BEx query as web service - possible?

Hi Experts,
I need to create BEx query as a web service. I would like to know how it can be done through SAP portal ( I mean is there any option in query designer or any Tcode in SAP BI ).
Also will it possible to integrate this web service in Business object ?

The Web Service Creation Wizard makes it possible to define a Web service in a few steps. You can create Web services for RFC-enabled function modules, function groups, BAPIs, and XI message interfaces. Features u2013 such as security or transport guarantee settings u2013 are specified using configuration profiles.
When a Web service is defined using the WS Creation Wizard, the following are also created automatically:
A virtual interface
A Web service definition

Getting Java error while connect BEx query to WebI report (SAP BI4.0 )

Not able to connect BEx query to WebI report (SAP BI4.0 ) . Below is the error I get while creating a new BEx connection to BOBJ WebI report .
Please find the below error and help me ,

I am on BO 4.0 SP05 Patch 6. Webi reports are just showing processing but not giving results. When I try to create new report it is throwing java security error.
Tried applet patch upgrade(From link : https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000902752013E) for webi certificate but didn't help.
Please suggest what could be done.

Error when querying REST web services from web-based InfoPath form 2013 environment, we are trying to consume REST web service in InfoPath form ( SharePoint 2013 version)

it works in preview but does not when it is published. because of claim based authentication i m getting below error
The form cannot run specified query, the underlying connection was closed. An expected error occurred
same works in 2010 environment .. are we missing anything in 2013 servers?? please let me know how we can resolve it.. thank you

just you need to use below web service in infopath and populate some data on form load like id = 1 pull the title and try to set in form any field...the
list has one item thats all

If you want to continue to use the ABAP-based runtime, create the template using the Web Application Designer (SAP BW 3.x).
The templates called using the new Web Application Designer have new objects that are independent of the objects saved using Web Application Designer 3.x. This means that, unlike the old templates, they can no longer be called using parameter template_id=abc. Instead, you can address them from an iView using template=abc and they use the Java Web runtime in the portal. Only the old templates can be executed in transaction RSRT.
In Web Application Designer 3.x, you can use parameter template_id=abc to call saved objects.

R/3 Infoset -- Bex Query -- Universe -- WebI / Xcelsius

Hi there,
i got a hint that it should be possible to connect an Infoset with a Bex Query, but i'm not sure if they mean a R/3 Infoset or a BI Infoset. I know that a connection from an universe to an BI Infoset works but does this also work for an R/3 Infoset ?

This Infoset is an BI Infoset not R/3 infoset.
We dont have an directoption to connect either WebI/Xcelsius with R/3.If you want to connect Xcelsius with R/3 we have to us Data Federator.Here we have an option to use FM,Infoset Query.

Display Bex Query in Web

Hi,
I want to display the Bex query directly in web.What are the possible ways that i can do, for the user to view the report in the web.Can anyone tell me how to configure RRMX in this case or how to do the settings for user to navigate from user menu to the required BW report directly from the SAP work bench.?I have tried linking from User Menu where the java servlets blocking the navigation.? Do i need to follow any configuration for this too?

Hi,
There are multiple ways to display the query in Web:
->Web Analyzer: In the query designer you need to click on the web symbol it will take you to run the query in web in the explorer. For this your server need to be setup contact your basis team for the same.
->WAD: After creating a query, you can display the same using Web application designer. Here you need to check the Java Settings to be installed.
->EP: You can copy the link generated from the query can be copied and displayed in the Enterprise portal.
There is a search option available in the SDN , you can search for more information regarding the same.

Expose PeopleSoft query as web service

I've created a custom query using the PeopleSoft Query Manager and can pull the results as HTML, Excel, XML, etc. I've also tried using the Process Scheduler Request to automate how often the query is executed. The results destination types listed in the Process Scheduler are “email, feed, file, Integration Broker node, web, window.” I am intending on using the data from this query in an external application, but none of these destinations seem ideal for that.
Is it possible to expose this query as a web service and call that from an external application? I haven't found any resources that detail how to do that so far. If this is not a feasible solution, which of the results types can be easily integrated into an application? Any help/links would be much appreciated.

What tools version are you on? As of 8.50 they provide a web service for query. It is documented in the Reporting Web Services PeopleBook in the 8.50+ documentation.

Deliver data to external web service possible in OBIEE 11g?

Hi all,
I'm looking into the possibility of "pushing" data from OBIEE and out to an external web service, e.g. through executing a scheduled report that instead of delivering the result on screen, it would call an external web service that would consume the generated data for storage in an external system.
Does anyone know if this is possible to implement in OBIEE 11g? (So far, all I've found is how to display data in OBIEE through consumation of web service(s), but I'd like to "push out" data to a web service from OBIEE).

BW Bex query and Webi question

Hi All.
Just a quick question on Bex queries. We are selecting a Bex query as a source for universe. However on the webi side we only want to see a subset of the data.
1) The question is Would this rerun the entire BEX query on the BW side ? Or is there a better way to design the universe ?
2) Also are there any best practices on how to desing Webi reports from BW BEX queries and also Infocubes etc ?

The WebI builds a query on the BEx results. The query is related only to those items used in the WebI report. However, the BEx query must have the results in it, as the WebI does not execute it. I am not aware of a best practices document.

Which is better to use: BEx query or Web Application as an iView in portal?

Are there any experienced opinions, which is better - publish a BEx query in portal or publish a BEx Web Application in portal? Is it easier to alter the layout attributes etc. if I create a BEx Web Application first before publishing?
What is the way of fixing for example filter item height if I publish BEx query in portal - is there a Web Application that it uses anyhow which I can fix? Or can I use in that case iView -properties in portal?

classes that are not actually bean. so it will be
instantiated at run time and provide efficiency .No. Jsp:useBean is used for java bean components.

Error message when connecting to Bex Query in WebI

Hi all,
I've a Bex Query and I created a universe on top of that Query. I selected few characteristics and one keyfigure in WebI to build a report. When I ran the query I'm getting a error message as below :
A database error occured. The database error text is: Failed to execute MDX Query. Reason : Error occured when starting the parser: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'. (WIS 10901)
