BEx Issue - BEx not connecting

Gurus,
Need your help.
Recently we applied a Windows Security patch at company and now I am not able to get connected to BEx analyzer either thru RRMX or from BEx applications. The Micorsoft Excel opens up but it is not connected by default using RRMX transaction. Also, Most of the Icons are greyed out and there is no action if I click on any other BEx Analyzer related Icons. On the Icons also I see GERMAN text but not the English.
We have uninstalled and reinstalled the SAP GUI 7.1 also.
Any clue?
We are on BI7.0, PL 17 and Microsoft Office Excel 2003 - SP2.

Hi Sam,
we faced same issue, we are on BI7.0, PL 17 and Microsoft Office Excel 2003 - SP3.
we resolved issue by following procesdure mention in the below thread By Amitanand.
[BeX analyzer in German Language]
take the help of BASIS team to do this.
check below patches are available or not
