BEx Query Designer Error

Hi All,
I have a problem where I have just updated to SP 18 and now the BEx Query Designer comes up with a problem, I can open the Query Desinger but when I go to open a query from my history the Query Designer shuts down immediatly.
Has anybody got any Ideas?
The SAP Gui and Business Explorer is 710.

I do not get an error message the Query Designer just shuts down.

Giving Error while opening BEx Query Designer.

Hi all,
               A user is trying to open BEx Query Designer 7.0 and she is getting this error
" SAP BEx Query Designer standalone has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you were middle of something, the information you are working on might be lost. "
She is not having issues while opening BEx Analyzer. She is having Office 2010. This doesn't seem to be compatibility issue with the Office. This BEx was not installed on her machine 2 weeks back and it was working fine until now.
As a first re-solution i told her to get it re-installed but still she is getting the same issue.

There is no relation between Office VS Query Designer. Only with BEx Analyzer and MS Excel.
My suggestion is.
If you don't have version 7.20 of SAPGUI and Business Explorer, please download the installer.
After that, download the latest patch available and install:

Bex query designer -- Execute Error

when i am executing the Bex query designer -- > Execute. i am getting the following error.
Service not attainable
What has happened?
The call of the URL http: // fe-pit-ttbw.company.com:8000 / irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd! 3aportal_content! 2fcom.sap.pct! 2fplatform_add_ons! 2fcom.sap.ip.bi! 2fiViews! 2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex it was broken off, because the appropriate service is not available.
Indication
The demolition appeared on the system PIT and with the fault code 404 and the reason trouble(need) found. The selected virtual Host was 0.
What can you do?

I have a problem with my BEX Query Designer. Whenever I tried to save a query, I caught the following exception:

I have the same problem with Flat mode is not supported! at ... Characteristic.setHierarchy(Characteristic.java:335):
Open, close, reload of the query does not help.
Other SDN-thread "500 Internal Sever - Flat Mode is not Supported!" related to transaction RSRT.
Execution of query via RSRT works, but the problem still persists in the BEx Web Analyzer.
Could be related to a BEx Web Analyzer "bookmark" ("Personalize Web Application").
I have not deleted any item. We use SAP BW 7.0 with a patch level approx. 09.2009.
The "flat-mode" seems to be the "BEx table mode".
SAP hints do not seem to fit here:
- 715820 BW 3.x Front-End Patch 14 (we use BW 7.0)
- 874825 SAPBWNews for BW 3.x Front-End Support Package 19
- 874827 SAPBWNews for BW 3.5 Front-End Patch 08 (we use BW 7.0)
- 905229 update to SAPTableTree
- 909824 Termination in flat mode when an object is deleted (old?)
- 909827 Incorrect InfoProvider-dependent characteristic values
- 910602 Condition includes too many characteristics (usage of deleted elements)

- 968273 Cache with flat files: Exception is not caught (does not apply to given error)

Bex Query designer withour Enterprise Portal?

Dear BW experts,
After launching the Bex Query designer with BI7 system. After designing query, If I click on execute (Ctrl+R). It is launching internet explorer with error "Invalid Syntax error - Page cannot be displayed"
It is launching the following URL

I think it is looking for Enteprise Portal server. I dont have an EP server.
What is the alternate way to execute this?

just to make sure that I do not missunderstand:
As far as I know in BW3.5 (without EP installed) you were able to execute a query directly out of the query designer and it was shown as a web-query.
Now I tried to do the same with a BI7-System the first time and I get the same symptom as Abdullah. We also do not have an EP installed on that system.
As solution, you all describe that I have to open the query in analyzer to see it in excel - OK - BUT if I do not want to see it in excel but as a webquery (like in my good old BW3.5) instead ? Isn't that possible anymore ???

hello,
Firstly log off from the query designer.
From RSA1->Transport connection ->select ur query->transfer only necessary objects.
Then on the right side panel when scrolling to the right u can see the request to which the query is assigned to.
If u see any query objects in any other request which u do not want to be,remove the objects from that transport.
Then come back to query designer,check the query for syntax errors,make the changes u wnat to do and save now to your transport request.

I want to pop input window when I use analyzer run bw report, I know to add filter through restrict, then I selected value ranges, it was appearing between input text, the button canu2019t let me input, I tried select from list, Bex Query design occured some errors, if click u2018exitu2019 will prompt unknown software exception(0xc00200001) then stop .

Enabling the Reporting Tools WAD, BEX Query Designer in BI 7.0

Recently we installed BI 7.0 system with SP 13 and now we want to connect to the reporting tools WAD, BEX Query designer, When I am selecting the BI system and after entering the login details we are encountering a error msg" connection to the gate way is failed".

BEX - Query Designer - Query Execution - IE "The page cannot be displayed'

Hi ALL,
Trying to execute a query from BEx Query Designer, result needs to be displayed on Internet Explorer.
However, when IE pops up to show the result, it says 'The page cannot be displayed'.
It seems the PORT Number is wrong.
When I execute the RSPLAN the port number is 52300 (23 ASCS) (and it works!!).
For this web query the port in URL is 55300 (53 SCS).
Could you help to configure the right port?
Something needs to be done on Basis side configurations?

This especific problem was solved na SM30 programa RSPOR_T_PORTAL.
But I still have problem:
The PORTAL logon is displayed and after input the user and pass shows the 500 Internal Error.
Caused by: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to message server host failed
Connect_PM TYPE=B MSHOST=calsaps011.net.bradesco.com.br GROUP=PUBLIC R3NAME=BWH MSSERV=sapmsBWH PCS=1
ERROR partner 'calsaps011.net.bradesco.com.br:sapmsBWH' not reached
I have looked the services and hosts and the files has the sapgw<> and sapms<> right configured.
The important detail is that The PORTAL works if it doesn't come from BEx.
COULD SOMEONE HELP ME?

Starting BeX Query Designer from Crystal opens older version Designer

Hi,
When starting the BeX Query Designer from Crystal Reports 2008, the older 3.5 version of the designer is started and hence wanting to edit a query that was designed in 2004s raises the error: "This component was edited with a more recent version of the editor. You also have to use the more recent version to edit further. Further processing is not possible. Update your front-end".
The latest version is installed, it seems that Crystal by default opens the 3.5 version that was installed with the 710 GUI and Business Explorer etc ... Is this by design and can one set something somewhere to use the 2004s version via Crystal Reports.
Any insight is welcome.

that is a known issue in the toolbar of Crystal Reports.
You can start the Query Designer 3.5 / 7.0 from the BEx menu item

Settings for SAP Portal start page from BEx Query Designer

Hi!
In order to see queries I would like to use SAP Enterprise Portal from BEx Query Designer.
When I push "execute" button within BEx Query Designer a wrong page will be shown in browser.
I changed the settings in table RSPOR_T_PORTAL, but still get the wrong Portal page shown in browser.
Question:
What is the transaction/table/report to customize the portal start page using by BEx Query Designer?

I am about to implement SAP Best Practices scenario "B34: Accounts Receivable Analysis".
Therefore I load the data from SAP ERP IDES system into SAP NetWeaver 2004s system.
My problems are:
when I try to load the transaction data for Infosources 0FI_AR_4 and 0FI_AR_6 from SAP ERP system the following happens:
- the status is getting u201Cyellowu201D (194 from 0 records)
- at the next day the status is getting u201Credu201D and I received the following error:
Errors while sending packages from OLTP to BI
Diagnosis
No IDocs could be sent to BI using RFC.
System Response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of BI.
Further analysis:
Check the TRFC log.
You can access this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".
Error handling:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is fully connected to BI. In particular, check the authorizations of the background user in the source system.
Comment:
I did not find any entries on "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system"
The Source system connection EC6CLNT100 is OK
Can some one help me to solve this problem?
