BH-905 - unsupported accessory when wired to E73 a...

I absolutely love my BH905's...if only they came with a replaceable battery...but that problem is hopefully, years down the road.
Any way, I tried using the cable to plug in to my E73 and my E6 (think of listening to music on an airplane, with the phone in offline mode) and both phones report that I have attached an unsupported accessory.
Why can't I wire my bh905's to my Nokia phones?

Called Nokia Support.  Disconnected first time as I was relaying my call back number. Oh the irony..
Second call, it took 25 minutes for the support rep to understand that I was trying to use the wire to connect the headphones to the handset. Yes, 25 minutes.
Once the light turned on for the rep, the issue was escalated to level 2. We'll see what happens, but the specs on the headset clearly say:
http://www.nokiausa.com/find-products/accessories/all-accessories/headsets/bluetooth-headsets/nokia-...
Hands-free phone calls and music listening (without active noise cancellation) possible even with empty battery (wired connection)
Will post more once I hear back

Have you checker the connectors on both the transmitter and Nano for any signs of damaged, corroded pins?  It might help to take a can of compressed air to each.  The error message may be simply a result of the iPod Nano not getting a full connection with the transmitter at first.

  • Error -201342 "Unsupported Accessory" when using MAX to create tasks PXIe-4330 & TB-4330.

    Hi all!
I have an -18 slot PXI chassis with multiple PXIe-4330 and TB-4330 installed.   When attaching any TB-4330 to the -4330 module within slot 11 and generating a task within MAX, the system returns the following error: "-201342, unsupported accessory". Any task can read all other slots without generating an error.
I don't expect this to be SN based as the TB is interchangable with -4330s in other slots though MAX will not allow me to add a TB-4330 to the configuration.
How can i help MAX see the TB-4330 within slot 11?  Is there a driver update that corrects this?
    Thank you!

  • Console not seeing Media Centre when wired through...

I have an issue that is causing no end of problems. My current wired network and wifi SSIDs
BT Home Hub 2----- DHCP - Wifi 802.11g only {SSID}OLD
      |             |
      |           Sky HD Box (Wired)
      |           XBOX360_1 (Wired)
      |
    TP-Link WR1043N router --- Wifi 802.11n {SSID}N
      |            |
    WinXP1   WinXP2
    Connected to {SSID}OLD I have:
                                              2 PS3 consoles
                                              XBOX360_2
                                              WinXP3 (laptop)
                                              WinXP4 (desktop)
    Connected to {SSID}N I have:
                                              XBOX360_3
                                              3 tables
                                              4 android phones
                                              Win7_1
All hardware can connect to the internet without problems and anything connect to both {SSID}N and {SSID}OLD or wired running through the WR1043N router can communicate without issue.
WinXP1 hosts a a number of services (Web, POP, FPT) which communicate out to the internet as well as all internal devices and also hosts a Tversity Media Server. It also acts as a print server for the house with all devices taking advantage of the network printing, both Win and LRP, once again without issue.
Thanks to WMP11, WinXP1 also hosts a secondary media player and the WR1043N router also hosts a media player. All devices on both and either wireless network can see all 3 media players and play video and media flawlessly.
However I am having a problem with the 1 piece of hardware that is wired into the Home Hub itself. The device named XBOX360_1 can communicate fine on the internet (XboxLive, Lovefilm, IE) but it cannot reliably see any of the 3 media servers running on the network. Sometimes it sees nothing, then it sees them all but cannot connect, then it sees 1, lists the media available but will not play anything.
I have tried all 3 XBOX360 consoles in that port and non of them can see the media servers when wired into the Home Hub, yet all 3 can see it when wireless. I have not tried wiring the consoles into the WR1043N router but as the WinXP2 can see everything on WinXP1 fine, I am happy it is nothing to do with the TP-Link kit.
Also as anything connecting through {SSID}OLD has to pass through a wired network through WR1043N, I can say it is not a comms issue between WR1043N and HH2.
I am only left with the possiblity that something on the HH2 is blocking traffic between 2 wired ports or is introducing an increased amount of network lag, worse than over wifi. I have tried a combination of all 4 ports on the HH2 and tried 3 different network cables between HH2 and the console and nothing seems to work.
Is there any experience of there been communication issues between the ports on HH2 previously, or is there anyone out there with any more ideas because I am all out of them.
    Thanks
I am guided by a force much greater than luck.

ps3 Wired to HH - dlna protocol error 7531 - Appears to be a generic comms failure.
Win7 Wired to HH  - intermittant, slow, not Ideal
** Decided rather than moving my consoles about I would swap out the routers first **
Swap out the WR1043N entirely for a switch - same results as previous test when running through HH. No/intermittant connection to DLNA/Media servers slow/intermittant connection over HTTP, port 8080 etc
    Now the good news
Swap out the HH2 entirely for a switch -  flawless performance across all connections and protocols. HH2 spurred off the switch so still had internet enabled and HH still acted as DNS, the only difference is the XBOX is not passing through the HH to talk to media server.
It appears there is some interferance being introduced between the ethernet ports on the HH2 so time to replace it. The Win7 laptop is able to compensate for this to some expent but the consoles cannot.
I unplugged the Sky box which also plugs into the HH and it does seem to at least transmit the Media Server library, but as soon as streaming starts, it cuts off again.
    I only see 3 solutions
    1. Ask BT for a new HH, unlikely due to its age
    2. move to another provider and get a new modem/router free
    3. buy another modem and move the WR1043N, great more money and not what I bought the WR1043N
Personally I am thinking option 2 is the least hassle and most cost effective. Thanks for the bounce off anyway.

  • WRT610n VPN / exchange issue can't connect to server when wired (works wireless)

I had issues with connecting to my exchange server over the internet and while still in warranty I got assistance to fix that issue.  What I did not notice then or maybe it started later when I have tried to do the same thing directly wired to the router ( for faster updating)  I can't make the connection.   It seems truly bizarre  that it would work wirelessly but not when wired.  I'm now out of warranty and they want me to pay to have them give me the settings needed to make it work.

Reduce MTU value to 1365 on the router. Also,do port trigerring for the ports number 47,443-447,500,1723,2350 on the router.

  • Wireless connections are unusable (slowdown) when Wired connection is being used?

Why do Wifi connections slow down to a unusable when the Wired connection is being used continuously (e.g. downloading software, media, large files)?
    How do I stop this?
I don't want the Wired connection to have some form of SuperGod priority over Wireless connections.
We are using the Linksys WRT54GL router
Ping/Latency times go from less than 100ms, when Wired connection is downloading, it shoots up to 550ms+ to over 1 second.
Websites just time out or take 5 minutes to load a broken form of it as if it half the HTML cut off in random places and the stylesheet is missing.
Download speed goes from 15Mb/s to .2 Mb/s
Online games are unplayable.  I die before I can get the chance to move or attack.

    Thanks.
Is that the only way it will work, device-MAC address one?
What does Ethernet Port priority do?
I enabled QoS with its default setting on which has all the Ethernet ports set to Low and it did absolutely nothing to improve usability.
Does Wired QoS have any effect on Wireless connections?
Does the field for Optimizing Game Apps affect applications on computers using a Wireless connection?
There is a Wireless QoS section... However it doesn't have any options in it to select devices, port priority, or anything...?
What does enabling WMM Support do?

  • Loss of laptop wireless connection when wired desktop connects

I haven't had this problem when i first bought the router but recently if my desktop is connected by a wired connection I am either unable to connect wirelessly via laptop, or if I am already connected, will be disconnected. Can anyone help please??? Thank you

Are you using any fixed LAN IP addresses on your network?  If so, list all the fixed LAN IP addresses that you use.  Also, if you are not using the default DHCP server range of 192.168.1.100  thru  192.168.1.149 , then please state your DHCP server range.

  • Don't configure wi-fi (wireless) if/when (wired) ethernet is connected?

Is there a way to have mac os x not configure the wireless if/when the wired ethernet is "Connected".
My problem is that the wired connection is much more robust and I would prefer that connection.
I want both to use dhcp and request a hostname to be associated with the IP given by dhcp.
Since the wireless will almost always come up after the wired ethernet, it seem to want to
still the hostname to IP association and establish it for the wireless IP address.
This is not what I want.
The use case: put laptop to sleep.  Move to a location that has wired ethernet.
Laptop is still asleep with the lid closed. Connect the wired ethernet cable.
Open the lid. Laptop wakes up and quickly establishes a connection using
dhcp on the wired ethernet.   I little time later the wireless connection gets established.
The hostname get stolen from the wired and moved to the wireless which is
    not at all optimal.
If there is anyway to avoid this, I would really appreciate it if someone could point
    me to the solution.
    Thanks.

This is a bug in OS X. It seems if WiFi is on, even if there is a Ethernet cable connected it always defaults to the WiFi connection. Even if the WiFi is off and you have a Ethernet cable connected when you turn on the computer and then turn on WiFi it again defaults to the WiFi connection.
I notice this all the time with file transfers across my home LAN. If the MBP WiFi is on the transfers take forever.
If I turn off WiFi files move much quicker from computer to computer. If I then turn on WiFi and do another transfer it goes slow again. This is with a Ethernet cable connected the whole time.
The computer, any computer, should aways default to the fastest connection no matter what other connections are available. In OS X this is not the case.
The other bug you are seeing is the NetBIOS name, Host name, not being propagated properly on the WINS tab under Network, Advanced, WINS, at least it is for me. Which stops Windows PCs from connecting to a Mac.
Sure the Mac Host name shows up on Win PCs but when trying to reach the Mac it comes up with a Username & Password dialog and even though you type in the correct Username & Password for the Mac it comes back with "Name or Password are incorrect".

  • Can't connect laptop when wired desktop is switched on.

    Hi,
I have a Linksys WRT54G2 router and a laptop (wireless) and desktop (wired) which both connect fine however if I turn on the desktop before the laptop or turn the desktop on while the laptop is running the laptop loses connection. When this happens the laptop displays all the available wireless networks but can’t see my one. The only way to I can get it working again is to restart the router.
Both machines are running windows XP. The wireless is using WPA2 Personal security. This problem has always occurred since buying this router.
Let me know if there is any other information required.
    Many thanks.

Just flash your router's firmware and see if it corrects your problem...
    Download the Firmware from here

  • 2013 Honda Civic Si, SMS Text Message Function says "Unsupported Device" when trying to use this feature with iPhone 5. Can anyone help with this?

In my 2013 Honda Civic Si, I'm trying to use the SMS Text Message Function, but keep getting the error message, "Unsupported Device".
I use an iPhone 5 with latest iOS 6.1.4.
HandsFreeLink works perfectly fine with my iPhone for voice calls and for streaming Bluetooth Audio. Does text messaging not work because of iMessage? Does anyone have any suggestions for this issue?
    Thanks in advance!

In looking for a 2013 Honda Civic (LX model, no Navi), the text feature was very interesting and important to me. Why not have my texts available on the dash and read to me rather than messing with my phone. Anyway I won't go into the whole thing about safety while you're in your driving and all that. We all know what we should and shouldn't do. Anyways...
I spoke to a salesman who said that this feature was not compatible with the iPhone, only BBs. Of course this didn't impress me and I found it hard to believe that Honda would restrict themselves like that. Anyway, a few searches on the web later and Honda shows that the iPhone 4, 4S and 5 are compatible for receiving texts through the car, just not sending them. I believe you need a minimum of iOS 5+ for it to work though.
Once I found this the salesman and I did some testing with our phones. He has a 4S with iOS 6.1.3 and mine is a 4 with iOS 6.1.3. Initially we setup the phone using the Bluetooth config on the Civic's iMID display. It was setup and hands-free calling tested o.k. Next the texting was tested. Both of us have iMessage turned on. Neither of us could get the messages we would send each other (1 of us had our phone setup with the car, the other sent the text and vice versa). The messages were received by the phones, just not the car). When we would go under the Text Message section, it would say "Unsupported Device". I knew that couldn't be as Honda said it was compatible. After more web searches and a phone call to Honda by the salesman, I found the following.
    1) It seems like the person who had their phone paired with the Civic had to disable iMessage to start getting texts. The salesman still had it enabled on his though when he sent me texts (as SMS) and the Civic got them so both people aren't necessarily required to disable it. Now under the Text Message section, it would list the messages received.
    2) I changed the Notifications on my phone for Messages from Banner to Alerts. Once I did this it started to work. The texts were showing up on the car. I had read where another person had tried this successfully but then changed it back to Banner and it continued to work. I experienced the same thing.
Granted this wasn't extensive testing but I was able to get it to do something closer to what I wanted. I'm not sure why Apple and Honda can't put their heads together to make sending texts work on the car but maybe someday it will work when enough people complain. It's kind of a disappointment that I couldn't get iMessage to work but I haven't given up hope yet. As it's a proprietary protocol, I can see Honda not supporting it though.
    Hope this helps someone out!
    FYI I bought car!

    hi,
OEP 11.1.1.7.0 is built on JDK 1.6, and I believe NoSQL DB 3 is on JDK 7. So it is impossible to run this version.

  • Help with wireless speed when wired is perfect!

I have Verizon FiOS internet and a Macbook 13" with OS X 10.6.4. When I am hard wired to my Verizon router, my internet speed is perfect (download/upload tests confirm this). When I am wireless, my internet crawls (and the download test reflects a FAR lower number). I spoke to Verizon and they said that it's not an internet problem because it works perfectly wired and that it's likely an Apple issue that's not allowing the wireless to work properly. My Verizon router IS next to my TV, but even when I moved it and put the computer right next to it, internet speed is incredibly slow. Let me know if you need further info and thanks so much in advance for any help!
    Eric

    Welcome to the discussions!
When I am wireless, my internet crawls (and the download test reflects a FAR lower number)
Is is possible for you to take the MacBook down to the coffee place, library or other location with wireless available? If so, you can test to see what type of connection you get.
If the MacBook connects well and pages load at good speeds...as I suspect they will...you will have confirmation that the MacBook is working fine and the issue is with the wireless on the FIOS router. If that's the case, you need to insist that FIOS techs come to your house so you can check out and test any changes they make before they leave.
If, on the other hand, you find that the MacBook still performs very slowly, then it's probably time to have the laptop's wireless card or internal antenna checked out for proper operation at the Apple store.

  • Why is my MacBook dropping wifi connection and slow when wired?

    Dropping internet regularly
Regardless of wireless or wired, my MacBook often loses it's connection to the network. It's most noticeable when wireless, but will sit there churning trying to load a page either way too much lately.
What do I need to do to troubleshoot please?

I had about the same problem and fixed it by updating the firmware of my router

  • Apple tv can not connect to library when wired to modem instead of wifi

My network consists of a Fios router, which I have shut off the wireless on. That is wired into a Nighthawk wireless router. So, there is only 1 wifi network.
The Fios router is wired directly into 3 Apple TVs.  I am unable to airplay onto the AppleTVs nor is AppleTV able to find my Library (it finds the name and then can not connect). I presume the issue relates to the AppleTVs being wired into the modem - and even though that is wired directly into my wireless router, when I am on a wireless device in my house, it can not reach through the wifi router and to the modem, which connects to the AppleTVs. Similarly, the AppleTVs seem unable to reach back through the Fios router, through the wired connection to the wireless router, which is connected via wifi with my computer with iTunes running on it. Other than wiring the AppleTVs directly into the wireless router (instead of the Fios modem). I would have thought that the modem and wireless router would act as a single network if wired together, but that appears not to be the case. Thank you

PROBLEM SOLVED! holy crap i feel dumb.
Connect360 was running in the background on my Mac. I've noticed when I have my Mac streaming to my Apple TV, and when Connect360 is pulling from iTunes as well-they like to fight. I disabled Connect360 and my library popped right up.
    Thanks for the help.

  • WRT530N recently started to drop Wireless Signal when wired computer boots

In the last week or so the wirlessly connected computer sees the wireless signal (WMP300N card) drop whenever the wired computer is booted. Looking at the router one can see the wireless light go off briefly. The Wireless computer, XP SP3 is the one effected, so I opened the WIRELESS NETWORKS and I can see it go from CONNECTED to ACQUIRING ADDRESS.
We've got a wireless printer, and HP, and it too seems to be effected, as it rings a chime when it connects.
I've had it drop with all computers off as well, or even all on, too recently.
Is the router 'dying' or do I need to re-flash it (it has the latest), or reset to original defaults?
    Suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Irv S.

You are not understanding. Just because the link is at 270 mbps, does not mean you are actually getting that speed.
The whole 2.4 spectrum is only 60 mhz. 40 mhz uses bonded channels which means it is subject to 2 times the amount of interference as 20 mhz. It is using 2/3 of the 2.4 spectrum. So if there are any other wireless networks around, or wireless devices that use that spectrum you will see a dramatic loss in speed, but not necessarily the link it shows.
While it may show a link of 270 mbps, it may only be using 10mps due to interference.
I do understand that. I've run InSSIDer and checked what is also in the area. I see only 2 other SSID's, and both are very weak. Live in single family homes here. I would think most of my neighbor's are not techies and wouldn't hide the SSID's. Only one of them isn't a default SSID as well.
I've checked the speed between my Gigabit wired and my wife's wireless when copying files via Windows explorer. Moving at the rate of about 20 - 25MBps, here machine is only 10 feet from the router. Lowest speed is about 12MBps at times. Depends on the drive on here machine, RAID 0, standard or external. Could be the disk speed that is the limit here, not the connection.
Checking the iPad, it showed 20Mbps with and without the 40Mhz channel, that had no effect on it?
My other router, the ASUS RT-N56U is due back from Repair today. I'll be putting that back and we'll see if that fixes this problem? If it does, I'm going to RESET this LinkSys and put it back and see what happens. I'll try relashing it too if necessary.
    Thanks,
    Irv S.
