BI 7.0 webtemplates - How to save a bookmark

Hi,
In 3.x webtemplates/web reports we can save the bookmarks on the IE explorer current session directly(not going for FAVOURITES), where as in BI 7.0 webtemplates this functionality is not there.
I want the same functionality to implement in BI 7 templates, how can I change the 7 webtemplates, so that when I click on 'Bookmark' function it should not ask me to save in Favourites, but display the created bookmark in the current IE explorer .
Thanks & regards
Ramesh

You can do a Copy & Paste in the Bookmarks Manager (Shift+Ctrl+B) to create a copy of a bookmark.
You can also drag the (fav)icon in the location bar to a folder in the Bookmarks menu drop down list or to a folder in the side bar (Ctrl+B) or to the Bookmarks Toolbar.
In the side bar you need to click to the left of the icon to prevent Firefox from opening the bookmark.

    The built-in Firefox Sync service allows you to store your settings, including bookmarks, on a Mozilla server. This isn't accessible as a file like Google Drive; it can only be used by connecting another copy of Firefox to your Sync account. You can read more about this here: [[How do I set up Firefox Sync?]] (I haven't tried it myself since it changed recently.)
    The cross-browser Xmarks service is more focused: it just does bookmarks. http://www.xmarks.com/ (I've never tried this one either)
    If you prefer working with files and you have a Dropbox or similar account, you could in theory back up your Firefox profile folder, or more particularly, the bookmarkbackups subfolder. I haven't tried that myself. To find the folder:
    Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
    In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button
    A window should launch showing your currently active settings files. The bookmarkbackups folder should contain dated .json files which can be used to restore your bookmarks to another copy of Firefox.
    Alternately, someone might have created an add-on for saving Firefox bookmarks to the cloud another way, but I haven't heard of one.

  • How to save/backup bookmarks in firefox 5.01?

    Dear Support,
    Please teach me how to save/backup bookmarks in Firefox 5.01?
    (1) On the File menu, there is only "Import" option but no "Export" option for me to export or save my Bookmarks.
    (2) On the Bookmarks menu, there is no "Manage Bookmark" tab as some online help suggested.
    Thank you.

  • In JS, how to save a bookmark which can open in main, not sidebar?

    I did lots of search on the web. People have been struggling with this problem for many years.
    The scenario:
    My standard_weight.php takes height parameter either from $_GET or from $POST. The web page has a form to let users type in height.
    Control-D can save the location, but not the height.
    My page is too simple to ask users to create an account and save profile.
    So I want to provide a link users can click and bookmark the current page with height.
    <pre><nowiki><script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript">
    function CreateBookmarkLink() {
    title = "my ideal weight";
    height = function_to_get_current_height_value();
    url = "http://my.site.com/standard_weight.php?height=" + height ;
    if (window.sidebar) { // Mozilla Firefox Bookmark
    window.sidebar.addPanel(title, url,"");
    } else if( window.external ) { // IE Favorite
    window.external.AddFavorite( url, title);
    } else if(window.opera && window.print) { // Opera Hotlist
    alert("Sorry, your browser doesn't support this function." );
    return false ;
    if (window.external) {
    document.write('<a onClick ="javascript:CreateBookmarkLink();">Add to Favorites</a>');
    } else if (window.sidebar) {
    document.write('<a onClick ="javascript:CreateBookmarkLink();">Bookmark Page</a>');
    } else if (window.opera && window.print) {
    document.write('<a onClick ="javascript:CreateBookmarkLink();">Add Bookmark</a>');
    </script>
    </nowiki></pre>
    When the link is clicked , a dialog will pop up and the user can save the bookmark.
    The problem is that when the bookmark is opened, it is in sidebar. The bookmark property has the check for "Load this bookmark in the sidebar."
    Asking users to clear the check is not a friendly solution.
    Is there anyway to get around this problem?
    If you google this topic, you can find that people has been struggling with this for long time. I guess that they just end up with saying "sorry, your browser doesn't support this function." on Firefox.
    Best wishes to Firefox !

    Hi vidyamarihemanth,
    thanks for your consideration and reply.
    problems is, as i said, i need to backup the bookmarks that are '''currently ON''' my android device (samsung galaxy sII, android 2.3.4, firefox nightly builds)
    your method is a good one for people who need to move their backup FROM the computer TO the android device (if only you can import it via firefox mobile...), but I need to do '''THE EXACT CONTRARY'''.
    If anyone got an idea... up!
    i've looked in every single folders of android (up the sdcard too) and wasn't able to find anything :'(

    How do I save and import my bookmarks from another hard drive? When I try to open the installed Firefox on the old drive, it (obviously) opens a browser from the new main drive, free of bookmarks. Is there a way I can save the bookmarks on the old drive without opening a browser?
    The guts of my computer were rearranged and I got a new main hard drive. My old one is still in there and I can get stuff from it, but when I go to the Mozilla folder on the old one, I can't figure out if there's anything I can do to get all my bookmarks from that drive to my new one, where Firefox is newly installed.

    If you open Firefox then Firefox will always use the default profile folder as found via profiles.ini on your system drive.
    You either need to import the file in your current default profile or copy the file to your current profile folder while Firefox is closed.
    Firefox 3 stores the bookmarks and the browser history in [http://kb.mozillazine.org/places.sqlite places.sqlite] and no longer creates an HTML backup by default.
    There are also (five) JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder within the Firefox profile folder.
    You can either copy the file places.sqlite to your [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] or import the most recent JSON backup from the bookmarkbackups folder of that old profile.

    "Application Data" in XP/Win2K and "AppData" in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
    Go to: Control Panel > Folder Options > "View" tab > under "Hidden files and folders", select "Show hidden files and folders".
    You may want to un-check the box "Hide extensions for known file types" to see the file extensions of all files.

    Usually it goes to the last folder used or the folder the current PDF was opened from (I am getting the latter in my current Acrobat). If you want a different folder, you will have to go through the tree to your desired folder process.

  • I can't figure out how to save my events onto an external hardrive

    I have been looking at the event libraries and everywhere to figure out how to save my files onto an external hardrive. I currently use FCPX to edit Call of Duty Montages for people as my job so I need this to work. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I really need storage.

    In the Copy Files Into: field there is a pop up that allows you select where your media is copied to.
    Looking at the above screen shot if I want files to be copied to my External LaCie drive I just tick that one.
    Firstly you will have to create at least one Library on the External to send it there.
    There is the CHOOSE option that allows you to navigate anywhere on the the system to manually select a destination.

                    InfoObject infoObject = infoObjects[1];
                    Webi wreport = (Webi)infoObject;
                    ObjectRelativeIDs personalIDs = wreport.PersonalCategories;

    But the report is presents in the Folder also and in user's personal category also.
    I dont want the report to be in the folder (Report Sample) if i saved it in user's personal category.
    How can i do that?

  • How to save JList items!

    hello,
    i m creating a class that has three JList components.
    My problem is how to save the each JList items into a seperate logfile(ie. text file).

    More info required:
    What are in the JList? Strings? Custom objects?
    Do you know basic file IO?
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/essential/io/index.html
    What you will need to do is get the model, ilterate over each element, then write that element out. If the element is a string, then that is easy, just create a FileWriter, and write the string, followed by a new line.
    If it is a custom object, then the task is harder, and you need to decide how that object should be represented.
    If you are after a computer readable view of the model, rather than a human readable, which can easily be read by Java back into a ListModel, then you want to look at XMLEncoder and XMLDecode, or the Serializing Objects tutorial.
