BeX not accessible after installing SAPGUI 6.40

Hi all,
I am new here at the portal and I have an urgent issue.
I had a SAPGUI om my laptop, that was updated to 6.40 with all patches written below in this thread. I did this because I could not save my ODS settings at the time. Now I can save the settings, but when I try to open the BeX I get error messages. It doesn't matter if I try accessing through SAP transaction RRMX or through the Start menu of Windows=>Business Explorer=>analyzer.
If I use RRMX I get the message: Name or password incorrect. That doesn't make any sense since I already am logged on to SAP. If I try loggin on too many times, I get locked. After entering RRMX I get a SAP logon screen. I think this should not appear also.
If I use the startmenu from Windows, I get the error :
A critical program error occured. Program has to close. Please refer to the trace for further information.
All authorisations are correct, so that is ruled out also.
Can anyone help me?

I just tried that. According to tool there are no Errors.
I don't know what is causing the problem :s
Excel version is 2003.

File Properties on JDS not accessible after install 122213-13 patch

After installation of Solaris 10 x86 Patch "122213-13 GNOME 2.6.0_x86: GNOME Desktop Patch" the File Properties on the Java Desktop System cannot be accessed anymore (right-click on a file -> select Properties). Accessing Folder Properties still works fine.
Workaround: Deinstall patch 122213-13
Do you have similar experience with that patch?

thanks for you help regarding the update manager.
Here some more infos re the GNOME problem:
I have installed Sun Solaris 10 x86 from the scratch on another machine, applied all patches sorted by release date.
Here is the result:
Patch 118919-19 installed --> reboot --> no problem with GNOME
Patch 124207-02 installed --> reboot --> no problem with GNOME
Patch 122213-13 installed --> reboot --> problem with GNOME
Patch 122213-13 uninstalled --> reboot --> no problem with GNOME
The interesting thing is also, if patch 122213-13 is installed, that after trying to open the file properties window in GNOME always the file browser window appears instead.
Unfortunately I am not an expert to find out what the root cause for the problem could be. Do you have any idea?

You don’t install VS2010 on the client PC, then where did the Form Invoice not work? When you run it from another version of VS? Or when you run the application with application.exe?
Based on your description, one form works well, another form does not. I assume that two forms are in two different projects, then please check the .Net Framework used by the two projects. If they are different, you can use the
one used by the Form contact for Form Invoice.
Because this issue is a project issue, I recommend you to consult it on some application forum such as Windows Forms General forum for better support.

Hmmmm... would appear that you need to be actually logged in to enable the additional menu features.
Have you tried deletting the plists for MAS?

ValentinT, welcome to the forum.
There are no drivers available for Windows 8. I suggest checking in the Control Panel/Sound/Recording to assure that your microphone is selected. It seems that the Sound is one area that gets changed when updating to Win 8.1. At least, this is what happened to me.

Photoshop CS4 will not launch after installing Yosemite. All the other CS4 apps open. I upgraded Java. Genius Bar could not get it to launch.

Here's the fix I found, by way of an explanation...
Snow Leopard prompted me on my first startup with the following error:
"There is a conflict with the _______ font file. This font file contains a font name that conflicts with a system font required by Mac OS X to display onscreen text. You should move this font file to the Trash."
The fonts it said were conflicting: Helvetica, HelveticaNeue.dfont, Lucida Grande, and Monaco. I figured Snow Leopard probably wanted to replace these fonts with newer versions, and so I clicked "Move to Trash" on all four.
Apparently 10.6 trashed these fonts but didn't replace them. This was causing Photoshop to crash on load.
So I restored my ~/Library/Fonts folder from a backup made just before upgrading and this time after a reboot I said "Allow Conflict" on all four dialog boxes and launched Photoshop... everything is back to normal!
Not sure what kind of "conflict" it's referring to, but apparently moving these font files to the trash as OS X prompted me to do broke a number of apps. Should I report this as a bug?

Internet not working after installing "StarTech Thunderbolt Docking Station" driver

My Internet is not working after installing "StarTech Thunderbolt Docking Station" driver although "Ethernet" and "wireless" say they're connected, still there is no internet.
I have bought a "StarTech Thunderbolt Docking Station" as I need to use 2 thunderbolt based pieces of equipment on my "MacBook Pro"; which are a 2nd monitor as well as a Thunderbolt driven Audio Interface.
When I first plugged all my equipment to the "StarTech Thunderbolt Docking Station" everything was working fine, all pieces of equipment worked as well as Ethernet from both the computer and the docking station were working perfectly.
However, when I inserted the "StarTech Thunderbolt Docking Station driver CD" and installed the drivers, the internet on my computer has stopped working. Although the Ethernet says it is "connected" (same goes for "Thunderbolt Ethernet" when cable is connected to it) still the internet does not work. Even my wireless internet is not working anymore. Furthermore, also after installing the Docking Station drivers, my iTunes is crashing whenever started.
Please help, this is really urgent.
I've been looking for answers all around but can't seem to find any.
I'm using OSX Mavericks 10.9.2
I've tried fixing stuff with Network preferences, like changing IP address, renewing DHCP leace.
I also tried typing IP address, Subnet Mask, Router and DNS Sever manually... Nothing seems to be working.
Note: I know someone could suggest to "uninstall" the Thunderbolt Station driver, however, I can't find an "uninstallation file", even the CD that came with the docking station does not have it.

I had exactly the same problem today, and I was lucky enough to solve it.
Here's what helped me:
First, I found a hint to Suspicious Package in this thread.
With Suspicious Package installed, I was able to identify the script in StarTech's installer pkg. It' called "postflight".
Amongst other things, postflight runs this command:
sudo mv usr/share/sandbox/mDNSResponder.sb usr/share/sandbox/_mDNSResponder.sb
A quick check in Apple's knowledge base revealed, that the mDNSResponder is essential to use DNS (i.e. to resolve server names like www.apple.com) and bonjour.
I moved th mDNSResponder back to where it belongs:
sudo mv usr/share/sandbox/_mDNSResponder.sb usr/share/sandbox/mDNSResponder.sb
After a reboot, everything worked fine again.
I have no idea, why StarTeck disables an essential tool. Let's assume it's an error ...
But after this experience, I didn't want the StarTech ethernet driver on my machine (I had installed it just for curiosity, anyway - yes, I know, I shouldn't have ...), so I removed the kext the installer had copied to my system:
sudo mv /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleIntel8 2580.kext /Users/myusername
(You see I didn't delete the kext directly, I just moved it away and tried another reboot. Now everything works fine, so I'm going to delete the kext entirely and paint a big red cross on StarTech's installer disk.

Well I didn't enter a hostname from my ISP, but I did need to enter as a Host Domain the sub-domain (CNAME) that we use for our server. Don't know all the proper terminology, but I hope that's clear enough to someone to help. As soon as I did that, it worked again.

Firefox Not Responding after Installing Microsoft Office 10

After installing Microsoft Office 10 (student and home edition) on my laptop, I noticed that Firefox is going into the state 'Not Responding' every time I access it - it takes about 10 secs to 'think' and then comes back online. It continues to do this every time I want to access a new page, new link, click on mail in Yahoo Mail, etc. Has anyone experienced this issue?

1) Check the $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/JServ/etc/logs/jvm
has servral logs for OACoreGroup Servlets that are initialied
2) You might have to enable the debug option in jserv.properties and jserv.conf
(find IsItWorking.java in Metalink for the appropriate note )
3) If this is 403 forbidden then check trusted.conf alongside httpd.conf
pls keep posted about how this issue got resolved.

i have finished installing Oracle applications
11.5.10.2 on IBM clusters (HACMP version 5.1)its a
multinode setup with mutual failover. other
applications are working fine. the installation went
well. but the final part on the middle tier , during
the post install checks it says JSP not responding. I
checked the apache error-log and saw the follwoing
entry

that bafles me because that ip address was not used
in the installation. its the persistent ip address of
the HACMP. the service ip that was used in the
configuration file was 172.29.200.75
however there is no mention of this in the error
log.i also edited the oprocmgr.conf in the
Apache/conf directory after which i dont get the
error however the servlets pages then hangs and
returns page cannot be displayed error on internet
explorer. no error is registered on the error log.
the jdk am using is 1.4.2 which is the recommended
one.
what this means is that i cannot access the self
service pages and as you know you need self service
pages to access the application in 11.5.10.2
i opened a TAR with oracle on 8th April 2006 and till
today i have not been able to get a solution.
I am hoping that i will get someone in this forum who
has met a similar problem or who has an insight into
how we can solve this problem already am weeks past
the target go live!!!

PE 9 will not load after installing Elements 10

Installed Elements 10 on Vista 64-bit. Did not uninstall Elements 9. Now PE 9 will not load; get window Adobe Premiere Elements.exe - No Disk. There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Harddisk2\DR2. Tried disk 2 of 3 from package, nothing happens.

Tried twice, PE9 still locked up both times - I think the intent is to have me try PE10, because that did work!!!
