BGP peers with same AS number

Hi All,
As in the network topology attached (replica of actual network), I would like to know if there is any way that routes received from PE-RTR1 in CE-RTR can be advertised to PE-RTR2 and vice versa, so that PE-RTR1 & PE-RTR2 can reach each other.
Routing protocol used between PE-RTR1 & CE and PE-RTR2 & CE is BGP.
The issue seems to be due to same AS number of PE-RTR1 & PE-RTR2. It might not be possible to change AS numbers defined. Is there any way to overcome this situation?
Thanks in advance..
Regards,
Nagabhushan

I read that a bit too quickly.
If you're connecting your locations via the ISP and they all use the same AS, they'll all need the statement I mentioned in my previous comment. If you already have communication between them via the ISP, then this command is probably already there.
If you're connecting everything via fibre to the primary location, you can just peer with the other locations using the same AS and you'll be fine... though there are some considerations if you're redistributing BGP into an internal routing protocol.
In your current configuration, is each location seeing the networks from the other sites propagating from the ISP via BGP?

  • Two idocs with same idoc number in idx5

We are using an idoc to file scenario where idocs are bundled using bpm and posted to ftp. here the issue is we are getting two idocs with same idoc number in idx5. due to which the file in ftp is getting overwritten.
Could anyone suggest me what to do in this regard.

    Hi,
    >>>check your sender system is sending same IDoc twice ?
if you send the same IDOC twice they both get different numbers as IDOC number is taken from the IDOC num range
unless you're able to send the same IDOC twice with the same IDOC num somehow

  • Unbale to create new document part with same document number

Number range assigned to the X Document Type is internal. I have created new document (0001) with Document Part 000 & Version 00. For same Document Number when i tried to create New Document part by mentioning Document Numner 0001, Document Part 001 and Version 00, it says Document Type X can be assigned to internal number range only.
Even I tried with following selection....
    Document Number = Blank
    Document Part = 001
    Document Version = 00
    Template:
    Document = 0001
    Document Part = 000
    Document Version = 00
Now system is creating document with new number i.e. 0002.  But we want to create another document part with same Document Number. What is the problem with internal number range for Document Number?

    Hi Pradeep,
Following are the config parameter of the document type.
    CM Relevnce = blank
    Number assignmt= 01
    Internal Number Range =02
    External Number Range= blank
    Number Exit =MCDOKZNR
    Vers. No. Incr. =0
    Version Sequence = blank
    AlternativeScreen = blank
Let me know if you need anything more.

  • Reprinting check with same check number

How to reprint the check with same check number. In transaction FCH7, I am able to reprint the check but it gives another check number. Is there another transaction code to reprint the same check with the same check number
    thankyou

    Hello Sheena,
please disregard the last answer, that works for SAP Business One...
    For your situation:
If you reprint checks with transaction FCH7, you need to void the
previous check (with a void reason) and afterwards the system would
    assign a new check number.
However, if you do it through transaction FBZ5 (print form for Payment
Document), the system will ask you, if you would like to print an
existing check number or would like to get a new check number assigned
(Check -> print->"Check information already exists.
Reprint old check number or assign new check number?" => print with old
    check number).
As per you comments, I assume that the second option (via transaction
FBZ5), is the way you should use to reprint checks without getting
    a new check number assigned.
    Sorry for the confusion...
    Cheers,
    Jon

  • CS4 & CS5 Indy with same serial number

Can CS4 & CS5 Indy with same serial number both be open on the same machine?
    Thanks!

I'm wondering how you have two versions with the same serial number? Volume license maybe?
In the world of single licenses an upgrade from CS4 to CS5 would get a new new number, at least in my experience. As far as installing multiple versions (but not differnt localizations, like US and ME, of the same version) no problem, and I often have multiple versions open at the same time for testing and answereing questions here on the forum.

i got both a PC version and a mac version in my purchase but once i loaded to my PC it will not allow me to load to my Mac with same redemption number. Is there a way to do that?

I was going to ask a similar question - we bought the boxed version of PSE11 with mac and pc disc - can we install the program on our mac as well as our PC? It's already on the PC but would be very handy to have it on Mac also. Thanks

  • BGP peering with ISP

    Hello Guys
I have a scenario where I would like to have your insights.
    1. Client having Main site and DR site connected to same ISP with public IP line.
    2. The client has acquired a public IP block (/24) and would like to use same on both main and DR sites.
Would this be possible through BGP? How can we advertise the same IP block on 2 sites?
The sites need to be in an active-active scenario.
    Thanks

If you're going to advertize the same address block, from two different BGP peers, whether to the same ISP or different ISPs, the expectation is, you can get to or from that address block along either path.  I.e. you need an "internal" path between your two BGP peers.  Otherwise, the "critical" BGP path fails, you continue to advertize an address block that's unreachable.
There's no need to split your block unless you were trying to manually load balance using your two paths.
As another poster noted, you might have asymmetrical routing (depending on path costing), but from a pure L3 perspective it doesn't matter.  It can, though, matter to stateful devices like firewalls.  The latter might be addressed by firewalls at both sites sharing state information.

  • ISP BGP peering with HSRP for redundancy

we have a router7507, BGP peering to one ISP. Now, we need a router redundancy solution.
I want to use HSRP in the BGP peering interface, because the ISP only peering us a IP address, I have to use HSRP on two router interfaces, and use HSRP virtual IP to peer the ISP, do you think this solution is working, or some troubles, will BGP work fine with HSRP interfaces?
    thanks.

yes BGP works fine with HSRP interface. Here is some sample configurations for your reference.
    Router A Configuration (ISP Router):
    interface ethernet 0
    ip address
standby 1 ip (The ip should be same as above command)
    standby 1 priority 110
    standby 1 track Serial0.100
    standby 1 preempt
    Router B Configuration (client Router):
    interface ethernet 0
    ip address
standby 1 ip (The ip should be same as ISPs address>
    standby 1 priority 105
    standby 1 track Serial0.100
    standby 1 preempt

  • Re-issue voided checks with same check number

    Hi All,
We accidentally voided a check which has already been received by the vendor. We want to re-issue the check in our system, but it wont reconcile as the check numbers are different. Is it possible to change the check number?
    Regards,
    Pooja

    Hi Pooja
Lets assume that the cheque numbers that were voided were from 10001 to 10521. So create a payment document against the same bank account which was used earlier and assign the document numbers 10001 to 10521. Now again create a new payment batch with the same set of parameters as provided previously. Ensure that the same invoices are selected by the batch (no less or more). Now submit the batch. This way the system should assign the same cheque number to the supplier sites which were issued previously. So if a supplier was issued 10002 cheque number with an amount of $1000 previosuly, then this batch should also issue the same cheque number for the same amount against that supplier. Please ensure that the system is bahving in the same way as thought. Else you might have to generate manual payments for each of these 521 payments :(.
In this way, you will not be required to do any swapping or run any custom script. While reconciling, you will match the bank payments with this new payments.
    Hope this clarifies.

  • 2 Shopping Cart items with same item number

    Hi experts,
We are facing a problem I never heared before : a shopping cart has been created with total of 51 items in SRM but some of them have the same item number in BBP_PD (2 items nr 16, 17...).
For example, the 2 items nr 16 have a different Guid, only 1 entry in status section (I113 => OK), 2 entries in Partner section (vendor, requester, receiver, ship-to & site => OK), 2 entries in organization section, only 1 entry in item link section, 2 entries in concract section, 2 entries in account assignment section.
Functionnally, these 2 items are not on the same article (even product categories are different).
The problem now is that only one of the 2 items has been transfered to the backend, the other item has status "approved" but no "follow-on document created".
The only thing diffrent from another SC is that this SC has been put on hold before being ordered (status I1009 is inactive).
I didn't found any note on this problem, we are user SRM5.5 SP6 with classical scenario.
I heared about a maximum item number in SC but I think in SRM5 there is no limitation, at least not less than 99 items.
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Best regards,
    Benjamin

    Hi,
please try to process the Held SB ,backend document will be created. since Creation of Shopping cart is in WEB processing of time take more normally .I think you can create a line item of
999 line in SB because in backend SAP R/3 it will allow only 999 line items

  • Multipages with same check number

While printing check, I have 100line items for same vendor. going to give single check . while printing with standard program and layout,it is printing 3pages and printing 3checks in each page.it is creating first 2 voided check and 3rd one is original.but issue is, it is creating 3 checks in different numbers.if it is 100001,100002,100003 three check, 100001,100002 is voided and 100003 is original check. but for my requirement all the page should have same check number and 2pages voided and 3rd page is original check.100001(voided),100001(voided),100001(original)like this has to print.can any1 help on this ?

    Hi ,
See whether this will be useful to u .....
The print program is RFFOUS_C, see if the checkbox "Do not Void any Checks" is off or on.
This setting has influence on the check numbers being consumed for multi-page check printing.
Is it multiple pages due to a long remittance advice (item list)?

  • Issue Related to Billing Document F2 with same Invoice Number.

    Hi All,
I have 3 Sales Order with 2 Sales Order belonging to Sales Org A and one belonging to Sales Org B. The Invoice generated for all the deliveries for Sales Order has the same Invoice Number. As per the standard functinality it is not possible to generate same Invoice Number for Sales Order belonging to different Sales Organisation. I have chekced the Table VBFA the preceding document for the Invoice Number I am getting 3 entries. Please could you help me out in analysing his issue. Where the possible error could be ?.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sam.

Kindly check as it could be due to the Single Invoice generated for collective three Deliveries.
As per the standard functinality it is not possible to generate same Invoice Number for Sales Order belonging to different Sales Organisation
This is not a standard Functionality. But if you have made a Logic in the Copy Control Routine then it could be possible.
Single Invoice Number can be generated for one or more Deliveries if you process it through VF04.

  • Lightroom reinstallation on different mac with same serial number.

im using lightroom on my mac air.
and im planning to buy a mac pro soon.
in that case, is it possible to use lightroom on my new mac pro with the same serial numbers that im using now on mac air?
(im not going to use lightroom on mac air)

Adobe allows two installations of Lightroom on different computers with the proviso that only one can be used at any one time. (There is no on-line activation/de-activation process, only your honesty.)
Just install on the new mac pro with the same serial number.
Note: If the Mac Air has an "update" version installed (for example -you upgraded from LR3 to LR5) then you will need both Serial Numbers for LR3 & the LR5-update, to install on the new Mac pro.
