Bex toolbar disappeared after patches

Hi everybody
I am experiencing some problems with SAGUI 6.40 with BEX 7.0 on my fresh upgraded BW 7.0
I have just installed (in the following order):
1) Bw700SP15P_1502-10001615.EXE
2) setup640_24-10001615.exe
3) gui640_28-10001615.exe
The problem is that now, when I run RRMX transaction, Excel (Office 2003) starts but the Bex Toolbar does not appear anymore.
Before the patches it was working fine.
Any tip from anybody?
Thank you
Aldo

I hope this helps...

When running a user defined report the first time it shows the tab toolbar (freeze view, run report, etc) but when a new report is opened in the same tab the toolbar disappears.
In order to show again the toolbar I need to close the tab, right click the report name -> Open and the new tab will contain the toolbar.
Verified with version 2.1 and there the toolbar is always displayed.

Thanks. I ran out of time to fix this one it's logged and on the list.

  • Roboform toolbar disappears after persona changes

When FF starts up and the persona changes (such as with Personas Rotator), the Roboform toolbar disappears. When you retrieve it using Right-Click > Customize, personas can now change and the toolbar won't go away. Any way to make this annoyance go away?

The default Mozilla theme is basically that persona that looks like one those devices used by painters to color their brushes (I think the persona's name is "caramel"). I don't like it and always use another persona. The only issue is that for some reason when you change it the first time, the Roboform toolbar disappears. When I go to Options -> Toolbar Layout and put it back, then it stays put no matter how many times the persona changes or rotates. It's just irritating having to put it back every time you start FF. Any clues?

  • Yahoo toolbar disappeared after update to firefox 30 yesterday How to fix?

Firefox automatically updated to version 30 yesterday & NOW my Yahoo Toolbar has disappeared & doesn't show up even in the View/Toolbars of the Menu.... Although when I check the AddOn Extensions it's showing as installed & Enabled, but it's not working... How do I fix this?

Your Firefox reported itself as version 16.0. Could you try the fix in the first section of this article: [[Websites say that Firefox is outdated or incompatible even though it's the latest version]].
Firefox 30 switched more plugins from "Always Activate" to "Ask to Activate". You may need to switch your Yahoo-related plugins back to "Always Activate" if the toolbar needs them. You can open the Add-ons page using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. I'm not sure which plugins are the Yahoo ones, but presumably you can determine that from their names and descriptions.
To test, try opening a new window (Ctrl+n) or new private window (Ctrl+Shift+p). Any improvement?

  • Acrobat toolbar disappeared after update

I'm in the midst of reinstalling everything on a reformatted computer (don't we all just LOVE computer crashes?).
When I first installed MS Office 2007, I had the Acrobat toolbar in both Word and Outlook.  But then I did an update to Acrobat 7.0 standard, which brought it up to 7.10.  But now I have no toolbar in Office.  I tried to search for answers here but just could not follow.  Any help for a non-computer-guru?
    Thanks,
    Malia

Well, after looking around here and on other forums about the issues between Acrobat (no matter what version) and Office 2007, I could kick myself for not checking it out BEFORE I bought Office 2007!  I'm a virtual assistant and most of my clients use 2007, so I figured it was time for me to catch up since I was having to reinstall everything anyway.
But it just never occurred to me that the newest versions of such popular programs would not "play well" together.  Since buying the newest version of Acrobat won't help (and I do use Acrobat a lot) then it looks like my best alternative would be to just stick with Office 2003 and Acrobat 7.
All the various "work arounds" I've seen just seem too complicated and too much trouble and makes the Office upgrade not worth it to me.
I'll include a couple of relevant links referred to above here in case others looking at this thread might be curious:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/1168098#1168098
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402985.html
If anyone ever has useful info about this, I'd be interested to hear since I guess I'll just tuck away Office 2007 now.
    Thanks,
    Malia

  • Tinyurl toolbar disappeared after I installed FF7.0; the Firefox "fix' did nothing.

I updated to FF7.0 yesterday. I now find that my indispensable TinyURL link tab that had been in my toolbar in the previous FF version has disappeared and is not to be found anywhere. I tried the missing add-ons "fix" featured on the FF website but it did nothing. I need this TinyURL link badly. Can anyone tell me how to make it visible again in FF7.0? Thank you.

For the Comcast Toolbar see Comcast for an updated version of that Toolbar.
See this for the Norton Toolbars. <br />

  • Toolbar Disappeared After Updates

Yesterday I installed updates for Acrobat 8 and Reader X. After doing this I no longer have a Toolbar when I open a pdf in Reader. I restored my computer to a week ago, restored all IE8 Security and Advanced settings to default, reinstalled the Adobe updates and still no toolbar. I CAN display the toolbar with F8 but can't lock it at the top of the page and it won't open with the document. Have looked at settings in Internet, General and Page Display thinking the answer must be there but just can't figure this out. I even deleted and reinstalled the last week's worth of IE Security updates to see if that made a difference and it didn't. What am I missing and why did my setting change with the updates?

    Hi pete54401,
You're not the only one experiecing this issue.
Before, there was a registry key to turn off the "floating toolbar".  When you turned off the floating toolbar in Reader X, you would see the toolbar docked.  This was not an issue in Adobe Reader 10.0.1, but since upgrading to the latest version of 10.1 released on June 14th 2011, this seems to be a problem.
The registry key to turn on the floating tool bar is located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Reader\10.0\AVGeneral\bBrowserDisplayInReadMode = 0
The good news is that this turns off the floating toolbar, the bad news is it also now turns off the docked toolbar.  If you flip this bit to "1"  it turns on the floating toolbar and you can just click the Adobe Reader icon in that toolbar and it will turn off the floating toolbar and then you'll see toolbar become docked.
The bad news is that you'll have to do this every single time you open a new PDF file in IE.
This was not an issue in Reader 10.0.1, it's new to Reader 10.1.
I'm trying to package Adobe Reader X for a large hospital and we have over 20,000 customers that need this toolbar docked because they work daily printing PDFs with a docked toolbar in IE.
This is a new problem, hopefully they'll resolve it before the end of the year.  We've been waiting for a working version since February, it seems they fix one problem but it another one shows up.  I guess we will stay on versoin 9.3 until then.

  • Word 2011 Toolbar disappeared after upgrading to Mountain Lion

Having searched this this forum for help on this problem, I did not find the answer that finally solved this problem for me. So here is the answer in case anyone else is looking. Note that you have to do this for each user account set up on the Mac.
If having issues with viewing your standard toolbar this is usually caused by corruption in your preferences. To reset your preferences to resolve your issue.
Steps to remove the Normal template:
    1. Click on the Apple
    2. Click Force quit
    3. Quit all running programs except for Finder
    4. Click on Go (in the menu bar)
    5. Click Home/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/User Templates
    6. Drag Normal.dotm to the trash
Steps to remove Word 2011 preferences:
    1. Click on the Apple-Force Quit
    2. Quit everything except Finder
    3. Click on Go (in the menu bar)
    4. Click Home/Library/Preferences
    5. Drag com.Microsoft.Word.plist to the trash
    6. Drag the Microsoft folder to the trash
    7. Empty the trash
    8. Open Word to a blank document
    9. Test your toolbar

I was having the same problem after I completely tore down my Macbook Pro mid-2010 in order to replace the keyboard.  (Phew!)  After re-asssembling, everything was working again except for the screen brightness buttons (F1,F2).  I figured it was a bad keyboard, but after zapping the p-ram, the brightness buttons now work as they should.  Thanks for the tip!

  • Bookmarked pages and custom toolbar disappear after firefox crash?

There is no way to restore pages and you have to manually re-drag all the buttons onto the toolbar!
It also seems that if the download window is open, the download time counter messes up your dragging, LOL! Like it updates the time and speed every second, and that resets the position of the item you are dragging, lol! (you wont be able to position the item in just 1 second).
AND - i also cant drag links from address bar to bookmark folders - it just wont "allow" them in... already tried a clean firefox install with folder deletions etc, but its still the same...
Something goes wrong during the import??
    firefox version 4.0.1
windows xp, i7 cpu, 3gigs of ram etc...

  • JDev 10.1.2 main toolbar disappears after removing extensions

    Hi folks,
I have an odd problem that I like to fix rather than re-installing JDev 10.1.2. Recently I purchased a couple of extensions for refactoring and for diagramming. They didn't seem to work too well, so I uninstalled them. Unfortunately, when they uninstalled, they deleted/hid the main toolbar in the process. If anyone has had this problem before and knows how to restore the main toolbar without reinstalling JDev, please let me know. (Thanks.) If you also found that you really did have to re-install, I'd like to know that too. (Thanks again.)

    Shay,
Thanks for the response. It didn't work, but it did lead me to the ide.properties file in the same directory. I unzipped another copy of JDeveloper, took all the MainWindow.Toolbar.count and MainWindow.Toolbar.item* entries (there are 30 total entries) from that copy's ide.properties file, and pasted them into my copy of ide.properties. The icons reappeared and they seem to be working just fine. Will post back here if there are any problems. I do thank you for the post because, without it, I would have spent quite a while reinstalling and reconfiguring JDev.

  • ESS Page not displaying toolbar icons after patching

We just did a patch upgrade to our QA system and since patching, the icons that were associated with the "Timesheet Entry" page of ESS has reverted back to menu buttons i.e. "Menu", "Settings", "Cancel" etc.  Previously we had 2 icons only.  i.e. pensil icon for "change" and a "Setting" icon.
Do I need to edit an HTML page to change this back?  How do I verify what HTML file is associated with this particular page.  Do this also include publishing?
    thanks.
    Marie

I found the solution, We need to change
some coding style by giving conditions for particular version , foe example we should make changes in color initialisation. Insteatof color.red , use [RGB,1,0,0] and many.........

  • Disk utility toolbar disappearing

when using disk utility the toolbar disappears after I open disk util, show toolbar then I close and reopen and the toolbar is gone I have to show it again. any ideas

    If E. Chan's suggestions doesn't help...
Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon.
Now open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.DiskUtility.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac. See if that makes a difference.

  • A third party plug-in disappears after a localization patch installation

I have a third party plug-in installed for PhotoShop CS3.
The third party plug-in disappears after installation of a localization
patch. I tried reinstalling the plug-in, but that does not work.
It appears that after the patch is installed, tw10428.dat maps
the English texts on the menu to Korean.
    "$$$/Menu/Help/AboutPhotoshop=Photoshop 정보(&A)..."
    "$$$/Menu/Help/AboutPlugin=플러그-인 정보(&B)"
    "$$$/Menu/Help/Contents=Photoshop 도움말(&H)..."
    "$$$/Menu/Help/Home=Photoshop 온라인(&O)..."
And somehow, the third party plug-in disappears because it's not mapped
in the .dat file. I tried manually editing the file and to input
entries for the third party tool and that does not seem to work.
Do you know how I can resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance.

    Chris,
How can I install it correctly? It is
The plug-in was working fine before the patch. The patch
is just an executable which I ran after I closed Photoshop.
There wasn't any error message and the instance of Photoshop
works fine when I re-run it other than the fact that the plug-in
is no longer in the menu.

  • I had the 1Password icon on the toolbar but it disappeared after an update. how do i get it back to the toolbar?

I had the 1Password icon on my toolbar but it disappeared after an update. How do I get the icon back to the toolbar. I have tried all of the help instructions but none have worked.

In Safari preferences extensions  or extension gallery, its there and you should re-enable or re-install as long as you have it purchased from Mac App Store.

  • I somehow set my toolbar to disappear after a few seconds, making the screen jump, very annoying, how do I set it back so it stays visible all of the time?

I can't remember where I found the option to make the toolbar invisible until I moved my cursor to where the toolbar usually shows. If I move the cursor again, after a few seconds the toolbar disappears causing the screen to jump up and fill in the space where it was. It is so irritating and I can't find out how to make it visible all of the time.

You can try to check the '''Options''' for the different '''Extensions''' in '''Tools''' ('''Alt''' + '''T''') > '''Add-ons'''. Starting Firefox temporarily in [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe%20Mode Safe Mode] may also help determine if an installed add-on is causing the change.
