BEx Query particular cell not display

Hello Experts,
Whenever I execute the query all the results are displayed but only one cell not display.
Could you please tell me, anyone explain this scenario?

whenever i execute the query the selection appeared if i put the selection year 001/2009 the results is appeard. but the selection year 002/2009 is not displayed in a particular cell. I don't know about the cell editior. can you tell me, how can i check it...

BEX query: filter is not displayed in one of the users

Hi,
We created a BEX Query with a Month/Year filter.
When I run the query with my user, it's working ok (photo 2).
When I run it with another user, the filter is not dislayed (photo 1).
I've checked the role with PFCG, bit i don't know what it's misssing. The infoarea, infocube and name of the query are included in the PFCG, as well as the activities: execute, visualize, etc. (Photo 3).
Any ideas?

Hi,
Just compare assigned roles for My user and other user.
Then you may know the missed authorizations.
As my guess your issue will authorization related one.

CM14 BI Publisher - modifying an existing Data Model, the Graphic View in Query Builder does not display

I am trying to edit the default forms/reports that come with CM14, trying to edit the data model, data set, (to get to the old Infomaker style graphic view) , the Query model does not display (error the list of tables is too long..) Oracle tell me the limit is 60, there are not 60 tables referenced in any CM report.
Does this Query builder view work at all on any report?
(bigger question, we are moving from CM12, should we move to CM13 which works with infomaker?)

Kurt, thanks for your replies.
A couple of notes/clarifications.
1. You are correct that BI works better in Firefox--I have observed issues with the BI display when using IE. I would recommend using Firefox too.
2. You are correct about the way to get to the Query Builder to see a graphical view of data tables. There are basically two issues with this that I mentioned, but will re-iterate:
a. If you have an EXISTING query in the data set, then click the "Query Builder" button, this will remove the existing query that's there, it will NOT display the existing query in the query builder. Query Builder works only to create a NEW query from scratch.
b. Query builder is limited to selecting 60 fields max in your query. If you are creating a large report with many tables, you may find that 60 fields is not enough. For that you will have to work in the SQL edit screen rather than using the query builder.
I would impress on anyone developing CM14 reports that they become familiar with the database schema and relationships to avoid problems when developing your BI reports. You should be able to find the tables and joins documentation in the knowledgebase.

Bex Analyzer 70 opens query but does not display results

Hi Gurus,
My computer is windows XP 2002with Service Pack2. I have MS Office 2003.
My SAP GUI is 7.1 with SP 5. ( I am unable to install Windows XP SP3 on my computer).
70 Analyzer is not working for me. When I log in, the XL sheet comes up but the Bex realted icons are not showing up.
When I open 3.x Analyzer, it works fine. The XL has BEX icons andI can open the query and get results.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated andI would award points.

Try to get latest patches in 7.0 and u can take help of any Basis person.

Using Bex Query with cell definition with WEBI

Hi,
Currently I am using a Bex query as a datasource for a webi, normally this works ok but I am having trouble with one particular query.
This query has cell definitions defined in the query. When i import the query into WEBI I get an MDX error.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
We do not see all elements of the BW query in the universe, just those not using cell definitions.
We are currently on Business objects XI 3.1
Using BW 3.5
And the query runs fine using RSRT, it does show some asterix for some of the values but this can be removed by filtering on currency type in BW report

Bex objects translated text not displayed for all

Hi,
I have an issue in Bex elements language translation in Bex report output,
Translation of Bex elements to PT language has done successfully and few of the Bex elements are getting displayed in PT language, but the problem i am facing is with the Chars / Key figures objects used in Bex (Like: 0GL_ACCOUNT / 0AMOUNT / 0MATL_GROUP...) which are used directly in report, for these objects text is still getting displayed in EN.
When checked in backend tables i can able to see texts for objects with both languages maintained, and when i check the info objects short description from RSD1 by logging with PT language; i can able to see description in PT.
But, in Bex report i am not getting description in PT for these.
Please let me know whether i am missing any setting in between Bex and Backend objects.

Default value of BeX customer Exit variable not Displayed in WeBI??

We are stuck with a problem where WeBI report is created on top of BeX query and we are not able to see the default value of Bex Customer exit variable in WeBI run. Here is the complete scenario:
1. One restricted KF is created in BeX, restricted with Customer exit variable on net Due date. And this variable is mandatory, ready for input, and Default value in calculated is user exit as current Week's Monday.
2. So, by default KF data should be restricted to Monday of current week, if user does not change this value.
3. Now, WeBI report is created on top of this Bex query, and all is working fine, i.e. we are getting variable as Prompt in WeBI, but Default value is not shown while Running the Webi Report.
So, need your inputs on the same, if default values from BeX in WeBI is supported or not? If yes, why this is happening, and how to resolve it?
Please notice, the restrcition is in KF only, it is not a separate restrcition on Net Due date in Filter area or in Defualt area of BeX
and we are on SAP BW 7.1 and BOXI 3.1 SP4.

WebI will prompt when executed, but the default values calculated by the user exit - do not appear.
Note: If the BEx variable has property 'ready for input' set / enabled, then its WebI prompt shows ok, but no default value appears.
Cause
This behaviour expected 'by design' (in the context of the product's current limitations) as explained in the online guide below:

Characteristic variable > processing type > Customer Exit is "Supported, without user entry"
--> This should be understood as meaning "User will not be shown a prompt"

BEX Query Changes are not Reflecting in WAD

Hello SDN Experts,
I'm Facing a Typical Weird Issue. We got an Requirement to Create a New Variable in a Exisitng BEX Query. Assume that we have already a Variable on 0VENDOR. So I have Removed that Variabale and Added new Variable which was created by myself. So when I execute the Query I;m gettign displayed the new Variable wihch is working fine.
But the problem is with WAD. WAD is showing both the old and new Variables. So in selection paramater it is displaying two 0VENDOR variables instead of showing one.
Could you please Guide me how can the BEX Changes will get reflected in WAD report as well ???

Hello Hemanth,
This issue may be because you only removed variable but didn't change the 'input ready' settings of it.
Steps, go back to removed variable -- properties --- details -- then deselect 'variable is ready for input' -- save and exit -- try WAD report..

Query runtime statistics not displaying data

We have installed BI 7.0 Business content. 0TCT_MC02 is based on 0TCT_C02 and 0TCT_VC02.
Query 0TCT_MC02_Q0200 based on this multiprovider is not returning any results. There is restriction in the query to display last 24hrs stats.
In our case, 0TCT_C02 is not getting updated, but when we run this query it should pull data from virtual provider 0TCT_VC02 for last 24hrs stats. Its not at all accessing the Virtual provider, I checked SQL trace and found that everytime its just hitting standard cube. DS is assigned to virtual provider and 'Activate Direct access' is also set.
I also checked RSDDSTAT_OLAP and RSDDSTAT_DM table which are getting updated.
I copied the same query and ran with those selections for which data is available in the standard cube and I got the result.
What could be the reason that its not hitting virtual provider?

Hello Patrick,
I already have created a copy query of 0TCT_MC02_Q0200 and removed the SAP Exit variable from Timestamp object that restricts query for last 24hrs data and introduced another user entry variable.
When I ran this query it displays only those data that are available in 0TCT_C02. When I run it to pull recent data that is not available in 0TCT_C02, it has to goto 0TCT_VC02, but its not pulling from vc and displays 'No applicable data'.
So I understand that is some issue with pulling data from 0TCT_VC02, but I dont know why
So pls throw in your thoughts.

Query iView does not display DB2 tables

Hi All,
I'm trying to connect to a DB2 database and have created a System object for that. When I'm creating the Query iView, in the third step when I select the node for my JDBC system, "Loading..." is displayed but nothing happens after that.
I have tested the connection for my system and it's working properly. When I go to Metadata Loader in DQE, I can see the schemas for my system but not the tables (in the left pane).
Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Hi Antony,
Upgrading from SP7 to SP9 fixed a lot of problems for me! It's worth trying.
Problems solved for me:
Page requests take about 2 minutes to display page (now within a few seconds)
KM SQL logging (30-50Mb per minute) problem fixed.
There are some problems upgrading to SP9, but searching this forum will help you in finding some solutions for this

When you define any Filter Values, BEx will ask you to select either Single Values or Variables or Value Ranges etc..
If you want to select by Multiple single values, you should include all the values in the Restriction area.
Please do not define any variables, unless the User wants to enter any thing. Look for any other variables which are not defined correctly..........

Query Result is not displaying *

Hi,
I am developing a new report. In that there are two key figures namely "Inter Company In Transit Qty" and " WIP Qty".
Inter Company In Transit Qty Key figures have different UOM
and WIP QTY Key figure is having different UOM.
When I run the query, the result for Inter Company In Tranist Qty is displaying * which is correct (as it is having multiple UOM).
where as WIP Qty is having multiple UOM, hence it should show the result as *, but it is showing EA which is wrong.
I checked every property of Inter Company In trasit and WIP Qty and they all look same.
Please advice me what should be done in WIP Qty result line should be asterisk and not 0.00 EA.

Yes both key figures are coming from same infoprovider.
I created a mulitprovider based on two infocubes. One is daily and other is Monthly.
Both key figures are non cumulative key figures. For both key figures I used below mentioned logic. Intransit is working fine.
I created a formula and put in calculated key figures(CKF). The CKF formula is ((WIP Qty > 0.1) * WIP QTY)
I took a selection and used the CKF and restricted by daily cube.
I changed the result as suggest by you . But it still does not work.
Any suggestions is greatly appricated.

Dear folks,
I am using BW netweaver 2004s.. Afer assigning queries to roles. I had given authorizations only dispalay.
But it is not showing query data after executing the query..Let me know is there any authorization object I could have missed.
For displaying data..which object authorization have to give..
and Let me know how can i check my authorization object for the query..
In SU53 its not showing anything..

I have a one workbook aswell for same role..
My workbook will show "variance between 2POs"
at the input screen it is only showing Current PO selction option..Preivous PO is not showing in the same input screen..

The BI report created by Query designer does not display all columns

Dear Experts,
I have created a BI report using the Query Designer.
When I execute the query, only 6 columns have been displayed.
The total columns are 12. I need to display all 12 columns at the first instance.
Could any one help me to resolve this problem?

There is not marked for '.Supress Zero' in the Rows and Columns.
And I did not check for 'Hide repeated values' in the Display tab.
