The "Fault Module" , StackHash_0a9e , is not positively identified but may indicate a third party browser add-on is the issue.
Can you try the following and see if it helps with the error:
IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > remove the checkmark in front of "Enable
third party browser extensions" > OK then restart IE.
If that does not help you can re-enable third party
browser extensions.
If it does help, you would have to track down the third party
browser extension causing the problem.

Hi all, i can't sync over wifi between my iPhone 4 and Windows 7 64 bit, wifi sync works with the same phone and my Windows 8 machine so the problem seems confined to Windows 7. I've tried solutions from other threads -
Making sure everything is allowed through firewall
Rebooting phone/laptop/router
Disabling ipv6
Disabling all networks except the one curently on
Re-installing iTunes
Restoring iPhone
No luck with any of those unfortunately so i just thought i'd see if anyone else is still without wifi sync after trying those as well and if you ever found a fix, thanks.I just wanted to leave a note that it's working now. I'm not sure if it was the latest iTunes update that got it working or that i decided to start a new library instead of using the one i had backed up on Windows 8 (it didn't occur to me to check using the old library when i re-installed iTunes). But if anyone is having this problem, it might be worth trying again with a new installation of iTunes to see if the latest update works for you, and if not, try using a fresh library instead of a backup (by fresh library i mean discard your old library completely and start a new library, not just restore as new iPhone, a whole new library).

ITUNES 7 Still won't open, even after trying solutions from other topics
I have tried the following things:
Uninstall/Reinstall
Quicktime as a stand alone
Virus protection off
Trying to start Itunes with a CD
System Reboot.
None of these things have worked. Can anyone help me.Okay,
I HAVE FOUND A WORKAROUND
This is definitely not a solution, and Apple needs to address this problem immediately, but this will do it until they pull the proverbial lead out of their proverbial apple-holes...
Right-click on the iTunes shortcut, and select "Run As"
Run it as a different user, such as Administrator. If you do not have any other users, go to Control Panel > Users and make a new user.
If you run it as a different user, it seems to work fine...
Note: The iTunes Music Library is different per user, so you may need to import all of your music again

Hello
I've already posted here on the forum several weeks ago about the obvious problem that Lenovo has with the latest version of the Power Manager and the Access Connections which both crash either on startup or while tryibg to open it.
So far there has been neither an update, nor a solution nor an official statement from Lenovo about that problem that consists rightnow for over two month!
When searching the forum I see the same all over again: Unanswered threads, solutions that don't solve anything at all and so on...
And just if someone here comes up with comments like:
"work's here" or "just rollback to the old version", what is the point of writing software that doesn't work?? And why not giving ANY SUPPORT AT ALL???!!!
I really would at least like to see an official statement saying "we work on it". After buying one of the most expensive notebooks on the market (and in my opinion still one of the best) hat would be the least one could expect form a "award wining" company like Lenovo...
Regards
Martin PauliHello, I am a Help Desk Consultant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and currently, we've had many problems with access connections, 4965 agn wireless card, and its drivers.
Symptoms:
1) Wireless card is detected my windows device manager
2) Wireless card is NOT detected by access connections, intel wireless utilities/tests/etc
Other related information:
1) Events with ID 7036 + source: NETw#v## (the # stand for numbers, I can't quiet remember which ones but the one after the v is a 5
2) Rollback driver is NEVER an abailable option
3) Every failure case with same symptoms came in starting mid September
4) If you select "show hidden devices" in device manager, there is a huge number of devices, most of which seem to be repeats
After many hours of debugging and fustrated complaints, I have determined that it could be one of many problems:
1) Teredo tunnelling: Apparently, atheros/intel/access connections won't find the wireless card if teredo has been enabled or something
2) Power management: A default setting is "let windows turn the wireless off it there's not enough power" in wireless properties>configure>power management
3) Driver update combination conflict: between a update on 9/21 and present time, there's something horribly gone wrong
If anyone has a definitie solution to this, please post. -
My ipad is stuck on apple logo. Have tried solutions from threads here. No luck
I have read and tried all of the suggestions on this forum including restoring from iTunes. I have Windows computer - not sure if that is why itunes is not recognizing my ipad. I try to turn it off, but the apple just keeps coming back on. I've tried holding the home button and power - it looks like it is shutting off, then the apple logo comes right back on.
Help!!FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -
I-tunes will not open-have tried solutions from other posts
Hello all
My i-tunes 6 will not open on my computer. A few times at one point it flashed the user agreement and then died. It does appear in my windows task manager but only for a few seconds. I know some peopple have suggested a malware problem. I have been working with my brother, who makes a lving fixing other people's computers, and we cannot seem to isolate the malicious program causing the problem. There is an application in the msconfig utility that is called "qxjj" that will not delete. We believe this is the problem. I was wondering if anyone had encountered this particular program before and if they knew how to get rid of it. Ewido, spybot and microsoft anti-spyware have not appeared to get rid of it. Any help would be appreciated.gaah. i think you and your brother have correctly diagnosed the problem.
there's a Qoologic variant that has been causing "error-less" itunes launch failure since late October. it's associated with the "license screen flash" symptom. it also drops randomly-generated-4-and-6-letter-name startup items in people's PCs.
Ewido and AdAware have typically been getting rid of it for people, so it's a bit disturbing that they aren't touching it in your case. however, we also have a "manual" removal technique that has been working for people. let's see if Dave's technique works for you:
Dave’s manual removal technique for the Qoologic variant

Hello
If i pass a lot of include paths to cl.exe that comes with Visual Studio 2010, and i also pass /Zi, cl.exe crashes (16.00.40219.01). Here's an attachment to reproduce the issue: http://www.filedropper.com/clexecrash
Extract the folder to your system drive root (C:\), and paste the contents of command.txt into a cmd.exe instance. cl.exe will crash.
test.cmd is a command file containing the line "/IREALLY_LONG_BOGUS_INCLUDE_PATH" 683 times, and /Zi. Please note, that if you either remove even one line of "/IREALLY_LONG_BOGUS_INCLUDE_PATH" or /Zi, the issue goes away. Without /Zi, there
seems to be no limitation of include paths. Please also note, that it's not the sheer number of /I switches that causes this crash, if you replace REALLY_LONG_BOGUS_INCLUDE_PATH with something longer, you can crash cl.exe with less /I switches.
This issue is also present in Visual Studio 2012 (17.00.61030), but seems to be fixed in 2015 CTP 5 (i don't have access to Visual Studio 2013, so i can't try). I know Visual Studio 2010 is not supported anymore, so does anyone know a workaround for this problem?
Thanks in advance,
PeterI cannot reproduce this issue with VS2013, your sample works well and generate a pdb file.
It seems a issue in VS 2012, but sorry about that I have no workaround for this. Please check this thread: this issue only appear in debug mode.

Iexplore.exe ntdll.dll citrix app-v flash crash
app-v 4.6 sp2
xenapp 6.5:
https://support.citrix.com/article/ctx136248
Hotfix Rollup Pack 2 for Citrix XenApp 6.5 for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2
App is a url: a website that uses flash/java/whatnot.
app has already been sequenced without starting IE and only configuring necessary prerequisites like a specific java version and some certificate trusts.
App crashes when it is being REMOTELY accessed from citrix website/pna. if i access it through rdp on server or from local environment (intranet WI/PNA site) - it works.
It only crashes remotely and only if published through app-v package.
FILENAME="%CSIDL_PROGRAM_FILES%\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
Flash is set to server-side rendering.
i've tried some suggestions @ http://blogs.technet.com/b/gladiatormsft/archive/2012/11/20/why-is-internet-explorer-crashing-on-shutdown-an-interesting-app-v-related-issue.aspx
disabling ctx hooks didn't do the trick.

Followup: MachineOwnerhello,
thank you for the suggestions.
For some odd reason why I disabled citrix hooks completely via
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
"LoadAppInit_DLLs"=dword:00000000"
The issue persisted, even though it was apparent that the registry had effect, because no seamless windows were presented and the published application looked like a window with a blank desktop.
What "solved" the issue was either of the following scenarios:
1) specifically disabling hooks for IE
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\CtxHook]
"ExcludedImageNames"="iexplore.exe"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Citrix\CtxHook]
"ExcludedImageNames"="iexplore.exe"
2) having a specific version of flash on the client box - 11.7.700.261. Even though policies are in place to FORCE server side flash content rendering. Bizarre.
I doubt we'll have proper citrix support on the matter, so workarounds are left.
And what is still puzzling - why does the physical app work without disabling hooks... Won't be pursuing further, I've had more than enough of this issue. ;) -
Safari 5.0.6 repeatedly crashes. MacBook Pro 10.5.8 I've emptied cache and reset to no avail. I've tried solutions found in other threads but the more advanced don't seem to apply to me. Help, please.
Not sure what other tests they could run for me. I've pretty much run all the tests I can using Drive Genius and Tech Tool Pro 5. Is there anything they use that I don't know about??

Been having a bit of a headache (more than usual) with the pain in the [arse/butt/fanny] we know and love as Xcelsius '08.
On a few of our XLF's, the files were opening perfectly, but when you click preview it either just simply died with a Xcelsius error (leaving a couple of excel.exes's in its wake) or Mr Watson makes an appearance and tries to do some debugging. Either way the file is all but useless.
One simple(ish) workaround is to create a new blank XLF and export import your spreadsheet and copy/paste your components across from old to new. This seems to do the trick - though itu2019s not quite as simple as youu2019d like as some components tend to forget colours on copy paste and images tend to screw up. Also your layout is off set by ten or so pixels on each axis which is all rather annoying and time consuming.
A bit of hacking the XLF file has turned up the cause of the Bug. It seems that if components are sourced from other files (again with copy paste action) they can become corrupt over time (no idea why!) and basically corrupt the XML structure of your XLF file in a really simple way - the change the components colour scheme to one that does not match the overall XLF file - this exception is handled in typical bad grace weu2019ve come to love in 2008 and it bombs out.
So if youu2019re feeling brave and want to get around the bug without recreating your work or copy/pasting as above here's the workaround...
Make a backup of your XLF. Please!
Rick click you .XLF and click Send To.
Select Winzip (browse for it if not a default).
Youu2019ll be presented with a list of files. document.xml is the one we are interested in.
Youu2019ll also see a version of you XLS file (xldoc) and images youu2019ve put in image components and selected "embed".
Right click document.xml and select Edit with NOTEPAD.EXE (you may need to be patient here depending on number of components!)
What youre after is the <colorScheme> tag at the highest level of the XML structure. Near the top for me hereu2019s the first few lines from one of my filesu2026
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<CXCanvas guid="511745753-25300-4573-188-201-412442191122451" width="1000" height="600"><component id="BOA7690C68EC7741B0956C3096FB1214E5" className="xcelsius.display.BackgroundComponent" styleName="background04Skin" displayName="Background 1"><colorScheme>BOF04E18CD488C482CA442FDFD0B286C59</colorScheme><properties>
Copy the long string between the <colorScheme> and </colorScheme> tags. These are of course hex colour codes.
Next do a find in your document for u201C</colourScheme>u201D check the string before it is the same as the first one you found. Keep doing this all the way through the document. If you find any that differ you probably have the same problem I had u2013 if not back to the drawing board u2013 sorry!
Any you find different change to the proper value.
When your done save and close notepad.
Then click in the winzip window u2013 it should say some thing like u201CFile C:\testcrap\document.xml has changed since it was last extracted. Update archive with this file?u201D
Say yes, and close the winzip.
Now open your XLF in Xcelsius and preview u2013 hopefully no more crash.
Hope thatu2019s of some useu2026 and remember, hacking XML is not at all part of the Xcelsius supported workflow u2013 but crappy parsers call for crappy hacks
Keep a backup,
Cheers,
Jez.

I would like to think the problem is with the machine as well, but it has ocurred on Windows XP and Windows Vista.
My Windows Vista is a brand new computer, with nothing but the OS (and whatever Toshiba has put in it), Office and Xcelsius.
Right now I am building a Virtual PC machine with only Windows 2K3 and Office 2K3 installed on it. I will download all the patches and all the updates from Microsoft for it, but nothing else. I will then install Xcelsius and see if the problem persists.
I have run Xcelsius logged as the admin and as a user and the problem happens regardles.
Do you think it could be with the free trial version of the software? What is the version of the MFC80U.DLL you use? My version is 8.0.50727.1833
I have been impressed with what the software can do, but I am not too impressed with the way the software works. -
Plugin 1.3.1 sometimes runs under explorer.exe rather than iexplore.exe
Mates,
I've written a large application that can also run as a signed applet using the 1.3.1 plugin. It runs beautifully and I'm very happy with the plugin technology. However, I've noticed that for certain users the plugin runs under the shell executable, explorer.exe, instead of the browser executable, iexplore.exe, even though it's started from the browser. When the applet/application is exited, it calls System.exit(0) (not ideal, I know) thereby shutting down the JVM, the plugin, and the executable the plugin is running under. No doubt you can imagine the shock on a user's face when closing my applet caused the shell to crash! This, of course, is happening because Microsoft tried to blur the lines between the browser and the desktop early in the browser wars. I can't figure out how to turn it off!
Can any of you help with this problem. If you'd like to test it, just run a small applet through explorer.exe by right-clicking on "My Computer", Open, navigate to the applet, etc. It helps if you have qslice from the resource kit open so you can see the threads opening under explorer.exe (or iexplore.exe if you try it from a browser). My system specifics are Windows 2000 sp1 with IE 5.
Thanks,
Ziad
[email protected]Hi Ziad,
Just wondering if you ever found a solution to this problem?
I am experiencing a similar situation where browser windows are controlled by the same Explorer.exe process (not IExplore.exe) on certain machines. This means that when the browser windows are closed and reopened, the JVM is not reset. Because the machines are up for long periods of time, the JVM eventually runs out of memory and crashes.
I am trying to find a way of forcing browser windows to be spawned in separate IExplore.exe processes (instead of running under Explorer.exe).
Help Appreciated,

Try the following.
Click the Start Menu and select Control Panel. Open Programs and Features, Click 'Turn Windows features on or off' and remove the tick next to Internet Explorer 9 Click Yes then OK and then when done, restart the PC.
When Windows has restarted, click the Start Menu and select Control Panel. Open Programs and Features, Click 'Turn Windows features on or off' and re-enter the tick next to Internet Explorer 9. Click Yes then OK and when this has finished installing, restart the PC again.

Faulting application iexplore.exe, faulting module jvm.dll
I see there are a few posts on this sort of problem, but please bear with me as this is somewhat different.
I develop a browser Add-on and one of my customers is experiencing an IE7 crash using Oracle/Jinitiator, with an event log message:
Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.6000.16827, stamp 49a74cd5, faulting module jvm.dll, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 4469a9b3, debug? 0, fault address 0x00050e18.
This may be related to my Add-on, so I'd like to know of any reasons that an Add-on could cause this situation. I see from other posts that it can be caused by an Add-on using a different JVM to the one used by the oracle app, however we don't include a jvm or use any java code, so it seems like it must be a different problem. The crash occurs on start-up of the oracle app and I'm told they're using Jinitiator on Win XP SP2. I don't know the details of their jvm or jinitiator versions.
I'm completely unfamiliar with oracle apps and JInitiators, so any pointers would be great. E.g. suggestions for them that may work around any such problem (like upgrading to latest JVM), or possible causes of any conflict between my Add-on and Jinitiator.
As my customer's app is not externally accessible I've not yet been able to replicate this. Here's another question (Example Oracle Forms app viewable online? asking for example apps that I might be able to use to replicate this.
thanks,
- Rory
Edited by: user11176059 on 18-May-2009 04:25Our browser Add-on is only available for IE, and the problem only happens when the add-on is running. So we've not tried Firefox but it wouldn't help unfortunately.

Process for creating a test file is as follows
Via youtube and your preferred browser, search for any video file (eg rubik's cube), select a video and start to watch it. Choose Share, Embed and copy the link information (eg <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/MaltgJGz-dU"
frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>)
Close browser and create a new powerpoint 2013 presentation.
Insert, Video, Online Video
In the "From a Video Embed Code" box, paste the link information then click the arrow to apply
Save the file and then Right Click on the file and Preview.
In advance of the creation/running, I've applied the following KBs to the machine(s)
kb2817636 & kb2837627
As i said at the start, members of the Power Uses or Administrators group don't have this issue - but as 99% of our users are "users" and not really an option to make them all members of PU group.
Same also happens if the computer is removed from the domain. Admin & power users work, standard users crash IE.
Uninstall and reinstall of Office 2013 and IE11 has no apparent difference.
Assistance in this is appreciated.
Thanks
Jonhi Jon, do you have all available updates installed for your PowerPoint? Install the two KB in the links below, then test again:

Java.exe vs iexplore.exe
We're running Java 1.6.0_16 on our machines to access Oracle Forms for our E-Business system.
We are running the Java applet with the "next generation Java Plug-in" disabled (as this causes issues within our system)
I've noticed that our install is seemingly not consistent.
Some users who launch java (via the program) while getting into the forms, get an "iexplore.exe" entry in their "control panel - performance" while others get a "java.exe" entry.
The users who get the java.exe are more prone to crashes and "loss of focus" when in the forms.
ALL users get the "java.exe" entry in "control panel - performance" if the next generation java plug-in is enabled.
How is it possible that the same install can lanch in two different ways?
It almost seems like the action of disabling java plug-in is not being recognised.
How do we remedy this situation to only get the "iexplore.exe" running in control panel? No, I was recommending you launch the applet using javaws, then close the browser, since the browser is entirely irrelevant to the JWS launched applet, which is now free floating on the screen like a JFrame (e.g. outside a web page/browser).
Not on our application I'm afraid.
We have the initial html/xml JTF Framework page a user logs into, there they have a list of their responsibilities, some of these responsibilites will take them into other html/xml pages, others will launch java and into the core application.
As the java is launching another web page is opened, it's almost like a placer, un-interactive window, which then leads to the actual app running java opening.
So you basically have 3 windows open, the initial web page, a "placer" web page and the actual app.
We can close the initial web page without a problem, but this is a stable window. When we have crashes it is this window that remains unscathed by the crash, and what is used to launch the app running java again.
If we close the second html "placer" page it will immediately crash the app running java. In fact it has a disclaimer saying:
IMPORTANT: Do not close this window. Closing this window will cause Oracle Forms-based applications to close immediately, losing any unsaved data. This window may be minimized safely at any time and may be closed once all work in Oracle Forms-based applications is complete.
Closing the actual java app will naturally leave the other two windows open.
My problem is that during the launch process, some users get a java.exe program launching while others the aforementioned iexplore.exe. In both cases Java is running and the app is functioning correctly, it's just that where java.exe is being displayed as the active program, there seems to be a tendency for the program to crash, while those displaying iexplore.exe are more stable.
I'm trying to understand why the exact same call would in some situations launch iexplore.exe and in others java.exe.
As far as I can see, setup and install is identical. As previously stated, if "next-generation plug-in" (in Java Control Panel) is enabled, then the entry will always read java.exe.
My thoughts are that depite this next generation plug-in being disabled, this is not being picked up as being disabled in some region of the java and is causing us instability.
