BH-600 Headset - No sound through speaker

Hi,
I have a Nokia BH-600 headset which has no sound through the earpiece after successful pairing with my phone which is a Nokia E61i. It used to work perfectly until I upgraded the software for the phone.
I have had Nokia Customer Support try to sort it out over the phone, with no success. The guy I dealt with tried very hard to help me, but unfortunately with no success. I was told to take the phone into Nokie Customer Care centre, which I did yesterday. The woman I dealt with was friendly and helpful and tested the phone in front of me and said that the speaker in the earpiece was broken, and as the earpiece was under warranty she gave me a new earpiece.
However, when I got home I charged the battery of the Nokia BH-600 headset and paired the device to my E61i phone successfully. But geuss what? Exactly the same problem as I had before. I am now even more convinced that the problem occurred when I upgraded the software to the E61i phone. Can anyone offer any assistance.

A sign of a bad company is when no one from the company gets back to people with problems with their products.
I bought Nokia because I thought they sold quality products. The shop I bought the Nokia BH-600 headset had a much cheaper headset available, but I chose the Nokia because I thought it was a quality product. I was proven wrong.
You would think that someone from Nokia on a "Nokia Support Discussions" website would have responded to this problem by know, but I believe that the reason there is no response is that they realise the headset is a dud.

Ok check if there's anything wrong with the volume settings, both the ring speakers and the normal. to set the volume that is not the ringtone go to music app and change the volume there. if that doesn't help, go to an apple store and get it checked.

  • Suddenly Podcast app only produces sound through speaker, not headphones

I have not updated to iOS 8 on my iPhone 4S because I heard there were issues, and I've already ordered (but haven't yet received) my new iPhone 6. I don't know if there was a Podcast update that downloaded automatically separately, but suddenly last night, I couldn't hear any sound from the Podcast app through my headphones. I thought it might be a problem with the headphones, because when I removed them, the file played fine through the 4S's speaker, and when I attached it to a clock radio later last night, it played fine through that too.
This morning, however, I tried listening to songs via Spotify with the headphones, and they worked just fine. But the Podcast app still didn't produce any sound. OR, rather, when I turned the volume to max, you could hear something, but not loud enough to actually make out the voices. I then tried playing an album in my Music app, and it worked fine. I tried restarting the iPhone. I tried deleting and reinstalling the Podcast app. I tried a hard reset of the iPhone. The only result from all of that was that now something's wrong with the Music app too, and while the music track comes through, the vocal track is very quiet, almost inaudible.
Anyone have any idea what's going on, how/why this is happening and most importantly, what to do about it?
    Help!

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting the phone, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not work, try to set it up as new device without using the latest backup, to rule out a software issue.
If still no sound, you might have a hardware problem, and the phone needs to be serviced.

  • Ipod nano 5 - sound through speaker and head phones

When playing music, the sound is coming through the internal speaker and the head phones.
When I adjust the volume, only the internal speaker is adjusted.  The head volume is no effected and is too loud.

Make sure the headphones are plugged ALL the way in, meaning no silver from the headphones plug can still be seen.
If that doesn't help, try a hard reset.  To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

  • No sound through speak

Hey all this is my first time on these boards. I purchased a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 nx a couple days ago and love it. I plugged in some headphones and the sound was amazing. My problem is when I plug in my speakers I get nothing. They are Boston Acoustics model BA5700G. They are pretty old but still work great with my other card. Its a 4 speaker setup with a sub. I already tried plugging in a crappy 2 speaker setup and it worked just fine. Any ideas or help would really be great.

    Mascorona,
I suspect that your Boston Acoustics are digital speakers. Unfortunately the Audigy 2 NX does not have a digital DIN connector that these speakers can use. Your best solution would probably be to use this as an opportunity to upgrade your speakers to 5. or 7..
I would highly recommend one of these sets of speakers:

  • Sound through speaker and headphones

The sound from my Nano 5th generation comes through the speakers and headphones simultaneously.  I have tried 3 sets of headphones
and the plug goes fully into the socket atr the base of the Nano.
This happened initially over 11 months ago and seem to rectify itself, but now it's back.  Any thoughts about how I can resolve this.
    Thank you.

    A reset should fix it:
Double click the Home button. Slide up with one finger on ALL your apps to close them.
Then, Press the Sleep/Wake button + Home button and hold 15 seconds or until you see the Apple logo.
This will reset your device without erasing data, apps or settings.

  • Nokia 6230 - no sound through speaker

    Hi everyone,
I'm using a UK Nokia 6230 on v04.28. For a few weeks now I've been having trouble with the speaker. Ringtones, videos and mp3's will not work at all. Keyboard tones work fine. Phone hasn't had a drop or contact with water or anything. I guess the speaker isn't busted because when you change videos or songs you can actually hear the end of the previous clip when you change - which is very odd.
In addition when switched on the phone sometimes flashes up "request cancelled" automatically I don't know if this is related.

With the two faults, if it is in warranty then you can get these fixed (assuming there is no liquid or physical damage to the phone) free of charge. If the phone is out of warranty you would be charge a small fee to fixed the speaker and to upgrade the software

    Hi Guys,
My iPhone is stuck in a mode where it thinks the headset is still plugged in.
I cant get any sounds through the speaker. Cant hear sms or emails arrive. If the phone rings i hear it but pple cant hear me or i cant hear them.
The phone works fine with the headphones plugged in.
I have tried all the usual solutions, inserted and removed the headset (at least 50 times)
    Soft reboot
    full restore
Nothing seems to work. I have searched on this and it seems to be a well know issue but there doesnt seem to be any firm solutions that i can find to fix the problem

If no change after inserting and removing the headset at least 50 times, powering the iPhone off and on, an iPhone reset, and restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

  • New headset, but certain programs are transmitting sound through speakers and not headphones.

    Spoiler (Highlight to read)
    Hello,
    Hello,
I just recently purchased a new headset for gaming but have been having some issues with it and the system sound. One major issue is when I call someone on skype, the sound from Skype or the call will go through the headphones, but any other audio comes out of the speakers. I have also notices that iTunes also does not function when I am in a call as well. Some examples would be if I were to want to watch a YouTube video while in a call, the sound would come through the speakers and not the headphones. However, I did find a fix for it. All I had to do was disable the main speakers and the audio was transmitted to the headphones. Another example would be if I wanted to run games via Steam (Garry's Mod, TF2, ect.), I wouldn't get any sound whatsoever from the game. Not through my speakers or headphones. With one exception, Garry's Mod volume I can hear through the speakers while in a Skype call, but I want the sound to come through the headphones. But with TF2, I get no sound whatsoever. If you need any more information about my issue, please feel free to ask. Thank you.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.
I have read your post on how certain programs are transmitting sound through speakers and not the headphones, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To ensure that your headphones are utilized when plugged into your notebook, I recommend following the steps below:
    1. Click the Start button
    2. Click Control Panel
    3. Click on Hardware and Sound (sorting the control panel icons by "category"), and then click on Sound
    4. Under Playback, you should see one or two speaker icons. One of them should already have a green checkmark next to it (which will be your notebook's main speakers). If the second Speakers icon is not visible, right-click in the list of devices and select Show Disabled Devices
    5. A second, disabled icon of "speakers" should appear. Right-click this icon and click Enable
    6. Select the newly enabled speaker device, right-click it, and select "Set as Default Device".
    7. Click Apply.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • Hi there just wondered if anybody had lost sound through the speaker

Upgraded to I OS5 and lost all sound through the onboard speaker it plays but to sound from it unless I plug it into the headset or into the IPad key board dock (genuine IPad product). Have been in touch with Apple and tried all their suggestions to no avail.Came back with "my IPad must be faulty". If so then why do I get sound through the dock and headset?  any ideas any one!! Oh its the IPad one buy the way, many thanks in anticipation Trevor

Did they have you check to see that Settings > Side Switch is set to Lock Rotation and not Mute...and if Mute, then switch it back and forth to make sure you are not on mute?
If not on mute, it might be time for a visit to your friendly Apple Retail store and have the genius bar folks have a look.

  • HT201401 My iphone 4 wont play sound through the internal speaker. Will play if I hook up headphones. I have reset it, restored it, and it does the same thing.

My iphone 4 wont play sound through the internal speaker. Will play if I hook up headphones. I have reset it, restored it, and it does the same thing. I can still hear when i make calls too. The the output button only says dock connector or apple tv.

If the phone has ever gotten wet it may be damaged. It may also have dirt or a bent pin in the dock connector or the earphone jack. Try cleaning the dock connector and inspecting it with a magnifying glass. Try inserting and removing the earphone plug several times. If you have restored it and that did not fix the problem damage is the most likely cause.

  • I cannot get sound through my laptop speakers ever since I used a digital speaker

I cannot get sound through my laptop speakers ever since I used an external digital speaker.  Cannot seem to switch back to lap top speakers in my SYSTEM PREFERENCES...only showing DIGITAL out put option

    Hi there Lutostan,
It sounds like you have disconnected the digital audio speakers from your MacBook Pro but all you have available in your audio settings. Take a look at this info from the following article named:
Troubleshooting issues with no audio from built-in speakers on Macs
If the Internal Speakers option does not appear in the Output tab and your computer is not a Mac Pro, check that Digital Out is present as in the image below:
Confirm again that all external audio devices and cables have been removed.
Check to see if a red light is lit in the line-out port. If so, your Apple computer may need service.
If you do not see a red light, proceed to step 5.
If the issues persist, contact Apple support for further troubleshooting assistance.

  • IPod only funnels sound through left speaker

my iPod Classic (120 gb) has suddenly stopped funneling sound through both speakers and now only plays through the left speaker, on whatever output i'm using, be it speakers, headphones, whatever. I had a similar problem with the last iPod i had -- a 30gb iPod video -- and my main question i suppose is if this is an easy fix with a simple solution or if my ipod is screwed and its time to get a new one. Thanks preemptively for all of your responses, hopefully i don't have to go too long without hearing both sides of harmonized guitar solos -_-

i would check the headphone 35mm jack for any foreign materials, as they may cause lessened connectivity.

  • Mac will not play sound through JBL Bluetooth speaker

My MacBook Pro will connect to the Bluetooth speaker, but refuses to play the sound through it. Seems like it isnt just me who has this issue. What can I do to connect it? Please help.
Note: It works fine with other devices.

UPDATE: Fixed this by simply disconnecting the speaker, turning the volume up full then reconnecting. Saw it on another post, didnt think it would work but surprisingly it did. Very Strange.
