  • Step incrementing of .ini file and check and changing the content within step

Hello I want to increment the [step002] automatically in the .ini file. If the steps are copied and pasted more times in already existing file, where by doing so the step numbers are doubled. For example if there exists  [Step002] followed by content of it and then [Step001] and followed by contet of it and  [Step002] followed by content of it. And if a person copies [Step002] with its content 80 times or n number of times then the last one should be automatically incremented  to new number as [Step003] and [Step004] [Step005]. And then I want to arrange the content under each step. In my file I have a " Group_Start = Step001" and  " Group_Name = OQ_004 set high port" as contents in each step. I want to arrange the group name.
What I want is, if in the newly copied [Step002] which would have already been incremented to [Step004], it would contain Group_Name = OQ_004 set high port which I have highlighted in italics, if this already exists some where in the file, then its corresponding Group_Start = Step001 which I have highlighted in italics should be given to the newly copied and incremented [Step004]. And in case the Group_Name = OQ_004 set high port which I have highlighted in italics does not match any where then its corresponding Group_Start will be as Group_Start = Step004. That means since the group name is new and it does not exist already in the file, the Group_Start should take its step number [Step004] which her I have highlighted in italics, as its Group_Start = Step004. Here with I attach my file and I also attach my steps which I had tried. It would be nice if solution is given or further step ideas from my steps to complete the task is given.
    Thank you.

Hello, Thank you for your reply. May be I break it into steps. Now where I am struck is that if there are say random numbers some repeated ones
example 001, 002, 002, 002, 004, 007, 006 etc.. I would like get sorted in ascending order and also the reapeated numbers should be in the running order. That means 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 006 etc.. There should not be repeated numbers.if reapeatd then the repeated one should have to be incremented from the previous one. If this has been solved then I can explain the other part and shall aslo goahead. I had already tried one method but the loop seems to be not exactly matching. There are some numbers which come extra. You can use the same config file which I had sent earlier. Just copy and paste the steps below or inbetween and use it for testing. Thank you

  • Creation of new entity on ADEP content server fails

    Hi.
I get the following error when trying to persist a new instance of an entity into the content (experience?) server:
Create Item Failed, RepositoryException: {Code}-LCC-REP-FCT-002, {Message}-Access denied
The new instance is defined in a Flex GUI and connected to the content Server through Data Services.  The error occurs when I try to develop the simple app shown in
Session #9: Using Model Driven Development with Persistence in the ADEP Content Repository (http://www.youtube.com/watthech?v=rNnLC8fADlc).
I have loaded the sdk, samples and cmis packages.  RDS and Unsecured RDS are enabled on the server.  The Deployment Handler is set to content on the Flex GUI.
I think it fails becuase the app does give appropriate security creditials to the server, but don't know how to do so (as commented by Hodmi on the YouTube page).
Would appreciate any help to make progress as I am keen to see what ADEP can do.
    Regards
    Jamal

    Jamal-
    Check out this link: http://learn.adobe.com/wiki/display/ADEPSamples/Model-driven+Development
In the Run the Application section, the step I've copied below will solve your issue.  I actually did not change the permissions on the "content" node (step 4), but selected my application node under content, and that also worked.
    Have fun with ADEP!
    -Matt
PS-Thanks to Gary for pointing me in the right direction for this answer.
To create node or delete node when running the application, you can  use anonymous user but you need to configure the ACL for the user  according to the following steps:
    Open http://<server_name>:<server_port>.
Enter admin/admin as user name/password, click Sign In.
Click Content Explorer in the right side panel.
Click the node “content” in the left tree.
In the top bar, click Security > Access Control Editor.
Click the check box next to ACL, then click Set selected policies.
Click New ACE, and then click Browse, select user, and click Search Now, select anonymous, and click select.
    In Privileges list, select jcr:all.
Click the Green arrow, and then click OK
Note: If you want to add  authentication for the application, the login page should be needed, and  you can refer to the detailed sample code to learn how to add  authentication to such applications.

  • Missing Folder in "PeopleTools Portal Structure & Content"

    Greeting,
    Previously
i have imported a project(created by other developers) and build it, it will automatically exist in fronted.
But this time i have no luck, i do the same step in another enviroment and it's not exist in frontend, i try to goto
    "PeopleTools > Portal > Structure & Content"
i realized that my folder for the project is not there, so i try to create it
But soon i realize that i cant create the folder (error: not unique name)
It seems like my folder is already exist but just not show in
    "PeopleTools > Portal > Structure & Content"
What step should i take to bring out my folder?
    Thanks

If you create a folder, then migrate that folder as part of a project, then it might not show up in Structure and Content in the target system. If that happens, usually deleting app server cache, or waiting 24 hours will clear it up.
I avoid this problem by migrating the parent folder even if it hasn't changed. By migrating the parent folder, PeopleTools will invalidate the cache for the parent folder that exists in the target, causing it to reload all child folders and content references. This trick works every time.

  • BI 7.0 Content Install

    Hi Gurus,
Can any one let me know how to install BI 7.0 content by step by step process? I will assign full points.
    Thanks in advance
    Sri

    Hi Srinivas,
BI Content is shipped in the delivery version (D version). Before you can work with BI Content objects, you have to copy them from the delivery version (D version) to the active version (A version). This means that you must activate the BI Content.
    Prerequisites
Make sure that the metadata was already replicated for the SAP source systems for which BI Content should be activated. The delivery versions for objects that are not source system-dependent are only available for activation of the BI Content after replication.
    Procedure
    1. In the main menu of BI Modeling choose Data Warehousing Workbench: BI Content (Transaction RSOR). If you are already in the Data Warehousing Workbench, select the BI Content functional area by clicking on the corresponding pushbutton in the left-hand navigation window, or by choosing Goto --> Install BI Content.
    2. Collect the objects you want to activate and check your settings for activating BI Content with respect to Install, Match or Copy and Active Version Available
    3. With Install, define how you want to install the BI Content.
If you have a large number of objects, SAP recommends you use the Install in Background option because installing a large number of objects can take a long time. Modifying objects that are already active can take an especially long time to complete.

  • Replace Smart Object content

I have a photo template with a few smart object. The templated works fines when i perform a "replace content" command. I was trying to automated this with an action, however the action just places the same photo when i point it to a folder with many images. Is there method of having the action cycle through the images?

You can't use the Replace Contents action step in a Batch to flow in a folder of different images unless you use a Javascript to direct it. That can get very complicated if you've never worked with it.
Variables and Data Sets is the standard method of approach with many tutorials online.
Video Layer framing is quicker and more versitle. You won't find any documentation on that method, will require more experimenting probably.
If you're more comforable with just actions and batches, then you could try a different layer structure. Create an action that you can batch directly on the images that:
    - Selects all layers.
    - Convert to Smart Object (hopefully content is same size between files?).
    - Places your main background file as a SO.
    - Moves the main background SO to the bottom.
    - Transforms the original SO to the correct placement. (use a dummy layer to record or group before transform to properly record values).
Before, you were batching the same Replace Contents statement on all files, when none of the files contained the Smart Object you wanted to affect. That's why it didn't work. Here, you are Batching the individual files, sending them to another folder, or overwriting them by 'Save and Close'. Your main content is placed underneath the contents of each file.
    Good luck,
    -f

i was told that query is used to display the data i insert in the BI content(because i'm supposed to use BI content to display these data),in which there are infoareas created inside,so what should i do next?
You will design Queries to analyze the data available in the InfoProviders ( InfoCube, DSO, Info Object etc.)
There are Standard BI Content InfoProviders...if u are using them then just creat Query on top of them..If u are using Customized infoProviders ( Created by u ) then create Query on top of urs.
Open Query Designer..from ur Start Menu > Business Explorer > Query Designer...and follow the above mentiopned process.
    Or
Use Tcode RRMX to open Query Designer and create a Query.
    Regards,
    Ram.

  • Step by Step process for tranporting objects

    Hi Gurus,

  • Negate Boolean for Step.result.passfail

Ok, I'm looking for why TestStand is doing what I did not expect.
The first passes "Fail" to "!Step.result.PassFail" and  uses a data source of "Step.result.PassFail" this step always Regardless of the value of "Fail"
The second passes "Fail" to "Step.result.PassFail" and uses a data source of "!Step.result.PassFail" and operates as I intended. (Fails if Fail is True).
A brief search yeilded the "Don't do that... negate in code" answers to the old "how to Negate Boolean for Step.result.passfail?" question. But this does not explain the unexpected behavior and I'd really like to understand whats really happening here.
Attached is a simple example that demos the behavior  using dialog express vis

"!Bool" equals "!bool", as long as you make no case sensitive string compare
Ok, the trick is understanding expressions.
Play a little game with me please. Here are the steps to follow:
    1. Open your sequence file Funny.seq. Select step one.
    2. In code module tab, select the parameter Error Out value. Current content is "Step.Result.Error". Open the expression editor.
    3. In the expression, type "ABC" (including quotation marks). Press "Evaluate". You will see that the expression must either
    3. a) point to a container or
    3. b) be a container itself.
    4. Close the dialogs (cancel expression edit dialog) and open on for the parameter Fail (current value "Step.Result.PassFail"). Open the expression editor.
    5. Again, type "ABC" in the expression. Evaluate it again.  You will see that the expression must either
    5. a) point to a boolean or
    5. b) be a boolean itself.
What do we learn from this steps?
"Step.Result.PassFail" is the lookup string for a boolean variable. So the evaluation results in a pointer to a boolean.
"!Step.Result.PassFail" is the negation of a boolean variable. Evaluation will therefore fetch the value of the lookup string (type: boolean) and then negate it. So the result will be a boolean value, but it does not point to the variable "Step.Result.PassFail" anymore! Since the result is boolean, the expression passes evaluation.
That is the reason why "!Step.Result.PassFail" as parameter will NEVER pass the boolean return value of the VI to the TestStand dataset (aka execution).
    Let's proceed:
    6. Move to step two. Switch to tab "Data Source". Open the expression editor for the data source expression.
    7. Again, type "ABC" in the expression. Evaluate it again.  You will see that the expression must either
    7. a) point to a boolean or
    7. b) be a boolean itself.
So, catch up: We have the same issue here as step 5! We are not referring to any variable anymore once the expression gets evaluated!
So why does it work as desired nevertheless?
I gave the explanation in my previous post:
    Norbert_B wrote:
The reason why your negation in the data source works is the status expression:
    Step.DataSource !="Step.Result.PassFail"? Step.Result.PassFail = Evaluate(Step.DataSource):False, Step.Result.PassFail ?"Passed":"Failed"
As you can see, your expression does NOT equal "Step.Result.PassFail". Hence your negated value of this variable is evaluated as stated in the case-select part (Step.Result.PassFail = Evaluate(Step.DataSource)). This evaluation results in your negated value. Next, the Result is set to either "Passed" (evaluated to True) or "Failed (evaluated to False).
You make a STRING compare in the first part of the status expression. YOUR data source DOES NOT MATCH the expected string.
So in the TRUE case, you evaluate your new data source and write the result back to Step.Result.PassFail. So essentially, this step (in your case) simply negates the content of Step.Result.PassFail! Next expression will query the boolean value of Step.Result.PassFail and write either "Passed" or "Failed" into the Step.Result.Status....
hope this is now more clear,
    Norbert
EDIT: The only weird thing is, that in the first step during execution TS does not create a warning (or error) because you assign a return value of the module to a "True" (boolean value).
One thing you can also do to increase understanding about the "issue": Simply write "True" or "False" (without quotation marks!) into the expression field "Value" for the boolean return value of the VI.....
CEO: What exactly is stopping us from doing this?
    Expert: Geometry
    Marketing Manager: Just ignore it.

  • SHA2 Algorithm support in Adobe Acrobat 9

    Hello,
    1) Does Acrobat 9 supports SHA2 Hash algorithms while signing PDF file?
    2) As per my understanding PDF is signed using below approach
Step 1. Take the PDF contents
Step 2. Calculate the Hash of the content
Step 3. Then sign(Encrypt) the hash. (here again we calculate the hash)
So we are hashing the content twice.
If I use SHA1 algorithm in Step2 and SHA2 algorithm in Step3, Adobe 9 is able to verify the signature. But if i use SHA2 algorithm in Step1 & Step 2
Adobe 9 is saying "Content altered....."
      Why so?
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance
    Priyanka

SHA2 was only added in Acrobat 9.1.  Also, the Microsoft Base CSP is needed for SHA2 support - Base CSP is included in Vista and Windows 7, but in XP it needs to be downloaded as a seperate addon.
How are you setting the values in your SecurityHandler?  Off the top of my head, I believe in order to use SHA2 to hash the content (your "Step 2") you need to use AES-256 as your encryption algorithm which required a different cryptVersion be set in your SecurityHandler structure.
