result.

  • Line graph issue in web report

    Hi
I have a 3 queries/reports on one page in my web report. I have 3 line graph buttons, one for each query.
My issue is, in the report result or table, I have characteristic "Product" in rows and Key figures in Columns.
    Product                          Month 1     Month2
    XYZ          Demand
                 On hand stock
                 Ending Inventory
But when I hit the line graph button, it shows Product in the X (horizontal) axis and number ranges like 15000, 20000, 25000 in the Y axis.
I need to swap the axes. I tried the "swap display axis" in the web items tab, but it didn't work.
I read other threads on the same topic here and someone had suggested creating a query view, switching the columns and rows there and running the report to display the line graph as required.
If I do that, won't the report result in the table also swap the rows and columns? I want the table to show Product in the Rows and KFs in the column as it is now, but I want the line graph to show Product in the Y axis and the Key figures in the Y axis.
Any ideas on how to do that? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
    Pooja

    This is what I did:
    1) In BEX Analyzer, I opened the local view of the Query and swapped the Key figures and Characteristics. I put the key figures in the columns and Characteristics in the Rows
    2) I ran my report and save it as a View
    3) In WAD, I assigned the Chart to the View.
When i ran the report from WAD, it still shows the key figures or number ranges in the Y axis and Characteristics on the X axis again.
I checked the "swap display axes" option in Web Item tab, but the line graph still remains the same.
Is there another way to do this? Or am I missing something?
    Thanks
    Pooja

  • Live Office one query per tabs or graphe?

whe have to insert a webi report with many tab and graph in a PPT doc with LO BOXI31sp3.
during the refresh, LO generate so many requests (toad chek) as tabs and graph
    it's normal ?
    thank's

    Hi,
BO Version is BO XI 3.1 SP2 FP2.1
Datasource - BEX queries BW Relese 701, support pack level 8
We have made users login to Infoview and checked that they are able to execute the WebI reports. Also, earlier they were able to run all reports, so there is no access problem.
These errors started occuring when we had to refersh BO Universes after some of the BEX queries changed. We even asked users to stop using the excel files on which they used to get errors, thinking the files may be corrupt. Then we sent them new files which we had successfully refershed at our end. But still they get these errors in their environment.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
