Bex Portfolio folder not visible

Hi Guru's,
I created a folder in public documents with unlimited access for everybody.
in page Bex i can see my folder but when i am on bex analyzer i can not see it so user can not save document in my folder.

BEx Portfolio Folder

Hi, I found the documentation that states the "BEx Portfolio" IView displays the documents in the public folder. When I try to open a document in the "BEx Portfolio" from the "Web Analyzer" I only see "BEx" items and not all of the items in the public folder. Is this just a feature of the "Web Analyzer"?

Ken there shouldn't be any restrictions other than the permissions in KM. To verify goto Content Admin -> KM Content -> Toolbox -> Permissions then Documents -> Public Documents and click on the key to verify the permissions and owners of the folders.

Newly created folder not visible in directory tree (Outlook 2013)

We are using Exchange 2007 on-premise and Outlook 2013 on the client computer.
When creating a folder in a (very large) existing folder structure from within Outlook, it is not shown in the client. When logging in onto OWA it is visible.
If we delete the entire client profile and re-create it (causing Outlook to download the entire structure again), the folder is visible.
When creating a new folder after that, the same issue occurs again.

I am assuming you are running in cached mode and this is not a shared mailbox. Have you tried forcing a full client synch? This should force the online version of the folder structure to be recopied to the client. What is happening behind the
scenes is that the client is telling the server to add the folder, but the client's information from the server doesn't yet include the new folder - this is why you see the folder disappear. Once you force the resync, the server will deliver the updated
folder listing (which I've noticed doesn't happen automatically, sometimes), and the client will then see the new folder (again).

Some Media Card folders within 'documents' folder not visible in Windows XP Pro SP3

I have tried renaming these folders on the device (eliminating '.'s and generally shortening the folder names) and then connecting to a Windows machine again afterwards, however, I have two problematic folders (within the 'documents' folder) that are still not visible in Windows.
One thing that is kind of troubling is that I thought I noticed that when I was moving files out of the 'documents' root directory (only place I can put files from the Windows machine [while connected] because I can't see the target folders in Windows) on the device to one of the problematic folders (again, because I cannot accomplish this in Windows), the original full-length folder name was still being referenced in the path displayed in the intermediate confirmation dialog.
Does it matter whether the folders are created within the (connected to) Windows environment or done on the device? Are there folder name length considerations or illegal characters?
I have created (in the Windows environment, while connected) some rather long folder names (including ''' & '.' characters) within the 'pictures' directory and have no trouble seeing them later in Windows.
What could be going on here?

ITunes folder not visible in My Music folder and no B through Z files are visible either.

Last month, my iTunes program became corrupted and non-functional. The iTunes uninstaller didn't function either. I was able to manually remove and reintall iTunes. iTunes can access and show all my music files, but when looking at the My Music folder through Windows Explorer or the My Documents desktop folder, only files/folders that start with a numeral or the letter A are visible. I cannot see the iTunes folder that contains the iTunes Library, Music Library, etc. I had a registry issue with hidden files that I corrected, but can still not see those mentioned folders/files. I know that they are there, because through the 'Show in Windows Explorer' function in iTunes, I can see the location/file path of any music files, including B through Z albums/songs, in the My Music folder. I'm thinking that there is something else that needs correcting/editing in the Windows registry, but cannot find any details on this exact issue with hours and hours of Web searches.

OK: I finally fixed the problem. After several attempts, I was able to fully run Chkdsk (chkdsk.exe) upon Windows startup. It ran for a few hours, dealing with disk errors, bad sectors, re-indexing, etc. Now, all the previously mentioned problems are resolved. Hope this helps someone.

Home folder not visible in users folder

My home folder appears to have gone missing from the Users folder in finder. See screenshot - I can see the test account I created and the shared folder but not my home folder.
I can still access my home folder via the sidebar but this causes problems with some software not being able to see my home folder in their browsers (Nikon Capture NX2 being an example).
Anyone got any ideas?

Check the View Options in the Home folder to make sure the library is selected to be visible:
NOTE: In Lion, Mountain Lion and Mavericks the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
For Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:

"Home" folder not visible in Finder

My "Home" folder is not anymore visible in Finder under "Users". This affects some programs that cannot find my files unless I copy them to the "Shared" folder.
If I list folders in the Terminal application, I can see my Home folder under /Users.
Any hint?

BC installed BEx Variables are not visible in Query Designer

I have installed SAP Exit BEx Varibales from Business Content (0P_KEYDT, 0P_KEYD2 and 0P_KEYD3)
sucessfully.
But when I am not able to see these variables in the Query Desginer ( Need to restirct these on Net Due Date, Posting Date).
Please advise me on this.

Are you sure you have the characteristics on which these variables are defined y SAP are in your data target?
Pl check this out. Alsso, sometimes, if you log out and get back, it may help.

BEx Query Hierarchies not visible to Universe

Just created my first universe against an SAP BW query which is released for OLEDB for OLAP. I am very comfortable with BW, but new to BO. Have worked with Cognos against BW also.
Issue: Created universe against a query which contains Cost Center and GL Account. Both have several hierarchies defined in BW. Execution of the BW query and also executing the BAPI function GETHIERARCHY on the BW side works fine and all hierarchies are visible, however the universe does not show the hierarchy. Does anyone know why it did not read it? It can see other objects of the query fine, except the hierarchies.

Characteristics and hierarchies in SAP BW are generated as a collection of classes and objects in the universe.
In fact hierarchies are flattened in the universe and only the levels are generated and consumable.
Can you see any of your hierarchy in the universe? A hierarchy level surfaced in a business object has a definition like this: [Characteristic_key+Hierarchy_key].[LEVELxx]
If you are not able to see them, can you describe a bit more what is generated in the universe?

BEx Query Output Not Visible on the Dashboard.

Hi All,
I have a Dashboard which include 2 BEx Queries in it. When my end-user displays the Dashboard, he is able to see the result of one BEx Query and there is no result on from the second BEx Query. Both the queries are from same InfoCube and relevant authorizations have been provided to end-user.
Now, when I run the Dashboard, I am able to see both the Queries output on the Dashboard. I am sure, its must be some authorization issue, but I have provided all authorizations needed which were suggested by SAP to my end-user and the fact that they can see the result from one query and not from other confuses the things.
Would appreciate some inputs...

Now I did the further investigation using ST01 and guess what are checks were green..the authorization objects checked were below...
S_RFC
S_RS_COMP
S_RS_COMP1
S_RS_ICUBE
S_RS_RSTT
S_RS_XCLS
I would really appreciate some suggestions, should I open a SAP message or am I missing something...

Bex Portfolio control

hi,
Bex Portfolio is for publishing public documents or reports. But we would like to control the users to publish/open only the BI Reports which they are authorized to. for example, if a user has access to finance reports but not to supply chain reports, then he should not open supply chain reports(saved under Bex Portfolio) which supply chain users saved under Bex Portfolio.

I'm in the same boat.
What I'm going to do is not store anything in the Bex portfolio folder (this is defined as \documents\public documents). I would create folders under \documents and restrict access based on roles. The user will store the bw report onto his/her My portfolio folder which only he/she can access. If the user wants to make the report available to other people, the user would just copy/move the report to a folder that he/she has access to as well as access to those targeted users.
My only problem is how to get rid of the Bex Portfolio tab. If you know how to do this, please tell me.

Folders are not visible in BEx Portfolio tab of Save As popup window

Hi All,
when I try to save a report in BEx Web Analyzer by open Save As popup window, I can't see any folders in neither of Favorites, BEx Portfolio nor My Portfolio tabs, even though I've created some directories in "/documents/Public Documents" for example. I can only see the list of already saved reports.
What needs to be done to be able to the folders in Save As (or Open) popup window?

New folder is not visible inside my project but shows in Windows Explorer.

I created a new folder under another folder. The new folder is not visible inside my project but shows in Windows Explorer. Also, if I try to add another folder of that same name, it denies the action since the folder (although invisible) already exists. My co-worker can access the same file (on a share drive) and see the new folder just fine. This error occurs whether I was the one creating the new folder or she is the one creating the new folder. I am new to RoboHelp and she has used it for years. I suspect something is not yet set up right on my side. Ideas? (I thought I posted this yesterday but I can't find it anywhere)

Did you create the folder from inside RoboHelp or did you create it using Windows Explorer?

Navigational attribute data not visible in BEx Report

Hello All,
I am facing following problem in one of my BEx reports:
I am fetching data from an ODS. With other columns of ODS, I have also to show few navigational attributes( which are master data of some info-object) . In report the corresponding data in navigational attributes is not visible for few records, although when I see the master data of this Info-object (whose navigational attributes I have to include), in Adm. Wrkbench the data is visible. I wonder what step is missing.

While trying to activate the Infoobject's master data (by right-click) I get the following message,
"Lock NOT set for: Loading master data attributes"
And the data is not activated.

Edit pane not visible in portfolio

Hi-
I am new to Adobe 9. When I am trying to create a new PDF Portfolio, the edit pane is not visible on the right hand side (so that I can set colors, headers, footers, etc.).
I have searched through the documentation and can find no reference of how to make this pane visible.
What am I missing?

I understand that - I am referring to the Adobe Portfolio in Acrobat - where you can create a single pdf with multiple pdfs, flash, audio, video, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, etc.
The documentation (and other training resources) clearly show an 'edit panel' on the right side of the Portfolio creation window when a new portfolio is initiated. Mine does not show this pane and I can't figure out how to make it appear.
See the attached screen shot of what I am pulling from the documentation. The capture picture is what I am pulling from the documentation. You will see on the right hand side of this screen it says 'Edit Portfolio'. That is the pane I am missing, as you can see from the screen shot of my window, in Capture2.
